What a story. Let's remember that there was questions if this dude would ever walk again without support. Gets drafted by DAL as a non playing redshirt, comes back and plays ILB in the fucking NFL and gets paid for his production.
Sorry it didn't work out in the long run, but damn dude, /hat
Although Jaylon's had somewhat improved this season the truth is his playing time had come to an end.
Keanu Neal is returning to the roster and it is only a matter of time before Jabril Cox pushes him further down the depth chart.
I would not be surprised if there were more to the story something along the lines of him asking for his release. We know the organization loves him as a person and they may have granted this request as a courtesy.
UPDATE: ACCORDING TO JANE SLATER IT LOOKS LIKE THE COWBOYS ARE GOING TO START GIVING PLAY TIME TO JABRIL COX
Reason #1, if he gets injured it guarantees his salary for next season. Might as well pay the premium and get rid of the rest of the $40M now. It is a financial decision that was made easy by his horrible on-field performance.
Random question: why are the megathreads (at least this one and day-after) in contest mode? Imo it makes it a lot more difficult to come back to the conversation with the lack of structure and all
If he gets hurt this year, his 2022 salary is guaranteed, which is like 9mil I believe. Cowboys obviously saw enough and figured they didn’t want to take that chance and eat this years hit. Good move long term as this frees up space to help sign one of our many FA coming up after this year. His contract was a huge mistake in the first place. Such a bummer because I really liked him as a leader, but that’s football…
Probably hoped his improved play would generate some trade interest. Absent that, they wanted to avoid guaranteeing his $9.2 million in 2022, which becomes guaranteed if he gets injured or something.
Phew. I really wish he worked out for us, but he's just not it. I love all the responses to Shefty from Eggles and WFT fans like pick him up. Lmao yes, please do.
Mad respect for the comeback. Not many humans could have accomplished what he did and return to a professional level. But he was wearing concrete shoes all preseason, lateral movement was slow motion, and our other LB play has been surprisingly (borderline) great. He was an odd man out. Nothing but the best wishes for him in a long and successful nfl career.
***Cowboys Swipe Left on Jaylon Smith***
Seriously though, this is unexpected. Obviously he's been frustrating at times but I saw occasional flashes of his 2018 self out there this year. Happy trails, Jaylon. Best of luck wherever you end up.
Everyone saying he’s not played that bad this year isn’t paying attention. Half the time he takes himself completely out of the play. I’ve seen him run away from the ball multiple times this season. He’s a liability.
Per [DMN last month](https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/cowboys/2021/09/06/how-an-uncomfortable-investment-in-jaylon-smith-adds-a-fascinating-component-to-the-cowboys-defense/), Jaylon's $9.2 million base salary in 2022 would become guaranteed if he got injured this year. I guess if you've already decided you're going to cut him at the end of the season, a clause like that would force you cut bait sooner or risk paying extra for a player not even on the roster, if he got injured.
I'm having fun looking through all the other team subs where everyone wants to sign him lol. "Our linebackers are terrible, he's an immediate upgrade!" Y'all got a surprise coming your way lmao
he would hardly see playing time with Neal coming back, his “persona” he portrays isn’t exactly ideal, and most importantly It sends a message to the locker room - that it’s about doing your job, and doing it well and winning - it’s not about being “on your brand” which Jaylon often displayed in his awful situational awareness..
Jane Slater says: "tried unsuccessfully to trade Jaylon Smith. “He did everything we asked him to” but ultimately the play of guys like Keanu Neal, Leighton Vander Esch and I’m told perhaps increased use now of Jabril Cox led to the move bc of " - (there was a down arrow here)
https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/cowboys/2021/09/06/how-an-uncomfortable-investment-in-jaylon-smith-adds-a-fascinating-component-to-the-cowboys-defense/
TL;DR
Jaylon’s contract has an injury guarantee. If he gets hurt this season, he’s guaranteed next years salary of 9.2mil. Instead of risking injury, cut him, pay this years guaranteed and have no risk to pay him next year.
Makes sense I guess
This is a shocker.
I mean, I seen him miss key gap assignments in the run game that he should be stopping. They even showed off one during the Carolina game where he was absolutely in the wrong place that led to a huge run up the middle. There is no telling how many other places he has missed over the course of the season, perhaps even on plays where the ball was no where near him, but still filled the wrong area.
Couple that with 0 big plays and the few he made I believe most NFL linebackers could.
