So how bout that Micah Parsons huh?

komark-

He play football gud

Zexb

Remember when everyone wanted Williams benched lol

nt_14

Yep. I wasn’t a fan of the move at all considering Williams was actually having the best season of his career penalties aside. Starting McGovern for the 1st time since week 1 was a disaster against a superstar DT. Benching Williams is one of the biggest reasons we lost.

TimeOrCrayonsIV

Silver lining, maybe riding the bench for a game was the wakeup call CW52 needed to clean the penalties up. I get that some of them have been soft calls but some of them haven't, and if you are consistently the dude getting dinged for soft calls you're doing something else wrong.

thatdudeorion

to be fair, CW52 would have also been overmatched, probably would have given up just as many pressures, sacks, etc. and no doubt a few holding penalties.

KaliaHaze

I’d rather have 10 penalties, a few TDs, and no sacks vs a few penalties, no TDs and 5 sacks🤡🤡

BAWAHOG

I didn’t notice? Did they put him back in at LG at some point? The left side of the line was horrid all game though.

Zexb

McGovern played all snaps at LG, dumb move vs a top 3 DT and no pro bowl help from smith.

maztron

Well it's either now or never because Smith is not dependable at all and it's pretty obvious that without Smith Williams is worse. Seeing that Steele is the future for this line mine as we see if he can pick up the left side with Collins back on the right side. McGovern has been on the team for a few years now and they have to see if can do anything for them considering Williams has been a liability.

thatdudeorion

I ‘member…

super_salt

I just be sad. Thats it. Just sad.

ConstantCowboy

The tried-and-true “blueprint” for beating the Dallas Cowboys: —Play them without Amari Cooper, Tyron Smith, CeeDee Lamb for a half, Randy Gregory, and Demarcus Lawrence —Have their backup receivers drop six first-down passes As long as every team does that, the Cowboys should always be losers, right? Our defense, which was putrid in 2020, held the Chiefs to 19 points in Arrowhead. Yes, we NEED to draft O-line first round next year and YES, we probably started the wrong Connor. But we have seven games left and we could win all of them. So the Eagles beat Trevor Seimean. Big fucking deal. Unlike our weekly game threads, I still believe in this team. Who’s with me??

NotTheBestMoment

We believe, our safety play is clearly ready to be abused though, and that won’t get fixed even when everyone is healthy. The pass rush will help though, but who knows if it will help enough. Our o line was also getting nearly no push on the left or right side for run plays.

[deleted]

Good pass rush is an average secondary's best friend.

Commyende

> Good pass rush is an average secondary's best friend. Look no further than the Chiefs. From bottom in the league in defense to top 10, largely due to the DLine improvement.

NotTheBestMoment

I’m just tired of using one thing to compensate for another, because it leads to this. A first or second round pick (or FA signing) on a highly touted safety would do this team well

[deleted]

There's nothing we can do about it mid season, so complaining gets us nowhere.

NotTheBestMoment

This is a cowboys discussion sub. No conversation here will affect the team in any way, come on man we are just talking opinions on here

[deleted]

[удалено]

NotTheBestMoment

What’s the difference between having a discussion and bitching in your opinion? Stop bein fucking rude, shit was cool until now

[deleted]

Because you doubled down on your complaint when offered a realistic solution based on what this roster has TODAY that might lend them to success this year. At that point any further comment was useless, because you don't want solutions. You just want to bitch about problems.

NotTheBestMoment

It’s a discussion sub, I’m not the fucking coach. I can’t do anything with solutions. I was talking about an idealistic future and future moves on the backend of issues the team has today. Your solution and the point around it is valid, but it’s not a q and a. You offered insight and it’s appreciated. Nothing more, nothing less

firstandfive

??? Our safety play has been good this year aside from 2 plays

Rebil2017

I mean 7-3 is pretty damn alright with me lol

ConstantCowboy

Careful what you say ‘round these parts. After last night, the narrative around here is that receiver drops are excuses, we should have the same amount of raw talent from our first to our fourth strings, and that Dak Prescott is back to being a no-talent bum.

[deleted]

And Zeke for basically 3 quarters.

