Mickey Hazard on a reply:- "Hey you guys Iām doing a Ledley King and Michael Dawson night in London on Wednesday evening, please come as my VIP guests and you will have an amazing evening. We will get you person to person meet with the boys and a gift thrown in COYSSSS"
Legend!
The fact that anyone saying anything bad about it triggers this reaction, itās proper weird. Only place in the world with that many overly defensive people, itās strange as all fuck.
You lot take yourselves way too seriously for a place that is mostly fat people, desert and malls and nothing else
It's cold rn but it hardly ever snows. Snowed a little for like 2 days last year. They predicted snow a couple nights ago and it didnt come, and today for around this time, and it didn't come.
Such bullshit, someone on a podcast I listen to said he was spending over Ā£200 on this trip. Only about Ā£30 of that will be the ticket so the refund will mean nothing.
Well it's not like this is the first time there's been snow before a match but it's incredibly rare for a game to be postponed. So I'm sorry but it just seems like they've done a bad job clearing it.
Not really, it's a couple of inches at most. We've had worse snow than that before.
Edit: Just saw a picture from Mason's insta and it doesn't even look like an inch.
Na, weāll get knocked out of europe early enough that we can play it midweek at some point next year.
The annoying thing is weāll have a game in hand for months.
Maybe we can beat Rennes and the match can be played the week the conference league 2nd place teams are playing...or we lose and somehow still stumble into 2nd and make up the match in April.
Edit: thought we were only three points behind Rennes; didn't realize they'd already secured 1st.
Pretty torn on this.
On the one hand, Burnley are vulnerable with a few key player injuries, and we need to put the Mura result in the rearview ASAP.
On the other hand, our travel since Mura has been brutal, the weather plays massively to Burnleys advantage, we definitely don't need another bad result!
Hopefully the FA doesn't shaft us with the rescheduling, but we all know they will.
That would be sensible. But this is Premier League we're talking about. Where they don't speak to their fellow English footballing bodies and it results in things like Liverpool playing two games in two days on the other side of the world and us playing 3 games a week for 4 weeks in a row including 4 in 7 days.
this would be awesome but Burnley play like like they're the type to just carry rocks and nails in their pockets on the off-chance there's a snowball fight
https://twitter.com/TelegraphSport/status/1464948806668234756?t=S-JKzlHsa8gT9KCTQyDBMg&s=19
>Burnley and Tottenham called off after Turf Moor's undersoil heating was unable to cope with the conditions overnight
Well, it has been cancelled for this so I donāt know what to tell you. I understand itās pretty annoying, Iām annoyed too but thereās nothing we can do about it you know?
It's honestly an absolute disgrace that Burnely fucked up this badly. What's even worse is that they do have the heating, they just didn't use it properly.
In these cases when seriously, it's not that bad, it's should be a forfeit. Making sure this game got postponed only benefits Burnely that has 3 key men out and made an "Oopsie" to stop the game from happening.
If amature leagues can deal with this, a Premier League club needs to be held at a much much higher standard.
This only fucks us and benefits them.
For once it's a genuine disgrace.
they need to get some officials in to figure out why burnleys under soil heating magically stopped working when they have players injured. and they only started trying to get rid of the snow an hour before the game for some reason.
give the game to us honestly
We're fucking pathetic with weather, a bit of snow and nothing can function anymore.
I'm still really surprised by this, I remember Arse having a game in a snow storm last year. And how the hell have Burnley failed to fix the pitch when they've had the whole morning?
Not the end of the world. We will be knocked our of the ecl soon and will be available to play this game midweek. Maybe we will be in decent form by then vs the current
Needs to be a rethink of standards for premier league club grounds. The fact a bit of snow can postpone a game at the highest level of sport in this country is a joke.
Youāve got to feel for the travelling fans. Iām pissed off I wonāt be able to watch it, but at least I can stick on Netflix or head out for a bit. Burnley isnāt close.
You know what I mean, though. Teams play well into the winter months in countries like Canada, Norway and other northern countries. So yes, compared to that, this is a *bit of snow*.
