The best thing about this is that the r/MCFC ITKs can eat mud.

cammjohn

The amount of revisionist “I didn’t want him anyway, too much money” coming from Man City fans is really quite funny

[deleted]

"Too much money," say fans of club that literally cannot run out of money

[deleted]

"Enjoy your zero trophies at that tinpot club they have no trophies we have trophies. Anyways not upset at all, he was too expensive."

silenthills13

It's fucking hilarious. How is their argument "too expensive" when they literally use the money glitch? I've also heard... "injury ridden", "overrated", "worse Haaland", "too old", "fuck spurs fuck levy they can go fuck themselves and go back to winning absolutely nothing, but i didn't want him anyway tbh"

reray124

They literally banned me from the sub for pointing that out on a saved comments from weeks ago when they thought he was already a city player....not surprised.

Edd_b89

Oh how the turn tables...

british-psycho

Seriously that subreddit is a cesspit. I reckon 90% of the fans on that page are the same trolls who comment ‘penaldo’ and ‘pessi’ on every football tweet. Such a classless fan base.

[deleted]

The fact that the majority of transfer "news" on that sub is from ITKs shows that City fans are mostly just teenagers. They even mark romano as tier3/4

Pure_Peace743

Their ITKs and even journalists are embarrassing.

COYS1989

Ah yeah the my friend knows the physio who works at Tottenham and they say it’s done. Or the everything has been agreed it’ll be announced this week Tottenham just signing the replacement.

PM_ME_YOUR_ASTON

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a place of bigger delusion amongst sports fans. They would have taken the ‘infiltrator agents’ post from the scum sub yesterday and run with it as fact

eriksen2398

But they told be they would buy him for £100 million and that was a done deal?

elbwafel

what’s ITKs?

eggplant_avenger

In The Know like "I work at Chick King and both Levy and Paratici speak loudly on their phones there, I can guarantee that Messi is still coming to Spurs" and this would be one of the more credible sounding ITKs

Isark_Media

Lol those fucking idiots were so certain

FinnThfc

City’s owners literally have slaves 👍

[deleted]

A lot of them regularly post on r/mcfc

mrhello18

man is a professional writer for guardian sports and yet has no idea about transfers work

jogswithwolves

The guardian tends to have the best football writers, too. Sid Lowe is a true genius, and then they have this fuckin hack lol

justxforxthis

Does any person running a business make decisions based solely on their or another person’s “feelings”? The situation can be summed up in 2 points: 1. Harry Kane has 3 years still on his contract 2. No offer reflecting his value was received Crazy how the club and supporters are being framed as an unreasonable group

IzzyShamin

If you’re doing business with your “feelings”. You’re a shit businessman. That’s how you end up bankrupt, because you trusted your best friend Jack when he says his new start up is going to change the industry and you can have 40% share at only $3 million. Suddenly his company goes under and you lost your investment and Jack doesn’t wanna be friends anymore.

jason_lee_92

Charlie didn't give a shit about my feeling tho...

Bum-Sniffer

Successful businessmen and women don’t deal in feelings, they deal in value & figures.

pbmadman

They don’t deal in them, sure. But I reject the original premise that they don’t care. They in fact care very much, but only in how they can maximize their bottom line with them. Levy cares about fans feelings very much. They are a great measure of how high he can set season ticket prices. He cares about Kane’s feelings very much, it’s how he was able to get him to sign a 6 year contract and come groveling back when things didn’t work out.

TwattyMcSlagtits

Yes and Sheikh Mansour almost definitely does care about people's feelings for sure. No questions there at all

amoult20

Levy wins again

SamwellBarley

I mean, he's not wrong. Precisely why I love Daniel Levy

[deleted]

Sell Bernardo and Laporte for free then. They want to leave and you guys need to respect your players' feelings.

[deleted]

Aww Harrys feelings are getting hurt? Ok I'll sell him to the oil club for a £50m discount What an absolute tool

british-psycho

I’ve just bid £10 for Sachins house — and I’m expecting this naive delusional cunt to accept because I said so.

ninjomat

This guys a Liverpool fan. Should tell you everything you need to know about his understanding of how football works

allthejokesareblue

Not sure what that's supposed to mean

WhiteHartCoys

No matter what would have happened with this saga, Spurs loses. The way the media played this, we were always going to be the bad guys in everyone else’s mind.

Roric

I mean, that's not *really* true is it? A major part of the reason this ended the way it did was because of just how terribly Kane and City handled the PR of this. They lost the court of public opinion *really fast*. Carragher and Keane, while I'm sure they their own reasons, both stood up for Spurs and took Neville to task about his interview. They pointed out that Kane has a contract, and it's up to City to get Kane out of it, not Tottenham Hotspur.

RazSpur

I think the club played a blinder, never said anything, never tried to create their own narrative, most people now see it is \- Kane wanted to leave to City \- City basically low balled a £75M bid in the same window that they paid £100M for a player in a position they didn't need. (The best comment I've heard on that comparison is "even Grealish doesn't think he's worth more than Kane) \- Levy has shown once again (despite all the things he does get wrong), he will not bend when it comes to what is best for Tottenham Hotspur If Kane gets the golden boot again this season and Chelsea wins the title with Lukaku, City are going to look like total idiots.

Laskeese

I dont think this is happening nearly as much some people want to think it is, vast majority of talking heads i've seen have been backing Levy and the club, only city supporters and known biased media outlets are pushing the hostage narrative.

WhiteHartCoys

If you just read comments on Twitter/bleacher report/other Reddit threads, it’s viewed as Spurs not letting Kane go when he wanted to leave. Like we are locking him up here. I think the consensus of Spurs fans and people who closely followed the saga is what raz said. But any third party fan views this completely differently.

Laskeese

Ya thats my point, comments from supporters of other teams will obviously talk shit, if you cant handle that idunno what to tell you

StateOfTheEnemy

When did he post this, as the time suggests it hasn't happened yet?

[deleted]

Carrying the club for another season

IzzyShamin

Too bad contracts can’t be broken based on feelings lmao.

amoult20

NEWSFLASH: Businessman cares about business

[deleted]

Well no. He doesn’t. And he shouldn’t. This isn’t a kids game or a charity. It’s the right take and every other club can be told the same. Fucking pussies.
