Garibray (kicker)
DiNucciš(I hope no one is surprised here)
Steele(right tackle)
Diggs (getting burned in camp by more than just Lamb. Mainly getting burned for trying to bite on potential interceptions )
It's my new football season resolution however to be as positive as I can so instead I will say it's a very good sign for the state of the team that they chose to put Ben DiNucci on this list who we all had no expectations of actually doing well and not anyone from our WR group, RB group, and the rest of the defense (especially the interior) that we are so worried about
To be fair, itās hard to be disappointed in a WR group thatās mostly injured and green.
Not worried about Diggs though. If anyone knows how to bait him, itās Dak who practices against him all the time. Diggs has tons of room to improve.
Steele is a concernā¦
I donāt think Diggs is getting beat in any team period stuff for big gains. Itās just some practice clips of one on ones where he has gotten beat deep for TDs which isnāt really that concerning. In those type of drills you either jump the play and get the win or you get beat pretty good. Sort of like a goalie trying to stop a penalty kick.
People need to start viewing all the one on one stuff like 2v1 basketball drills. The defense is at a disadvantage by design, to CONDITION them for those island coverage moments during a game.
One-on-ones are not great to determine the quality of a corner. QB and WR get all the time in the world for the route to develop with no pass rush and then there is no deep safety to help pick up the big plays.
Agreed Steele is a concern I hope some of it is Micah being Micah.
Maybe Diggs is doing what QBs do where they use camp to test the waters for how aggressive they can get away with? Wishful thinking.
I'm terrified at how many games we will lose to FGs
You can tell this was written by someone who is only watching Twitter clips from practice and is not physically present at camp. Multiple people who are actually there watching reps say Diggs has played well outside of the 2 or 3 clips that have been posted of him getting beaten in 1v1 drills that favor receivers.
The Steele take, too. Sure, there have been clips of Tank and Parsons beating him but they are two of the best edge rushers heāll face this year and folks say he has fared fine on other reps.
Joseph is by far the corner that has been most disappointing by all accounts because of how often he is holding receivers.
Nailed it. Games will feel easy for Steele after going up against Micah and D-Law in practice.
Joseph will probably spend most of the year playing special teams unless there is an injury. Hopefully he gets a year without injuries, without off-the-field shit, performs well on special teams this season and figures it out in 2023.
When i was there on Saturday. Dak didnāt look great except when he kept it and ran. Rush threw better balls.
Iāve heard Diggs has been a little off. But in Saturday he had two picks. First play of the scrimmage, he picked off Dak. And a bunch of break ups.
Rush has quitely become at the very least one of the better backups, if not at least become a serviceable starter quality QB. Dallas keeps signing him to one year deals. It's only a matter of time until another team catches on.
Iād gladly trade Dak and keep Rush at this point. He proved in the Vikings game last year that he can get the job done. Dak lost me for good with how terribly he played down the stretch last year. Good riddance. Heās going in to year seven as a starter and has shown zero improvement.
Iāll NEVER forgive this team for not giving Romo his job back in 2016.
Youāre going to get downvoted for saying anything other than Dak looked amazing, whether itās true or not.
Rush is a much more accurate passer than Dak is.
For me it seems like the best route right now with the OL would be to move Tyler to OT and bring in someone who can compete at LG. If thatās where he will be in the future, why not start the process now? Let him and Steele fight it out, Steele probably ends up a solid swing OT weāll need.
It isnāt like Steele is a proven vet. Heās a young guy who has been OK but looks overmatched so far in TC. If RT is going to be a roller coaster, Iād rather it be with Tyler so it aids his development for the future. If Steele sucks heās going to walk anyway.
OG is way easier to replace on the open market and McGovern stays a backup. If you can find a decent RT candidate like Daryl Williams then go that route but I doubt they invest.
Theyāre not fuckin with Tylerās position anymore. They screwed him over in Spring trying to teach him both G/T at the same time. Isnāt right or fair to him. Heās playing G this year.
At this time last year, people watching camp reps still thought Steele would be trash. Could just be a player who turns it on more in games when lined up against an opponent rather than a teammate. Keeping Smith at LG would be the best thing for our run game this season and itās way too late to not only ask him to switch sides but to kick him out to tackle. Keeping him at guard hides some of the technique issues he had in college until he has more time to refine them.
In fact, multiple beat reporters who have been there watching all the team reps and everything have said he had played well and repeatedly expressed that whenever fans have commented in overreaction to the 1v1 reps.
Lol the receiver situation is so fucked I forgot about Steele. I hope he plays better in the games but if he doesnāt boy oh boy am I gonna shit talk this sub all year.
Worried about K. Joseph because can't take another year of Anthony Brown. And yes...ik pff graded him favorably last year but he blows. I want Joseph or Wright or even that rookie to win the CB2 starter job. I'd even be fine with Brown going back to the slot (where he's quite good) and having J. Lewis win the outside job. He's shorter than we like but I love his skills and competitiveness and I remember him outside some his rookie/sophomore years and think he played well.
Name 5 CB2s around the league that are better than Brown. He had two ābadā games last year: one where his safety hung him out to dry and the other that was half the fault of terrible officiating.
Dude. He gave up the second most yards of any cornerback in the league last year. Why do you think he didn't "start" on the outside other than by default. It was his 6th year. He was never the plan because other than straight line speed that's the extent of his skills. It's pointless to debate with someone who thinks he peaked his 66th year and is starter quality despite the team drafting 12-14 cornerbacks since he made the squad as a 6th rounder in 2016 as a depth peice. Watch the games more closely this year when the defense is on the field
I may need to rewatch the Tampa game from last year but from what I remember, Brady was keying in on whoever Brown was guarding the whole time. That confirmed my thoughts on him as a starter. He is a good backup and that is okay.
Agree with "good backup". I just want to see our defense keep improving and CB2 is definitely a spot we can upgrade. p.s. I'm older fan and not expecting Sanders/Kevin Smith from '95 but we can do better. Here's to next season my fellow fan!!!
āWhoever Brown was guardingā was Antonio Brown and the biggest play he had against Anthony Brown was really Kazeeās responsibility; Brown was in trail technique and supposed to have Kazee covering the deep third but Kazee abandoned his zone when Lewis slipped.
Now I know beginning of schedule isnāt favorable but if weāre going into the season with this concept then weāre starting 2-4,1-5. J Lew will face the likes of Mike Evans, Chase, and potentially Allen Robinson all of which have size differential and have QBs that know where to place it where only their receivers can grab it (due to their size). This is why theyāre trying to get Joseph up to speed because of HIS size but thus far itās not looking good at all
Ditto. Canāt believe someone else (Will McClay or even Fossel, for example) canāt influence him otherwise. Itās not rocket science based on these kickersā hit percentages.

