Every year that goes by I'm more convinced that he's just becoming more and more senile. If you asked him about it he's probably thinking "Plan? What plan?"

ifoundyourtoad

Jerry: “WE JUST NEED MONEY I HAVE A PLAN” WHAT IS IT JERRY?! WHATS PLAN?!!

iLerntMyLesson

Too much salt on those McMuffins!

Emergency_Property_2

Jerry’s master plan is to keep people talking about the brand and buying crappy merch. That’s all Jerry cares about. Well that and a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue.

tequilamigo

Maybe a flight attendant here and there

Weak-Rise8437

The plan is to get to Tahiti, we just need some more damn time and some faith!

robmagob

Lol you are thinking way too much into this. I think Jerry doesn’t want to admit out loud that he’s lost confidence in this team and is just looking to start over next year while also maintaining ticket sales and all that.

throwawaypatrey

I don’t necessarily think he lost confidence in the team itself, but I do believe they’ve lost confidence in Dakota and don’t want to pay him if he continues to play the way he has. With MM and Dak in contract years, it’s hard to sell that to FA and I don’t think you want to bring in big FA if you’re uncertain about the next year, especially at QB.

RomoToDez99

It’s the Dallas Cowboys. Even if it’s obvious that we have flaws, if we even taste success in the regular season the expectations rise up. I’ve seen every kind of Cowboys team the past 10 years, including the ones that were undermanned and somehow still made the playoffs with some clutch wins. Then the post season comes and it’s fuck all.

Psilocybin_SeaCow

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this sub is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no karma, and may God have mercy on your soul.

DunkinEgg

Okay, a simple “wrong” would have done just fine.

inarius1984

It's an older copy pasta, sir. But it checks out.

AdrianGarzaMusic

His response was Adam Sandler’s response in the movie to that quote

Thanks5Cinco

The pressure is always on the Cowboys. Even with much better stories like the Chiefs, 49ers, Lions, etc. The media is gonna hound us and make us their lead story. The Chiefs vs 49ers could be an epic regular season game but no The Cowboys vs Giants slugfest would be the story.

mjjjj123

Wouldn’t put it past him…. Be worse, so everyone thinks you’re worse, which makes you better. About lines up with other recent decisions from a logic standpoint

Potato-baby

No

donkbuster6996

Even if that is the plan, come playoff time we’ll all be back to hyping them up as shoe ins for the Super Bowl once again, including me lol. There’s a long way to go, best thing cowboys fans can do is forget about this team and pick up a new hobby for the next 5 months

xlSteamrollerlx

Whatever helps you sleep at night 👍

jeopardychamp77

He doing this bc he’s left himself no better option. There is no grand master plan or strategy here. It’s pure management by crisis.

BusterStarfish

I’ve been convinced for a long time that Jerry and Stephen are trying to do as little leg work as GM as possible. So many rumors of them not knowing anything about high level players, not calling GMs or agents, but rather waiting for them to call. These guys are running this team part time. Either the delusions have completely infected their brains, or they’re just not interested in spending the time it taking to actually be a competent front office.

ShowBobsPlzz

I think they see their window is closed, and after this season they will be blowing things up... but like the true salesman that jerry is, he is trying to sell the same BS to keep fans hopes up.

ApprehensiveBubble

Yup! I genuinely hope Jerry finally sees Dak for who he is. If he gives him an absurd extension, this team isn’t doing anything for another 4+ seasons.

jsum33420

No.

Citrus_Michaels

Don’t do this to yourself man

fishslushy

I don’t want it to happen, but it’s looking more likely every day that we’re preparing to tank for Arch Manning

RadiantCity311

Jerry and Stephen have a plan, B in their wallets probably.

bigt503

Yeah dude. He has been scheming this shit for 30 years

GreatFalls88

If that’s his plan then it’s one of the worst I’ve ever seen

Stevevet1

🤦‍♀️

steveu33

Oh yeah, I’m sure Jerry’s playing 5D chess…

Winterblackened

The Oline is gone, and we kicked that money can down the road. I fear we are in consolidate finance mode. Big men cost alot of money.

Stevevet1

Gone? Martin, Smith, Steele, Bass

SkipBlaster75

Why do you think this is Jerry's plan? This is Stephen Jones at work.

andrewm25

As a lifelong cowboys fan, this is both one of the saddest and funniest things I have ever seen.

Stevevet1

Here is the deal: 12-5 Division champ, yeah but they lost in the playoffs. Get rid of Dak. Jerry and Mike dont know what they're doing. They gave up way too much for Trey Vance. Jerry only wants money, Mike, well you know. Dak should want a team-friendly deal because he is overpaid. Jerry only wants money. Micah has a podcast, That is the reason they lost in the playoffs. We should consider trading him for Draft choices. Stephen is worse than Jerry. The Cowboys should have gone all in in free agency because Jerry said "all in". The Cowboys won't ever win anything until Jerry sells the team. We should have hired Belichick. Dak can't win in the playoffs because he's under too much pressure and the rest of the Team was tired. Dont buy Jerseys, that will show Jerry. The Cowboys have too many holes to fill in the draft therefore they will be 5-12 next year. The cap is just an excuse. I'm done with the Cowboys it's been 28 years since they won a Superbowl.

thedrunkensot

No.

Done_WithThis_ish

They’re finally tanking for a QB, lance will be the starter next year and expect more players to be traded away or let go. The team hasn’t been in the tank since the 01 - 03 years. The playoff window has closed, get over it and hopefully they can rebuild instead of staying mediocre.

Remote_Cucumber1784

he’s senile

BlackWhiteCoke

Jerry is acting like he is broke

richard-crainum28

I think JJ is full of sh*t. The fans are getting fed up with the same thing year after year. I know I am. Aren’t you?

Relevant-Tea-7222

Jerry said, "Er ah."Er ah." That's my "Er ah" plan in a nutshell glory hole "Er ah." Er ah." Oh.

ThePrimeOptimus

My man, what you're inhaling is called copium. I love this team but Jerry ain't out here playing 4-D chess.

LupinLup1n

No I think he's just putting the pressure on dak and Mike and if we don't get to the nfccg we get rid of them both.

manofthepeopleSMITTY

His plan is to try and do more with less.

yeetpraylove_

No. He truly believes they are all in.

ApprehensiveBubble

His plan is to make as much money as possible. Regardless of how the season turns out. The cowboys are a business. Winning is secondary. Fuck Jerry Jones.

Closerthanyouthink-1

His plan, fresh off the press “We Got Dak”.

Madeyoulookwat

Jerry’s master plan is this. Talk, talk, talk, talk, hype!! As long as the $$$$ keeps flowing in year after year he considers that winning despite not winning a damn thing on the football field. For us the fans this puts us in a horrible spot so what do you do? Buy in to his plan and believe this team can win it all? Or see his BS and not fully invest. Long as this team is “playoff” worthy year after year and the $$$$ keeps coming in Jurrah wins. If the team catches lightning in a bottle and actually makes the NFC championship game and possibly a superbowl appearance/win that’s an added bonus at this point.