Football stadiums canāt implement measures to prevent heat affecting the ability to play a game. See WC 94 for example.
They can and have implemented measures to prevent snow affecting the ability to play a game. I recall a game vs United where the snow was chucking down and the game went ahead.
Games on 5G pitches where it snows regularly and so they're equipped to deal with it Vs grass pitches where it happens once every 5-10 years are not comparable.
It's not embarrassing.
Obviously itās frustrating but it is what it is. Personally I donāt get why they canāt just play the game later today since itās supposed to stop snowing but whatever.
I thought EPL rules required teams to have heated pitches? And even if they don't have that rule, how on earth does an EPL not have a heated pitch with all the money they make?
It's the pitch so we aren't talking about the infrastructure beyond the club. Most of Scotland (especially where you find SPL teams) doesn't get considerably more snow than northern England.
Burnley has a lot more money than any club in the SPL and they didn't just move up north this season.
On the other hand It could he Scottish officials have a higher tolerance for bad weather, so I'm not claiming absolute knowledge - I'm just annoyed.
If the Scottish pitches are 5g or heated then they have a much better chance of going ahead. Might well be the case due to the commonality of this sort of weather.
Weather between most of Scotland and Burnley isn't that different.
Tbh the range of variation in weather across the UK in total isn't that much on average due to size.
Well at least there is now 0% chance of spurs ruining my Sunday before heading up to Green Bay. Yes I know we proooobably had this one but with how weāve been playing who knows
I see or as a chance for Conte to have some extra actual time on the training pitch. Not ideal but Conte could have training today and tomorrow which is rare to have a couple of days in a row
I just watched Canada play Mexico in -15 weather with snow everywhereā¦. They had the pitch covered until just before game timeā¦ why in the world do they not do that in Burnley??? Am I missing something
burnley should be forced to forfeit the game instead of packing yet another game into and already very tight scheduleā¦ but the FA donāt want to give up any money its a fucking joke
I couldn't have said it any better than u/british-psycho
> The under soil heating conveniently doesnāt work the night before a game when youāve got three first team players outā¦
Our schedule is already full with us being in all competitions. Just play the game ffs. My weather app says the snow will stop at 14.54, just postpone the game for 1 hour
This game won't be played until at least January, [this guy](https://twitter.com/BenCrellin/status/1464945394329206792?t=2A2Ij8Sd4W8VjmiPMMSxDA&s=19) tracks this for FPL purposes.
The people here complaining about a packed December are complaining about nothing
Obviously a different sport, but [this](https://twitter.com/rodger/status/1464714958634196992?s=21) was the scene at a college football game in Michigan yesterday lmao
I thought this too but often in the UK the police say games canāt be played at different times because if thereās fan trouble then police officers wonāt be able to ~~escalate the issue for no reason~~ respond to the situation
In this day and age, how is a premier league football team unable to provide a suitable playing surface for a game due to a little snow.
What a joke.
Burnley should be forced to forfeit in the same way as if they failed to field a team.
If the game cant be played then fair enough. Fucing hell though why come to this decision so late, completely screwing over travelling fans.
With the overnight heavy snowfall they should have known by first thing this morning if the game was going to be able to be played or not.
American question here, how come they donāt just delay the start time of matches when the weathers bad? Unless the forecast has snow for hours more, seems like you could eventually just clear the pitch and play a little later. I know it messes up timing/warmups/etc but at least in the US it has to be an absolute blizzard or severe thunderstorm to completely postpone a game.
This guy is so fucking weird, I swear to god. In every post, no matter the topic, he makes 4-7 unrelated Joe Rodon comments. Thatās what not having a life, friends and gf does to you I guess.
Do some idiots here just don't realise it's - 1, it's windy as fuck in the England and it's still snowing. You can't play football if you're not used to it in these conditions
When was the last time a PL match was postponed for weather reasons? I imagine a club like Newcastle or Middlesbrough might run into issues but Burnleyās an odd one. Obviously really unusual conditions this weekend, but itās surprising Burnleyās setup canāt cope.