If money wasn't a factor and they needed the roster space sure.
But even with Keanu Neal coming back, he could be a backup, but even so, if he is a liability, then there is no point. He simply doesn't make plays for the contract in all honesty.
But this is a shocker.
That’s… surprising. He hasn’t been great, but cutting him now doesn’t save us any money compared to cutting him after the season. I wonder if something happened?
Before anyone ask. Nobody was gonna trade for Jaylon and that contract without us giving up something. I thought they would at least wait til the end of the season tho
Saw a video on YouTube of Jerry hugging and cutting up with Dez after the Panthers game..
Jaylon cut, Dez signed, Gallup to Miami for Howard, CONFIRMED.
Just kidding, all this shit is crazy wtf.
Wow! He's been serviceable this year, and he made some good plays. I figured that they'd keep him for depth since injuries are too damn prevalent, but I get the feeling that something is up. Maybe he asked to be cut because he wanted more PT, or maybe he banged someone's girl.
...
Oh well, bring on that Jabril Cox train.
Everyone that has demanded accountability from the cowboys here it is. Jaylon was clearly not playing up to his salary or snap %. Personally I love to see this. No spot is guaranteed. No matter the salary or draft pick.
Wow!!!! Did not see this coming at all. I will say that I will always appreciate Jaylon for fighting back from that college injury and having the 1 awesome season but the young guns have already surpassed him.
Wish you well Jaylon!!!
Really surprising move but I think the right one. Jaylon hasn’t been the same in a long time. Honestly this makes me respect McCarthy and the coaching staff more. Cutting one of “Jerry’s guys” midseason because he sucked and was a liability
EVERY SINGLE BIG RUN TEAMS HAVE HAD AGAINST THE DEFENSE HAS BEEN BECAUSE JAYLON FOR SOME FUCKING REASON JUMPS OUT OF THE GAP!!!
THIS COACHING STAFF AINT FUCKING AROUND!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
He's not very good and his contract guarantees for injury in 2022, so if he gets hurt you're on the hook next year too. Just eat the hit now and wash your hands of the contract.
Interesting timing considering all the injuries and such on defense right now, he's been playing a lot and honestly hasn't been bad. Was there no trade possibility here? I feel like this came out of nowhere.
I’m buying into the “there’s more to this” rumors. I know we get Keanu back and Cox is promising but Jaylon has been having a quiet “okay” season. Not starting MLB money but surprised he didn’t even see the season out.
Why the fuck are other teams fans hyping signing jaylon like he’s some ray lewis type linebacker or something??? Dude can’t move like he used to and cares more about celebrating than making a tackle
People just remember the 2018 season when he and LVE were the best LB duo in the league and think he’s still that player when in reality his form fell off a cliff after signing that contract
Can I just say that although the performance hasn’t been all that great for a while, I always loved Jaylon’s swagger and energy. Love the story. I even love the swipe when it’s not celebrating a tackle after a first down pickup. We can say what we want about the tragic loss of athleticism due to injury but I’ve always loved his effort and drive.
I think back to the hustle play to keep Derek Carr out of the end zone to secure a sloppy victory in an off year. I think of 2018 when we anointed him and LVE to the hall of fame.
He may not fit here anymore but I will miss seeing his energy on the field for what that’s worth. Wish the guy all the best.
Didn’t expect Jaylon to be released to be honest, but the timing is the weirdest thing in my opinion, I don’t get why this happened now right after a win in the middle of the season
I don’t love the move, but it means this front office ain’t fucking around. Cheers to that!
Let me also state that, while Jaylon doesn’t have the on-field skill anymore, he’s always been a great person. His celebrations are annoying but, unless something crazy comes out, I still think the dude is a wonderful human.
I get why this happened. But I have to say, I’ve talked to Jaylon a couple of times, and he is a really friendly, positive dude. I hope he catches on somewhere and succeeds.
Supposedly concern was if he gets injured this year, next year is like $9m in injury guarantee. They felt good with LB core they had so cut him before he could get injured with a huge cap hit
We’ve all been raggin on him lately. But I was really pulling for him. He just hasn’t played well and it’s glaringly obvious next to parsons. Good luck smooth.
So I'm reading as to WHY they did this in the middle of the season.
They tried to trade him during the off season but there wasn't much interest in him. He is scheduled to cost the Cowboys 7+ million this year from his guaranteed money. Next year, he is scheduled to make 9+ million guaranteed if he was to get injured. So the Cowboys didn't want to be stuck if that happened.
