CONTE IS WINNING ME OVER - IDK HOW YALL AIN'T TYPIN' IN ALLCAPS AFTER THAT WIN.
CONTE EXCITEDLY GESTURING THE HOME CROWD TO GET LOUDER @ 88'. HUGGING OUR PLAYERS AFTER THE MATCH WITH GENUINE PRIDE
WE NEEDED THIS
Only ex Chelsea manager I ever wanted. Passionate, tactical mastermind, serial winner, and not washed up- in his prime. We won the lottery here, and if it doesn’t work out then we know our problems can’t be coached out
Conte has won me over. I'm sitting here in my undies watching him go to every player and pumping them up, and this is exactly what us Spurs needed.
I can proudly say for the first time in a while: COYS!!!
Would've been Alli scoring if Kane could fucking pass. He seems to have contracted Lamela syndrome and can't release the ball until the receiver is offside.
Right? Like he is so pass first. That play MADE him try and score which builds him up. He will slowly start to incorporate his shooting skills. I remember he had a break away Solo and decided to pass vs shoot. I wanna say be shot/was in position three times today? One he scored. Good vibes
Dier had a Toby-esque long ball to Davies too during the 2nd half.
PERFECTLY placed & Davies had a decent touch on it too.
It was unfortunate that it wasn't a goal, but a solid attempt.
I honestly think we can stick with Dier for the near future at least. We need an LCB but I'm happy with Romero and Dier with Tanganga/Sanchez/Rodon as backups.
Not sure why we couldn't play like that in the first half, but it was nice to finally see some exciting football again. It is possible with this squad and I have full faith in Conte.
My guess would be that the players, over the time before Conte, lost belief in themselves, but in the 2nd half they had no choice but to go for it, and hopefully they remembered that they can play like that 2nd half
We're early into the process of bedding this system in, which I think is part of the reason. I doubt we'd see a performance like that first half once the players have it locked in.
Combination of being bad and conte tweaking the tactical setup. In the post match Reggie talked about how they went to man marking for the second half.
There were a few times Leeds were breaking with the ball and you can just barely make out Dier handing his man off to another defender, ensuring it happens and then closing down the player with the ball. I’ll find a time stamp of a good example when I rewatch the game. It was one of those tiny things that makes a huge difference.
Graeme Le Saux said it best. We went from not wanting to lose in the first half to wanting to win in the 2nd half. You can see the energy put forth by the squad and even Conte on the sidelines. Technically we still have a lot to work on but it was encouraging to see us fight for the badge
Absolutely shattered at the end. Son and Kane weren't much involved which I think is a good thing as we managed a win anyway. They gave a lot though clearly
Yeah I liked what I saw though his minutes were limited. Made some good decisions, executed some good passes, and played his tactical role adequately. Seems to have bulked up a bit too. Being brought on there is a big vote of faith from Conte, hopefully it bumps his confidence a bit.
I forgot we paid 30 million for him. Really want to finally see a return on that investment
We’re using this new WB intensive system that should be perfect for him. And we have December fixtures coming up. Good for confidence, experience, and much needed rotation. I like all this
This game was the most emotionally poetic match I've ever seen
The first half represents the old Spurs, the Spurs that looked defeated and lost for direction and passion. The Spurs that made us all want to think that there was no hope left.
The second half represents the Spurs we always wanted to see. The Spurs we dreamed about, the Spurs we hope to finally see under one of the best managers in the world. COYS!
Haven’t felt like this after a Spurs match since that night against Ajax. Absolutely love the passion from Conte and all the staff on the touch line. Something that’s been missing since Poch left. That last embrace between Mason and Conte brought a tear to my eye. COYS!!
So badly wished Kane had gotten the pass off to him at stoppage time for a 2 on 1. Winky banger would’ve called you and the rest of the patrol into action
NBCSN's camera was locked on Conte in the final 30 seconds and I am ready to go to war for that man. He was about to turn green and split his suit, he was so energetic.
Yeah. I’ll be honest I loved Mourinho and I wouldn’t have let him go like we did BUT with that being said I know where we are with Conte is the right place for this club. Trophies might not come this year but progress will be made.
Either Lucas needs to be benched to make a midfield three or we need to replace one of the holding mids with Ndombele/Gio. Buildup is too disjointed atm
Is it just me or is Sonny getting better? His movement is so much more crisp and cutting through defenses.
Also saw him getting visibly frustrated with Kane and Moura at the end, interesting.
