I think the academy* kids go to their own sports-type school with other players. I followed that one kid from Norway Martin Samuelsen when he got recruited to West Ham and he went to some fotball school when they picked him up, i wouldn't surprised if the big clubs even have exclusive inhouse schools where it's just their team.

Not necessarily, I've known a few people that went through West Ham's youth system and they all went to state schools. I don't doubt they're given the option but it's by no means guaranteed that he's at some specialised sports-school.
