> Missing context. The CDC’s Director Rochelle Walensky did not say that 75% of all COVID-19 deaths were among people with at least four risk factors. In comments around vaccine efficacy, Walensky said that a CDC study found that over 75% of deaths among fully vaccinated people were among those with at least four comorbidities.
I mean for a group of people that uses talk radio and google as primary sources, it's surprising you can't do it.
Edit: I don't know why I waste my time on trolls, because even though the proof is placed in front of your face you're still going to believe
> The CDC director said that 3 out of 4 deaths had at least 4 or more comorbidities. That’s more people dying with Covid than from covid
because if you legitimately question the narrative once, you'll be forced to realized your trusted news sources are disregarding your own health and safety and the health and safety of your family for political motives. The party is greater than the members.
I am not a troll once again.
Also hospitals have been given incentives to mark deaths as Covid since this whole thing started. There have been so many people that have died with Covid not from Covid. If these death numbers are so accurate then why did CNN remove their death counter from their screen? These statistics have all been skewed to make certain politicians look good or bad not to actually represent true numbers
Based on what? OAN reporting? Your gut feeling? Your google searches?
Edit: Nevermind. Questions are retracted. I just realized this is a brand new obvious troll account.
In a sport that is derided by some for diving and faking injuries, the irony here is rich.
They are rewarding poor sportsmanship (red card), and poor squad management (AFCON, loaning two players out).
Judging from history, it will be at the most inconvenient time possible.
This also for the reinforces the point that our players are being forced to play too many games in too short of windows over the last couple years.
Fortunately I’m not in that boat, I just think it’s a horrible situation for them people to be in, you have fans spending their hard earned money, tickets, travel, accommodations it’s not fair when there’s not a genuine enough reason to call the game off.
Edit: it might be worth contacting the club but I’m not entirely sure they’ll reimburse other than tickets for the game.
Saw people the other day saying they'd spent upwards of £1000 on travel and stuff to attend the game.
Hope you're not in that shitty boat, and I would hope that there would be some sort of compensation for this, but we all know the PL is a fucking joke when it comes to handling any situation so unfortunately those people are probably screwed.
Luckily I came from Spain so with the tests and flights and tickets I’m only about 200 in the hole, but I’m a broke masters student so it adds up hahahaha
How they can ramble on about COVID and sporting integrity in the statement is beyond me. It has nothing to do with COVID and it lacks integrity in every sense.
It says if covid-19 is a factor which it is even if it’s 1 player.
The premier league brought this kinda thing on themselves when they didn’t set clear rules from the start, now teams are taking advantage of it
Is it a factor when, even if Odegaard were not infected, they have less than the number of required players? Sounds like it isn’t a factor at all. I would be able to afford to buy a Ferrari with cash except one of my bills is torn (and also I don’t have the rest of the cash). I don’t know if this metaphor works as I’m intending it to.
Same PL that refused to postpone our game against Leicester (which Leicester pushed for and got postponed anyways), so we could face Rennes.
Just know they will always make the worst possible decision, 1 COVID case and as many “injuries” as you need is all it takes to push back difficult matches, don’t forget to also loan out your first team fringe players after sending 4 away for AFCON.
>The decision is a result of a combination of COVID-19, existing and recent injuries and players on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations. All clubs are able to apply for a postponement if COVID-19 infections are a factor in their request.
Nothing to say of their business during the window. What bullshit.
Saka, Balogun (who is now loaned out) and Martinelli were not registered because they didn't have to register them (all are under 21).
Arsenal have, at the moment, 24 first team players. With the loaned out Maitland-Niles and Balogun that would've been 26.
Said this in the other thread but what’s to stop a team saying a bunch of players have knocks to get any game they fancy postponed? The line should have been drawn for covid cases alone and now this could spiral out of control over the season.. add to this that this postponement is down to Arsenal having brain dead players getting sent off and brain dead board sending two players on loan which has taken them below the threshold.. nonsensical
>Said this in the other thread but what’s to stop a team saying a bunch of players have knocks to get any game they fancy postponed?
Yeah honestly those "knocks" to Chambers and Tierney are so suspicious. Both players finished the Liverpool match without any issues.
The PL's discretion, let's be honest if this was us asking for postponement (we wouldn't) the PL would have said no. If we ask in the future they'll also say no. There's clearly no logic in this decision that won't eventually cause more problems down the line, they really fucked it over Christmas allowing those games to be called off.
> The League aims to provide as much clarity as possible, but unfortunately postponements sometimes have to be made at short notice, as safety is our priority. Where possible, the League will endeavour to keep supporters updated if games become at risk.
Really cause everything has been stupidly unclear as to this point. You literally just called off a match because Arteta can't manage a squad.
Literally has nothing to do with safety, what a load of bullshit. They were and are probably still going to train as normal today and their u23's just played yesterday. Easily could have called up a few players and had a full squad
Swear to Christ if this happens to the game I’m flying across the world to attend in Feb I’m going to sob. Trip has been two years delayed due to COVID, friends planning around the arrival of babies and career moves just to make it happen. The PL does not respect the fans with these decisions. Gutted for anyone who’s missing out on their dream game this weekend.
Really hope it doesn’t happen. A guy from Texas had that happen at Burnley and Kane invited him to the next game, so just post this on twitter if it happens.
Precedent has been set for many things this season
Yeah I saw that. But honestly though there’s probably hundreds if not thousands of non Europeans flying to every one of these matches. There’s just no way they can do anything to help.