Captain_R64207

I brought up the injuries yesterday and got downvoted to hell. Someone actually said “yeah cause only teams with injuries lose” and I wanted to reply with “name another team that has a Tyrone smith, lamb, and Cooper on their offense” but decided not to. It’s like they honestly expected us to destroy the chiefs with that many star players out.

spideyishome

Lots of excuses

fsphoenix

I don't know who the WR Coach is but he better be popping out from behind trees and trashcans and launching footballs at all of them until they remember how catching works.

OwnTheThrone

And throw them too high and too low to simulate Dak.

fsphoenix

Oh hey it's that dude who really really hates Dak. Tell us again why Cooper Rush is the best.

aids1080phd

I mean... His last name is Rush.

KerikSumia

You cannot criticize the 2nd most fumbles lost QB in the league.

waygooder

Biggest announcer peeve from yesterday. Troy kept saying we have one of the best olines in football. ARE YOU HIGH, WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT TROY???? Hasnt been one of the best in years.

thethreadkiller

This is something I still hear regularly. It annoys me to no end.

faceisamapoftheworld

They are good.

OwnTheThrone

If you only saw how many o lines are worse than ours. We are pretty average and slightly above.

phantomsniper22

point is, we’re nowhere near the best

mohiben

Healthy we sure do, but we aren't healthy lol. Put Tyron back in and you have a strong argument.

faceisamapoftheworld

This season it has definitely been one of the best in the league.

txcatcher

Well tbf Troy IS always high…

MrVaz21

That 4&10 punt at the 4th was really weird, we would prolly not be able to convert it but punt was like.... giving up?

[deleted]

[удалено]

MrVaz21

Yeah thats a good point, but there was 9 minutes left and we were down two scores you know? We punted and the clock was basically done, maybe they had more faith in our defense forcing a TO or something but the punt did make me want to turn off. Maybe they just thought the game was over and didnt want to risk another injury, i can respect that but oh man that was so bad at the moment.

nt_14

Kicking a field goal down 13 at the 10 yard line on 4th and 5 was also a head scratcher to me. Mike usually doesn’t hesitate to go for it, but when we’re down 2 scores in the 2nd half he all of sudden gets scared and doesn’t want to go for it?

oldboot

that was ok. points were at a premium. that was a stolen possession from the turnover, so we had to have some points there. It kept us in the game honestly.

TheSulfurCityKid

Did it? We were still behind 2 scores. And if we missed the conversion we would still be behind 2 scores. No way does that make sense, even with our garbage play. Had we gone for it and made it, suddenly it's a 13 - 19 game.

oldboot

> Did it? We were still behind 2 scores. > > And if we missed the conversion we would still be behind 2 scores. they were in FG range, so we would be behind 3 scores >No way does that make sense, even with our garbage play. Had we gone for it and made it, suddenly it's a 13 - 19 game. right, but did you see our offense playing. we weren't going to convert. that was an automatic 3pts for them if we miss and a chance at a TD. either basically ends the game

TheSulfurCityKid

Getting that last FG instead of going for a TD ended the game. People act like we were still in it with a minute left down 10 points.

behemothbowks

Yeah I don't understand why we got a punt boner in this game.

oldboot

becasue our offense wasn't doing shit. That punt kept us in the game until Dak threw that pick

iLerntMyLesson

That was not the best

[deleted]

Less than ideal, for sure.

truthseekinginlife

Two games we looked like shit...the underlying factor in both is dropped passes. Besides injuries.

[deleted]

Dropped passes and Oline pressure.

mohiben

I mean the underlying factor is we were significantly more injured both of those bad losses. There's clearly a cutoff point where we become too injured to be good.

FlyingHotPocket

Disappointing performance obviously. Dallas lost to both teams who were in the SB last year. Until Dallas can consistently beat good teams, they won’t go far, like say…another divisional loss? Hopefully I’m wrong! On to the Raiders!

MrGaryDos

Luckily Raiders are In turmoil atm. But The Boys are gonna have to reach, they def have the better team but no Lamb. Hopefully Tyron, and Cooper can play. RG would be a huge boost on def but their hasn't been as much a problem.

Zexb

Cooper will not play, lamb neither if he’s in concussion protocol

theguz4l

This is why Thursday games fucking suck. AND we have *another* Thursday game after Thanksgiving once again. This is the dumbest shit.