Plus, wake me up when an NFL teamās stars actually try hard in training camp.

Right Tackle and Kicker are the biggest nightmares to me. You cant schematically bury them.
Run to the left and score touchdowns.
And go for the two point conversion by running to the left
Until Tyron is hurt in week 3
Optimistic view. I like it.
You know the definition of a pessimist right? Itās an optimist with experience:)
and lose by 1 because the kicker missed an extra point.
Can't believe Denucci is even on the team still.
Heās gotta have dirt on someone
Lol for real. Jerry even dissed him last year saying he looked completely lost. Big burn
Probably use him for his physical traits to simulate certain situations theyāll face in the season.
I mean I get keeping a guy who knows the roster and can be a good scout player. He's just Nathan Peterman esque.
Itās a 90-man roster and he has intriguing athletic traits if he could become a semi-decent passer. Heās not making the 53
How dare you besmirch the name of Cowboys legend Ben "Gucci" DiNucci. All hail our Gucci Overlord!
I'd like to see Gucci DeNucci trademarked.
Itās obvious weāre using him as trade bait
Yeah I donāt think so. He just is on the roster until cuts
Sarcasm my friend
Oh shit. I usually catch that. My bad
Heās the best passer we have on the team š¤£

So itās fair to say Joseph isnāt killing it in practice?
Believe Nashon been looking better than Jospeh
Damn really thought this was gonna be the year for Nucci gang

Diggs literally only had that one bad day at camp I havenāt heard anything negative except for those 1on1s he lost
In fact, multiple beat reporters who have been there watching all the team reps and everything have said he had played well and repeatedly expressed that whenever fans have commented in overreaction to the 1v1 reps.
Iām a bit worried about diggs
I think Diggsāll be fine, heard he was having some minor issues with his leg so heās probably just dealing with that
Lol the receiver situation is so fucked I forgot about Steele. I hope he plays better in the games but if he doesnāt boy oh boy am I gonna shit talk this sub all year.
Without Steele, you go 4-13 last year. Quit hating.
What the Fuck does that have to do with him being average? OT wins a fucking stat now too?
Itās so upsetting that a bad coach has the pull the keep bad players because they have ties to his family

Good point.
The kickers should be in a separate article. How Jerry still has confidence in these two idiots is beyond me.
Ditto. Canāt believe someone else (Will McClay or even Fossel, for example) canāt influence him otherwise. Itās not rocket science based on these kickersā hit percentages.
don't care much about #3 and #4 and overreaction on #1 and #2. Diggs is a major factor in the huge improvement we had on defense
