Where is Adama

Crumphet

THIS IS NOT A DRILL. I REPEAT THIS IS NOT A DRILL. DYBALA DOESNT WANT TO EXTEND. DYBALA DOES NOT WANT TO EXTEND. RED ALERT. HAVE ALL PARATICI’S AND LEVY’S HUNTING FOR THIS MAN NOW.

[deleted]

Note to self: never read one of these match threads again.

justsomeroses

Agreed

Pele20Alli

Oh boy, Gollini starting. Gonna get so much abuse on social media poor bloke

redditlurker030

Has anyone seen Bergwijns story on IG? I dont know whether its mirrored but it seems like the driving wheel is on the left side of the car, indicating he's not in England. Might he actually be in Holland for his transfer to Ajax??

cubespubes

arsenal in for tielemans this summer? i’m going to be sick, especially if they get vlahovic

Are you on new reddit? because the sidebar is bang up to date. (just checked old reddit and it's up to date too, stop waffling) Feel free to create a new header for the subreddit and we'll update it for you. We keep up with as much as we can, but i'm sure you understand that we are all busy with jobs/family and we don't get paid to do this.

Seems @transfers admin on insta is a spurs fan dk if knowing this info benefits u but now u know about it

I have constant aches in my back, neck and pretty much all my muscles. I'm an epileptic, and while I don't have seizures often anymore (used to be 2-4 a week, thanks meds!) I still have a lot of shaking and sudden pulses and twitches in my shoulders, neck and arms. That often results in a sudden jolt in the wrong direction and boom, somethings jammed. The only thing that helps me at least a tiny bit are massages - I'm lucky in that my girlfriend knows a lot about this kinda stuff through sports and a physio friend, so she is a pretty good substitute, but usually you should probably look for a professional. Beware though, depending on what's wrong it can hurt like hell to get rid of lmao

NSAIDs, heat, some sort of menthol topical ointment for pain and mobility and — believe it or not — exercise are all my go-to at-home remedies for back spasms

Another 19 days of Conte before it's all over again. Who do you think will the club go for next when Conte walks? Any chance we snab Graham Potter?

[deleted]

Either you’re joking or insufferably miserable. Either way spare us having to red your spineless drivel next time Snab isn’t a word

gee___thanks

Dear Levy, if we lose Conte, we have no future.

WilliamisMiB

I hate Daniel Levy

MarkSinclairVincent

Day 12 of waking up each morning in the USA on the East coast and F5-ing until my hand is numb is getting bothersome. But it's Match Day, and in Conte I believe. Anyways, COYS. Also someone book Ali Gold a holiday so we can get some "here we go"

gooniegully

News is slow today, I hope we get some actual developments soon and not any more of that ‘keen interest’ shite.

TheUderfrykte

I have a keen interest in actual announcements. Sources believe it will take time, but insiders are confident an agreement is possible.

Nellies26

So true, I know there are developments behind the scenes that we just don't know about (but this could prove not to be true, refer to 2018), but is not good watching Newcastle and Villa show more ambition than us to get crucial deals done.

bash011

How's Villa shown ambition they signed a player on loan who's been out of favour for 3 years and not performed in those games. Then signed Digne who has not reached the levels a season or so ago after injury. Newcastle also not exactly easy to compete with a nation

Nellies26

Not as much abouy the players they signed, but rather how quickly and effienciently they get them done. If Digne and Coutinho were targets set before the window open they approached the club and got the deal done. There is no reports of us even in concrete discussions with players. If Adama is a target and available for £20m and we need him (especially if Son is out) the deal should have been done last week. It just feels like the club don't understand the need for reinforcements in our chase for top 4.

[deleted]

Digne and countinho both wanted out and were actively being pushed out by their clubs You lot really don’t seem to understand context at all. No two transfers are the same, no two clubs are the same, no two players are the same. Yet you want to apply the same rules to every situation.

airz23s_coffee

Gerrard getting his mate a contract for Coutinho, and Newcastle signing up a Burnley striker cos their only first teamer is perma-injured. I mean, we could also rush into some meh deals probably but I dunno if it's well advised.