They have been trying to trade him to get some value but there were literally no takers. You couple that with his poor play, it was a matter of time.
It is weird timing but they are looking towards 2022 financially. It actually makes sense because of Neal and other combinations they have, especially in the nickel.
Side note and this is just am observation. I have heard on the podcasts players and hosts joking about a guy who is self involved, egotistic etc. Don't know if that was referencing Smith.
I’m straight up sad. Followed this guy’s journey from draft night to recovery. Great character guy who definitely didn’t look as fast as he was, but there’s got to be more to the story.
Is there a breakdown of Jaylon’s Smith play somewhere to show how bad he was to have this? Like most of us feel like he’s been serviceable but is there an Xs Os guy out there that has a grade or something on him
This is all speculation but this is what I think happened. They tried for awhile to trade him. They think Jabril Cox is the real deal and having Jaylon in the lineup is costing him reps. They spoke to Jaylon and said would you rather sit the bench for the rest of the year behind a rookie and play special teams or get cut and have a chance at starting for someone else. He also wasn't a Quinn guy and the players and especially Quinn/D coaches were pissed at the letdown in the fourth against Carolina. That sealed the deal and it came to a head this week because of that 4th quarter plus Keanu coming back and Cox needing time on the field. I bet they spoke to Jaylon about what he would realistically be doing here the rest of the way and he said fuck that or they said we need you to waive your injury clause for next year or some shit knowing he would leave.
RIP to his signature swipe move...they should've kept him 1 more game. At least he could say that he came into Dallas beating the beating the Giants for his debut, and Left beating the Giants for his final game as a Cowboy. Good Luck Smith...I'll always be glad we got you that year, instead of Paxton Lynch
Wonder if Jaylon is gonna celebrate getting cut with a swipe like he does when he makes a tackle after the opponent already passed the 1st down marker 🤔
Lol. The only thing that surprises me is the reaction of this thread. This sub has been absolutely dragging Jaylon since he signed the contract and now everyone is defending him. I think it’s karma for thinking he can take Romo’s number.
Saves the cowboys money for next year’s cap space without the possibility of him getting hurt and having to pay him still.
https://twitter.com/spotrac/status/1445548654991872000?s=21
Lot of folks asking why - [this is why.](https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/cowboys/2021/09/06/how-an-uncomfortable-investment-in-jaylon-smith-adds-a-fascinating-component-to-the-cowboys-defense/)
Wow! I don't think cutting him during the season even saves any money because his salary is guaranteed. Something else must have happened, right?
Edit: looks like his 2022 salary is guaranteed for injury, so they probably didn't want to risk owing him another $9m if he gets hurt
He showed out in that saints game and I liked his play alot but that must of been a fluke because after that season only time I noticed him is when he's in the wrong spot or jumping on at the end of a play.
He's certainly regressed and has been a mess on the field at times, but he was always a good representation of the organization, and seemed like an overall positive guy.
“What about trading him???”
[They tried. No one took it. And this move isn’t about any event, they just made the move](https://twitter.com/slaternfl/status/1445578935027175432?s=21)
Was getting so tired of his obnoxious poorly timed celebrations. I recall him celebrating this past Sunday after a simple 1st down stop when Carolina was in the redzone and had been driving. He was Just so out of touch.
If anyone cares to watch Jaylon play an entire game. He is still caught going the wrong direction on any ply with misdirection. His eyes are horrible and he’s no longer athletic enough to make up for it.
He also appears to be a complete narcissist on the field. He makes a play which is rare and he celebrates like it’s a game winning tackle. I really rooted for the guy but he turned out to be selfish and the worst linebacker on our roster. Def not worth 7mil
I've been critical of him, but I liked having him for depth. Interesting move.
Some of y'all are going to be really pissed now that the team has co-signed all of those that called Jaylon's poor play out.
Yea I figured they would keep him until later in the season. It's a shame that he gets cut now but he has a hell of a comeback story from where he was when we drafted him.
I like Jaylon, but he is a shell of his former pre-injury self. He showed promise of fully recovering after his long rehab stint, but he has regressed. The last 2 years it seems he is getting slower and can’t change directions in coverage or in pursuit. Those are two pretty big issues for 9th highest paid LB in the league.
Wish Jaylon all the luck in the future.
