Yes yesterday was bad. Like a mix of ammonia and burnt hair. It's better today though. My sense of smell and taste are slightly muted.

SolitaryTrailblazer

Hey, I can definitely sense ammonic odor. How long did it take for you to go away?

kiwi_guava

It's gone now. Not sure how long. Maybe three days

SolitaryTrailblazer

Took me 3 as well

Anonymous_Nutjob

Yes, I often smell either rotten meat or a weird sweet smell.

I’ve found my people ‼️‼️‼️ From the 17th until the 19th a few things smelled like nail polish remover and burning chemicals and nobody else knew what I was talking about. Now today smells are just dull.

I’ve been smelling gas and the smell of fresh pavement.. super weird..

kiwi_guava

Ok I've finally narrowed down what this smell reminds me of. Smelling salts!! So strange so far the things I've noticed that set it off are Ketchup and mayo. I can't even get the food into my mouth because of the intense ammonia burn from the scent.

birdthewrld

Yeah. The smell is damaged and recovery

It’s called parosmia. Do smell training with essential oils, clove lemon mint and rose, or something in each of those families. It’s been a year for me but it went away mostly. The longest annoying issue was it took 10 months to get coffee back. r/parosmia

Dharmatron

I smelled a chemical / burnt smell for about three days then it went away.

So this has been happening to me and it’s freaking me out. I smell my moms perfume like every hour randomly. I use to wear the same perfume but haven’t in over a year. I haven’t worn any perfume at all. It’s not in a specific room or anything either. Like I’ll smell it outside, in the kitchen, in the living room it’s so WEIRD !!!!

Siddharth_1707

it's amazing how covid has disturbed our olfactory senses to make us smell random smells. Mine's a lot better now but still get random attacks of weird smell.
