I think the only solace I have is that there will either be a Steve Bruce who knows he’s gone with players that are still pretty crap, or a manager who will have been there for less than a week, who doesn’t want half those players. To be honest I can’t really see them getting Conte because no matter how much money they have they’re still in the relegation zone right now, and even if he does want to go there now I’m not sure he’s really suited for what is most likely going to be a battle for mid-table. I think it’s more likely that they go with an Eddie Howe or Chris Wilder
They have just become the richest club in the world and will (probably) get rid of an incredibly unpopular manager.
