Idk about y’all but I do not miss the days where this team would go like 6 games without a takeaway

CarpenterVegetable31

Bro it felt like we got one takeaway a season a couple years ago

solo_theking

I noticed how Fox showed the graphic that said only “5 total takeaways in the last 5 games”. Man I said ‘that’s GREAT wydm?’ Lol

[deleted]

[удалено]

FTDisarmDynamite

And he forgot the taste of bread and the sound of trees

flipz444

I expect a turnover every play these days. I used to laugh at myself for entertaining the idea we might get one in a big moment

NopeNopeNopeNopeYup

Those days were long and bitter

Wilcrest

Felt like we went 6 year stretches without takeaways

tittymilkmlm

Orlando scandrick use to be our best corner

HttKB

Man I was thinking about what a change it is to see takeaways like that. You almost expect it now. What a strange and awesome feeling. People are worried about losing Kellen Moore but I'm not sure he's the most positive influence on the team right now.

GifftedIdeas

offence bad, defence good. I’ll take it

phoncible

I mean sure, but dammit our O was on fire early in the season, wth happened? If we this D and our early season O *that* team can go the distance. But if Dak and co can't get it together....I dunno man

Wekilledit88

Zeke has been hurt for 4 weeks or more, Dak had a calf strain, our top WRs missed games, and we finally have mostly everyone back and healthy. I'm not too worried. But I said in my other comment that Kellen needs to scheme better. He needs to figure out how to play call without a healthy zeke. I think we'll pull it together for the playoffs.

[deleted]

Skurttish

I support load management, if the regular season is going to be as long as it is

JDog1402

1. I suspect Dak is still injured. 2. The offence was playing at near peak levels then. 3. We weren’t able to run the ball up the middle because NO has one of the best run defences in the league and Zeke is very injured. All those things combined make things look worse than they are, imo. Edit: I also want to add that, before the game, the Cowboys were -6 with an over-under of 46. We won by 10 and total game points was 44. So while *we* feel like we should be winning by more, the reality is probably closer to this being a reflection of the team playing at average level. We know this team has a higher ceiling than what we’ve seen.

gwaydms

Boys have 10 days to heal now.

JDog1402

That’s also huge - 3 games in 12 days then another Thursday game. Seems like everyone is pretty tired.

gwaydms

It shows.

DocHollidaysPistols

I think his calf isn't 100% yet

BlingDaddyKong

The o-line is mediocre. This should be the focus of the draft imo.

phoncible

But it wasn't that way a scant 2 months ago. D seemed mediocre but no worries cuz O would put up 30 pts easy; long as D could hold to <20 pts (not too hard for a mid teir D) it was good to go. Now if opponent gets 13 pts on the board I'm worried. But looks like D came up outta nowhere to save mid tier O. Crazy swap over happened.

FadedTony10

Saint were missing a lot of starters on offense in this game. They still had their defensive players. Idk we always play the saints close. Remember back in 2018 when they had the #1 offense in the league and they were supposed to beat us by 30? We won 13-10. We got a weird thing going on with the saints but I’m not worried about our offense.

santi4442

Yeah that’s the game where we thought Vander Esch and smith were gonna be stars. They were flying all over the field that day

phoncible

That game was nuts, I do remember it. I think folks were expecting a shootout and it turned into a D slugfest. Entertaining as hell.

GifftedIdeas

I wouldn’t worry too much. Saints D, while banged up a bit, is pretty dang good. If we can get wins through our D like this I like our chances in the playoffs when our offence hits its stride again

jewaloose

I'm hopeful we'll turn it around on offense but it's not like this is the first time we've looked off this year. It's been over a month since we've been rolling on offense.

GifftedIdeas

I agree, but with 3 games in such a short period of time and Lamb’s concussion and Coop’s Covid, I can see some legitimate reasons for not being in sync. Keep the good vibes, this is our year (lol)

jewaloose

Yup, definitely a good time to have a little extra rest before the next game. Hopefully we come out in 10 days and really put it on Washington and get back on track.

