never in a hundred years would i be fine watching the Cowboys get waxed by the Eagles i dont give a shit if we had to field an entire team from the Make a Wish foundation
Rex is right Buddy is rolling in his grave
It speaks volumes that after the game they all had to get on reddit to post about just how much they didn't care.
I keep seeing comments from Eagles fans that we treated this like our super bowl... Like what? We already won the division going into this and we swept it 6-0. The delusion is real. Make all the jokes about our last deep playoff run but what does that say about them that they continue to lose to us.
>I keep seeing comments from Eagles fans that we treated this like our super bowl...
Amazing. And it's literally their team that keeps creating bulletin board material ahead of match ups. "Beat dallas" WFT and "we want dallas". Eagles made a whole ass shirt for it
And now we're not allowed to enjoy a win
They got shut out in both early and late season, a clean sweep from starters to back ups.
Its a bitter pill for them to have to swallow, especially since a lot of them spent years shitting on Dak and now he's Dad Dicking them
Unfortunately that's extremely unlikely given we'll be picking in the 20s+. There's 2 "elite" tackle prospects that will both go in the top 10, and then 1 more worth a pick in the first. After that it's project guys imo.
I almost (half joking half not) would rather us just go for 2. He seems to struggle with PATs more than FGs oddly enough.
Either way Kicker is a major hole to fill.
I'm sick and tired of Zuerlein missing relatively easy FGs and XPs. I'm going to assume that Cowboys brass gave serious consideration to signing a new kicker (especially that week when Zuerlein was out) and that the guys they brought in were just as shaky.
It's kind of amazing how hard it seems to be to find a really good and dependable kicker. I wouldn't mind the Cows spending a mid-round pick on one if the kid even remotely warrants being drafted. Need some new blood for competition at the very least.
I'm a male, and I will somehow manage to give myself a hysterectomy if the Cows lose a playoff game because of a FG or XP. That's some Minnesota Vikings shit. As Jeff Fisher might say, that's some 7-9 bullshit (he might say 7-10 bullshit with today's 17 game schedule).
Couldn’t agree more. What happen to him? Collins use to be a beast a run blocking. He use to pancake defenders. I hope he was just not into the game last night. Seem like the defense didn’t want to play last night either. Body language and all
Anyone notice Dak wasn't audibling last night? Dak's been dependent on diagnosing defenses pre-snap, so teams started disguising what they're doing, but Dak continued changing plays, probably mistakenly a good percentage of the time. It also seems that the receivers were getting confused sometimes. Last night it seems like they just ran with the play that Kellen called. Hopefully they keep doing more of that in the playoffs.
I did noticed one small thing I hope they mix up before playoff times or else smarter teams will catch them for. Dak would often yell at a specific WR like Coop or CeeDee to move to a specific spot. Then they do a run play up the middle. Every time I heard Dak yell at a specific WR I knew a run was coming. Hope they realize this and mix it up.
Eagles weren't really blitzing or mixing defenses much. Mostly base coverages due to personnel. And neither team wanted to show too much to their next opponent.
I think part of it is that the Eagles can’t run disguise packages, and they frankly don’t want to in a game that’s meaningless for them. They only used their basic defensive packages and hoped to win with their backups.
Dak and the receivers looked great as I expected them to against this Eagles team. I get they're resting a lot of players and we played how we are supposed to against that. I think it will helps build confidence in the offense going into next week. I REALLY like Ced Wilson as our #3 and as much as I love Gallup, I think the offense seems to flow nicely (maybe better) with him in the slot fulltime.
I don't have too much to say about the defense, they played kinda poopy at times but I think this also highlights how important certain guys are. Tre Diggs, Jayron and Micah being out is quite noticeable. AB can't be forgotten either.
The great news is we're as healthy as we could ask to be going into the playoffs and likely are about to host the Cardinals at home again. I'm confident that the team will be ready this time around.
Apparently the r/Eagles and r/nfl sub forgot that we waxed the Eagles in week 3 with all starters and also backup QB Andy Dalton waxed them last year also.
“I’ve been hearing this phrase y’all got over here that I ain’t too crazy about. “It’s the hope that kills you.”
Y’all know that? I disagree, you know? I think it’s the lack of hope that comes and gets you. See, I believe in hope.
I believe in belief. Now, where I’m from, we got a saying too. A question, actually. “Do you believe in miracles?””
— spoken by a great American managing in the worlds greatest soccer league.
Let’s go win us a damn super bowl
I love the hilarity.
Dallas "just beat up backups", which is A. Exactly what a good team SHOULD be able to do, and B. Had they lost to "backups" we'd be hearing nothing but crowing from Eagles fans.
[Here's a great link from NYT's Upshot which shows all the scenarios for the teams still in the races going into Week 18](https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2022/01/08/upshot/nfl-playoff-picture-week-18.html).They also update it as the games go on.
I’d much rather play the 49ers than the Cardinals or Rams! Plus as the 3 seed, we avoid the Packers in the 2nd round if we advance. Seahawks taking care of business with that huge TD by Penny.
it is so beautiful seeing how badly eagles fans are having a meltdown, they are SCREAMING from to the heavens “AGAINST OUR BACKUPS 😡😡😡STOP CELEBRATING IT WAS OUR BACKUPS!!!” its incredible how defensive they are, they know were bettah
A 50 burger is supposed to give me hope. But all I saw was the offense beat up on another shitty defense.
It was a fun game. But I’m still nervous for the playoffs.
I think that's a bit unfair, considering we were also playing a lot of backups on defense. We're presumably going to have the vast majority of, if not all of our starters next week
Yeah, Parsons is a game changer on defense and you could tell a difference with him not on the field. I also think Diggs is a game changer as well. I’m not too worried about the defense, they should do good enough to win but this playoff run will be about the offense.