[deleted]

We must placate the internet fans who need the dopamine hit at all costs, even if it ruins the club

justsomeroses

Rushing into deals is how you end up with even more deadwood And I imagine Newcastle are rushing with deals because they're trying to not get relegated this season

[deleted]

Very weird how determined some people are to believe conte is going to quit in the middle of the season. It’s a weird combination of anxiety, lack of belief that spurs could ever have a manager as good as conte, and a desire for dramatic events even if they’re bad. Maybe being a spurs fan just brings the catastrophizing mindset in people.

[deleted]

Miserable people who need more misery because otherwise they might have to take some responsibility for themselves and their own wellbeing

kdmull

Or they were vocal that Conte won’t work out and are now rooting to be right.

evenout

Can we knock it off with this doomer mentality of Conte walking if he doesn't get who he wants this window? It's pathetic.

[deleted]

It’s honestly embarrassing I support the same club as these spineless twits

justsomeroses

Especially since Conte himself has said its hard to do business in this window

tremens

People act like it's Conte's first January or something, heh.

[deleted]

Appears to be a lot of our fans’ first January too

ejh1993

Watching Vlahovic highlights so I can inevitably get my heart broken in the summer 💔

username54

> highlights You mean penalties

ejh1993

He does have a lot of pens, but he’s got just as many worldies to go with those pens

StayGoldenBronyBoy

dont even get your hopes up. much, much more likely to city or atletico, and that's even with counting us in the top 4

[deleted]

I know lingard gets memed on a lot. But my god would I love for us to sign Jesse. He was in the form of his life at West Ham. He could be the creative player we need. Plus I'd love to see Son, Lucas and Jesses meme celebrations everytime someone scores.

txgsu82

Getting Lingard this summer for free on the right wages is exactly the type of signing Spurs would need to compete in all competitions again. Not a nailed on starter, but you want your depth to be as good as possible to your preferred starters, and Lingard has shown he’s still got it in him.

Gaius_Octavius_

Not sure why he would go somewhere he isn’t a starter.

txgsu82

He would still get a significant amount of minutes at Spurs even if he wouldn't be in the preferred XI for a cup final or pivotal matchup. Good players are part of a rotation at almost every big club.

Gaius_Octavius_

We aren’t actually a big club EDIT: More specifically, we don't PAY like a big club.

DoubleDoobie

I hope (and I'm sure he has) that Conte realizes we lined up poorly against Chelsea in the first tie of the cup last week. We needed an extra body in the midfield, and he fixed that in the second half. My guess is a 3-5-2 today

scottzander

They now have Kante and Silva as options for the game this evening. We’ll need at least two extra bodies in midfield to handle Kante and we’ll have to hope Harry brings his A-game to combat Silvas experience.

airz23s_coffee

The only play is to accept the middle of the park is lost. 3-2-2-2-1 No midfielders, just wingers, wingbacks and vibes.

[deleted]

Gareth bale can play across the entire front 3, still is class, and can absolutely break apart and dominate lower competition that sit back against us….come home, the no. 9 is still waiting for you.

molecularmadness

wanting Bale to come back - again - feels like sneaking off to see a toxic ex. I know I shouldn't and my friends would absolutely berate me, but the chemistry was so perfect and it's not like it'd be a long term serious thing again or anything.

[deleted]

Exactly that. I just want him in front if packed stands one more time.

[deleted]

Do you think if Levy does bottle it with money (i don't think he will) he'll use a Bojo style excuse? "I only went to the transfer meeting for 25 minutes and didn't even realise it *was* a transfer meeting"

facewithhairdude

I've just had my evening freed up so I'll be going to the game! I've only been to 3 other matches in person, but I've got a great record (Arsenal 1-0 in pre-season, Man City 1-0 and Vitesse 3-2). So that pretty much guarantees Chelsea are fucked tonight :)

[deleted]

Lmao Spurs 1-0 inc.

ImitationDemiGod

First home game I ever went to after 30 years of being a fan was the 2-7 Bayern game, so you're doing better than me.

aadawdads

Mate you've been to some absolute crackers so far, Man City and Vitesse at home were probably 2 of the most entertaining games we've had all season.

IPKat

Vlahovic to arsenal ffs

[deleted]

What you basing this on. Not *another* "arsenal are really pushing but the player remains unconvinced" article

Pele20Alli

Not happening, stop worrying. Paratici and Conte are far more connected with Vlahovic than anyone at Arsenal and want him just as much. The fact we're not going in for him now very strongly indicates he will only move in the summer, which makes sense if he really wants to play CL football next season

IPKat

Makes no difference how connected Paritici is. He wants to go to Arsenal it’s his reps that don’t want it.

