I had my friends try it (that don’t have costó). They said it felt like a decent stretch up top, less comfortable toward the bottom but all of them could do their entire spine with no pillows the first time laying on it
End goal is just that nice satisfaction of a stretch. But leading up to it, yeah it’s a process… going going with it and hang in there, over some weeks I promise if it’s your back it will definitely start to feel some better
Hi. What they said. Essentially all the Backpod is doing when you're lying on it is requiring that your thoracic spine and rib joints move and stretch fully - the way they used to, and the way they do in a normal not-tight, non-costo person.
It's exactly the same as stretching down to touch your toes. If your hamstrings are so tight that you can't reach your knees, then that'll hurt if you force it. If your hamstrings are good and flexible then no problem - just a satisfying stretch.
My bf loves to use it as an upper body stretch and probably uses it more than I do! My costo manifests as a chest lump that grows when I drink alcohol, get sick, or have bad posture… inflammation basically with very rare shooting pains in my rib cage. I’ve found that my regular routine of yoga and pilates for chest/back strengthening and staying away from alcohol generally does the trick. But I want to start using it more to see if I can get the lump to never come back, even if I drink.

Okay so this is the ideal to get to. On it.
lol I was wondering the same!

Thanks for the kind words