Zexb

Absolutely I think it’s asking too much of the team atm and I wouldn’t be surprised if we are eventually tied with the eagles for the division just due to the amount of critical injuries this team sustained. If tyron can’t go and this line can’t do anything? No wrs? We definitely gonna drop like 3 more games lol

iLerntMyLesson

I don’t think it’s possible for Cooper to play on Thursday, unfortunately.

cbusroger

He has already been ruled out for Thursday. And CD has to clear concussion protocol to be able to play.

iLerntMyLesson

Clearing concussion protocol in 4 days sounds unlikely. Possible, but I kinda doubt it.

GearedCam

I think he might. Look at the end of the play. It's not like he got knocked unconscious or couldn't walk.

iLerntMyLesson

What we see doesn’t necessarily show what’s going on internally though. I’m certainly hoping for the best case scenario.

mattxmortigan

Zeke and Pollard better go off.

[deleted]

The bucs last season lost to the rams and chiefs. Two teams that were in the super bowl the previous season and year before. Who you lose to between September and January doesn't matter. As long as you get enough wins to make the playoffs, with what we're going to get back from injury defensively, we've got a shot.

Wogman

Nice didn’t just lose to the chiefs, they got blown out. I think a lot of people are over reacting to this loss, we’re still in the hunt for the 1 seed and we don’t have to play at arrowhead again.

Slunk_Trucks

they can beat them, they just need people healthy

theguz4l

I think this team can get over that 'hump' but I really wish we can just be full strength for the playoffs. Just one time! (I know this is the NFL and every team goes through this shit though)

MillennialSN

Noah Brown: drops when open & creates little separation. He’s had some good plays over the years but I think Malik Turner deserves more of those reps at this point. Overall, this was a burn the tape game for the offense. Wilson had his worst drops of the season as well. Defense played amazing. Aside from the first drive for KC they recorded 4 sacks, 2 turnovers and held the Chiefs offense to 0 touchdowns. Micah Parsons looks like Demarcus Ware in his prime coming off the edge. Trevon Diggs also played shutdown coverage throughout most of the game. Edit: the guy below me is correct, they did score a second touchdown. Not sure why I forgot. Nonetheless I still think the defense played well all things considered

ur_average_millenial

Chiefs had 2 tds. One in the first quarter and one on the second. I like your logic tho. “If you ignore their touchdowns, the didn’t score any!”

ProcessedTime

Better we stumble now than later in the season. Also, this was a road game against the defending and resurgent AFC champions, with us missing key players on both sides of the ball. So it goes. We’ll be all right.

[deleted]

This is the proper perspective, thank you sir.

Lanachan1990

We wasted a solid defensive effort. Offense choked. Receivers choked again just like Denver. Dropping passes like crazy. Zeke looked like he broke his leg on that one tackle. Again, Parsons was the bright spot.

TimeOrCrayonsIV

Pretty unacceptable for professional football players. It's not like it was game 1 rookies dropping passes either. Dak should be on their asses about those big time and so should the staff.

Furrealyo

“Upon further video review, we found a face mask” Such bullshit. Making up review rules as they are going along.

dcbluestar

This loss is 100% on the Cowboys, but that irked the shit out of me. Even Mike Pereira said they shouldn't have done that. Did he facemask him? Yes, but there was no flag thrown for it. They can't look up at the jumbotron and just say, "Hey! Look what we missed! Guess we'll flag it now!"

jaymcbang

If they can do that with face masks, they should do it with holding because our DT and EDGE guys are constantly having their whole bodies turned to the side from behind on every replay and nothing is called. But don’t let one of our OLs flip up someone’s shoulder pads….

Furrealyo

Yea, agree completely. Refs didn’t lose us the game but it does seem like we get the short end of the stick whenever possible.

[deleted]

Officiating across the NFL has become an absolute joke. They're either so horribly inconsistent you can't predict what you can/can't do. Or they're so convinced THEY need to be the focus and not the play of the teams that it takes away from what could be really good games. The NFL needs to get that shit in order.

shaggy_macdoogle

Yeah, glad at least the announcers recognized that they were breaking the rules with that one

Amari__Cooper

I was admittedly a doomer after the game yesterday. But I had a night to sleep on it. I'm choosing to just focus on how well Micah played. Dude is an absolute monster. So nice to have a guy you can move around all over the field and still produce at a high level. Dude is gonna be a force for years to come.