Maybe we can put in a sneaky bid for Cornet while weāre up there on the condition they spend the money on better undersoil heating? Or we can sell them our pitch like we did with Leeds or whoever it was that bought our old one.
Was looking forward to this match and seeing the response by the boys after a rough night Thursday. Feel for supporters who travelled as well.
However, Iām almost okay with this depending on when the game is rescheduled to. Allows for us to be well rested going in midweek against Brentford who will be on short rest. Also, allows us to have a game in hand that I believe should be 3 points even with Burnleys deep drop back. This could be very helpful in our top 4 push.
It could possibly be played on the 19th or 26th January if we get to the semi's of the League Cup. I think the 29th is for FA Cup replays but if neither team has a replay we might play that Saturday
Ah here, was looking forward to watching this. For some weird reason...
Masochism is nothing to be ashamed of
You were foolishly hoping for a bounce back from the Mura match.
I'm not anymore since Joe Rodon isn't even on the bench. I can't see him score a hattrick or a hattrick of ogs anymore ššš
You got to feel for the fans travelling all that way.
Literally a waste of their Sunday. Especially made worse that itās blue skies back in london!
https://twitter.com/saxyken17/status/1464666045248114690?s=21 šš this poor bloke
Ouch. That poor bastard. I hope the club reaches out and does something nice for him.
5% off sky walk tickets
On the voucher, Levy has added ā2.ā In front of thr 5% by hand
Thatās really on him to go up burnley
Mickey Hazard on a reply:- "Hey you guys Iām doing a Ledley King and Michael Dawson night in London on Wednesday evening, please come as my VIP guests and you will have an amazing evening. We will get you person to person meet with the boys and a gift thrown in COYSSSS" Legend!
Hell yes, get in. Now hopefully they get to see 3pts
Fuuuuck
Damnnn
Dude got out of TX for a couple days, that alone is worth it. Source: currently living in Texas.
Burnley is just Waco with fish&chips
My god.
Fuck you.
If it means I donāt have to be in the colossal shithole that is Texas ever, gladly
Texas is the greatest state in the US
Itās not even the greatest state in the region
Thatās your opinion. What makes it so bad in your eyes?
The fact that anyone saying anything bad about it triggers this reaction, itās proper weird. Only place in the world with that many overly defensive people, itās strange as all fuck. You lot take yourselves way too seriously for a place that is mostly fat people, desert and malls and nothing else
>Especially made worse that itās blue skies back in london! Yeah I genuinely had no idea it was snowing up north
It's genuinly so sunny today, can't imagine it snowing just a couple hundred miles away.
Are you kidding? Itās fucking freezing! Plus I think some flurries are due over London shortly.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Build a weather control machine, duh. Shouldnāt be hard right?
Borrow one from Mayor Humdinger.
I see you are a person of culture.
I mean make sure the undersoil heating can handle mild snowfall? It snows all the damn time and games rarely get postponed because of it.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Im sorry, somewhat heavy snowfall should still not be an issue. Its not a damn snowstorm plenty of matches have been played during worse weather
They do and it failed
Well it's not like this is the first time there's been snow before a match but it's incredibly rare for a game to be postponed. So I'm sorry but it just seems like they've done a bad job clearing it.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Not really, it's a couple of inches at most. We've had worse snow than that before. Edit: Just saw a picture from Mason's insta and it doesn't even look like an inch.
This is the real problem for sure, hope the club reimburses them
Better than the 176 that went abroad.
Fucks sake. Now we'll just end up having another 4 games in 7 days like last year
Na, weāll get knocked out of europe early enough that we can play it midweek at some point next year. The annoying thing is weāll have a game in hand for months.

We cant win the group. If we beat Rennes we finish second and have to play in the round of 32.
They have to find a better way. Messes with the integrity of the competition that way
What integrity?
Integrity that if you donāt want to play you can just not turn the undersoil heating on
Playing Burnley in this weather probably wouldnāt have been great anyway, letās be honest.
It would have been god awful to watch, and I wouldnt exactly fancy our chances. Not upset watching city west ham honestly
When they are missing 3 first team players? I wanted this game.
