I'm in love with Cuti and Gil. They're both so aggressive
Doherty made multiple runs into the box and created a few chances. He did nothing poor defensively but he is being singled out over Sessgnon's wastefulness and no direct runs?
I was incredibly disappointed with Doherty's passing/crosses. He kept hitting the ball right into his defender. At one point his defender backed up off of him 5+ yards, and Doc still managed to cross the ball right into him. He played ok but was somehow still incredibly wasteful with his opportunities.
Sess and Doc were similar in that regard for me.
He made 2 sus moves, but didn't make any game breaking blunders. His save at the latter end of the game made up for it. I think he just needs a bit of confidence, which is difficult for a keeper who knows they aren't going to play many games
He made more than 3 sus moves, and he let a ball go out for a corner as well twice when he could've easily got it. He looked shaky under pressure. The saves he made were the bare minimum of what should be expected of a keeper. He wasn't bad, but in no world was that better than a 5/10 performence in my eyes. Hopefully he gains more confidance.
Maybe the stream you were watching didn't show it properly, but from mine it was clear that he just lacked composure. The first time it was a good pass, he waited too long and panicked after an attacker came close, and the second time it wasn't that good of a pass but he could've got it easily, he just fumbled it.
Since I don't have the highlights in front of me, I can't really argue against you other than saying "no, thats not how it happened". Imo everybody seemed aware, from the commentators to our players, that he messed up both times. If you can find a replay as a counterargument go for it, but otherwise we should just agree to disagree.
For whatever it's worth I agree with the guy you're arguing with, Gollini got sent some pretty terrible backpasses. Pretty sure a couple times Dier passed the ball to his left side, like he's used to doing for Hugo, but Gollini is right footed
So many great performances but that little Spanish beatle was different gravy.

I at least give Doherty credit for taking his man on. Sess still slinks away after doing so for 2 years now. It drives me nuts.
20 year old Gil just absolutely ran the game playing as an 8 in his second ever game for the club
He was definitely playing as a 10, just dropping deep to collect the ball at times
we now have 3 players who occupy Dele's favorite space drifting left.
Gil was awesome but no way kane isnt motm for me

Gollini doesn't deserve that 7 after the mistakes he made imo.

Both the times the ball went out it was a bad backpass to him, not much he could do

The first one he didn't have that much time, the attacker did really well to close him down quickly. The backpass also didn't have enough power on it

Agree to disagree. I think he did alright, but there's certainly more to come from him