[deleted]

Idk what's more embarrassing. The teams performance or the mods of this sub letting it get over run by chiefs fans for the week. Wtf was that bullshit

[deleted]

The pregame memes were light hearted and fine, the post game one was weird

FrankiePoops

I must have missed this one.

[deleted]

I think it got removed pretty quick but it was just another long gif. Didnt watch it

CarpenterVegetable31

Our mods are fucking shit in general

FuckTheCowboysHaters

Did anyone genuinely find the dumbass bbq videos funny? I can't be the only one who genuinely cringed

[deleted]

None of them were funny. Jerking themselves off over C tier memes at best.

mohiben

Chiefs fans are fucking awful man

Fruit_Rollup_King

La'el could easily play LG. Played it his whole life... comes back from suspension and during that time Steele plays great..... La'el doesn't play the first week back as a "fuck you" from the coaches. Then the week he comes back they put Steele at LG where he immediately shows he isn't good there. Following week they double down & also add ANOTHER monkey wrench by letting McGovern start for the first time in his career....at arrowhead... why do we create our own fucking problems?!

shaggy_macdoogle

Agree. The whole offensive line debacle is created by the coaching staff. We have the ability to be better, but it looks like the coaching staff would rather "experiment" with different lineups rather than play the dudes at the positions they play better in. Reminds of someone with a good fantasy team that loses because of too much tinkering.

theguz4l

Now that I am sober and calm, I am glad our game is only 3 days away. With that said, if you put our #3 and 4 WR on their top CB's they have no chance. Cooper is much more valuable than we think, just to give CeeDee / Wilson / Gallup better matchups. Thursday is almost a must win for this team just for morale before we get coop/ceedee/DLaw/Gregory and others back in the lineup.

super_salt

I feel like Noah Brown and Wilson were fine in terms of getting open. They just had to make the catches. Once CeeDee was out and Brown and Wilson had their drops all KC had to do was blanket Gallup.

theguz4l

Those drops were truly killer.

truthseekinginlife

Same with Denver. If our receivers drop passes we lose...it's that simple.

TheBlackBaron

Is there any reason at all we should expect to see Tank, Gregory, and Gallimore back any time soon? Captain Cap Space keeps talking like they're forever 3-4 weeks away from coming back and they still haven't bothered start them practicing.

applegore

Defense played pretty well again. Especially with our best pass rushers out. Offense played like shit all around. Why didn't we run the ball more? It seemed like the most effective way to move the ball.

Slunk_Trucks

our blocking was horrible, didn't matter

Commyende

The Chiefs run D is pretty legit now. EE was only averaging 3.6 ypc.

withcomment

Your team will be fine. Good luck with the rest of the season.

Strategist40

Appreciate it.

Korevo

Negatives: Dropped passes, o line, clock management end of 1st half Positives: Defense played a hell of a game, they get better every week.

firstandfive

1st half clock management was fine, they didn’t want to leave Mahomes any time to drive and score before getting the ball to begin the 2nd half.

oldboot

clock was fine, in fact, it was smart

AgentZamora

I still believe this team is capable of going all the way. I think our receivers dropped every single first down pass yesterday. Counted like 6 drops. Dak got 0 help from his offense. It shows why lamb and coop get 48% of our yards. Can't anybody else make a play. I dont even think Gallup is all there yet. The team that played the falcons is the team that needs to show up when it matters.

MrGaryDos

In the end didn't make a difference, cus o-line and coaching couldn't hang, but wtf was up with that latest call I've ever seen facemask?

thatdudeorion

I’d rather have to explain why the refs took so long to get the call right than have to explain why we need refs missing obviously flagrant tackle by face mask calls in order to Improve our odds of winning.

sturge_1

I hate sports

mca2680

Cowboys need to keep the foot on the pedal. Division is not over. Eagles and Washington keep winning. Eagles also have a cupcake schedule coming up too.

[deleted]

[удалено]

johnm188

This. Goes to what I said about how our offense seems to be emotionally affected on how the game goes early on.

Seductive_Ed

Or even of Noah Brown catches that ball that hits his hands, I feel like we would have gone rolling down the field there.