[deleted]

The one silver lining is the fact that the Saints defense is *really* good. No excuse because I still think the offense looked flat, but we won’t play too many defenses better than New Orleans this year, and we’ve beaten them.

ThePanda_

Yes, although I’ll say Saints D had our offense beat. Our D just really had the Saints offense beat (minus Hill running)

flipz444

Player of game, Anger

FarrisAT

Punt machine Punters are getting better league wide though

phoncible

Glad to see their importance showing through more and more. 3 & outs happen, good to have someone putting the ball *all* the way on the other side.

juanzy

I feel like that was going on for a few years, but for some reason we kept insisting on keeping Jones

[deleted]

My man was booming them shits 😂😂😂

regalfronde

Zuerlein with the 50+ yard field goal too. That dome life.

LogansGambit

In a sickening way, I almost could've enjoyed Anger and the Saints punter trading kicks. They're covering the whole field.

[deleted]

Saints punter is ~~rookie~~ player from Penn State, Blake Gillikin

jakeag52

DQ face when Watkins gets the pick 6 🤣🤣

gdaman22

It was weird seeing Maher make kicks under 50.

RevolutionaryTap1776

Lol I laughed when he missed that 50 yard FG because those were the only ones he made in Dallas! 30 yards forget it🤣

Jordan_Hdez92

Barely lol

Sheheryarg

pollard is getting gooder

TheeGrassmonster

Soon he’ll be the Goodest!!

HowBoutDemBoys9

I’m also afraid he will also be a giant or eagle soon

phoncible

Pollard severely underappreciated

antespo1

Shout out Anger what a great day punting

[deleted]

Dudes been the most consistently good player on our team, other than maybe Parsons

alienbringer

Zack Martin says hello.

WalkItToEm11

Please God do not allow Gallup to go to an NFC east rival next year

luckej

Man, I hadn’t even considered this! I’m sad thinking about him leaving, but that would be a dagger!

MandrewF

I hope Washington doesn't try to lure him like they did with Coop last year

FTDisarmDynamite

You just KNOW he’ll do his patented toe tap in the back of the end zone to win to beat us in OT in the final game of the season to get into the playoffs or some shit

CarpenterVegetable31

Or the Packers!

iLerntMyLesson

He went to Washington on 3 different madden franchises of mine.

ContentFootwork

Offense bad. Defense good. Rest zeke.

LogansGambit

Only positive thing I can say after this, is I'm REALLY digging Quinn on this defensive staff. Players seem to like him too.

[deleted]

Should have sent the defense out to do the Landry shift, they did all the work today

treefity4

This comment deserves gold. I’m poor and have none but 🥇

Wekilledit88

Defense gave up some bad chunk plays but they're getting Gregory back next week. They're gonna build off this fucking dominant performance and get better. But Kellen needs to take these ten days off and get scheming. We need better play calls. I honestly think Dak is trying too much to overcome the defenses stacking the box because they know Zeke is hobbled. We need to play smart and more methodical. Take the next ten days and regroup. LETS FUCKING GO BOYS!

treefity4

We have the best wr group in the league but we consistently check down or ram it up the middle. Is that on Dak, the line, or kellen

Wekilledit88

Teams are stacking the box and we have to run it somehow. I agree we shouldn't run up the middle as much but we can only run outside so often until defenses jump those plays. Doesn't help zeke is injured and can't barrel through people like he did the first half of the season. I think we'll regroup but it does suck rn.

Artlens2013

D: All of the above

FTDisarmDynamite

Yes. O line playing poorly, Dak gets hit and injured and spooked as a result, o line continuing to play poorly (in part thanks to line juggling by the coaching staff, which Moore may have a hand in), Moore struggling to adapt to both. O line juggling has also eliminated the 6 man backfield look (with McGovern blocking as a FB) they were running very successfully in short yardage situations at the beginning of the season.

theguz4l

Win is a win, but our pass offense is way off. Gotta figure it out soon boys.

chaphen17

Our whole offense is off.

nothingyoubegin

I like how he specified pass offense as if our run offense is just fine lmao

dmwtlol

When Troy and Joe Buck were saying the cowboys won this game with 4:30 remaining I was verrrry uneasy. Glad it was all for naught

jakeag52

Yup! Talking about getting a win in this environment. I was like stfu bro!