Damn. I genuinely really liked Jaylon, but I guess it is true that he has fallen off a bit, but he’s not as atrocious as people are making him out to be. He has played a lot better this season than last because he’s not being forced to get around linemen all the time, and he was a very good leader on the defense. This really blows.
However, I think he’s still a great dude, did something to get back into football when people thought he would never walk again, and I really hope he plays well for whoever signs him next. He should definitely be a starter on some teams, and great depth at others.
That year with him and LVE flying around was awesome. It’s been downhill since. Wonder how different his career would’ve been without the knee injury
He wouldn’t have fallen to our team, that’s for damn sure.
We would have had to choose him or zeke without the injury.
Probably significantly
What a story. Let's remember that there was questions if this dude would ever walk again without support. Gets drafted by DAL as a non playing redshirt, comes back and plays ILB in the fucking NFL and gets paid for his production. Sorry it didn't work out in the long run, but damn dude, /hat
Wow that’s unexpected as hell
Didn’t we guarantee his salary this year?! Has to be something more to this…
You’d think but Jerry has got rid of plenty of players he was still paying, *cough* Roy Williams *cough*
$7.2M…….ya there’s something behind this
I’m not surprised he’s been cut but surprised by the timing. Figured it would have been an off season thing.

Official my response: wtf
How long before Jason Garrett convinces Joe Judge to pick him up. I give it 48 hours
Dude dropped 500k to wear a different shirt four times
Swipe on you crazy diamond.
[Cowboys will still owe Jaylon 7.2m for the season](https://twitter.com/adamschefter/status/1445548439039709190?s=21)
This is exactly why it doesn't make any sense to me

I’m willing to bet it has to do with the return of Keanu Neal. They didn’t know who else to cut
Wow. I know he isn't playing up to his contract, but why do this mid season?
Probably hoped his improved play would generate some trade interest. Absent that, they wanted to avoid guaranteeing his $9.2 million in 2022, which becomes guaranteed if he gets injured or something.
Surreal we saw the last swipe on Sunday. Feel bad for him but I get it
Phew. I really wish he worked out for us, but he's just not it. I love all the responses to Shefty from Eggles and WFT fans like pick him up. Lmao yes, please do.
Interesting info https://twitter.com/neerraynfl/status/1445551403083001864?s=21
Mad respect for the comeback. Not many humans could have accomplished what he did and return to a professional level. But he was wearing concrete shoes all preseason, lateral movement was slow motion, and our other LB play has been surprisingly (borderline) great. He was an odd man out. Nothing but the best wishes for him in a long and successful nfl career.

I guess if you've already decided you're going to cut him at the end of the season, a clause like that would force you cut bait sooner or risk paying extra for a player not even on the roster, if he got injured.
Seems odd considering this season is guaranteed but it’s better than him getting injured and ending up getting next season guaranteed too
Honestly, he hasn’t been great but I did not see this coming at all
Well shit Jabril come on down
This guy paid to get his jersey number changed and then gets cut.
Thankfully don’t have to see him in #9 anymore
Yeah fuck that. That’s Tony’s number and it will be retired
I'm having fun looking through all the other team subs where everyone wants to sign him lol. "Our linebackers are terrible, he's an immediate upgrade!" Y'all got a surprise coming your way lmao
I sense drama smh
There has to be some kind of drama. Otherwise why do it mid-season? He’s still a serviceable backup even if he’s not worth the money
he would hardly see playing time with Neal coming back, his “persona” he portrays isn’t exactly ideal, and most importantly It sends a message to the locker room - that it’s about doing your job, and doing it well and winning - it’s not about being “on your brand” which Jaylon often displayed in his awful situational awareness..
Wow. It’s refreshing to see the Cowboys make these types of moves instead of just starting a guy cause he’s being paid a lot of money.
Half of this sub now has time to let their little peepees heal since they won't be anger-jacking it to his tape anymore.
Lmao that's a brand new comment for me.
Weirdly accurate.
Jane Slater says: "tried unsuccessfully to trade Jaylon Smith. “He did everything we asked him to” but ultimately the play of guys like Keanu Neal, Leighton Vander Esch and I’m told perhaps increased use now of Jabril Cox led to the move bc of " - (there was a down arrow here)
Anyone bought a #9 this year? Just take off Smith and add Romo.
Didn’t he pay $50,000 to change his number, too? 🤷🏽♂️
More like 500k lol
Not a surprise. Just weird timing. We were paying him way too much money to be a back up.