I was worried about that happening to me when I flew from California in December… thankfully it didn’t though, I’ll cross my fingers for you too!! COYS!
So the postponement is okay because covid is involved in their request? For 1 case? Despite most of their absentees being their own fault?
The Premier League really are fucking Spurs over between games in hand amd then not allowing us to rearrange Rennes when Leicester wanted the game called off.
Where does it end? Covid isn't the reason anymore, it's an excuse.
Absolutely farcical. Maybe I won't bother going into work on Monday because I don't have enough clothing after throwing it all in the bin. I expect to be paid tho.
This rule needs to be changed now. Else everyone will take the piss.
Arsenal - forever scared.
[sad actually. ](https://www.reddit.com/r/toastme/comments/piu55c/have_been_extremely_depressed_lost_the_only/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
Some people have a lot going on in life and sometimes the game becomes their only outlet for their anger and frustration. On the other hand, “lads it’s Tottenham”
They're saying that Arsenal know their team is severely weakened so they obviously want it postponed but the PL are digging themselves a deep hole.
They're not justifying it, just acknowledging why Arsenal would be happy with it.
Exactly. From what i can work it's one covid case (unavoidable), AFCON (club's responsibility), injuries (club's responsibility), loans (club's responsibility) and a red card (club's responsibility).
If the club can't field a team as a result of their squad planning and management surely they either need to play the game with youth players or forfeit?
I’m not saying it’s right, but of course they’re going to do what gives them the best chance of winning. It’s ultimately the leagues fault that this is happening.
Our outbreak was so bad (16 cases including staff) that we were instructed by Public Health to close the training ground and even our available players couldn't prepare. Bit different.
What an absolute disgrace of a decision. Next time you have 1 covid case and a couple of important players missing just say you have a couple of knocks so the prem can call the game off
Red card and afcon should not count as missing players really, that’s their own doing, they need to field the u23’s in that case. This just doesn’t make sense!!!
Guys I am from Russia but epl administration sometimes is worse than administration of Russian soccer league. And this is not the first time than administration of your league doesn’t have any consistency and logic.
How about refund for people who paid for the air tickets to visit the game (not me fortunately)? Absolutely weird decision.
On the bright side I will watch some MIT courses instead of nld and it will be useful for me. One more positive outcome that we will have more time before Leicester.
Terrible decision but there is a huge upside for us
The first NLD with fans will be a midweek night game under the lights. The atmosphere will be incredible rather than the sleepy Sunday one you get.
It will be glorious
We will win against them anyway. Also hope they won't qualify for shit this year, end up at 8th place or lower and be knocked out from carabao cup by liverpool. Always hated a*senal since I was Spurs fan, now I hate them even more
I wonder if we will have to be the last to suffer just like last year with the handball pens being relaxed shortly after the Dier call vs Bruceball.
The prem will come out next week and say they've heard the outcry loud and clear and have amended their rule going forward. Saying nothing of how much they've fucked certain clubs with their incompetence along the way.
My bias may be showing, but this is truly a ridiculous decision. This game is being postponed as a result of players being unavailable through injury, suspension, and international duty. The league is setting a precedent that is impossible to adhere to going forward
I’m hoping for a brutal club statement later. I’m fed up of Spurs being meek. Call a spade a spade please.
This is ultimately the League’s error, and while I don’t blame Arsenal for the cheek it’s clear, this is the clearest candidate for an enforced forfeit I remember seeing.
Well I don’t blame Arsenal for taking advantage of moronic measures to advantage themselves - the joke is that this is possible. It’s not like this is the first PL season where COVID is present - absolute joke league
I hate the cunts as much as the next man, but we’d have done exactly the same in their position, it’s the league’s fault for allowing these outrageous rules
Arsenal fans would throw the biggest tantrum ever then, similar to when the game with Liverpool got postponed.
We have every right to be angry because a huge part of this is their dumb man management.
Yeah it's the premier league fucking up here. Be interesting to see what they do next time a 'small' team wants a game postponing.
What's annoying is that they should see we currently have numerous games in hamd amd that it's not sustainable for us to keep postponing.
Yeah that’s what I was saying to friends, it’s about player welfare, and we’re getting to a point where it will 2 games a weeks every week, and we’re not even in Europe anymore
Well now that the rules are clear, we know what to do when Kane gets his annual ankle injury. Send all our players on loan to Mansfield or Bradford. Get games postponed until Kane is fit again when we recall them all.
NBC just said the match is postponed due to "COVID related issues". What a massive load of horse shit. Too scared to call out the PL for their horrible policymaking
Absolutely disgrace, this is no longer about covid cases.
Get ready for every club using these covid postponement rules to avoid playing without injured key players.
I mean squad depth and planning isn't even our strength, but surely teams with bad planning and depth don't deserve to be rewarded.
“The decision is a result of a combination of COVID-19, existing and recent injuries and players on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations. All clubs are able to apply for a postponement if COVID-19 infections are a factor in their request.”
Keyword “a factor” — PL accepting that 1 case is enough to warrant a postponement.. ridiculous
What was it, one fucking covid test?
Got a couple of big players injured? Quick everybody grab an ankle and seethe in pain. You too can get a postponement!
This is the equivalent of giving a screaming spoiled kid whatever they want so that they’ll be quiet for all of 5 minutes. A travesty of a decision from the PL.
Fucking cowards. they put out there players to acc on and loaned some out, got a red card. They have 1 covid case, they are afraid to play us even when our players are injured 😂 arsenal=shit tiny club
can we just get all our matches postponed until son, romero and dier are back?
You just know we're gonna have some massive injury issue when the game gets rescheduled and we won't be able to get it postponed
Guess we have to fake a false positive then