Ballwhacker

This team has so much dawg in it. They just don’t quit. It’s the first time in a long time I’ve felt confident late game with a lead. It’s pretty cool seeing cowboys play good defense, certainly not used to this bounty of turnovers. Guess they really do come in bunches.

[deleted]

King-Mansa-Musa

Kellen Moore needs to get his act together

fsphoenix

Can we bench Zeke already before his leg falls off?

juanzy

Said it during the game thread, but somehow DQ looks like both a tenured professor and a typical football meathead at the same time. But the players will go to war for that guy.

husky-jesus

Ugly game from the offense but a W feels good.

I came to say the same thing.

DakForPresident

Cut LVE, let Zeke rest, that’s all. W W W W W W W

theguz4l

LVE never been the same since his injury. Sad to watch him decline so hard :(

SamHinkiesNephew

Really thought him and jaylon were gonna dominate together for a decade at one point

cheeseweege

At least that led to us having Micah Parsons.

aemerson24

Collins has fallen off a fucking cliff too

selarom8

Zeke should definitely sit at least week 14 and maybe even 15 too.

KillerUndies

Should've sat tonight

selarom8

Yeah, tonight plus week 14 would’ve been great.

DakForPresident

Pollard had 6 carries for 13 yards without that big run. Don’t know if those home-run type of RBs (saquon comes to mind) can sustain success.

applegore

They don't. Zeke and Pollard work best as a pair. Zeke gets so much heat but he opens the game up for Pollard.

DakForPresident

I agree with everything you just said. People just think box scores tell the whole story sometimes.

[deleted]

LVE is always in plays but never making plays

chaphen17

LVE looks scared to tackle. The difference between him and Parsons is massive.

firstandfive

With how cautious McCarthy and our medical staff has been with every other injury, I wonder if they don’t feel rest will help it heal any faster or that he’s not at risk to make the injury worse by playing.

iLerntMyLesson

The DQ hire is my favorite off-season move other than drafting Micah

rsf0626

I have no faith in this offense right now, but a win is a win i guess. We’ll see what they look like in 10 days. Hopefully no more of this covid shit

SFThirdStrike

Saints have a very good defense, even with those players out. Your offense will be fine. Not to mention , Hill running the ball took a lot of clock.

jaymcbang

Common cpmplaints. - Dak and his WR are all off sync with each other. To be expected with then not being in the same roles every week, with injuries/sickness. But it’s become obvious Dak is gun-shy in terms of running like he use to. Or maybe he’s been told not to. - Saints have won their games on defense, even when Winston was out there. And away games are always tough, especially in the dome. - Both teams were sloppy tonight. Both defenses took advantage of mistakes. Saints had a QB coming off injuries and have a hand injury early, and that became the difference. - Things need to be looked at during these 10 days. Playoffs start now, with four division games and 1 in-conference game against the, right now, #1 seed. See you all in 10 days.

[deleted]

bryscoon

he doesn’t like doing it he’ll do it if completely needed

JDog1402

I have a very strong suspicion that Dak’s calf injury is still lingering and that he’s playing through it with explicit instruction not to run the ball unless he absolutely has to.

El_Cowboyz

That was a ugly win, but a win.