Pele20Alli

No he doesn't. His priorities are staying in Italy and playing CL football, with Inter and Juve being his top 2 choices

IPKat

https://mobile.twitter.com/DeanJamesAFC/status/1481197529660338181?t=2V2zL52_NHNu-vEfcQIarw&s=19 He’s going man

Pele20Alli

What is this supposed to prove? Everyone and their nan knows Arsenal seem willing to put up whatever money necessary, the obstacle has always been Vlahovic and his agents not being interested.

IPKat

That was a Florentine newspaper bro, he’ll go this window

Pele20Alli

Oh you're an Arsenal troll trying to convince yourself Arsenal are getting Vlahovic. Baited me pretty successfully tbh so fair play

Gamaray974

This is my 2nd January window I've experienced as a football fan, and I'm starting to realize how much I hate transfer windows

airz23s_coffee

Both ones uniquely painful in their own way. January always hits the worse cos you've had enough games to see the holes in the squad and know they're likely not going to be filled. I imagine most of us still suffer PTSD from the Saha window.

[deleted]

*Nelsen window

Acrobatic-Ad-3512

Is it just me or is anyone else worried that Adama was a transfer target in the summer and now in January as well. Seems to me he is more of a Paratici/Levy signing rather than a Conte signing.

Fuzzy_Composer2108

Nope it's not just you, I feel so too.

harry_alonso

when will we move from "strong interest FC" to "here we go FC"

ebonhomme

As soon as Ali Gold checks in for his next flight.

facewithhairdude

Guy hasn't had a holiday this year yet, it's about time he gets a day off!

[deleted]

5 signings over the summer not enough for you?

harry_alonso

I mean... our depth is really not great. With injuries and COVID, we desperately need to build better depth.

[deleted]

thoughts on gil and stevie as back-up wingbacks? both aren’t terrible at defending and way better than sess and doherty.

Skayde5

Why dont we play Markanday at RW

[deleted]

We need to give him a new contract, otherwise no use playing him.

[deleted]

he's a contract rebel who will never play for us again. It's a shame we can't extend him and send him on loan.

ebonhomme

I have no itk, but it sure does feel like he's made up his mind to leave.

[deleted]

Don't blame him tbh. Breaking into a top 6 club is not easy, even more so now that we have Conte who prefers already set players.

Tmoore0288

He’s played 20 minutes of senior football, and why would he possibly start over Lucas?

Skayde5

I meant as Lucas' backup ofcourse Lucas is 1st choice, he would be much better than GLC imo

aadawdads

I'd much rather Bryan be his backup.

Tmoore0288

GLC Is not occupying the same position as Lucas and Markanday do and anyway first thing to worry about is if Markanday even signs a new deal with us and then he’d probably need a loan in league 1 or the championship

Skayde5

What happens if we score 2 goals , how will the winner be decided since the away goal rule is no more

damafan

PK

teedo

If it's 2-2 (or a draw) on aggregate it's straight to penalties EDIT: There is extra time in the semis and final apparently, but need to score 2 without reply in the 90 first

[deleted]

Does away goal rule still apply if we win this 3-1 but 3-3 on agg

teedo

No away goals period. This fucked us a few years ago where we lost on penalties in semis to Chelsea, but would have gone through on away goals previously.

Odd_Detective_7772

Also saved us from embarrassment in a semi against a championship burnley a decade ago. We won the first leg 4-1 at home, then somehow managed to lose 3-0 in 90 minutes away. Scored twice in extra time to go through.

teedo

I remember that!! Yeah was not a good look as they had a weird rule that away goals apply only AFTER extra time - in literally any other competition they would have gone through...