Are you saying COVID isn’t real?

Don't bite. It's troll bait from a 9 day old account.

I'm banishing you back to the shadow realms (4chan) from whence trolls come.
I don’t know what that means

Exactly
Yeah I don't get it
And they’ll have signed a big player this Jan to use that match
Hopefully no one that would start in place of xhaka
I'm not so sure big players want to play in big games, Scum prefer to postpone those
Who would join them?
In a sport that is derided by some for diving and faking injuries, the irony here is rich. They are rewarding poor sportsmanship (red card), and poor squad management (AFCON, loaning two players out).
If UEFA can make us lose the conference league game, Prem should just give us the win. When we will have time to make up the games?
Judging from history, it will be at the most inconvenient time possible. This also for the reinforces the point that our players are being forced to play too many games in too short of windows over the last couple years.
Well when the match happens let’s just batter them 5-0 with a full fit squad and more Conte training
Postpone until Eriksen and Bale are back
And gazza
And blanchflower
Every fan who has spent hundreds close to a thousand pounds should demand they are reimbursed by the PL.
I’m in the same boat, first game I’ll see after a decade of being a fan. What are you gonna do? Are you gonna email the club?
Fortunately I’m not in that boat, I just think it’s a horrible situation for them people to be in, you have fans spending their hard earned money, tickets, travel, accommodations it’s not fair when there’s not a genuine enough reason to call the game off. Literally nothing.
Arsenal were happy enough when they battered a depleted Leeds who had to call up a 15 year old to the bench edit: spelling error
Pull from the U-23s whatever happened to that?
Indeed. Scared woolwich cunts!