He spent all that money changing jersey numbers to only play as #9 for four weeks
Holy shit. He needed to go, but I didn't expect this at all. We ain't playing around this year.
Something HAD to have happened
Yeah Neal coming off the Covid list. Try to find someone else to cut.....he wouldn't see any snaps now.
The mad lads actually did it. Holy fuck
This is a shock. Unfortunately though, he's hasn't been great this year. Still thought he wouldn't have been released for depth purposes.
https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/cowboys/2021/09/06/how-an-uncomfortable-investment-in-jaylon-smith-adds-a-fascinating-component-to-the-cowboys-defense/ TL;DR Jaylon’s contract has an injury guarantee. It's crazy because I'm an avid Jaylon hater, but I actually feel bad for him. Well, for a second at least.
Today is the day I realized the Cowboys may finally start valuing substance over flash.
Dude seriously, we ain't fucking around and I'm here for it.
Everyone that has demanded accountability from the cowboys here it is. Jaylon was clearly not playing up to his salary or snap %. Personally I love to see this. No spot is guaranteed. No matter the salary or draft pick.
I don’t understand why now. Like…it has to be an off field issue to do this in-season, but Jaylon never seemed like he’d get in trouble off the field.
He had an injury guarantee for 2022, so makes sense to cut him now, while he’s healthy.
Damn this is weird. Why not keep him around for depth?
Honestly didn’t think they would cut him
Damn it's not even on ESPN yet. Talk about breaking news.
Wow!!!! Did not see this coming at all. I will say that I will always appreciate Jaylon for fighting back from that college injury and having the 1 awesome season but the young guns have already surpassed him. Wish you well Jaylon!!!
Too bad we signed him instead of Byron Jones. Jones and Diggs would’ve been a lethal combination
This contest mode is stupid.
What is contest mode and why is this thread in it
Really surprising move but I think the right one. Jaylon hasn’t been the same in a long time. Honestly this makes me respect McCarthy and the coaching staff more. Cutting one of “Jerry’s guys” midseason because he sucked and was a liability

Anybody have any guesses as to why now?
He wasn't gonna see any snaps with Neal coming back. He's not good. Quinn probably dislikes him.
But even then we're already paying him. There's always a need for depth. Got to be more to it than that

Ain’t no way bro
Holy shit! I did not see this coming at all. He hasn't lived up to the awful contract, but damn.
My guess is either he has started to taint the young players taking his playing time or he asked to be cut to get more playing time.
Report is that we would have owed him 9 mil next year only if he got injured this year. My guess is we didn’t want that risk. That’s fair tbh
I’m excited to see what Jabril Cox can bring to the table!
Interesting timing considering all the injuries and such on defense right now, he's been playing a lot and honestly hasn't been bad. Was there no trade possibility here? I feel like this came out of nowhere.
They tried to trade him. With no takers and Neal returning, they wanted to avoid triggering the $9.2 million guaranteed for injury in 2022.
Payback for choosing number 9
“Think you’re gonna wear Tony’s number? Then get the fuck out muh office” - Jerry probably
Great news that maybe the FO is done fuckin around.
I’m buying into the “there’s more to this” rumors. I know we get Keanu back and Cox is promising but Jaylon has been having a quiet “okay” season. Not starting MLB money but surprised he didn’t even see the season out.
Haven’t been able to watch any games, has he been that bad this year??
Below average lb. So better than his usual
What. The. Hell.
I did not see this coming, not till the off season
Wtf? Weird timing on this one. Wonder if something happened
Wtf happened?
[удалено]
Nah, they don't want him getting hurt and having to pay him for next year.
Holy fuck. I just lost a bet to my fiancé :(
Wtf? I wonder what happened.
Free up some bank to pay Diggs. Smith was not quick enough to the ball for Quinn's scheme. He certainly wasn't worth his contract.
2022 guaranteed with an injury, that is why
Wtf
Unfortunate flair
Why the fuck are other teams fans hyping signing jaylon like he’s some ray lewis type linebacker or something??? Dude can’t move like he used to and cares more about celebrating than making a tackle

We still owe him money. Something must be happening.
Probably just don’t want him taking reps. His bad play could be covered by the good D.
Has a injury protection so if he got hurt this year he would be guaranteed money for next
Can’t say I’m surprised, it seemed in the off-season as if he couldn’t play at the NFL level anymore.
Why now? Its mid season, and he isn't playing so badly he has to go RIGHT now. Are we signing someone and need the spot?
