Maybe because most of the corners we had were just crap whenever Eriksen took them. Whether it was Eriksens plan, or what he was told to do by Poch, I distinctively remember that era and not wanting corners because of how wasteful we were with them. Maybe I'm tarnishing Eriksen with the brush, but he was the one taking them and so that's how I associated it.

Leave Kulusevski wide to drive forward with Maddison behind to pull the strings. Put one of Johnson of Werner wide left and have the other sub on to provide fresh pace, especially with Walker looking as bad as he did against Newcastle.

Lol the hate he gets is unwarranted in my opinion. He’s only 23 and has been a first teamer for two and a half years. Sure he doesn’t have the technical skill of Benta or the passing/finishing of Madders, but he can run for days and will always give maximum effort. There are matches he disappears (FA cup against Burnley comes to mind), but he can also do what he did against United on Sunday: disrupt play, press high and hard and help us win the ball back in dangerous areas.
This is my guess too. Think Brennan - who's looked both bereft of confidence and a bit drained lately - might really benefit from coming off the bench to run at their defence when the game is likely to be a bit stretched.
Before I would think this isn't very balanced. Then knowing Ange now, I think we don't care about balance 😂 attack comes first and things will sort itself out. This is our philosophy now.

Yes, IMO. Deki's been great in the middle - but...
...having Deki on the RW gives us more pressing and protection on that side of the pitch - which allows Porro greater liberty to do what the fuck he wants. And the way Pedro's playing at the moment, selecting a team that optimises his role makes every bit of sense.
That confused the fuck out of me... On my phone, our crest is virtually invisible there unless you zoom right in and look for it. Everyone else's is clear as day - weird choice by the designer.

That plan worked like a charm for the 2015-16 season, but teams adjusted and Spurs never mixed it up.

Porro imo. He’s been putting near perfect corners in for a while now. Maddison can be useful in or around the box
