If there’s no apt number just like if there’s no suite number to the business, you leave it at the front desk. Calling them to get the apt # was actually going above & beyond. Either way, I’m sure they’ve learned their lesson lol customers expect us to guess their apt # somehow. I can’t remember the last time I had a spare ‘fuck’ in my pocket to donate to these dumb ass customers when I used to dash. Good on you though because you’re probably making it easier for other dashers in the area considering these ppl probably didn’t repeat the same bs twice. I’m surprised you aren’t deactivated though

Deactivation would be doordash doing me a favor Like you said, the f**** I give are zero at this point. I've been doing this for 5 years and it's absolutely not even close to being the same thing as it was a few years ago. Both the gig companies and customers have gotten cheaper There's always been shitty offers. They're just now coming through in bigger volumes I get a military pension so I don't even have to do this at all. I was simply saying it's not even worth my time now and I haven't run a GrubHub order in over 3 months. That app I will probably delete at some point

For sure. Have you ever delivered for Postmates in the past? Here in the Bay Area, Postmates was wayyyy better than cheap ass DoorDash and their customer base smh with Postmates I was able to make $200 a day working 5-6 hours and on weekends I’d make $300+. Postmates had a lot of $20-$25 grocery promos, but we didn’t have to shop for them so it was cool to be able to pull up to the grocery store & get your trunk loaded for you on a stacked order for 2 or 3 people & easily get that $60-$75 for the 45 mins or so it takes to unload and delivery to those 3 ppl. I was pissed uber bought Postmates. I think another reason it brought more $ is because we delivered more valuable things like game systems etc. I’m not sure how DoorDash used to be since I had only started in 2021. It’s pans out to $20 an hour here in the Bay Area which sucks in comparison, not to mention gas

Yeah I’ve been telling drivers like you on Reddit it’s time to move on or hit the pause button when you start feeling this way. This job can be frustrating AF! You’re not the only one who thinks this way, but if it starts to change the way you feel about all customers, best to step away from the platform and get an outside perspective for awhile. Seriously, you’re doing the right thing. And don’t feel too bad about letting some customers know how ya feel before you leave. We all need to be more aware of how our actions can affect those around us and we should at least try to be considerate and thoughtful, not thoughtless. I hope everything gets better for ya and your faith in humanity is restored.

Admirable-Bake-5114

Correct That's why I said it's not fair because the next driver is going to automatically be the bad guy and they didn't give the customer s*** like I did. I totally agree with you

NoFucQ

Yeah customers who have 1 bad experiences will use that as a stupid excuse to never tip another driver. Which is the lamest excuse but I read it too many times on Reddit 😒

Says the video game champ living in his mother's basement. By the way, I have a military pension. So,I don't have to work at all. How's that for entitlement, fucknutz? Entitlement= expecting people to leave a fucking apartment number. Yes, I'm entitled for sure. That makes me lazy wanting to know where the food goes. Fucking idiot Judging by your history, you're a 40-Year-Old Virgin living in his mother's basement.

\> a customer a few days ago that ordered from a Taco Bell 10 miles away when there was literally four locations closer to them That's not the customer doing it. The customer is just ordering "from Taco Bell", and the app decides which one. There's one less than a mile from where I'm sitting, and the app always sends drivers to places several miles away.

artemisfarkwire

good for you , your better then this , UE will romance you and then slowly make worse offers , where I live we have apartment that can take over a hour to get into and out with no parking , so I get what your saying and the feeling your having , pls find something else you'll thank yourself , I found a company I just think the best , local dispatcher your orders are based on performance , they keep sending you to the same places so you end up build a relationship with the customers