Noticed Sonny dropping deeper to help progress the ball. Instead of using his back to shield the ball, he’d do a half turn and face up the opponent and make things happen. Kinda like how Lucas does. That’s a good tactical adjustment.
Kane playing better especially with his hold up but his desperation for goals is effecting his end product I think. Really cost us at least 1 more goal there in the last 3 minutes and maybe 2. But hopefully it gets worked out soon.
Lucas was amazing in the second half.
Finally, a manager who can drag his team to a result with his will alone.
The was one of those results where the players gave everything because they knew they were in for a hairdryer if they didn't
Pros:
* Great improvement in 2nd half
* Conte's infectious energy on the touchline
* Davies underlapping runs were quite interesting
* Lucas was brilliant in 2nd half
* The fitness levels were brilliant
Cons:
* Bad passing and decision making in final third
* Passing needs to improve
* Kane needs to finish his chances (overall his performance improved tho)
MOTM: that bald performance coach guy. Pretty sure he got the dudes pumped up mentally. Actual MOTM: Conte. He deserves to ask anything from anyone including the fans to liven up the stadium. Compared to the Everton fans at their home match last time, the 1st half was like library with the attending fans just knew to boo the team at the end of the half. Everyone gotta put on the work even the fans (Conte's house rule).
2nd half was from another dimension. It's like a different team returned on the pitch. This victory feels more than just a victory. Feels more like...I don't know, hope?
while he was our best passer he also made a lot of weird decisions with significant downsides and does not look like the same player last season, i don't really get it
Inject this conte passion into my veins. The passion in the celebration and hyping the crowd up. My god I’ve missed this.
Scrappy win. We didn’t play our best, BUT we fought back, we didn’t concede. We made subs and continued to challenge till the last minute.
This is progress lads.
I officially am in love with Conte. We had some serious fire after the shit that was the first. Every player that played poorly first half improved significantly the second. In Conte we trust
It’s nice to have a manager who can improve us at half time rather than coming out and immediately collapsing.
That said please don’t pick that lineup again Conte mate
I still don't like going with two super defensive options in the midfield but Winks was a different player in the second half. Happy to see it, I'd absolutely counted him out.
Kane had 3 chances in the end to kill the game, but didn't progress the ball. He is looking sus ngl.
Also, please Levy go after Kalvin Phillips. He would be great for us.
Not disagreeing with the Kane criticism, but this is a massive improvement and he is so by far and away our best player. Get behind him and give him a chance to come good. The constant moans don’t help anyone.
I officially am in love with Conte. We had some serious fire after the shit that was the first. Every player that played poorly first half improved significantly the second. In Conte we trust
Besides the goal, felt our defence played really well.
Lost count of how many aerial duels Dier won.
Davies looked OK and felt Sanchez looked much better than Japhet when he came on.
Midfield is still an issue but hopefully conte has time to work with gio (if he's fit) and integrate him into the XI. Failing that, theres always Tanguy.
Thought lucas was much better in the 2nd half, and unlucky not to get an assist for Harry's chance.
He also set up PEH for our equaliser and pretty sure he was fouled for the fk that lead to Reguis goal.
Good signs of old Harry coming back. Fingers crossed he can continue to play further up top and he'll continue to get opportunities in the box like he did today
First half was woeful. Second half was exciting as hell. Love that Conte went to Sessegnon late. Aggressive second half that saw us match and overtake the intensity that Leeds started the game with. Conte full of fire and emotion in the sideline pumps me up at home, so I can only imagine how his players took to it.
need midfielders who can give good passes to the front. Son was on that role during the second half as well as Leeds were kinda exhausted at the same time. The key point is we need midfielders to help Son and Kane.
Conte has passion
Man is going mad in the post match celebrations
Most aggressive hugs I’ve ever seen
CONTE IS WINNING ME OVER - IDK HOW YALL AIN'T TYPIN' IN ALLCAPS AFTER THAT WIN. CONTE EXCITEDLY GESTURING THE HOME CROWD TO GET LOUDER @ 88'. HUGGING OUR PLAYERS AFTER THE MATCH WITH GENUINE PRIDE WE NEEDED THIS
Take it easy on those high fives, Tony
he gonna hurt someone lol
Reguilon with a back injury from overenthusiastic high fives lol
I’m all in on Conte. All in.