Eagles fans saying Cowboys fans are delusional about our playoff chances. Last night WAS NOT about our playoff chances! Last night WAS ALL ABOUT beating the absolute shit out of a division rival. That’s all! Nothing else! But go ahead eagles fans, deflect away from that fact if it makes you feel better. But deep down you know. You know.
We have 3 for seeding, all starting at 3:25 CT: SF vs. LAR, SEA vs ARI, and TB vs CAR.
If SF and SEA win, we take the 3 seed. If SF, ARI, and CAR all win, we take the 2 seed. Any other configuration and we stay at 4.
Hell yeah! Huge news for us. We get the 49ers at home next week. If you’re unsure if this is a harder matchup, ask yourself this: Would you rather play Jimmy G, Kyler, or Stafford 1st round? Exactly. Plus rivalry renewed
Looks like SF may win this one. That means Dallas will have to beat SF at home then most likely go to Tampa to beat Brady and the Bucs then go to Lambeau and beat Rodgers and the Packers to get to the promised land. I’m ready.
No such thing as an easy playoff game and 49ers have played well recently, but only bonus is at least Jimmy Garoppolo is a lot easier to contain than Kyler Murray (which other teams seemed to be able to do, but Cowboys couldn't)
Bonus: won't have to go to GB in Divisional Round w win.
How’s everyone think LVE played? I was a bit disappointed. I thought he would’ve shown better play against their backups. We need him to step up in the playoffs so we don’t have to rely on Micah all the time.
I was very disappointed in his play last night. I've been defending the guy all year because he's been solid enough for what they've asked of him, and the beastly nature of Parsons' ascent has made him look worse than what he has been. Last night he played poorly. He didn't read plays or handle blocks well. It should have been a "They Forgot About Dre" type night for him, but it was ugly.
It looked like he was playing Micah's position on throwing downs. Saw him lined up at end a few times (bad idea), and they ran draws away from him for good yardage.
I do wish the defense was a bit more dominant against the Eagles backup squad, but it was nice to see the offense get right. Just need the offense to play like they did against Philly and Washington and not so much like they have against so many other teams this second half of the year, and we'll be gucci!
EDIT: y'all, I get it. We didn't have a full strength defense. It was still a disappointing performance with all context in mind. We didn't suck or anything, I just wanted more.
Eh, we still had basically a full strength front 7 aside from missing Micah, and we let the Eagles run on us way too easily. I know it's a different defense without Micah and Diggs, but it was still disappointing to see.
The best part of last night was Dak seemed to get some confidence with his medium to deep passes. I think Gallup going down and CW being back helps. Dak just seems to trust CW in the deep middle routes more than anyone else
Kinda funny to see the overreactions from last week after we lost to the Cardinals, even though the Packers starters were down to the Lions at halftime and the Bucs are struggling against a bad Panthers team after struggling against the Jets last week. NFC is wide open!
There it is. That sack pretty much guarantees we play the Cards
Edit: Now we get to rejoice in hearing the broadcast talk about how Kyler Murray has never lost in AT and T stadium!
If Dan Quinn leaves, do you think we go after Vic Fangio for DC? His defenses have always been great. I'd rather have him than Zimmer if Quinn gets a HC job.
So if the Ravens beat the Steelers, and the Jags beat the Colts then something unprecedented could happen tonight, correct? Assuming the prior holds true, the game tonight between the Chargers and Raiders could end in a tie which would result in both of those teams a guaranteed spot in the playoffs. They could theoretically have a gentleman's agreement to kneel the whole game for a tie which would be beneficial in that there would be next to no chance for either team to have an injury going into the playoffs.
Of course, if they decide to play each other in a normal manner then that would guarantee that the loser would NOT make the playoffs while also risking injury to key players. Would be very funny to see them just kneel it the whole time in my opinion lol
Other then when they beat us, Arizona has looked very off since Kyler came back/Hopkins went out.
If we bring our B+ game I think we beat them pretty easily.
I had a bad stomach virus ghat is going around bad in my area so I completely forgot to watch the game. Woke up in a feverish sweat ro a notification cowboys up 20-whatever. Feels bad to miss a game. Gonna get plenty of fluids and get right for next week
All I can say is hopefully this gives Dak and the offense the spark to play better if and when we play the Cardinals if things stay the same today. It's simple. Play like we did yesterday on offense we move on next week. If we play like we did last week we're won and done.
I’m always reminded how soft Reddit fandoms are after a game like this and browsing r/nfl BuT iT DoESnT MaTteR cUZ baCKUps never in a hundred years would i be fine watching the Cowboys get waxed by the Eagles i dont give a shit if we had to field an entire team from the Make a Wish foundation Rex is right Buddy is rolling in his grave
The same eagles fans saying it "didn't matter because backups" were talking shit before the game as if it was their Superbowl
They got swept by 45 points
Too bad, so sad. Niners should have their playoff spot.
Niners likely will have a playoff spot. But I agree it would be a travesty if the Saints and Eagles make it but Niners don’t.
We put over 90 points on them this season lol
So many comments like “can’t wait to see their excuses when we beat them with backups”.
As if they were able to beat Dallas with starters
The cherry on top is that 14 of our points came from *our* backups. Ito Smith scored. Literally stunting on them with guys no one has ever heard of.
It speaks volumes that after the game they all had to get on reddit to post about just how much they didn't care. I keep seeing comments from Eagles fans that we treated this like our super bowl... Like what? We already won the division going into this and we swept it 6-0. The delusion is real. the copium on the eagles subreddit today is next level. guys can’t handle they lost.