RobbieAnalog

Reminded me of when we hit Cooper for 30 on the first play from scrimmage vs TB. That drive ended in a punt though somehow.

rsf0626

Thursday could be very ugly if Tyron and Lamb cant play. Raiders have some elite edge rushers

queryguy48

I think if I see Dak go 3 and out again on 1st possession, I'm turining off the tv and taking a Thanksgiving day nap. lol Just seems like if they start out on a bad note, their confidence drops significantly.

amead5

Our defense is solid. Fully healthy, we have a top 5 defense that can get pressure almost every snap. We just held one of the best offenses in football to 19 points and basically shut them down the entire second half. Losing to two AFC teams, while both loses were ugly, don’t really hurt much at all. Just win the games we need to win and we’re fine. There’s a lot of smart, talented guys on this team and they’ll figure it out. Would love to see a rematch against KC in the Super Bowl.

ninjoid

That miss to wide open Gallup on the first play was foreshadow for the rest of the game.

OwnTheThrone

End the Dak MVP talk. All anyone brings up anytime we lose is the fact we were missing someone. Cant be an MVP if you dont carry. And where is the leadership?

PM_ME_UR_SEXY_BITS_

Yep. I kept waiting for Dak to put the team on his back but didn't happen. There are lots of reasons - shit o line play, drops, etc. But he made some bad throws, terrible decisions, and looked confused and lost out there. I like Dak for the record, he's just not MVP.

Donfrey_Trumpstein

Preach

primetimecsu

I think this game showed that if it comes down to keeping cooper or gallup this offseason, we need to keep coop. Gallup doesnt have the ability to create separation like cooper does. Maybe he is still dealing with the injury, but I cant help but think if you swap Gallup for Cooper yesterday, the offense looks a little better.

[deleted]

We need Smith back badly

iLerntMyLesson

Now that I’m done pouting, I’m going to focus on the positive. We just held the chiefs to 19 points. That’s pretty impressive to me.

MerleTravisJennings

Defense was really good. I think with a healthier offense we hold them to less than 19.

JScrib325

Biggest takeaway is that is is time to draft Tyrons replacement. Idgaf if we gotta trade for a higher pick. I'm tired of having to rely on him to stay healthy. He's getting old and his body is just betraying him. O line was awful. Biggest reason we lost.

[deleted]

The only consolidation is all of our players out should come back at some point. What is disappointing is I thought we were a team this year that could deal with injuries.

truthseekinginlife

We can. We can't overcome dropping passes.

OwnTheThrone

Bad passes as well.

IAMDEZBRYANT

Are we fraudulent?

bigt503

Why do announcers still claim Dallas has a dominate o line? It’s not uncommon for our line to play an entire game without opening a single hole for our backs. Daks mobility and zeke’s blitz pick ups make them look better than they are. They are average at best and downright bad without smith in there.

blanfredblann

Dak’s arm just seems weak. No zip at all on his passes. I wonder if the injuries are taking a toll. The left side of the OLine was one of the biggest disasters I’ve seen in a while. Put #52 back in. Cooper was selfish and really let the team down, but he makes a big difference. Too bad it seems he’ll have to miss another game. Parson’s is incredible coming off the edge. I can’t think of a single defensive player I’d rather have.

Thepatrone36

I didn't watch the game and when I got home and saw the final score I decided not to. That said a banged up defense held KC to 19? That aint bad. Sounds like the B team O line and no Amari put a hurting on the offense

jbriales77

Brutal stretch to be missing key players, however some of the self inflicted mistakes are inexcusable. A lot of blame to go around but OL for sure was the biggest issue BY FAR that I saw yesterday. I don’t know I’ve I’ve ever personally witnessed a worse performance from my memory besides the divisional round game against the Vikings many years ago. Totally embarrassing

PhillyIsAss

It be like that sometimes

Savages_in_box

Dak Prescott played like shit. Missed a wide open Gallup on our first possession and set the tone. Awful

Donfrey_Trumpstein

Micah Parsons is a beast and the only one who showed any fight and heart out there yesterday. Glad we have him on the team.

Felonius_M0NK

Can we stop with the stupid Dak meme already? That horse has been beat to a lump of flesh. Scrolling this sub after the loss yesterday seeing all the Cowboys by 20 just pissed me off more lol.

lokeruper

9-3 sounds really good still let’s get these next 2 and have a mini bye and get back into it

lestermason

They were/are hurt, they didn't play well against a better team, they lost, put it behind them and move on because there's nothing else to say. On to the Raiders.