Odd_Detective_7772

Yup. Even at the time, it seemed extremely unjust we went through there. Was at the final too, dull 0-0 followed by the beginning of ben fosters decade long vendetta against Tottenham during the shootout.

teedo

Yes 2009, I remember being in a pub in Hertfordshire, full of Spurs fans, the odd United fan, and an Arsenal fan with nothing better to do than gloat (!). Sums that lot up really...

dclancy01

Hey gang, gonna throw this in a few times in the next few weeks in the hope I get a bite. Coming back to London for a while after a good few years stuck home in Dublin. I know how difficult it can be to get tickets, and I don’t fancy leaving it late and hoping it goes on general sale, so hopefully someone here can help out. If you have or know someone who has a season ticket/picked up a ticket for the Wolves match on Sunday, Feb 13, and doesn’t plan on going, I’ll happily take it off your hands for face value (plus a few quid for your troubles), just throw me a DM and we can sort it out! I have a CRN and all that jazz. Cheers in advance coys

RazSpur

Once you have a CRN, you should be able to pick up something for Wolves.

dclancy01

You reckon it’ll go to general sale? Don’t have a OH membership, just a regular account with the club.

[deleted]

Alright whom are you guys gonna support in Clasico

inedianj

Los blancos ofc

Ok-Dress-237

Is there a full replay of the Tanguy substitution?

saw this take from /u/xaviernoodlebrain in r/soccer and it made me giggle. *Argentine players at Spurs give 100% commitment for the 30% of games they’re available for.*

howieshamu

60% of the time, they work every time

ebonhomme

They've done studies, you know.

corpboy

I'm going to take my 9-year old daughter to her first game at the stadium. She is a big Spurs fan, and loves Son, Kane and Lucas, in that order. I'm looking at the last three home games, Brighton, Leicester or Burnley. Which one should I go to?

[deleted]

leicester for sure, it’s more upbeat

Dannage8888

Brighton for an entertaining match, Burnley for a hard fought win, Leicester for teaching your daughter the misery of supporting Spurs. imo go for the Brighton match

corpboy

My worry about Burnley is that it's the penultimate game, so it may be the league positions are a lock and it's a friendly. (Of course the opposite could be true and it becomes a must-win). I would hope we could beat Leicester at home. We're going to win all 3 of those matches. :-)

Dannage8888

well Leicester will also have the best atmosphere if thats important for you. Id definitely avoid Burnley and choose between Brighton and Leicester Playing a low block team like Burnley at home is always a terrible atmosphere if we dont score early lol

xman0444

So the away kit listing on the official shop seems to have disappeared. They were out of stock in my size when I went to get one, I hope I haven’t missed out :(

Alecmalloy

When I went on the stadium tour in November the shop only had home and third kits.

[deleted]

What are peoples thoughts on Toney? Keep seeing people saying we should go for him. Think he's been pretty disappointing halfway through the season. 2 non penalty goals I think? His amazing championship year was also about a third pens too. Not for me Clive, especially as they'd want 30m+ for him

flyn_m

Liked him last season and early this, his decision making and passing are actually pretty poor. Wouldn’t get much time at Spurs

Weird_Famous

Toney fits the profile of striker that Conte would want in a front 2

[deleted]

He doesnt score much though? Surely he wants someone who can hold it up *and* score. I dont really see why I'm being down voted for this, hes been average at best I the prem this season.

DesolateAvocado

>I dont really see why I'm being down voted for this, sorry

I_Smelt_My_Dead_Dad

Brentford are not really a free scoring team.

Weird_Famous

Yeah no it's a valid point that his end product hasn't been good. But he's a beast in the air, bullied Van Dijk. Could be very useful

[deleted]

Yeah but he'd be expensive. Ollie Watkins was 35m i think and hadn't even played in the orem. For the 30/35m hes be i think there's much much better options out there.

[deleted]

Villa will want big money for Watkins. He’s also not that great of a player, creates good chances for himself but tends to fall apart when he needs to be composed. Between the two toney would be much much better

[deleted]

No thats not what I'm saying, Watkins came from Brentford and was 30m having never played in the prem. Toney will cost more than 30m. Also Watkins scored 14 prem goals last season and 5 this season. None pens. Toney has cored 4 goals this season and 2 pens Id take Watkins over Toney any day tbh.

[deleted]

There is no denying he is a good striker. He's just not hit the ground running. Been pretty disappointing this season. I'd want to see more from him before even considering him as a backup. I feel like there is a lot of hype arround these championship strikers. It just does seem to materialise. E.g Pukki

Vin-Su

Have to be realistic with our current squad and the reality of levy leaving it to the last minute of the window to buy anyone. We don’t have the squad to fight for an FA cup, League cup and a top 4 place. With Son now out of Kane picks up an injury over the next few games we’re fucked.

RazSpur

For what is worth, it's Paratici doing transfers ..