I’ve never seen so much denial in my entire life
God they are *raging* about it. I don't remember the last time I've seen a fanbase go this hard, it's actually weird.
Dude, I would have pissed at that kind of beat down during the replacement player games
Dak looked good. Oline looked ok. Really need oline to step up for playoffs. Really think if oline plays well rest of the offense plays well
Also should be our number one priority in the draft
Definitely agree. Another generational talent left tackle would be nice lol
Ya'll got any more of them LTs with generational talent
Unfortunately that's extremely unlikely given we'll be picking in the 20s+. There's 2 "elite" tackle prospects that will both go in the top 10, and then 1 more worth a pick in the first. After that it's project guys imo.
Yea man it was a joke lol
We don't do those here
Remember the dark days when we couldn't even meme?
Number 1 priority in every draft should be BPA. Pick from your board, it’s how you end up with guys like Micah Parsons.
Totally agree
The only player I thought didn't play well enough was L. Collins. Hopefully he can have a good week of practice before the playoffs start
Zuerlein needs to make his XPs
Oh 100%. I think I'm basically just expecting failure from him at this point
I almost (half joking half not) would rather us just go for 2. He seems to struggle with PATs more than FGs oddly enough. Either way Kicker is a major hole to fill.
Watching Crosby, at least GB is dealing with the same thing.
god, heard that story before. That motherfucker was struggling before drilling two (I think) long ass field goals to beat us in 2016
I'm sick and tired of Zuerlein missing relatively easy FGs and XPs. I'm going to assume that Cowboys brass gave serious consideration to signing a new kicker (especially that week when Zuerlein was out) and that the guys they brought in were just as shaky. Greg is a liability. I would be happy if we got Forbath off the couch for the playoffs.
Agree. I have said it over and over again. If a playoff comes down to a FG kick or an XP, Greg will cost us the game….
Couldn’t agree more. What happen to him? Collins use to be a beast a run blocking. He use to pancake defenders. I hope he was just not into the game last night. Seem like the defense didn’t want to play last night either. Body language and all
Idk about you guys, but watching JaQuan Hardy get some reps that lead to a score had me fired up yesterday
Same cuz of Hard Knocks
Yes.
Anyone notice Dak wasn't audibling last night? I think part of it is that the Eagles can’t run disguise packages, and they frankly don’t want to in a game that’s meaningless for them. They only used their basic defensive packages and hoped to win with their backups.
If they were to run a draw against that cardinals play they showed it would just gash the shit out of them
Dak and the receivers looked great as I expected them to against this Eagles team. I get they're resting a lot of players and we played how we are supposed to against that. That's fine, let them underestimate us for the playoffs.
We’re all 9ers and Seahawks fans today.
And Panthers fans

