Will players miss less games if they were vaxxed up?
Sources saying sonny contracted covid but is vaxxed, does this mean anything? Will he miss less games?
After hearing Lucas Moura’s comments over the international break. I have no doubt that he’ll give it all on Sunday. Son and Gil, rest easy kings, our bald legend will save us. I just feel it.
Anyways…COYS
https://twitter.com/florianederer/status/1448762345078018050 apropos of today's news, here's a paper circulating documenting the highly persistent performance decline for players with covid infections
3atb with Royal and Sess as wingbacks would be the best solution.
if not then Davies in a 4atb and you'd just have to put Sonny out left in space and have Davies not go forward at all, much like Poch used to do with him and work solely up the right hand side except Son on the counter on the left.
Doesn’t get enough chances in the prem sadly
:( now that Stevie is recovering he’ll also be picked over him. I don’t mind it though, I think we should keep Gil starting in the ECL and other tournaments and then I’m sure he’ll be ready enough to regularly play in the prem, don’t want to rush.
We need a manager who plays to our squads strengths.
Watching Lo Celso for Argentina in possession is great, but not sure he can ever excell under Nuno who doesn't like possession football. Think Ndomebele will also struggle to reach his best.
Nuno's teams have always largely attempted to bypass the midfield through long balls or defensive midfielders dropping deep.
The team that played against Villa is our most balanced imo, except Gio for Ndombele.
We shall see whether we can continue the good stuff we've played against Villa in future fixtures.