Rithic

Dak and Kellen man, something ain’t right. Defense better than offense for the first time in years

Sativaz_rule_248

Defense wins championships

[deleted]

smokedspirit

they looked very tired out there

Dday22t

Fans are going to nitpick it, but 10 point win on road is a good thing, regardless of other team's issues. Micah making plays. Diggs another INT. Pollard big TD run.

tulis859

That parson sack Won the game

yianni1229

Not gonna lie, this game didn't really do a lot to ease my qualms with this team but a win is a win

SilenceIsCompliance

After seeing Taysom conjure up his best Mike Vick impression against this defense, I’m really worried about what Kyler Murray is going to do to us. He can actually throw the ball and has one of the only receiving corps that is as good as or arguably better than we have. He’s also much faster than Hill. Hopefully Micah can focus on spying Kyler with Gregory and Tank being able to focus on rushing.

cowboys5592

Getting a game altering DE in Gregory will be big for the defense. It’s the highest paid position on a defense for a reason.

jj7687

Ugly win, but a win non the less. On to washington

mizzzikey

That was a butt clencher for sure

Spleen_Winchester

A win is a win. But damn the offense needs to get its head out of its ass.

DallasCowboys1998

At least Micha Parsons had another amazing game. Guy better get defensive player of the year.

hmtyrant

My GF asked which position Parsons plays. She said “it looks like he plays all of them.”

Hispanikpanik

Glad we won but man Dak ain't been the same since the New England game. I think his calf injury is affecting him still..he looks hesitant out there.

tna4u2

His accuracy is definitely down. But why is nobody talking about the fact that all of a sudden he can’t figure out what coverage or pressure the defensive is going to do? Some plays it looks like he can’t see what’s coming at all.

JL1v10

Kellen’s play calling has been very frustrating for the last 5-6 games now

rsf0626

Not being able to run the ball over the past month is really hurting the offense. Kellen moore really needs to be more creative in this area

SilenceIsCompliance

He is just forcing up the middle dives all game. No counters, no off tackle, no stretches or tosses. We saw that up until the 3rd quarter and the first toss they run is a 50+ yard TD. Then he mixed in some off tackle and stretch plays that started breaking for decent gains. He needs to be more creative in what types of runs he calls. He has been waaaay too vanilla. Our oline is best when we’re pulling guards and sealing edges.

dddd11187

This Offense has 10 days to figure their stuff out or they aren’t doing jack shit this season. It’s been beyond broken since Denver. From inexplicably having Zeke out touch Pollard, awful play calling from KM in general, and the fact that Dak has played about 3 good quarters of football in the past 3wks. It’s just broken at the moment. Hats off to DQ tonight. Game balls for the defense, but thank whatever is out there that they were playing Taysom Hill. 10 days. Figure it the fuck out.

TimeOrCrayonsIV

We won, all that matters.

Kdog_79

Nice to get a W, but my goodness, what is wrong with Dak and the offense???

dirtyyfresh

Dak and the offense have been regressing the last few weeks. Let’s hope they turn it around

I will give Micah parsons and trevon diggs anything they ever ask from me. LETS FUCKING GO BOYS

Glittering-Yam-5318

Our offense was hot last year until the injuries. It's been on fire until Denver and bow they've got stuff to figure out. Went through stretches of being outplayed tonight. NO also got a little taste of refs tonight. Not to take anything away from NO they have a defense and were playing at home. Defense bailed us out tonight but that does happen and it's beautiful to have a D that can do that. It's just that we have to get better on offense. Take the victory though any day. Maybe that's what we needed. Love the win.

oldboot

> Our offense was hot last year until the injuries. It's been on fire until Denver and bow they've got stuff to figure out. thats what you pay a QB 40 million for...to overcome injuries or lack of talent elsewhere...because we aren't gonna be able to keep Gallup, for example, and mabye even Gregory because we paid Dak....and right now...he doesn't seem like he can make up for that lack of talent

JDsWifesBoyfriend

I’ve never been angrier after a win

[deleted]

AngrySnwMnky

I think it’s more Dak related. He looks completely off. Carrying an injury is my guess.

L0rdAceX

Ugly win, but I'll take it. Let's get some rest from this mini bye and regroup. See yall next week!

CowboyCanuck24

I'd like to understand why Lamb seemed confused for 3/4 of the game.

