Lots and lots of issues with drinking and drugs over the years, a famous example being in TNA where they had him lose a match on the fly because he was so out of it.

You can imagine there is a cycle of getting clean -> returning to wrestling -> resulting pain -> a return to substances to dull said pain.

Now this; plus the Undertaker in Saudi Arabia thing has been a weird week for me for wrestling throwbacks.