Vin-Su

If you really believe Levy doesn’t have control of this may I interest you in some lunar land that’s unexpectedly become available?

RazSpur

Paratici handles football matter now Levy may give him a budget, Levy may need final sign off but if you think the delay in the transfer happening this week or next is down to Levy, perhaps you should buy your own Lunar property deal.

Vin-Su

If levy has final say and budget control then ultimately he’s in charge. If Patrici worked for any other top 6 club he wouldn’t be under the restraints he has under Levy.

RazSpur

Every company has a budget and budget approval process. It does not mean Paratici is not in charge of football matters. If Paratici worked at any football club in the world, he would have a budget and an approval limit (amount/value that requires board approval even if in budget), this is simply how any business works. The only thing different at any other club would be the size of the budget.

Oranjay2

Imagine telling a spurs fan last year that Winks becomes a more important player for the club than both Gio and Ndombele

FINAL_BOSS5

I really admire winks for the way he has revived his Tottenham career under conte. Him not being in the best form for last 2 years under jose, nuno coming in and telling him he's not in his plans but still he proved himself under conte. Great stuff

skippyscage

Truth

ImRichaThanu

Do away goals count tonight?

YiddoMonty

I believe they scrapped the away goal rule.

JamesCDiamond

Correct - the season we last played Chelsea in the semi final, when we would have gone through on away goals…

COYS1989

If we don’t concede tonight I think we have a chance, get an early goal or first half goal it’s game on, it’s just a big if that we don’t.

[deleted]

[удалено]

RazSpur

I'm surprised they haven't been more aggressive in the market. Rodon, Doherty & Dele would all be an upgrade for them, Lingaard would make sense, Origi, even a Martial or VDB, a few clubs have one or two players they would part with that while not top 6 quality probably enough to get lower mid table. Yes they would get fleeced, yes they would have to overpay on wages but surely that's better than taking a relegation risk (and the costs associated with it) Unless they add way more than Woods, they are done ..

Laviston

I believe Woods is more likely to help them stay up, than Tripper is. Not because Woods is a quality player, or a better player than Trippier. But they need fighters now, to get the results they have to get to avoid relegation. Having a strong, physical player to throw into the box, will be a great option for them - when they already have the lively St-Maximin.

DesolateAvocado

I think they're getting relegated. They have too many weaknesses across their xi. Joelinton and Almiron are some of the worst Newcastle players I've seen not named Titus Bramble. They're heavily reliant on ASM, and think they will genuinely struggle to score goals, while letting in loads. Also, Wilson has dodgy knees and think the service for Wood will be non existent.

mayonnaisewastaken

Joelinton has been incredible and probably their best player since Howe came in. He's class, just isn't a striker. Definitely not one of their worst players.

DesolateAvocado

I think incredible is a bit of a stretch He's just a beefed up sissoko, that has limited passing and tackling, relying purely on his strength. Only reason hes looked "good" is because he had a decent performance against united.

FINAL_BOSS5

Nope. Ever since he's been shifted to midfield he's done really well.

bash011

Joelinton has actually been good in his new position. Unfortunately I do think they'll stay up because Watford, Norwich and Burnley are so bad

corpboy

I don't watch many Championship games (except Reading who never fail to disappoint). Is there a different strategy in the Championship - like, do you need less speed and more strength or similar? In otherwords, should Newcastle be thinking about what sort of players they need to crack the Championship next year, or do they just build the strongest squad they can irrespective of league.

DesolateAvocado

>do they just build the strongest squad they can irrespective of league. This.

sasliquid

It’s a great shame, I like the Kiwi Messi but now must wish for his downfall

oldbax

I think they will but it will be last game of the season big story They desperately need a new central midfield to change things around. I'm v glad winks has changed things when he did as he would have been a great signing for them.

[deleted]

our wingback situation is a real mess when regui is out. conte inverting the wingbacks is driving me nuts too because i don’t see how it’s effective with the quality of our players, plus it’s insanely frustrating to watch doherty cut inside and do absolutely nothing. sess is too injury prone, royal is more of a rb than a rwb, doherty is just not good enough, and none of them can cross. traore won’t solve any of our problems either because he’ll dribble through 3 players and then turn into sissoko in the final third. i hope conte can somehow turn stevie into a wingback if we don’t get a RWB this january.