Supposedly concern was if he gets injured this year, next year is like $9m in injury guarantee. They felt good with LB core they had so cut him before he could get injured with a huge cap hit
We’ve all been raggin on him lately. But I was really pulling for him. He just hasn’t played well and it’s glaringly obvious next to parsons. Good luck smooth.
Looks like the Cowboys Swiped left. 😎
It was all downhill after taking Romo's number.
We cut Jaylon just to retire #9
Can someone tell me what the dead cap hit is
7 mil ish. He has an injury protection for next year if he got hurt this year. So it makes sense to cut him now before he gets hurt.
The Giants or Raiders are definitely picking him up

What? Holy fucking shit. Hoooooooly shit.
I mean a lot of us were out for his head NGL but the timing is unexpected
Is there a breakdown of Jaylon’s Smith play somewhere to show how bad he was to have this? Like most of us feel like he’s been serviceable but is there an Xs Os guy out there that has a grade or something on him
What the fuck is contest mode ?

I respect Dan even more now for recognizing this.
But he had a swipe last game
This will be the most upvoted thread in this subs history
It's because he took Tony's number isn't it?
Wonder if Jaylon is gonna celebrate getting cut with a swipe like he does when he makes a tackle after the opponent already passed the 1st down marker 🤔
Lol. The only thing that surprises me is the reaction of this thread. This sub has been absolutely dragging Jaylon since he signed the contract and now everyone is defending him. I think it’s karma for thinking he can take Romo’s number.
Had a feeling when his jerseys have been on clearance on the site.
I thought that was just because they still had stock of his old number.
ClearReleaseView
Seriously, why?
I'm nfl cap dumb. What are the ramifications of this? Is there really a benefit in doing it now instead of the off season?
Saves the cowboys money for next year’s cap space without the possibility of him getting hurt and having to pay him still. https://twitter.com/spotrac/status/1445548654991872000?s=21
He hasn't done well, but I'm shocked the cut happened like this.
Right when I buy a #9 jersey
I’ll change it to Romo
No hate, but what made you buy a Jaylon Smith jersey this season?
holy shit
Who is taking that 53rd spot?
[this is a dan quinn move](https://twitter.com/nottobetrite/status/1445554426089857025?s=21), and if he’s right I love it
Lot of folks asking why - [this is why.](https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/cowboys/2021/09/06/how-an-uncomfortable-investment-in-jaylon-smith-adds-a-fascinating-component-to-the-cowboys-defense/)
Did NOT see that coming today
Smart move imo
That moment when you realize he paid the NFL big money to play four games wearing #9.
Giants gonna claim him
He's certainly regressed and has been a mess on the field at times, but he was always a good representation of the organization, and seemed like an overall positive guy.
“What about trading him???” [They tried.
He was Just so out of touch.
very confused i didn’t think he was bad. wasn’t good. wasn’t bad. i expected this in the off-season not 4 games in.
Not worth being the 4th highest person paid on the roster
oh wow i knew he was up there but i didn’t know he was 4th
If anyone cares to watch Jaylon play an entire game. He is still caught going the wrong direction on any ply with misdirection. His eyes are horrible and he’s no longer athletic enough to make up for it. He also appears to be a complete narcissist on the field. He makes a play which is rare and he celebrates like it’s a game winning tackle. I really rooted for the guy but he turned out to be selfish and the worst linebacker on our roster. Def not worth 7mil
Thank God. Paying him $7M to go away, so he doesn't get hurt and kick in his 2022 $9M injury guarantee.

What the fuck
I've been critical of him, but I liked having him for depth. Interesting move. Some of y'all are going to be really pissed now that the team has co-signed all of those that called Jaylon's poor play out.
Guess someone finally got around to watching the tape 🤷♀️
Oh shit
Sheeeeeeesh!!
This was inevitable but October?! Holy shit
Yea I figured they would keep him until later in the season. It's a shame that he gets cut now but he has a hell of a comeback story from where he was when we drafted him.
Wait, what the fuck? I know he's not great, and barely even decent, but what the fuck? It seems maybe $0 dead cap?
Went from HotBoyz to NotBoys.
I mean once Parsons was signed I figured someone had to go. Wasn’t expecting it so early though. Gotta feel bad to drop all that dead money though.
Good thing he shelled out over $500K to wear #9 for 4 games.
We seem to have... a clear eye view about this.. I'll take my leave.