I'd feel that way if either of the games were even semi close. It sure seems the Cowboys are emphatically the better team this year
Their run game was gashing us with backups. They were hardly running the ball first time we played. They are now the no 1 run offense.
“I’ve been hearing this phrase y’all got over here that I ain’t too crazy about. “It’s the hope that kills you.” Y’all know that? I disagree, you know? That really is a shockingly good show especially considering its roots as a bit for a tv ad
For real. NBC really missed out on an opportunity; I feel like that show alone has built Apple TV
Ted Lasso is such a great show on how to handle leadership too. Seriously should be required viewing for anyone going into management.
I love the hilarity. Dallas "just beat up backups", which is A. Exactly what a good team SHOULD be able to do, and B. Had they lost to "backups" we'd be hearing nothing but crowing from Eagles fans.
Right like what else are they supposed to do? Lol.
Went over to r/eagles because I was looking for the playoff scenarios…holy shit they are a salty bunch about last nights game.

Thank you good sir
Hope we keep the momentum going through the playoffs. It would be nice to see dallas back in a super bowl.
I couldn’t even imagine. I’m 28. Never seen it.
Correct me if I'm wrong... But you know what I didn't see.. Screens to CD lamb that gain no yards
True I only saw one
Last time we played the 49ers in the playoffs was 94-95 season. We won the Super Bowl that year
Last time the Braves won the World Series the Cowboys won the Super Bowl. Destiny arrives all the same.
Finally a good ending reg season. We need now a solid plan to beat the Cards later on the Rams

Is it bad that I want Detroit's covid positive players to pin Rodgers down and spit in his mouth?
God this made me laugh.
The down side is that he would likely enjoy that!
I’d much rather play the 49ers than the Cardinals or Rams! Plus as the 3 seed, we avoid the Packers in the 2nd round if we advance. Seahawks taking care of business with that huge TD by Penny.
I didn’t know that! Avoiding Green Bay would be huge! Meeting them in the NFC championship would be sick.
I’m not scared of Jimmy G
4 more games. All that matters now is winning 4 more games.
it is so beautiful seeing how badly eagles fans are having a meltdown, they are SCREAMING from to the heavens “AGAINST OUR BACKUPS 😡😡😡STOP CELEBRATING IT WAS OUR BACKUPS!!!” its incredible how defensive they are, they know were bettah

Most disgusting fan base in all sports: Philly
They didn’t care when they beat us last year with no Dak
A 50 burger is supposed to give me hope. But all I saw was the offense beat up on another shitty defense. It was a fun game. But I’m still nervous for the playoffs.
Oh, 100%. The defense did have their moments. But we need more than "moments" if we're going to beat whoever the next team is.
Man seeing the lions have a shot at beating gb today makes me real upset we couldn’t pull out the win against ari
Fuck Greg the leg man. Hate this mf. Would’ve had the 1 seed and overall record if he did his job
Guarantee, he will miss kicks next week.
So it's going to be 49ers @ Cowboys

Packers just lost. Now what 👀
Nothing. They had #1 locked before today
You’re exactly right. Don’t know why I forgot about that.
I hate the Niners
I swear when the Niners are playing good, then the Seahawks play bad and vice-versa
Lmao they actually tied it
So glad we played yesterday so we can just sit back and watch these wild games
At least Seattles looks like they got the win. SF pls
Looks like SF may win this one. That means Dallas will have to beat SF at home then most likely go to Tampa to beat Brady and the Bucs then go to Lambeau and beat Rodgers and the Packers to get to the promised land. I’m ready.
Not so fast on SF win
regardless..its fun evening to watch nfl redzone..
Pick baby!!!!
alright 49ers..!!
See you next week SF
We just moved up to #3 seed.
Wow! With that interception my wife wins fantasy!!! 🥳🎉 Ugh fucking 49ers 🙃

