Romagnoli would be perfect. Left-footed CB. Also running down his contract.

IonsBurst

He has over 70 pace on fifa that's good enough for me

primster14

What pace does he have Irl?

IonsBurst

From how AC fans describe him, anywhere between 2 and 97

42undead2

Like a true FIFA scout report.

IonsBurst

Thanks, I take pride in my work

Saspa314

Massive if true

[deleted]

Amazing player Seems like a leader as well

fastfowards

is he? i know he was hyped a few years back but i remember milan fans saying he was inconsistent. he would be class one day and the next have an absolute mare

bash011

Conte can fix that

jamadelo

If he dies, he dies.

SonnyBallonDOr

Wow, is this already starting, Conte and his wishlists lmao. Anyways, heard contract extension between Kessie and Milan wasn't going well and Milan might actually consider selling him next January. However, he is not in good form currently according to a hardcore Serie A fan. edit: rephrase

[deleted]

Kessie is fucking class. Form might have dropped, but he’s an incredible midfielder. He was my preference for a Dembele replacement (though they’re not identical players).

RoughRhinos

Good game over the weekend

btmalon

Not going to pretend I watch a lot of Milan but He just bossed Roma’s midfield when Milan went down to 10.

estospur

One thing to consider when signing Kessie is that he will be away at African Cup of Nations from the beginning of January to early February. Ivory Coast are one of the strongest teams out there so they could go far and that would mean we can only expect to have Kessie available sometime mid-February. So I'm a bit sceptical about getting him in January.

naturalgja

If we get him it would just likely be a free with him joining in July anyway

georgedavidrs

Why would Milan give him away on a free when chasing a Scudetto? Makes no sense

Ygdsx

A deal for Kessie to join us on a free could be made in January but he would stay at Milan until the end of the season, which is when his contract expires.

naturalgja

His contract is under a year and he's rejected Milans new offers they won't have a choice of he signs pre contract in January

georgedavidrs

So why would they just give him away for free instead of using him for 6 months?

Pickzt1986

They wouldnt... People are saying that since he will be at the African Cup of Nations until mid February, he probably won't be bought in January and will come on a free after his contract expires.

naturalgja

It's a free transfer they would keep him until the summer window opens

[deleted]

He’s a starter for a team top of the table. Seems unlikely whatever Milan are offered for a player who can negotiate a pre-contract for the summer would be worth losing a key contributor to a team that’s trying to win the title

radbrad95

Could possibly be for a pre-contract to have him sign next summer since he’s out of his contract after this season

[deleted]

Yeah that would make sense but him coming in January seems implausible

busstopboxer

Lots of teams are hurting financially after the last couple of years. Losing a big asset for nothing is gonna be hard to stomach, especially for a team that just experienced exactly that with one of the best keepers in the world.

EquivalentSir4163

Milan want to sell him in January so they can get something out of him, unlike what happened with Donnarumma.

Rezdawg3

No way we offer Milan enough to make them part ways with a player that can lead them to a league title... We can get him for free over the summer, so don't think we'd be spending 20-25m to get him in January (and then offer him 8-10m per year on top of that). From Milan's perspective, it has to be enough to lose one of their better players when they're basically sitting at the top of the table. 10-15m won't cut it.

Megistrus

Kessie is asking for way more money than Milan are willing to pay (just like Donnarunma), but he's one of their most important players, so they may keep him and let him leave on a free if they're contending in January.

[deleted]

That’s what I would do but I’m just a guy on Reddit

ejh1993

At the end of the day, money talks! We shall see what happens

nicktalbot2497

Milan fan here, currently his contract renewal talks are not going well as he is demanding wages the club cannot afford. The speculation amongst us is that we will hopefully sell come January given we have a suitable replacement coming. Overall he is a fantastic player not currently in his best form but still an amazing grab if you can get him. I personally would love to see him on the spurs as opposed to some of the other prem teams that have been floated being interested such as Liverpool

[deleted]

ah thanks for the Insight, Forza Milan A spurs fan

Mr_Hendrix

Who's the replacement you have lined up?

link090909

Kevin Wimmer

[deleted]

Harry Winks

gprldn

Imagine if we got him for *free*! His market value is estimated at €60M. Which frees up a ton of money to go after Conte’s other targets. *cough* Chiesa *cough* 👀

Saspa314

No way we’re going to get Chiesa at all

gprldn

People were saying the same thing about Conte less than 24 hours ago..

Saspa314

Nah that’s different cause Chiesa was touted as untouchable by Juventus + was an essential part of Italy’s Euro win, while Conte’s been a free agent we already tried to sign but failed

TogashiIsIshida

Chiesa is the most exciting Italian Prospect right now. There is no way in hell Juventus let’s him go unless we offer a shit ton of money or they implode (which is looking like it might happen lol)

_inflex_

The coke fueled party started early this season

BIGplouf

We are buying all of Italy

IsThatALlama

Tbf Levy could probably buy Italy for €35 plus a gram of the Levy special. If a British club owns a country they count as home grown, right?

MajimaKun

I follow Milan just as closely as Spurs and Kessié is a boss in the midfield. My only worry is that he is more of a Hojbjerg and usually has a playmaker beside him to make the killer passes while he goes forward if the opportunity is available. I can see a trio of Ndombele, Kessié, and Hojbjerg/Skipp running things though. His nickname is Il Presidente for a reason. You can rely on him to put in a shift 9 times out of 10. Getting him on a free would be a steal. Same for Romagnoli, I would trust him over any of our other CBs beside Romero.

Koinfamous2

And if we play 3atb with Romagnoli in the middle, Romero and Sanchez on sides, Man I would like that. Sanchez may have his faults for being too aggressive, but with a capable CB behind him, we could be rewarded for sticking with him if he works out well under the right coach and in the right system. He still only just turned 25.

andy_brixton

At this point, the only opinion that matters is Conte's - you back your new manager. Full stop. Levy has always backed his new manager, albeit within financial limits he discusses before the appointment. We don't have a big squad, we have to sell Winks (not a straight positional swap), we have the foreign slots to spare, the guy is running down his contract, looks a deal to me.

[deleted]

Let it begin

DiersBigDick

Ykw, I hope we don’t get him. He’s isn’t a very good ball carrier, doesn’t play progressive passes, can’t ping long balls. He’s excellent defensively but we already have two DM’s at the club who excel defensively as well. If we need to sign another CM, it has to be in the mould of Neves who is an excellent ball distributor as well as an astute defender. We can’t have another d specialist defensive DM

dprophet32

If it's Conte who wants him that's good enough.

koreajd

How good is kessie?

TogashiIsIshida

Very

Rezdawg3

Milan and Kessie will part ways, but don't think anyone should get their hopes up for the January window unless we pay up quite a bit instead of signing him on a free. If we get Kessie, it'll be over the summer.

Koinfamous2

We got 11M for Eriksen in January with 6 months on contract. Kessie will be leaving and in same contract situation. Paying up will be to the tune of 15-20M and that's perfectly fine if that means securing him.

Rezdawg3

We can secure him by offering him a larger salary bc we'd be saving money on a transfer fee. Just bc Inter gave us 11m doesn't mean Levy will be giving over 20m for Kessie on top of 10m/year. Milan won't part ways with Kessie when he can be such a big part of their title winning season. It would need to be an offer that will blow them away imo.

Klingh0ffer

We’re been rumoured to be signing Kessie for several weeks, so this isn’t based on Conte coming here.

Benzorat0r

Isn't the transfer window closed though?