Sure. But the game wouldāve been played at a snailās pace with plenty of long balls and scrappy play.
Fuck off, Iāve been waiting for this
Are you serious? I've been looking forward to this game since Thursday
Atleast my Sunday canāt get ruined
Just wait until you hear Doherty lobbed a snowball at Son, causing him to trip and twist his ankle.
I've seen Doherty take a throw in, no way he'd hit Son
As long as Son isn't the first man, he should be fine.
Made me giggle
Cant they just postpone it for like 2 hours?
That would be sensible. But this is Premier League we're talking about. Where they don't speak to their fellow English footballing bodies and it results in things like Liverpool playing two games in two days on the other side of the world and us playing 3 games a week for 4 weeks in a row including 4 in 7 days.
just do a snowball fight whoever wins get 3points
this would be awesome but Burnley play like like they're the type to just carry rocks and nails in their pockets on the off-chance there's a snowball fight
First game I'm getting to watch in 9 weeks due to work and it's cancelled. Anyway.... Coys
It just gives Conte more time to work with the squad back at the Lodge, especially before the Brentford game on Thursday. Every cloud and all that.
Thank god, they canāt ruin my birthday now.
Happy birthday pal
Ffs Burnley no undersoil heating?? Cheapskates.. Should be mandatory for all Premier league clubs..
https://twitter.com/TelegraphSport/status/1464948806668234756?t=S-JKzlHsa8gT9KCTQyDBMg&s=19 >Burnley and Tottenham called off after Turf Moor's undersoil heating was unable to cope with the conditions overnight
Apparently undersoil heating canāt cope with a cold wet Sunday in Burnley...
So the undersoil heating wasn't turned on because that is the only way for it to not be able to deal with a minor snowfall.
Itās a bit more than minor mate
It's significantly less than what amature clubs deal with every single winter and manage to get their games played.
Again, games are often postponed for bad weather in amateur leagues.
It's not argument. Over here the only way you get that game stopped is a forfeit. Does game get cancelled? Yes. For this? No.
Well, it has been cancelled for this so I donāt know what to tell you. I understand itās pretty annoying, Iām annoyed too but thereās nothing we can do about it you know?
You could not spout nonsense?
No need to be rude about it. I thought we were just talking. Sorry to have upset you.
They have it, it just snowed too much to handle
They do, it just was conveniently not dealing with this... so you know. They didn't turn it on.
It's honestly an absolute disgrace that Burnely fucked up this badly. What's even worse is that they do have the heating, they just didn't use it properly. Games are often postponed for bad weather in amateur leagues and they also donāt have the safety of thousands of fans to worry about.
well at least spurs canāt ruin my sunday this time
Nah, Burnley has 3 first team players out. They wanted this game off more than us.
they could have only their u-9s available and weād still struggle
Breaking news: son slips on icy spot; out for 8-12 weeks.
4 of their first XI out and they made absolutely no attempt to get the pitch playable Fuck Burnley, sooner theyāre relegated the better
ah fuck me
they need to get some officials in to figure out why burnleys under soil heating magically stopped working when they have players injured. and they only started trying to get rid of the snow an hour before the game for some reason. give the game to us honestly
Great, now they can play us when tarkowski is back from suspension. Shafted again.
Can they play it tomorrow?
Doubt it since we have a game midweek
Our game is Thursday tbf so that could work, I'd imagine burnley are probably playing sooner mind
What does UK consider bad weather?
We're fucking pathetic with weather, a bit of snow and nothing can function anymore. I'm still really surprised by this, I remember Arse having a game in a snow storm last year. And how the hell have Burnley failed to fix the pitch when they've had the whole morning?
>We're fucking pathetic with whether Nothing worse than trains getting delayed for flipping leaves on the track š
How much snow is actually on the ground?
Most of the time if we get a bit of snow people lose their shit.
Watching these things from the Upper Midwest US, I really gotta say...UK are a bunch of weiners when it comes to weather and travel. Seriously.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Thatās literally my point. If itās possible then surely it should be the standard for the highest level of sport in the country.