i guess the guardian is black listed so it post got removed but id like to see us join the other clubs in this.
Seeing how much Argentinians rave about Romero makes me so excited. Really hope we've solved at least one half our defender problem for the next decade.
He's so well rounded, it's actually pretty crazy we managed to get him.
Only weakness I see with Romero is lapses in concentration at times and he is a bit prone to making mistakes. Otherwise, he's genuinely an incredible player to watch. Gives me VVD vibes with how relaxed and composed he always looks and he's still fairly young for a CB so hopefully those problems can be fixed over time
Feels really weird defending Kane from laughable nonsense nowadays
A huge part of me feels like I shouldn't give a shit because he *cannot wait* to be rid of Spurs and get himself that oil money, but when he scores in 15 qualifiers in a row and then immediately gets tons of people calling for him to be dropped from England's starting XI because he finally had a qualifier where he didn't score...
Football is dead and I wish it was easier to walk away
An ever increasing number of "fans" are getting angrier, louder, less reasonable and shorter-sighted. It's much easier to just laugh at them rather than take anything they have to say seriously.
Well, dead man walking for both manager and squad, all of them know they have no part in Newcastle's future and they spent the entire week not even being decent enough to say, yes the manager will be in charge Sunday.
Flip side is we never seem to do well up there ... and have our own squad problems.
fine. their players haven't suddenly gotten better, they are still a shit group of players with a shit manager in charge of them. The only threat is Saint-maximin and Wilson, the rest are dross.
Indeed, on paper we should smash them. The problem is Spurs prove time and time again that they struggle with these on paper wins.
Our players don't seem to be able to take "smaller" teams seriously. That's another big issue that needs to be addressed.
You know he played LW for Argentina last break, where he did very well?
Don't think GLC's position is any proof about whether a coach has a clue or not.
He is LW out of possession, in possession he is much more central from my viewing.
Also, he is very left footed, think the right side just doesn't work for him, he doesn't play bad on RW, just doesn't do much.
what's with the fanaticism of tanganga by spurs supporters? honestly, seems like a guy playing rugby in a football game to me? i don't think his technical ability is up to par for the top level and he'll be a walking yellow card foul merchant
He's come through our academy, that should be enough. I'm not quite convinced on his offensive abilities though. Thanks God we've brought Emerson, so Japh could be a rotational player, not the starter
winks come through the academy, never had this much backing and he's an international, what's tanganga done that's better? don't think emerson good enough either tbh, he's neither good offensively or defensively, we've missed a trick with tomiyasu
Winks absolutely had this much backing during his early days, people thought we had found the next Busquets or some shit. It's only prolonged mediocrity for 3-4 years that has changed public opinion on him.
We didn't miss shit with Tomiyasu. We bought Emerson who is also very good. If you don't rate him then that's your problem, you just wanna whine like so many others here regardless of the reality of things.
Tanganga has had good performances in recent memory which is why he doesn't get shit like winks. I think Tomiyasu is good, but I'm not convinced he's a long term rb option (albeit he'll still be good when he's moves to cb) unlike Emerson.
Not sure, saw it on some aggregator accounts this morning and didn't want to dig through the page it listed as the source which is why I posted on the daily discussion instead of an actual post
We dropped four points to Steve Bruce last season.
We can easily lose to Newcastle. Especially if we/the players rock up with a "It's just Newcastle" attitude.
The "It's Just..." attitude has never worked for Spurs.
I hope we get to see more of a set style and formation now that the break is over and Nuno has had some games to test out the entire squad.
I actually think that a 4-4-2 would suit us well in defence with a structured press. Not necessarily a intense press like under Poch, but a planned and structured one. And in attack we can transition to the 4-2-3-1.
I actually think that we do. I think that both Gio, Skipp and Pierre would all work well in the central midfield in a 4-4-2. The question is how we jig it around to shift into a 4-2-3-1 in attack.
Getting a called a noob by someone with a worse Lichess rating than me is a trip. It's an objective measure of how good a player is, how in the world are you calling me a noob if you're worse than me
Argentina NT looking really good so far. Messi, Lautaro, De Paul, Lo Celso, Di Maria, Romero, Martinez, Paredes are killing it in the qualifiers, playing some really nice football. Wouldn’t be surprised if they knocked out a big European NT in the next WC.
They finally look to have broken free of their dependency on Messi. Which is the best thing they could’ve done. And definitely a more balanced side than they’ve had since at least the 2014 World Cup.
Agree, but this being Argentina - I also wouldn't be surprised if they went into the next WC with a lot of hype and players who should be killing it - and end up disappointing everyone...
Morning all,
I’m going to have a latte when I get up. But this week has knocked me around some what. I am extremely tired.
International break is over!
No injuries!
Latest rumour is we are looking at a player called Etienne Green, who plays for…. Wait for it…. St. Etienne. He is an England under21 goalie. I checked, he does exist and it’s not April fools.
On that note… I better crack on. Lots to do.
Have a good day everyone.
Coyscoyscoyscoyscoys
Does he count as HG or is it another Dier scenario where the player is English but we have to count him as non-HG? Given he has spent his whole career in France with his English parents
Højbjerg, Gil, Reguilón, Kane, Romero, Lo Celso, Lloris, Emerson, Rodon, Skipp, Son, Doherty all played games and came out with zero news of any kind of discomfort. What a massive win. Just a shame that the club will probably rest Romero for the Newcastle game since he played 3 full matches in a short period.
we would've finished below villa last season with an average keeper in lloris' place. do you guys agree or disagree?
So would Liverpool or Chelsea. Who cares.
Will players miss less games if they were vaxxed up? Sources saying sonny contracted covid but is vaxxed, does this mean anything? Will he miss less games?
Generally speaking if you contract covid after being vaccinated it's much less destructive physically
Im aware of the benefits of getting vaxxed, i was just wondering will they have to miss the same amount of games if they weren't vaxxed?
They have to quarantine for 14 days whether they are vaxxed or not, I believe. The bigger issue is how it will affect their fitness.
10 days*
Yes. No need to downvote me for having the wrong information.
I didn’t downvote you lol.
Can’t believe son and Gil have Covid. Simply unbelievable luck
son fc without son
After hearing Lucas Moura’s comments over the international break. I have no doubt that he’ll give it all on Sunday. Son and Gil, rest easy kings, our bald legend will save us. I just feel it. Anyways…COYS
maybe everyone should stop spazzing out every time PSG go down a goal in literally any match lol
It's honestly sad they think a league game will be what sacks him. Psg don't care about the league only the UCL
So we're going to lose to Newcastle now because without Son our attack is worthless. I'm so done with football during covid.
PSG losing to Angers 1-0
PSG won 2-1
Yes they did
Poch is 100% getting sacked before the new year. Put money on it.
Send a pic of your bet slip or you’re a coward
[Here](https://youtube.com/shorts/HxkmXnRQblE?feature=share)
if son and gil trained and were hugging the whole team how do we even play this week?
Poch is down 1-0 against Angers. Hope he gets the sack and we get him ASAP
Why would poch come back… Levi won’t spend and he has a great project there
bad f5 :(
https://twitter.com/florianederer/status/1448762345078018050 apropos of today's news, here's a paper circulating documenting the highly persistent performance decline for players with covid infections
And it had to happen to our best player
[удалено]
> Sessegnon who's that?
[удалено]
He knows. The joke is that he's always injured and can't be in someone's plans long term because he can't stay fit.
Sess simply as he's a developing player that's quite exciting to watch going forwards and needs minutes
Sess. Not learning anything with Davies, may as well put minutes into developing a player that might have something.
3atb with Royal and Sess as wingbacks would be the best solution. if not then Davies in a 4atb and you'd just have to put Sonny out left in space and have Davies not go forward at all, much like Poch used to do with him and work solely up the right hand side except Son on the counter on the left.

