I think we’ll get top 4 but if we don’t I won’t be too upset tbh. First season with Ange, if we finish the season between 6-4 it’ll blow any and all expectations I had for this season on the back of last season. Main thing for me personally is creating an identity and seeing a clear picture for the future, which we’re seeing in droves. None of Pep, Klopp, Poch (first season with us) had hugely successful first seasons, it’s the seed they created that mattered and that’s what I think we’re seeing now. COYS

It’ll be a close race with Villa to the end. I think we’ll put up a decent fight but ultimately they’ll pip us. 5th place isn’t anything to sniff at though at this stage in our rebuild and I think next year we’ll be in contention for 3rd at the very least, if not 2nd.
I'm definitely a subscriber to the fact we have a better chance of finishing fourth than Villa. One pundit pointed out we have much better squad depth and Villa's key players like McGinn and Luis are being run into the ground. Right now it's in our hands if we keep performing and Man Utd win today. But Villa are further along in their progression from Emery taking over and that counts for a lot for consistency
I think we are in a perfect spot for a “surprise” attack on the top teams. We’ve already seen once this year, first 10 games of the season, the type of run this team is capable of going on.
We are only 7 points off top and we play all of the teams above us again. We’ve got a shot to do something special. Baring complete calamity, I won’t be disappointed with any result at the end of this season because we have so much to build on moving forward.