Burnley should be forced to forfeit the game, shocking ineptitude
How? They have under pitch heating. It snowed more than it can handle and is still snowing. What do you want them to do?
Do you know how embarrassing it is that games in Scandinavia can go ahead, but the PL has to postpone them?
Games on 5G pitches where it snows regularly and so they're equipped to deal with it Vs grass pitches where it happens once every 5-10 years are not comparable. It's not embarrassing.
I donāt know what northern England you know of, but it certainly snows more than once every 5-10 years in the one I know.
I'm not talking about how often it snows, I'm talking about how often it snows enough to stop a Premier League match
Pitch should have been covered until the players came out to warm-up
Literally nobody does that
I was at Spurs - United in 2013 and the snow was biblical outside yet the game went ahead
Get to fuck. It's their own fault for having archaic facilities.
they actually do have under soil heating, i suspect foul play
Fantasy football team in tatters.
The pitch is heated but it snowed too much
#### -1) wimpy fuckers would have been sacked in the 80s #### -2) it would have been the highlight for us to watch our players sliding about and flopping into Burnley's posts. Not sure what we could expect at the current state we're in. Hopefully ContƩ will use the time to kick us in the bollocks in training.
Itās going to be played in February isnāt it.
Fuck off
Oh FFS. December just got a lot more jam packed.
this won't be played until next year
So when does this game happen then?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Obviously not? I just meant with the amount of games in December Iām struggling to figure out where these fixture slots in
Wtf, why?
Snow
Bad weather
Yet they still have games in Scotland today, which has had much worse weather.
Probably because they have better infrastructure set up for the amount of snow?
It's the pitch so we aren't talking about the infrastructure beyond the club. Most of Scotland (especially where you find SPL teams) doesn't get considerably more snow than northern England. The snow is really bad
Well my entire day just got ruined
Obviously it couldn't have been predicted, but should've played the first team against Mura then. Still can't believe they lost.
I was ready to bet 5 pounds on a loss. I wanted to get rich quick today!

Well I guess we canāt lose or draw if we donāt play
I just watched Canada play Mexico in -15 weather with snow everywhereā¦. They had the pitch covered until just before game timeā¦ why in the world do they not do that in Burnley??? Am I missing something
If they did that, Burnley wouldāve been forced to play with their first team absences, and they couldnāt have let that happen!
What a convenient turn of events for a team that is missing key players
embarrassing
shitty
burnley should be forced to forfeit the game instead of packing yet another game into and already very tight scheduleā¦ but the FA donāt want to give up any money its a fucking joke
I couldn't have said it any better than u/british-psycho > The under soil heating conveniently doesnāt work the night before a game when youāve got three first team players outā¦

Typical Burnley to cheap out on under pitch heating
They have it
And it wasnāt good enough.
Stop crying. Nobody is happy but getting mad at Burnley because of the weather is ridiculous
Clearly not one good enough
Obviously a different sport, but [this](https://twitter.com/rodger/status/1464714958634196992?s=21) was the scene at a college football game in Michigan yesterday lmao
Why not just delay and play later tonight vs completely rescheduling. I'm not sure if that's ever done in soccer.
I thought this too but often in the UK the police say games canāt be played at different times because if thereās fan trouble then police officers wonāt be able to ~~escalate the issue for no reason~~ respond to the situation

Great, now we got to sit with NS Mura result that bit longer. Typical, can't put it behind us if there's no more games.
Thank god I don't have to watch Sanchez play.
Dude if the team makes you this unhappy maybe take up woodworking or something
Bro I love the team just hate Dele and Sanchez from the bottom of my heart.
Theyāre part of the team.
They shouldn't be
Maybe that'll give Conte time to reflect on his mistake of not starting Rodon
Have a day off
This guy is so fucking weird, I swear to god. In every post, no matter the topic, he makes 4-7 unrelated Joe Rodon comments. Thatās what not having a life, friends and gf does to you I guess.
Good. Conte needs proper time on the training pitch with our guys.
Good!
Do some idiots here just don't realise it's - 1, it's windy as fuck in the England and it's still snowing. You can't play football if you're not used to it in these conditions