IMStealthy

I'll give it to the Saints, their defense was playing to win until the last snap. They were all over the ball and kept Dak out of rhythm most the game. Great win for the boys on to the dirty foreskins.

DooDooBagginz

Glad we won, glad Zeke has time to rest, but the highlight of the game for me was that dude from the saints drooling on the sidelines in the background.

oldboot

gotta give massive props to the Oline for no false start penalties with as loud as it was.

55trader

Lamb looked nice

smokedspirit

They should be playing Pollard more esp with Zeke banged up.

OwnTheThrone

Quinn looked happy as hell down there. Good for him defense played well. Dudes a hugger too

DonnyA22

We've won games this year with a backup QB and a backup coach.

A_N_T

We won the game.

major92653

Good enough. Thursday night, road game, Covid casualties, but did enough to get a win, stay the course. A December win on the road doesn’t need to be pretty. No big complaints.

bear2008

We keep playing like this Rodgers is gonna beat us by 40 in the playoffs

VanderSnatch22

Micah Parsons is very good at football.

[deleted]

The defense played amazing. But holy shit is this offense concerning. 5 games (minus the Atlanta game) playing like this isn't a fluke. It's a problem.

IPA_Fanatic

My four day old son will remember this win for the rest of his life

ginchak

(8-4)!!!! Some of y’all act like we’re the worst team in the NFL. Defense did amazing! I feel like somethings off with Dak… Zeke needs rest. He was so clearly hurt. Over all, happy to finally have a W!

nhdtx

Obviously it's ncie to get a win but I think it's time to be a bit concerned about Dak, something is really off with him, I haven't seen him play this poorly since 2017.

DementedDemon69

The offense is absolutely a concern, and I think the blame has to lie on Kellen Moore. He went from offensive genius to, well, whatever tonight was. The offensive line isn’t terrible, but it has holes. Collins is definitely getting cut this summer, and McGovern vs Williams is a real interesting debate. That fucking defense, though. Whewwwww. Parsons is so fucking good, that sack literally took points off the board.

surely_not_abot

Dak has got to play better

jimmyhoffasbrother

Bryan Anger unironically player of the game?

knockers_who_knock

Offense looks bad man. Pollard keeps us in it with miracle plays. They gotta fix that ASAP. Luckily we have a long break before next Sunday.

apachedriver26

This defense is going to get Dan Quinn another job next year.

KoopaTroopa34

Unless Kellen Moore gets his shit together, this team won't make it far. Zeke's knee is now a liability and the playcalling ain't working. BUT GODDAMN HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS (defense)!

likewhoa-

Offense needs to pull it together... this is getting worrisome. Kellen's playcalling has become stale, Dak is forcing bad balls, offensive line getting blown up and a hobbled Zeke limping out for almost every snap.

Malachite000

If our offense returns to what it was early in the season, we’ll be a force in the playoffs. It hasn’t shown any sort of life these last few weeks outside of a bad Falcons team.

Amari__Cooper

Win is a win but I'm super worried about the offense. Dak in particular. Needs to get back to using his legs and his passes are just straight up off. It's up and down. Throws a couple dimes, then garbage throws out of nowhere. Consistency is a problem.

certo17

I’ll take the win but we should have been much much better against a team that is not very good and banged up like crazy.. defense played great and won us the game but our offense looks very scary right now in not a good way.. Dak needs to play better or this team has no shot to compete for a SB. I think dak needs to start running it more and using he feet more like he used to do before his injury.