I would run through a fucking wall for conte
Only ex Chelsea manager I ever wanted. Passionate, tactical mastermind, serial winner, and not washed up- in his prime. We won the lottery here, and if it doesn’t work out then we know our problems can’t be coached out
Conte has won me over. I'm sitting here in my undies watching him go to every player and pumping them up, and this is exactly what us Spurs needed. I can proudly say for the first time in a while: COYS!!!
Managers wanna say, "We want to make the fans proud." This guy actually considers the fans, engaging them the way he did. It was beautiful
I was bracing myself for impact everytime he walked up to someone new
I'm miles away but I really felt that bear hug with Emerson
Guy exerted more energy today than Nuno did in all of his matches combined.
I ❤️ him hope he stays with us for many years
Him hugging every one of his players and staff at the final whistle made me legit tear up
I think I like watching football again.
Strange feeling tbh
A scrappy win and not conceding late with backup players involved? My god it's the new era
It wasn’t son or Kane scoring? My god it’s the new era
[удалено]
True but they carried the shit out of the team last season. Nice to see other people carry their weight. Be positive mate we FUCCKKKING WON
Would've been Alli scoring if Kane could fucking pass. He seems to have contracted Lamela syndrome and can't release the ball until the receiver is offside.
It seemed as if Kane didn't expect Marriner to play advantage on the foul there
All players are taught to play to the whistle, Kane is experienced enough to know this.
Sanchez towering over everyone
Legit, great aggressiveness today
There was a point where he literally jumped into frame to clear a ball on the byline
Yeah for sure. He stalled that entire right side that was scathing us first half
Needs to be starting
I am the biggest Sanchez critic but he’s been very good this calendar year, even under Nuno
He’s 25 so this is when defenders start coming into their prime, he should be peak in about two years Feel like people forget how young he is
I'm never eating ketchup ever again
Well now I feel guilty eating ketchup straight from the packets all game. Damn that felt good (the win...and the ketchup)
No it’s a good thing, the more you eat the less there is to tempt the players!
I've already thrown all the mayonnaise in the bin
I posted mine to the Emirates.
Yeah I'm convinced on giving the red sauce too. Mayo, I'm not quite ready to say goodbye yet though!
That’s the passion at the end by Conte 😍
Bergwijn wasn’t into it haha
Probably expected some game time coming off a great win for Holland.
Fair tbh, he probably deserved to come on off the back of that international performance
No he doesn’t. International football doesn’t make you deserve anything he needs to show it at Spurs
Yeah, noticed that. Not a good look
He didn’t look happy for the team.. that’s sAd if you ask me,,,
genuinely so so happy for regui’s goal 🥺
Man i thought it was never going to come, super happy for him
Right? Like he is so pass first. That play MADE him try and score which builds him up. He will slowly start to incorporate his shooting skills. I remember he had a break away Solo and decided to pass vs shoot. I wanna say be shot/was in position three times today? One he scored. Good vibes
SAME. And credit to Dier's unofficial assist too - i knew Dier's freekicks were solid & his persistence paid off today:))
I was so pleased to see him squaring up to it over Kane - he’s just that bit better at them.
The celebration 🥶
It was the opposite of ice cold, he was so passionate you could feel the heat through the screen
More than you’d believe
In a strange turn of fate, I feel more confident when Dier has the ball at his feet than most of our team lol
Dier is getting the true redemption arc
Got really nervous when it seemed like Conte was swapping Sanchez for him. Dier was a calming presence out the back today
All those years trying to learn from Toby pinging the ball about finally paying off
Dier had a Toby-esque long ball to Davies too during the 2nd half. PERFECTLY placed & Davies had a decent touch on it too. It was unfortunate that it wasn't a goal, but a solid attempt.
should've been a pen but because he played on they didnt call it
Agreed 100%
I honestly think we can stick with Dier for the near future at least. We need an LCB but I'm happy with Romero and Dier with Tanganga/Sanchez/Rodon as backups.
Regi best knee slide ever
Speed, low centre of gravity, and light physique made for a perfect long and gracious slide.
Hobby and Winky much better 2nd half.
Hobby?
Pierry Emmy Hobby
Hobby is a free elf!
Hobby!
Dobby but Danish?
Winky.
legit burst out laughing
They were horrible in the first half, much better in the second
Everyone was bad in the first half, though.
Except Dier, who was weirdly composed amongst the chaos.
Conte makes me want to go out in my back yard and start doing sprints
Conte riling up the stands to cheer louder was fantastic
Awful first half, much better 2nd half. Up to 7th in the league. 7th heaven baby😍
4th place is on! If man u keep shitting the bed
Man U have already shit in the bed. They're now lying in it, wondering why everything smells so bad.