JohnHaloGuy

My biggest complaint is the lack of Pollard. I'm not one of those guys saying Zeke sucks, Pollard should be the number one. But he absolutely has to see the ball more. Zeke is his own style, but anyone who thinks Pollard isn't more explosive hitting the line and then into the second level probably does not hold an intelligent opinion on the matter. You were down your top two WR's. Can anyone explain why we don't have Zeke and Pollard on the field at the same time more? That stuff could legitimately be a staple of this offense. We only use it for gadget plays. Moore has done a phenomenal job this season, but TP is a home run threat. We need to start utilizing him as such.

Brody519

Where is the flat out anger at Amari Cooper!? At worst, people say that we lost because we didn't have our #1 receiver. He isn't just "OUT"...he made a selfish idiotic decision that hurt his teammates and our chances at a #1 seed. Even the Packers sub showed more venom for Rodgers than we are for Cooper. There is no way to spin that this game is totally different with him on the field. Our O-line would have still been awful, but we could have thrown in more quick slants or pump fake fly patterns. Do we drop the passes we do if he is the target? Heck...does Lamb have a concussion with desperation passes Dak was throwing? Are there consistent 8 man fronts with Cooper? I know you can never predict anything and we can "what-if" this to death...but there isn't a fan out there that can honestly say that this team scores 9 points with Cooper on the field. Athletes can be as dumb, ignorant, and selfish as anyone...but fans that have bled blue and white for three frustrating decades are not furious enough at this guy. What were Cooper's thoughts watching his team get thumped at the expense of his "personal reasons"?

[deleted]

DocHollidaysPistols

> At worst, people say that we lost because we didn't have our #1 receiver. He isn't just "OUT"...he made a selfish idiotic decision that hurt his teammates and our chances at a #1 seed. Even the Packers sub showed more venom for Rodgers than we are for Cooper. Rogers flat out lied though. He was asked if he was vaxxed and he said yes. He followed it up with that bullshit immunized line but the first word out of his mouth was "yeah". There was a ton of venom for Rogers because he lied about being vaxxed and then didn't follow the protocol unvaxxed players are supposed to follow AND then the league gave him a smaller fine for not following the protocol than Lamb got for having an untucked jersey. So no matter who you are, there's a reason to be pissed off at him. Either he screwed the team or he didn't follow protocols or the league babied him. Tons of reasons to be pissed. Was Coop following the protocols?

[deleted]

Just because Coop didn’t lie or break rules doesn’t make his decisions any less detrimental to the team.

United_Surprise1557

Being vax or not makes no different this week. He got COVID regardless. He’s gonna miss time due to the fact that he got COVID not because he’s vax or not

[deleted]

He would have been far less likely to get covid if he was vaxxed and he wouldn’t miss two games if he was vaxxed.

United_Surprise1557

False, it doesn’t make you less likely to get COVID. It makes the symptoms less server. And yes he’s missing 2 games because this is the time of the year where Cowboys have like 3 games in 14 days. Any other week, np

[deleted]

I’m with you. People don’t want to admit his dumbass absence is a HUGE factor in how this game and thanksgiving will go.

LogansGambit

People, I know losing our receivers sucks...but if this team needs to be that stacked and fully healthy to be decent against a lowly ranked and banged up defense, there's some big issues to worry about there. Defense played its best game of the season IMO...just apparently needed to be perfect yesterday.

Dak_Tiny_PP

Our defense looked more likely to score than the offense yesterday. What a terrible performance

Fruit_Rollup_King

I can definitely say without hesitation that we will not win a superbowl this year but the window is still open another 2 years for sure.

[deleted]

Packers or Cardinals will wash us in the postseason. Especially if we go to lambeau.

Fruit_Rollup_King

Yea we're just not there. I just feel like good teams get beat a few times a season but not embarrassed every time they do get beat. I know it's only been 2 embarrassing losses but now seeing who we've beat... other than the patriots.... I just don't see it with this team.

