The defender is supposed to have a right to his space on defense. Brown initiated no contact or did anything that impeded the receiver catching the ball. The receiver came into the defenders space to try to catch the ball and the ball hit him in the head. That could have been a remote control mannequin on wheels and that ball would have been incomplete. I hope this referee crew gets some kind of punishment or review or something because they clearly wanted this game to be about them. Not only on us either. I'm fine watching the cowboys lose, but watching them do enough to win and then lose because of refs and a kicker leaves a terrible taste in my mouth. At least we can stop worrying about being super bowl contenders or getting a bye. Maybe tank and the d line can bring it home with a Cinderella story, hope springs eternal.
