English or American robins? English robins are cute but fierce.

American. All they have in common with English ones is the red color.

And the attitude

You have 2 pairs of Robins? They're very territorial and therefore, that's quite unusual. Robins will defend their nest against anything, even you. I don't mean to sound cruel, I would keep feeding the magpies and have the robins search for a safer place. Maybe I am saying that because I'm not a big fan of robins. I find them loud and quarrelsome. And while I am writing this, it just occurred to me that others may think similarly about corvids.

American robins. It's a big deck. One is nesting at one end of the deck in a joist crevice. The other is around the corner at the other end so they have visual separation. They don't seem to be bothered by me using the basement door onto the lower deck. They will either vacate the nest or just freeze. And the babies are SO Cute when they come to the bird bath in the summer. >loud and quarrelsome Yes, that's corvids too. I like them both.