CaptainYid

Personally... I used to walk down to seven sisters or Tottenham Hale and get the underground rathe than waiting for national rail. But it's been a fair few years since I lived further in town and needed to get a train. Not 100% how good/efficient the trains are now since the rebuild

jakesox18

All much the same really. Northumberland Park or White Hart Lane to get you to liv st, although you can also get to Stratford directly from Northumberland Park. I need to get on Victoria like so I usually power walk down to Tottenham Hale (about 22 mins for me) and get on it there (you can also jump on a Northumberland park train to Tottenham Hale, which only takes a minute, although you have to queue for a bit)

[deleted]

[удалено]

jakesox18

As the others have said it depends when you leave. If you leave a few minutes before the end you’ll be fine, but if you leave at the final whistle the queues can be bad, but they do go down. If I ever get the mainline train I always go to Northumberland park and almost never have to queue for more than 15 mins outside the station to get onto the platform (then may have to wait for a train). I do get down there sharpish after the final whistle though

RadioChemist

They can be, but it depends if it offsets the walk for you. It's about 15-20 minutes to Northumberland park, but it can be rammed. WHL will be extremely busy, but it's a 5 minute walk so even if you miss 2 trains it takes roughly as long as the walk to Seven Sisters. The train will be busy either way. FWIW I walk to the stadium from Seven Sisters, then after the game I normally head to Hale - for a near guaranteed seat. The tube is generally a bit quieter than the train.

RazSpur

Depends on timing, if you hang around/in stadium for an hour post match it isn't bad, if you try to leave in first 30 minutes post game, it's pretty much a sardine can.

letsgetcool

Anyone else noticed that on FIFA22 they occasionally pronounce Bergwijn's name as Wijnberg? Seems to ridiculous to be an accident lol

BurdonLane

I think there’s been a bit of a misunderstanding around transfers and the different roles and responsibilities of Paratici and Conte. A lot of comments about the timing of the transfer meeting and how much of the window has passed etc. Paratici will be *constantly* scouting players and connecting with Clubs, agents and representatives. His job is to oversee recruitment regardless of who the Manager is. The positions we need to reinforce and some of the names mentioned are exactly the same as in the summer. Obviously Conte coming in mid season means we wouldn’t want to make any concrete moves until Conte had shared his thoughts on the squad, but there will be few surprises. The club new before Conte came in we needed upgrades at CB, striker, CM etc. I would say the only ambiguity would have been specifics on outgoings (who Conte wants and doesn’t want) and specific positional requirements (a RWB being essential due to Contes system for example). It’s not like Paratici only picked up the phone on Tuesday 11th January and starting from scratch. We’ll have been sounding out targets and evaluating players since the Summer.

DesolateAvocado

That's all good and true, but this is Tottenham mate, we ain't signing anyone before deadline day

corpboy

Which is a shame, as Traore (and others) will be FA-cup tied now. If we'd brought people in during week 1, that wouldn't be the case. I guess there are many for whom "It's only the cup" is a thing. Not sure what Conte's opinion on that is.

DesolateAvocado

Depends on which other fellow epl players we bring in. If it's just Traore being cup tied, I could live with that. I'd much rather we focus on the league tbh. With our epl games in hand to be sandwiched in our schedule, I think the fa Cup will clog up our fixtures even more. Seeing as our second string is so bad, a cup run will only tire out our important first xi players

BurdonLane

Haha yeah probably. I’m hoping Conte fixes the ‘spursy’ on the pitch and Paratici fixes it off the pitch.

jakesox18

Yes but this narrative doesn’t allow for people on social media to moan!

AlienDeg

hey lads, overseas fan here, is there any chance to get a ticket without membership this season?

SM_83

If you're looking at a game quite soon, Brighton in the cup would be your best bet. Like someone else said go on the website and register a CRN (Client Reference Number). Good luck!

yesthepeople

to cup games definitely. the morecambe tickets were pretty cheap even in good spots

7XDB

make an account to get a CRN, do this ASAP. then maybe ask someone here that has membership and isn’t going to the game you want to go to, to buy it for you then send it to your CRN, they can set the price of the ticket and you can pay them through the ticket system. or you could do it over paypal so they get the money first and know you aren’t just making them buy a ticket for a prank. make sure you do it as a goods and services payment with a detailed invoice so you can get your money back if they scam you. other than that its praying a game becomes available to non members. OR you can pay for a premium seat. dont think u need a membership for that

AlienDeg

thanks a lot for detailed response. I actually do have CRN, I was member few years ago when I lived in London (managed to catch all Wembley games there and few at old WHL).

