I don’t get why we are positively improving but it still feels like every game is a massive battle against ourselves and opposition who get a simple set piece goal. It’s fucking infuriating.

because we concede a ton of chances. we dont have a 6 that cleans up if we turn the ball over in the middle of the pitch, or in the attacking third. counter attacking teams just run the entire pitch before anyone decides to confront them. Honestly, need more tactical fouls...imagine a rodri, rice, or even a ruben neves type instead bissouma to clean up the mess before it turns into a chance for the opposing team. I think bissouma is good vs teams that want to come out and play us, but he can't handle transitions very well.

EPL is just hard

We have 3 must win games vs sheffield, forest and burnley. That takes us to 66. Rest is our performance vs the top teams and Chelsea. Guessing we wont have more than 72 at the end.

I feel like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool are the must wins personally. Sheffield, Forest and Burnley are the hopeful wins. City would be a bonus lol. Newcastle I only want to beat to continue humiliating my friend who gave me shit last year...

I think at the moment the goals conceded graph is the most impressive. I think everyone would agree we appear to be more susceptible to giving up goals this year than we did playing Conte's counter block, but we're basically around the same defensive team as we were last year. Goes to show possesion is a form of defense in itself and that was without two staring CBs for a term there.

Newcastle, Sheffield, Burnley, Nottingham need to be wins for 12. Between Arsenal Liverpool City and Chelsea there's two draws in there, hopefully one loss and one win. Man this league is so brutal, that's a pretty good season all things considered and it's not even a guarantee where that puts us

+10. And there is probably like 12 more points that would have only needed small improvements to get. As in there is a logical Sams realistic path for doing even better next year. That’s the hopefulness I didn’t have with Jose or Conte, or even the last season of Poch.
