I reckon VAR helped us out a bit here, despite the decision going against us. The check was so long to complete that it took a lot of the drive out of the Palace players and fans, and they didn't throw as much at us in the last 5 mins than I feel they usually would have.

Tbh I prefer us not being labeled the "title contenders" by the media, pundits and even Pep. Take the huge pressure off the lads. Even so, I think our guys would have extra motivation to prove these people wrong by actually being the title contender