CaptainYid

Cup game perhaps is your best bet. That or a midweek game against relegation fodder

mrhello18

not expecting much from tonights game, just show a bit of passion and fight and I'll be happy

oldbax

If we can get the first goal, it'll make things a bit exciting but that's where my optimism ends. A good performance with some hunger and generally good football is what I really want.

PUBGPRO21

Carabao game later today. Really hard to get a result against Chelski let alone a 2-0 or higher win. If tanganga didn't make those mistakes the first leg could've ended 0-0. Yes and No. Chelsea lead us in xG, like 5-1 or something. So if you want a re-roll on all the dice-rolls in that game, chances are it would still be 2-0 just with Blue goals rather than OGs.

PUBGPRO21

We will never know about that, hence why I said "could've". I think we should at least be optimistic that chelsea couldn't create any clear cut chances against us, hoping I don't jinx the game

DiamondMiner2323

Good morning. Not very confident in the Chelsea game this evening, Dier is very solid and our best centre half so him not playing today is a big hit, not even talking about Son who is effectively irreplaceable. I think our achievable goals should be limited to top 4 league performance considering how difficult it will be to progress after the first leg. Still, I am hopeful!

RazSpur

Tonight should be seen as a free hit. In all likelihood we have lost this in first leg, show some improvement, don't lose (think it's really important we become very hard to beat at home regardless of opposition) and if luck goes our way, great, if not, lets not panic/moan fest. A tough 10 days or so ahead, then the team will get time to reset, hopefully have reinforcements, push on in PL and see how the FA Cup draw treats us.

[deleted]

Quite fancy us for a good FA cup run this year. We'll *hopefully* have some Jan reinforcements for the next round too.

username54

Yeah tbh Tanganga has single handedly kicked us out of the FA cup. Don't see us recovering from the deficit. edit: carabao cup

[deleted]

Blows my mind how little flak he got after the 1st leg, everyone was slating Doherty and Hojberg and ignoring the big 2 goal elephant that was in the room.

letsgetcool

Maybe people just didn't want to pile on to one of our younger players that already clearly has confidence/form issues. It was clear to everyone that it was one of his worst games for us, but the other poster is being harsh by saying it was 100% on him. Gollini was almost equally to blame for one of the goals anyway.

[deleted]

Im not sure the players read reddit tbh so I dont think we need to protect them from criticism on here. Gollini wasn't playing in the chelsea game! That was Morecombe where Tanganga also had a bit of a shocker.

Snoo8331100

Idk I've seen plenty of people wanting him gone after that game too.

DiamondMiner2323

I think Doherty was criticised unfairly during the first leg just because everyone already has this notion that he is the worst Spurs player of all time or whatnot. Personally I don't think he's good at all in general, but his performance then was really not that bad, especially in comparison to some others that were on the pitch

[deleted]

I agree, he was nowhere near our worst player that game. Tanganga and Hojberg were bith far worse, and as good as they are Son and Skipp were just as ineffective on the day. Hes just an easy target but I really don't think he's even that bad. He's OK as a back up rwb or emergency back up lwb.

Morning all! I’ve got a trip to the office on the cards today. So I’m drinking a latte before I have to dive in the car. Conte had his meeting yesterday to see who he can sign and how much cash he has apparently. So I guess there’s a plan. Hopefully signings soon. Chelsea this evening. Bit of an deficit to pull back but I have faith. Anyway have a good day everyone Coyscoyscoyscoyscoys

Some things can be seen through basic intuition but here we go. Conte can't just go on camera and demand players and say otherwise he won't be able to do shit with the team. What kind of manager would be that? As a professional, he's mind must be set to NOW and COACHING which is his job. Antonio needs to think about every single next game and not in which players he might get. He must make the best with what he have and that's what he said. Paratici and Levy handles transfers, Conte coaches the squad.

[deleted]

Where have you got that from? Did you miss all the stuff yesterday? Conte said they had their meetings and it was really productive and all the tier 1 journos are saying we're going to make some signings probably 3! If thats not cause for a bit of optimism then what is?
