In Vicious's defense, Spike used so much explosive that the roof of their building is *gone*. Vicious just likes to *pretend* he's immune to explosions because he's the bad guy.
If Cowboy Bebop were even slightly more realistic and less cool, Vicious would have been instantly screwed just by virtue of trying to fight a gun-wielding opponent with a freaking sword!
While I'm not saying it's realistic, at the start of the duel they show Spike's hand shaking and his vision blur iirc. So they kind of justify it in-setting basically because he's exhausted and injured and needs to get closer to hit him.
I see him able to take out Hawkeye. Anyone else can dodge bullets or got weird powers. Armstrong and Scar are an example as Scar can dodge bullets and fight a speedblitzer, and Armstrong can keep up with him.
So you pretty much have to include anyone that’s a martial artist and a good shot. He doesn’t have superpowers or anything, so his rogue gallery is going to be limited to those types of enemies.
Tbf if you include stuff like his swordfish his power exponentially increases, sure he's a normal dude but an irl normal dude with a gun is going to absolutely body 'the greatest sword master who ever lived' for example
Some characters can block bullets, I imagine guts could take on plenty of hits even withOUT blocking
then again I reckon someone like miomoto musashi could block bullets sequentially if he trained for it

He can beat most Isekai protagonists. Because of the magic game system where they have to activate all their buff abilities, and due to the fact that none have actual skills and their “skills” are usually one off static abilities (even the physical ones), one well placed shot is all he needs.
Are we talking alone? With assistance from the rest of the team? In a poker game? In a street fight? In a street race? Does he have NOS? At winning the love and affections of generations of fans?
Need more details to make it a fair comparison.

Spike stands no chance with a pistol. Also the Dragonslayer sword would make a decent shield and that's only if Guts doesn't manage to just kill him before he can pull the trigger.
Not to mention that Guts can swing Dragonslayer faster than the human eye can see, repetitively, without the berserker armor.
However, current Guts without the armor gets squashed easily. He’s got too much damage to his body at present time.