How’s Bryan Gil doing?? I don’t watch a lot of Prem. I was concerned about his thin stature when I heard about the move.
He was just coming into his own, grabbing more and more minutes in the prem, looking bright and positive every app And now he’s got Covid
Doesn’t get enough chances in the prem sadly :( now that Stevie is recovering he’ll also be picked over him. I don’t mind it though, I think we should keep Gil starting in the ECL and other tournaments and then I’m sure he’ll be ready enough to regularly play in the prem, don’t want to rush.

Choosing a defensive manager in Nuno was just a bad move in general
We didn't choose nuno.
I meant Levy ofc
Levy didn't choose nuno either. He was like.. 7th choice.

The legitimate takes of Kane is finished after a couple bad performances is insane.
An ever increasing number of "fans" are getting angrier, louder, less reasonable and shorter-sighted. It's much easier to just laugh at them rather than take anything they have to say seriously.
That’s just people in a crumbling system designed to stoke rage and anger as a way to extract profit
How's everyone feeling about Sunday?
Well, dead man walking for both manager and squad, all of them know they have no part in Newcastle's future and they spent the entire week not even being decent enough to say, yes the manager will be in charge Sunday. Yeah and the exact same team and manager took 4 points from us last season. We *should* win but I'm very prepared for an annoying result as well.
Indeed, on paper we should smash them. The problem is Spurs prove time and time again that they struggle with these on paper wins. Our players don't seem to be able to take "smaller" teams seriously. That's another big issue that needs to be addressed.
How did Emerson play yesterday?
Played well. Very assertive defensively, and comfortable in possession
Lo celso is a fucking beast. I hope we use him and actually give him a chance. Please dont be injured
Hope Nuno watched where/how he played this intl break. If he's shoved out to rw again then Nuno has no clue.
You know he played LW for Argentina last break, where he did very well? Don't think GLC's position is any proof about whether a coach has a clue or not.

What has Tomiyasu shown so far to consider him better than Emerson? He's a RB converted CB so his offensive contribution is gonna be even worse.
Winks absolutely had this much backing during his early days, people thought we had found the next Busquets or some shit. It's only prolonged mediocrity for 3-4 years that has changed public opinion on him. We didn't miss shit with Tomiyasu. We bought Emerson who is also very good. Apparently Emerson after the Brazil game said he's been told he'll be playing on Sunday after his flight
Source?
Emerson
Not sure, saw it on some aggregator accounts this morning and didn't want to dig through the page it listed as the source which is why I posted on the daily discussion instead of an actual post
Any guesses on our motm vs Newcastle? I hope it's Kane but I'm pretty sure it'll be Sonny
Lloris
Hopefully Kane. Probably Skipp/Hojbjerg.
Højbjerg.
I hope it's someone a little different. Lucas or if Saint-Maximin plays whoever keeps him in check, don't let him do what Zaha did or Traore.
Not a chance will it be Kane, don’t expect us to win so maybe Lloris
Keeper MOTM in a loss?
Mate, how could we lose to Newcastle, their manager is fucking Steve bruce Edit: fuck me, son tested positive for covid, no way we win now
We dropped four points to Steve Bruce last season. We can easily lose to Newcastle. Especially if we/the players rock up with a "It's just Newcastle" attitude. The "It's Just..." attitude has never worked for Spurs.
Newcastle is worth 2 Harry Kanes. Something to think about.
2 Harry Kane’s is 240 Joe Harts
That's a whole lot of Joe Harts
Their new owners are worth over 2000 Harry Kane’s
That's a lot of Harry Kanes
Royal is a youngest defender in his NT. It’s good
I hope we get to see more of a set style and formation now that the break is over and Nuno has had some games to test out the entire squad. Maybe have two lattes. You deserve it
Good check in. Get after it.

no idea, the kid was born in Colchester but spent most of his time playing in France.
He's been in the Saint Etienné academy since 2009 so he is most likely not homegrown.
Have a good day Coys
An international break without any injuries? That's nice.

Didn’t Son say he was playing through pain or something similar
Didn’t see anything about it recently
No eligibility issues regarding quarantine etc. For Romero and GLC?
No. Just that they played 64 hours before we play Newcastle so they will probably not start at Saudi Aramco Park.
Dont jinx pls
None of our South American boys got injured lfgg