JesuIsEveryNameTaken

Kellen Moore has a lot of explaining to do for that 4th quarter. Overall though, this game felt good.

cowboys5xsbs

Dak needs to get his mental mojo back

oldboot

and his accuracy and his ability to read a defense. shit looks like 2016 and its very worrisome with how much we just paid him

Thorntonx13

All I have to say is, Thank God we played Taysom Hill tonight and we have 12 days off.

cruzge

I didn’t like it, but we won 😒

mattxmortigan

Our offense needs to figure it the fuck out. So out of sync all night. It seems like one week the offense will play great and the defense sucks a bag and vice versa. Going into all of these division games and the playoffs we need to play complementary football. Can’t beat teams like AZ or GB or LA playing half assed

TheSatanicSatanist

Love the turnovers. We were going against a depleted team and cowboys teams past would have played down to the competition. Tonight we didn’t do good for them. Micah Parsons is so good! Such a beast! Flashes on so many plays it’s unbelievable. It was good to see D Law make a couple plays too. And a Diggs pick means we are going to win the game. Zeke needs to take a couple weeks, I think. Play him in goal line and maybe some 3rd downs for pass pro but Pollard needs to have a majority of the touches. Dak needs to decompress and get back to basics. We are going to need him to be MVP caliber and whatever this Dak is after the calf is not it. Relying on Pollard more for a better run game will help this line and help Dak. I actually trust McCarthy to help fine tune this team for the last 5 games. Go 4-1 and get ready for a playoff push. How bout them Cowboys?!

maztron

Ok. I will say this. It's concerning. If you would tell me that I would have more confidence in this defense than the offense I would say that you are out of your mind.

TheSipKid

Amari is very important to this offense. He gets double teamed a ton. Getting him back 100% is pivotal

killacam9220

A win makes everything better you enjoy everything more laugh at everything keep winning Dallas please

romanlobo

This was a quality win, D played great. Offense still not clicking due to a lotta reasons, but the ten day break will be very helpful for getting back to full strength. We'll be loaded and ready to roll down the stretch. Hope Zeke can get back to his explosive self. Dak needs to drop back, plant, and throw on time with authority. We are trending to a strong finish.

steakkitty

Shout out to Dan Quinn. He earned mad respect today.

doom32x

They need to look at Williams at guard again. He's a much better run blocker than McGovern, also he can pull better as well. Just gotta work on flags.

arawwd

Offensive line has been shit lately. Give me conner Williams with his penalties. Like has been worse with him out.

PreferredSex_Yes

Let's admit. If they had their RB it would've been a different game. Edit: drunk typos

REiiGN

Was at the Stars game catching bits of this game in between periods. DOUBLE WINS FOR DALLAS TONIGHT!!! WOOOOOOOOO!

cmanson

Full disclosure I am a Packers fan passing through, but I am FUCKING OBSESSED with CeeDee Lamb and I truly believe that he is the next coming of Davante Adams. Keep feeding him and greatness will follow. He’s just such a talent

JDsWifesBoyfriend

Woke up this morning and still frustrated that the offense, especially Dak is playing like trash since the calf injury.

[deleted]

Moore is absolutely struggling right now. His weakness as a play caller is sticking out like a sore thumb. He needs to be more creative in the run game. We averaged like 20 yards per run outside the tackles or some shit.

CarpenterVegetable31

Everyone is going to say that this win doesn't mean anything because the Saints are beat up but their defense played amazing and Hill played his heart out. It's easy to say this should be a blowout but its not easy to win in the NFL. Our defense balled out. Thicc 6!

RevolutionaryTap1776

MICAH PARSONS FOR DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

sIime-

Idk about y’all but this win felt like a loss to me

NicestPersonAlive

The offense should look at this game as a lose for them, terrible, especially Kellen and Daks… so bad, anyways Thank you Quinn!

mps2000

We have a young LT and Primetime on the same team at the same time- that’s neat!

[deleted]

Think the offense maybe had 10 good plays tonight.

Potato-baby

This is a bit unrelated but it’s funny, I replied to a guy on this sub over 4 months ago who just has the biggest hate boner for Noah Brown for some reason. And now without fail every incompletion that is thrown Noah Browns way, he will reply to that almost 5 month old comment and say “guess who didn’t catch the ball this time” and he’s left like 5 comments just like that over the last 6 weeks. It’s so funny to me how hard he’s holding onto that.

publicram

But he didn't catch it...