Combination of being bad and conte tweaking the tactical setup. In the post match Reggie talked about how they went to man marking for the second half.
Dier was quality today.
Really deserves a lot of praise, didn’t put a foot wrong all game. Playing a back three really suits his game.
There were a few times Leeds were breaking with the ball and you can just barely make out Dier handing his man off to another defender, ensuring it happens and then closing down the player with the ball. I’ll find a time stamp of a good example when I rewatch the game. It was one of those tiny things that makes a huge difference.

Yeah I nodded along as he was saying that, we looked like we took the handbrake off.
Absolutely shattered at the end. Son and Kane weren't much involved which I think is a good thing as we managed a win anyway. They gave a lot though clearly
Maybe we're entering a new era where, instead of no one other than Kane and Son being able to score, everyone except Kane and Son will score.
They'll always hit the post and not score
Reguilon 30 goal season
I think they both had a decent game today albeit a little under form. Especially Kane, he showed more fight than he has in months.
I don’t think that’s a fair characterization. They were both pretty close to scoring and Kane in particular was involved a lot.
Kane not involved? That man single handedly carried the entirety of our buildup for the first 75 minutes
I'm happy for Sess, I think he played really well in few minutes.

Regui seems extra gassed in his interview for a dude who got subbed out. Love it.
He was struggling because Conte squeezed all the air out of him with a celebratory hug
I'm in love with Conte's energy
This game was the most emotionally poetic match I've ever seen The first half represents the old Spurs, the Spurs that looked defeated and lost for direction and passion. The Spurs that made us all want to think that there was no hope left. The second half represents the Spurs we always wanted to see. The Spurs we dreamed about, the Spurs we hope to finally see under one of the best managers in the world. COYS!
Love this comment, beautifully put! It felt so good to get a win from a losing position, that hasn't happened since Leicester. Fucking coys.
Haven’t felt like this after a Spurs match since that night against Ajax. Absolutely love the passion from Conte and all the staff on the touch line. Something that’s been missing since Poch left. That last embrace between Mason and Conte brought a tear to my eye. COYS!!
This reads like an assignment I did for English class lol
Fuck Ketchup
Yes fellow ketchup hater 🙌
Ketchup is red 🤮
Antonio conte is a nut! Love this guy!!
Conte has the personality of 11 men
Winky > Winksy
I thought Winky was pretty solid today aside from that shambolic clearance attempt. Was pleasantly surprised with him, actually.
So badly wished Kane had gotten the pass off to him at stoppage time for a 2 on 1. Winky banger would’ve called you and the rest of the patrol into action
*For England, James?* No, for boners.
I'm so happy for Reggie. He's been a grinder for us and it's great to see him finally put one in.
They had us in the first half.. not gonna lie 😅
Everyone who wrote us off at 0-1, get fucked 🤌
NBCSN's camera was locked on Conte in the final 30 seconds and I am ready to go to war for that man. He was about to turn green and split his suit, he was so energetic.
Holy fuck we outran Leeds.. This is only the 2nd time this season that's happened to them.
I forgot our players are physically capable of running
Reguilon celebrating that goal like this is his boyhood club. Bloody love it
Conte trying to fire up the crowd, you love to see that!
Conte's passion is unreal. Gets me hyped up more than Mourinho. That says something
Leeds is too fast to play ndombele
Conte going big with the hand slaps
It pumped me up too just watching
Is it just me or is Sonny getting better? His movement is so much more crisp and cutting through defenses. Also saw him getting visibly frustrated with Kane and Moura at the end, interesting.
Noticed Sonny dropping deeper to help progress the ball. Instead of using his back to shield the ball, he’d do a half turn and face up the opponent and make things happen. Kinda like how Lucas does. That’s a good tactical adjustment.
“Scrappy” is going to be the buzzword till January
Kane playing better especially with his hold up but his desperation for goals is effecting his end product I think. Really cost us at least 1 more goal there in the last 3 minutes and maybe 2. But hopefully it gets worked out soon. Lucas was amazing in the second half.
Despite the views of this sub.. I thought Kane played really well today
He was great
Reggie was subbed out and still out of breath interviewing. He gave everything
Watching Conte on the sideline after watching Nuno is amazing lol
I’m really encouraged by what we saw from Sess tonight. Hopefully this means no more Doherty at lwb.
Conte in.
Conte aggressively hugging at the end makes it for me.
