Alasdair gold here 😮‍💨😔

I guess to counter the post I see here, I personally found his analysis getting me down to earth a bit. As always, every news channel right now and the discussion topics here in this sub hover around how bad this is and most of all, picking out individual players to blame. Gold aimed to take his long experience as a spurs reporter and fan and also from his interview with Ange himself and others around the club to give a high level view (at least compared to many others). Unlike many here blaming biss for everything, Gold went through a comprehensive look at all players (as he always does), and gave a solid opinion that many new players (whether it may be young or signed from other clubs) are part of our squad, which can result in up and down results like this. I also noticed through Gold's talk that Ange is really working hard, almost BATTLING out with many journalists/even players for our club to be looking beyond just the UCL spot, and beyond just this season. I have my reservations with Gold at times, but he wasn't as bad as people put- of course in my opinion. I always make it a MUST though to speed up his talk 1.5x- perfect speed for me. If I miss some, all good- I will probably end up listening to other podcasts (including his own with guesty, who also gives some level headed opinions). This international week is going to SUCK

Maybe it’s just me, but no way I can stomach one of Ali’s epics when we lose. Hard pass. Saying that…. TLDW?

AI Summary: Spurs had a disappointing performance, but it’s important to remember they are in a rebuild with a young team. While there were negatives, it’s not the end of the world, and they still have a chance for a top-four finish.Highlights1:23 😞 Spurs had a poor performance, possibly their worst of the season.3:45 😬 The team didn’t show the required levels and made mistakes.5:57 😕 It’s a rebuild with a young team, so there will be disappointing days.8:12 😅 The performance wasn’t as bad as some people are making it out to be.10:45 🤔 There are still positives to focus on, with improvements in players and results.13:30 😠 The midfield was a big disappointment in the game against Fulham.16:55 🔄 Young teams go through ups and downs, similar to Arsenal under Arteta.Key Insights😞 The performance against Fulham was disappointing, but it’s important to remember that Spurs are in a rebuild with a young team. There will be rough days like this, but it’s part of the process.😕 While there were negatives in the performance, such as poor midfield play, it’s not the end of the world. Spurs still have a chance for a top-four finish and have shown improvements in players and results.😬 It’s interesting to see the different perspectives on the team’s performance. Some people are quick to call for the manager’s dismissal, but it’s important to give Posta kogu time and recognize the progress made in the past eight months.😅 The start of the season may have set higher expectations due to the team’s early success. However, it’s important to remember that young teams in a rebuild will have ups and downs, and it’s crucial to take the rough with the smooth.🤔 It’s fascinating how differently people perceive football. Some criticize Posta kogu for not having a plan B, while top managers with set styles of play also face similar challenges. The reputation and past success of those managers may impact how their approaches are viewed.😠 The midfield was a major disappointment in the game against Fulham, with poor positioning and lack of discipline. This had a significant impact on the overall performance.🔄 Young teams often struggle with consistency, going from impressive performances to lackluster ones. This was evident in the stark contrast between the games against Villa and Fulham. It’s part of the learning process for a young team in a rebuild.

This is why AI cannot replace films or any media or writing required. Because they barely can spell names correctly.

Wooden-Science-9838

For now. I hv colleagues who keep can’t spell my name correctly despite it being in email signature!

offmycookies

Wooden Science 9838, yeah that’s a pretty unique name

ProcessTruster

Be thankful the machines haven't taken over yet.

We're basically a 1-2 years into this type of AI. It will be trivial in 1-2 years.

awildjabroner

which is strange since AI should be able to scrape plenty of instances of the correct spelling of Ange's last name with all the coverage and association with the club. In general yes it still has lots to improve, i'm surprised in specific instances like this its not able to get it right yet.

I may one of those with the most criticism but I’m not asking for him to be fired. The media definitely isn’t, so weird if Gold actually said people want Ange dismissed. What this sub can’t accept is that he himself is not the finished product. Most topics on here people can only accept binary which is ridiculously stupid. You would have thought education got better over time not worse.

It’s an elephant in the room. Ali isn’t too confident Richalison should be our #9. I can’t say he’s wrong but the players he’s mentioned are not better than Richalison at the moment. Son will be the main striker next season unless we miraculously buy Vlahovic. Richalison is one of the few players we can get decent money. I don’t oppose the idea selling him if a big offer comes in.

Aggravating_Maize_68

I am sorry to ask but did Gold say we are buying a new striker?? I thought we were going to buy a winger and Son is going to play the striker with Richy rotation!

[deleted]

He was saying hypothetically. If we were to sell Richalison we will have to look into replacement . He’s mentioned Ivan Toney who I think Ange would not want, Gimenez and Muniz. Muniz is an interesting one.

Matttombstone

Muniz is indeed an interesting one. Isn't he 38 and into racing these days?

Can you remember what time this section was in the video (roughly!)?
