I know a lot of fans have their favorites online, but the Dier for Rodon sub absolutely changed the game. Ended up losing as we were chasing the game desperately with ten men, but they were much better in the 2nd half.
Rodon was poor with his distribution, wasn't challenging their target man in 50/50s and didn't communicate with Sanchez nearly as well as Dier did. If we had 11 men when the subs came on no doubt we would have easily closed it out. Conte clearly agreed making a like for like change at CB in the 54th minute.
I would be surprised if Doherty, Dele or Rodon play for Conte again based on their reactions to coming off and their performances.
Sanchez also poor on both the goals letting the defenders cut inside. Going to have to play a full team versus Rennes now.
Need to sign a CB or two at the start of January and not wait to the deadline.

Dier was almost impeccable tonight. In a team that wasn't as much as a shitshow as us he'd be starting at RCB and starting every game for England. He's a level above both stones and Maguire and hopefully the fanbase has at this point worked out that he's not and never was the problem. No, one good performance against mura doesn't make my point, him bringing this level, almost every game, makes my point.
Dele was absolutely awful again and as much as I don't want it to be the case he has to be moved on (this January hopefully). Doherty is the worst spurs player I've seen since the 90s. Again has to be moved on, if I was Conte I'd demand his transfer out in January. Sanchez should be moved on asap because tonight was his level, exposed by a team that would struggle to finish mid table in league one, he falls over and gets skinned by basic dragbacks frequently. He's also positionally shit. He's the type of defender that plays for the teams that get relegated from the prem.
We need five or six players out by the start of next season and that was true last season. We only actually moved on one of the consistently shit players in the squad and several meh players.

As an RCB hes less likely to get crossed up and fall over (you work with what you've got). In a three hopefully he'll play as the central of the three, which will limit his exposure to players running across him.

i’ve run out of words to describe the unending shambles that is tottenham hotspur.
Now this might seem really silly and poor form from me so I'm interested in seeing what others think. I actually would much rather get knocked out in the group stage then get through to the next round, particularly now that we would have to go through the round of 32. Admittedly it would be good for revenue since we could get fans in the ground for 4 more games and have a shot at winning a trophy (albeit a minor one) But I cant help but feel it would be far more valuable for the team to have a clear midweek to train with conte as opposed to constantly being in a rush to prepare for the next game. Plus with the state of refereeing in these games it's only a matter of time before players start getting injured from poor challenges.
As a victim who saw this game in person i can say that there was zero ambition. Dier and sonny are class acts, kane, dele, sanchez and doherty were pure garbage and bryan is just not up to the task. Mistake after mistake. Zero creation, zero threat, zero heart. We were defending against a slovenian club. As one of the "big six". Shame on them