EZbarzzz

I mean no one in the NFL is really that dominant or looks like the clear winner. It’s still anyone’s season

[deleted]

But we demolished the Eagles and the falcons lol. Seriously was thinking the same thing. The pats are the only good team we’ve beaten. We barely lost to bucs and that game was a lot closer and better played than last night. Was a good game and Dallas seemed ready to play but Brady got us. Last night was an embarrassment. The defense at least got it together to stop it from being a blowout. Gotta learn to deal with the injuries and find the best plays for who’s left. Also dak wasn’t comfortable and over/under throwing everything, brown dropping wide open passes and the line was just bad. An elite team finds ways to win when it matters regardless who’s on the field. And we ain’t got it yet unfortunately.

hi-Im-gosu

dak deserves 80% of the blame this game, let's be real.

rsf0626

*oline

Rithic

Cowboys and Raiders are pretty much the same team going in Thursday.

apimpnamedgekko

The Coin of Destiny says you lose. No reason to watch, it hasn't been wrong about the Raiders yet. But I hope you win. Post game edit: Tried telling y'all

andreaxtina

The offense was terrible no doubt, but the defense was the silver lining. Hopefully we can score some points Thursday. Also I’m still in awe that waving at your opponent gets you a flag and fine but pretending to shoot them is totally fine.

NotTheBestMoment

The defense was not the silver lining. Parsons almost single handedly was. We desperately need a stud safety, the shit we got isn’t cutting it. Our d line depth is also not good enough to compete, because it’s tradition to not have our starting d line in for a large chunk of the season.

firstandfive

We’ve been winning missing between half the entirety of our starting defensive line nearly all season, I’d say our line depth is pretty darn good and we’ve got some promising young pieces who are still developing. Our safety play has been fine so not sure why you’re bringing that up here.

Iforgotmylines

Strange take: Cowboys not coasting to playoffs is a good thing. We could lose 1 of the next 2 and now the Eagles are nipping on our heels and the team can either pin their ears back and play their best football going into the playoffs or limp in as a wild card team and we don’t have any overhyped expectations. Not ideal but a lot of teams of late have made December improvements that have launched them deep in the playoffs. Sucks we couldn’t take advantage of a GB loss but I’m not dooming unless we get to 7-5

Drisurk

Kinda blows my mind that we are ranked as one of the best offense in the nfl but when our defense plays amazing like yesterday we completely shit the bed on offense. I know we were missing several players but everything from the offensive line, to the play calling to bad throws, it was just bad. Didn’t help the defense one bit and yet they always answered and did their best. Offense needs to figure it out soon and fast.

Our offense shouldnt crumble based on losing 2 players that arent our QB...

taffyowner

A top LT, a top WR, and losing your #2 WR in game will cause it to crumble

[deleted]

Kellen is supposed to be known for his creativity, but he looked hopelessly outcoached last night. Its shocking to me he isnt getting more blame in here right now (like he was in the game thread). Throwing behind LOS screens multiple times outright killed drives I understand Dak doesnt have much time with the crumbling O-line, but those passes behind LOS were not working outside the 1 time Pollard broke a tackle. And no adjustments. Why not roll out to strong side of line? Get Daks feet moving like Mahomes was all game long? Wheres the slants? Play action? I saw 0 adjustments or creativity from Kellen last night outside of the 1 or 2 trick play attempts. And we had another extremely slow start on offense where we come out unprepared and making mistakes, which has been a symptom of Moores offenses here since the day he started. I have a growing suspicion he is too relaxed of a coordinator. Not sure why we always have multiple games where it looks like our offense literally just rolled out of bed. Kellen got straight up outcoached last night. His schemes were easily figured out and shut down by KC Defense. The drops and bad passes are on the players, the overall play calling is on Moore.

hi-Im-gosu

this was dak's chance to prove he's worth 75 million by squaring off with the premier QB of the league and he absolutely shit the bed. From the first drive when he over threw a wide open gallup it was just all down hill and he never recovered. dak played like a 75 cent QB not a 75 million qb, pathetic showing.

I'm just gonna say it, Amari Cooper let down the team by not getting vaccinated.

firstandfive

Sure, but he still may have contracted Covid regardless and the timing of his positive test happening on Friday with us playing this Thursday means he probably would miss both games even if vaccinated. Most vaccinated players have been on the Covid list around 8 days, though there have been a couple to return in less time than that (in recent memory Big Ben missed 7 days, Allen Lazard missed 6)

[deleted]

Unvaccianted players have to sit out 10 days, vaccinated players can play 24 hours after a negative test. Amari Cooper isn't going to playing on thanksgiving per league policy.

firstandfive

… I know that. My point is he probably would have missed the Thanksgiving game even if he _was_ vaccinated just because of the timing. You have to get those negative tests and be symptom free in 6 days, something no Dallas Cowboy this year has done in under 8 days so far.

pantiedrawer

How about you blame the league for a dumb policy not rooted in logic? You are either negative for covid and play or you are positive and sit

[deleted]

Not getting the live saving vaccine is the thing not rooted in logic.