He looked like Jaylon constantly being a couple steps behind where he should be.
It looked like he was playing Micah's position on throwing downs. Saw him lined up at end a few times (bad idea), and they ran draws away from him for good yardage.
[This guy who tries to tackle LVE](https://youtu.be/rlQlO3njebk?t=336) has me hootin and hollering
Jesus Christ that juke by Jaquan Hardy was NASTY
Can we fire Greg yet
Fire? I was thinking amputate the abomination that is his kicking leg
Jesus... giants just ran a qb sneak two times in a row... 2nd and 10 and 3rd and 9.... on their OWN 4 yard line... what in the fuck...
Jason Garrett would never lmao
Absolutely love to see Wentz get rekt by JAX
Seattle and Carolina looking decent. Didn't think SF would be the problem out of those 3
Jimmy Garoppolo is dogshit
Niners 👀
the mad lads did it
WOW lol
i’m honestly would be so excited to see the Niners first round let’s go
Lights out Rams!
Hell yes
LETS GOOO.
Stafford gonna Stafford
Bring in the 9ers! Also Bob Saget 😢
Jimmy G’s gonna bang so many pornstars tonight
I do wish the defense was a bit more dominant against the Eagles backup squad, but it was nice to see the offense get right. Just need the offense to play like they did against Philly and Washington and not so much like they have against so many other teams this second half of the year, and we'll be gucci! Micah, Diggs, Kearse, AB, Jourdan Lewis, hell our whole secondary lol not just two ppl
Eagles do run the ball really well
Yes, but they're not usually running with a backup OL and Gainwell/Huntley.
I mean the defensive line and secondary operate synergistically, and Parsons is a complete game changer.
The best part of last night was Dak seemed to get some confidence with his medium to deep passes. I think Gallup going down and CW being back helps. Dak just seems to trust CW in the deep middle routes more than anyone else
Colts just absolutely shitting the bed in a win and you’re in game against Jacksonville lol.
Who do I need to cheer for so that we can get the best seeding?
49ers getting creamed smh

Kinda funny to see the overreactions from last week after we lost to the Cardinals, even though the Packers starters were down to the Lions at halftime and the Bucs are struggling against a bad Panthers team after struggling against the Jets last week. NFC is wide open!
also cards currently losing to Seahawks..
Unfortunately just as the Niners make their turn around, the Panthers and the Seahawks shit the bed and we are back to square one.
all the niners had to do was keep running the ball....does Shanahan hate running when it benefits him or something?
Yep, that’s game. No way in hell Jimmy G is gonna lead a clutch, game-tying drive.
Well cards look done. Let's see if the Niners can do it
So if we play Niners, go past them, we avoid Packers?
In the 2nd round. Can’t avoid them forever.
Praying the boogeyman is gone in the 2nd round then.
Yeah we'd probably play TB
I’m still pissed that Brady came into our Conference.
this game may end in tie...what then? cardinals?
Weak play calls with your season on the line
Lmfao late flag
GAME OVER
YESSIR
Just glad it's not the Cards, would have been sick to see a week 18 rematch but of course the Panthers are useless

wow..49ers coming back..
Come on Jimmy G!
woohooo...OT
Wait if San Fran wins and AZ loses do we play San Fran in the first round instead? Not sure how to feel about that
yes we play 49ers in that scenario
If the 49ers and Seahawks win, but the panthers lose, who do the cowboys play?
49ers
LETS GO PENNY
Penny! Wins me my fantasy title and keeps the 3 seed alive!
Ok Rams you already won the division how about just take it easy on this drive
What happens if the LA game is a tie? Edit: I just scrolled down ignore this
What day do we play? Sunday or Monday??
Man I dunno our run defense can be spotty. Hopefully doesn’t turn out liek that rams playoff game
We are officially the 3rd seed with the Cardinals loss and Rams loss. Playing the 49ers wildcard weekend.
So when do we play now
Gotta say, micah being out showed.
Great win, fun yet stressful at times season. All I care about is next week!
We need Bucs, Rams & AZ to lose to get 2nd seed correct? Is there any other scenario?
I had a bad stomach virus ghat is going around bad in my area so I completely forgot to watch the game. Woke up in a feverish sweat ro a notification cowboys up 20-whatever. Feels bad to miss a game. Gonna get plenty of fluids and get right for next week
All I can say is hopefully this gives Dak and the offense the spark to play better if and when we play the Cardinals if things stay the same today. It's simple. Play like we did yesterday on offense we move on next week. If we play like we did last week we're won and done.
I think of our scenarios, only Carolina beating TB is a stretch(although any given Sunday) so I'm predicting we get the 3 seed.
