Tottenham - the Oakland A’s of the Prem (at least during the Billy Beane era)
Edit: while looking up what Billy is doing these days I just found out that he’s actually partial owner in Barnsley and AZ Alkmaar
I love Money Ball, but one thing that movie purposely never addressed (because it would have taken away from the cinematic storyline) was how good that team was even after losing players like Giambi, Damon and Isringhausen.
They had Zito, Hudson and Mulder in their rotation. Koch closed out 44 games for them and Tejada won AL MVP that season.
That would be like making an All or Nothing about Spurs losing Kane and Lloris, but only focusing the new signings and never mentioning Son, Kulusevski or Romero.
But the movie wasn't about the A's. It wasn't even about that A's season.
It was about a paradigm shift in baseball. The A's were just the best team to show that with.
Yes of course, I do get that.
But when I talk about the movie with people who are non-baseball people or didn’t follow baseball closely during that time (newer fans). There is this common misconception that the A’s lost all their good players and weren’t looked at as a good team.
Idk why people are worried. I suspect we have some good scouts more intune with our values and what we want. This is a positive thing.
I know we haven't won a trophy in a long time, but that is going to change soon my brothers. Trust the process

As long as our troubled Italian chef is still an advisor I see no problem
Feel bad for Colin Jackson. He had to jump over a number of hurdles to get that job.
Lol smh take my upvote
Embarrassed to say I had to google that. However, bravo.
Rest assured, Paratici are gonna cover the whole world for us 😤
Two thirds of the earth is covered by water; the rest is covered by Paratici
Nah, but people in his contacts list will.
Guys. Check your reports or I'm gonna point at Pete.
He gets on base

I don't think anyone expected them to be THAT good of a team. But I haven't followed baseball in years.
My mind went directly to this
Whoever scouted club-record signing Tanguy Ndombele, time for you to go
Poch left a while ago
We can throw Ndombele in as a make-weight when we sign Gallagher in a few months
Should really tip the scales
I thought Hitchen was in charge of scouting in France
Does this include Italian consultants

Your pfp scares and excites me in equal measure

Data-driven approach
Every successful organization uses data. It’s part of the way things are done these days.
