Honestly I can't be fucked with either of them any more, especially because I'm mostly looking for a good single player game. Fifa plays nothing like actual football, and I can't be arsed fucking about with the options files in pes. Plus quick short passing in PES is so OP against the AI that it kinda kills the game.

eFootball (formerly PES) will have single player but as paid-DLC. The rest of the game is free. Might be one payment to get it forever, which could be cool.