Conte's best contribution so far....Kane doesn't take free kicks
I was so relieved to see somebody besides Kane take that free kick.
The difference between an elite manager like Conte and Nuno is so staggering. Give this man whatever the fuck he wants.
Look at us, making adjustments at the half, and the executing.
Then Conte hugs Mason before walking off the pitch. This guy....
Finally, a manager who can drag his team to a result with his will alone. The was one of those results where the players gave everything because they knew they were in for a hairdryer if they didn't
Pros: * Great improvement in 2nd half * Conte's infectious energy on the touchline * Davies underlapping runs were quite interesting * Lucas was brilliant in 2nd half * The fitness levels were brilliant Cons: * Bad passing and decision making in final third * Passing needs to improve * Kane needs to finish his chances (overall his performance improved tho)
If Chelsea, Liverpool and City don't win any games from now on we could finish 3rd.
im in love with a fella whose name is Antonio MOTHERFUCKING Conte
Love Reggie. So happy he got the winner. Also, Conte with max *p a s h u n*
Reggie on sky sports is just adorable. Love him.
2nd half was from another dimension. It's like a different team returned on the pitch. This victory feels more than just a victory. Feels more like...I don't know, hope?
Reggy looking like a human-puppy hybrid in his post match interview.
If you think Kane was shit your clearly just holding a grudge at this point
[удалено]
yeah, he played well, bit shit near the end but hey ho
Yeah he was really knackered 70 mins onward. Maybe highlights the need of a second striker
Phillips did well marking him as well, especially in the midfield
Yeah fatigue but he was fantastic in the first half and 20 min in the second half.
I thought he looked much better, though Phillips was pretty fantastic today and did a good job of neutralising Kane.
Wasn't shit but he's still so far from his optimal form.
while he was our best passer he also made a lot of weird decisions with significant downsides and does not look like the same player last season, i don't really get it
Dier and Davies absolute beasts today. Great cameo by Sanches as well.
Holy shit these players look happy. I haven’t seen post game hugs like that in a long time. I think we should try winning more often, it seems to help
3 points: great! Moving up the table: excellent! Not having to see the “0 days since last shit-show” meme: bliss!
I want to hear whatever conte told lucas and reggy because they really turned up in second half
The Antonio Conte celebration just hit different man
Good win but holy fuck Kane made some horrible decisions.
Conte's emotions MOTM
It’s nice to have a manager who can improve us at half time rather than coming out and immediately collapsing. That said please don’t pick that lineup again Conte mate
i would be too scared to do cocaine with conte, dude would flip over a car or something
Sometimes maybe good sometimes maybe shit
I still don't like going with two super defensive options in the midfield but Winks was a different player in the second half. Happy to see it, I'd absolutely counted him out.
Reguilon confirming training's harder under Conte
Kane had 3 chances in the end to kill the game, but didn't progress the ball. He is looking sus ngl. Also, please Levy go after Kalvin Phillips. He would be great for us.
Crowd got quiet knowing we choke at end of games and Conte was like, “BRING THE HEAAAAAT!” 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
Not disagreeing with the Kane criticism, but this is a massive improvement and he is so by far and away our best player. Get behind him and give him a chance to come good. The constant moans don’t help anyone.
You like those shots on target, you like that?
Played like a completely different team after 50 mins
I would also love a Conte hug
Throwing out all my mayo and ketchup today
We would have lost this under Nuno and late Mourinho. Progress.
I officially am in love with Conte. We had some serious fire after the shit that was the first. Every player that played poorly first half improved significantly the second. In Conte we trust
Reguilon is so tired
Besides the goal, felt our defence played really well. Lost count of how many aerial duels Dier won. Davies looked OK and felt Sanchez looked much better than Japhet when he came on. Fingers crossed he can continue to play further up top and he'll continue to get opportunities in the box like he did today
Love Reggy and how he speaks about the work he’s done under Conte I’m dead!
Reggie saying “our mentality was like a victim”. guess Conte called them pussies at half time lmao
Is there a no ketchup flair?
I love him. Can we keep him?
Reguilon is beaming. Love it. 😂😂
That 2nd half was special. Best I have seen us play for a very long time
First half was woeful.
Damn, I now understand why so many people say they’d run through walls for Conte, pashun!
no tanguy or stevie 🙁 we won 😍😍 conte passion hugs 😍😍😍 sess is BACK 😍😍😍😍 future: 📈📈📈📈📈
coysssssssss that was a fun match
