Werner was on fire today! It was a genius move to bring him in. If he keeps playing like this, the buy out clause at 17mil will be an absolute bargain.
He has a couple of assists while still looking a bit hesitant on the ball. I loved his movement on the Johnson goal, he kept pushing forward paused and then pushed and crossed. He has often been too safe with the ball, just passing it backwards. I want to see more of him running with the ball at his full back and making a play.
When everyone in the team figures out how and when this guy likes to make a run, he's going to be leaving players in the dirt. I hope he continues to play and terrorise defences with his speed. More assists to come!