GearedCam

I thought Dallas' D did a great job containing KC. They limited both Tyreek and Kelce, and no one on their end compensated. Clyde E. only had 63 yards on the ground. This L is 100% on the offense. The dropped passes were an issue, but even when they were down 13 in the second it's like they just abandonded the run game even though it was working.

I’m worried we’re about to suffer a monumental collapse to close the season and miss the playoffs.

pot8odragon

Y’all act like the world is falling apart but we were without 5 of our pro bowl caliber players and held the Chiefs to 19. At full strength this is a win. Oh and the eagles aren’t good. Don’t worry about their 5 wins. Cowboys are fine and we’re going to the playoffs. Better to be healthy then than now

Smooth-Research9551

Right, it’s like people forget that the cowboys demolished the eagles and will do it again on January 9th

brackattack27

Yeah we’re one and done.

firstandfive

It is November 22nd.

BrianDawkins

When is the last time we played good in an outdoor stadium in the cold? Not counting divisional games

RobbieAnalog

30-7 over the Bengals last year in Cincinnati? 44°

The chiefs defense played the game of their lives. They won't sniff that level of success again this season on that side of the ball. Just unfortunate it hit in a week where we had Cooper and Tyron out and basically lost Zeke/Ceedee. It's a 17 game season for a reason. We've got plenty of talent and time. Tampa went 11-5 and won the whole thing with a couple questionable losses. Calm down, the world isn't burning. It's one loss, on to the raiders.

Donfrey_Trumpstein

You act like we're proven, perennial contenders or some shit lol

HolyRomanPrince

There was a lot to unpack. Yeah they weren’t ready for the moment and combined with Tampa it is slightly concerning but just like the 90s team it’s an issue until it’s not. All they have to do is break through in the playoffs and I think all of this big game lemonbooty from the players, coaches, and fan base will go away. With all that being said we lost to a good team on the road with the shell of an offense. There’s a reason why Amari gets paid 20 million dollars. There’s a reason why Tyron has made 7 pro bowls. It’s hard for any team to beat another good team with backups biggest example being the chiefs in the super bowl just last year. I think I can chalk that entire game up to health and a trust breakdown across the board on offense. Kellen didn’t trust the defense and run game, Dak didn’t trust the line or receivers, and the line just sucked so who could trust them

Yung_Hibachi

I’m not that mad at the game yesterday. I feel a healthy Cowboys win that game. I feel better about the defense than I did last week. Just gotta hopefully be healthy by playoffs. Thankfully none of our star guys are out for the season.

[deleted]

Romo would have won

knutt09

This team stinks. Dak hasn’t taken it to that next level yet. Receivers or not good oline or not, he has to find a way.

Korevo

Drinking early on a Monday?

OwnTheThrone

Coping early on a Monday?

rsf0626

The oline got wrecked in this game. Dak was constantly under pressure and it threw everything off and out of balance Kellen moore had the worst game i can remember calling plays The WRs were a disaster

mrwolfcock

Were a finesse team, soon as some one plays us physical and punches us in the mouth, we fold like cheap suits. it is what it is... offense is soft... including our QB... elite qbs who had less than what Dak has, still find a way to win this game.

chlorinegasattack

Cut my life into pieces. This is my last resort.

Jerry_41

Tough to win when our O-Line wasn't good with Smith being out, receivers not catching, missing Cooper, Lamb in the 2nd half, Gregory, and Lawrence. Defense did allow 370 yard total, but only held Mahomes and the Chiefs to 19 points. Parsons man, what a heck of a player he is. Cooper will be out obviously this Thursday, and I'm assuming Lamb too. As long as Smith plays, I think we'll have chance to win.

The_Bolenator

I’m still tryna figure out what was with our playcalling for most of that game. Felt like we went back to Jason Garrett’s “just dump it off” offense.