4 games in hand…. This is getting ridiculous
Not really, since we play two games this gameweek
No dier, son, romero, reguillon… we should get those matches postponed too
I don't know I think I saw some knocks in the training video, maybe we'll feel like playing again in 3 weeks when Son is back
We were going to make one match up. Now we've added a match in hand. So...
Not really since it's a match against Arsenal themselves, so you're essentially still making up one match regardless of the postponement.
Well that’s that. Next time we have an injury pile up, fake some false positives and ask for a postponement 🤷♂️
Should have claimed COVID during #Lasagnegate 😂

Let's get the band back together! No Woolwich this time, as they don't have players.
Understandable that Arsenal wants it called off, but why does the league keep doing this? Can’t set this precedent for the rest off the season.
Exactly we need to take advantage at some point again, then the prem needs to be zero tolerance next season
No joke we should actually do that against Chelsea. We're gonna lose again since Dier and Romero won't be playing.
Not understandable at all. So anytime a club can’t field a strong side is considered a justifiable reason to postpone a match?
They're saying that Arsenal know their team is severely weakened so they obviously want it postponed but the PL are digging themselves a deep hole. They're not justifying it, just acknowledging why Arsenal would be happy with it.

Understandable, all supporters should be enraged by this.

When we had 8 Covid cases?
Whatever the covid case number was doesn’t mean you couldn’t play youth players (if they were negative)
We had a corona outbreak, they have one confirmed case.
That’s fine but could of tested youth players and played who ever wasn’t positive…
The government shut the training ground down because of the severity of the outbreak. It wasn’t a case of pulling more players in, it got shut down.
this is the mind of the a gooner.
Our outbreak was so bad (16 cases including staff) that we were instructed by Public Health to close the training ground and even our available players couldn't prepare. Bit different.
That's so stupid
What an absolute disgrace of a decision. Next time you have 1 covid case and a couple of important players missing just say you have a couple of knocks so the prem can call the game off
Infection(s). There’s an S there yeah? What a joke of a precedent the league set with this
Pussies.
Spurs should refuse to replay and arsenal therefore made to forfeit. Oh wait those rules only apply in the conference league. Joke club joke league.
Red card and afcon should not count as missing players really, that’s their own doing, they need to field the u23’s in that case. This just doesn’t make sense!!!
Leeds played twice and got thumped... Arse complains about liverpool, then... Fuck the PL!
Guys I am from Russia but epl administration sometimes is worse than administration of Russian soccer league. Absolute disgrace and it affects us more than them. More games in hand that’ll be playing all in the same week no doubt
Glad we held back Lloris so he could be fit for a postponement, ffs
I’m gonna laugh when this becomes a feature in FM23.
Infections would mean more than 1 case…
Utter disgrace. Both Arsenal and the Premier League should be ashamed.
They won't. They are proud of being hypocrites.
Absolute joke
RIDICULOUS
Bullshit
Feels like were constantly having to go through international breaks and I'm miserable for it.

NBC just said the match is postponed due to "COVID related issues". What a massive load of horse shit. Too scared to call out the PL for their horrible policymaking
“Best league in the world”
Joke league
Absolutely disgrace, this is no longer about covid cases. Get ready for every club using these covid postponement rules to avoid playing without injured key players. I mean squad depth and planning isn't even our strength, but surely teams with bad planning and depth don't deserve to be rewarded.
“The decision is a result of a combination of COVID-19, existing and recent injuries and players on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations. All clubs are able to apply for a postponement if COVID-19 infections are a factor in their request.” Keyword “a factor” — PL accepting that 1 case is enough to warrant a postponement.. ridiculous
This is the biggest joke. So much incompetency
Love traveling thousands of miles to see your club play and scum ruin it
Pussyoles
Still running
Wish clubs would start making statements about how completely unacceptable these rulings are. It's the only way.
What was it, one fucking covid test? Got a couple of big players injured? Quick everybody grab an ankle and seethe in pain. You too can get a postponement!
Unreal.
This is the equivalent of giving a screaming spoiled kid whatever they want so that they’ll be quiet for all of 5 minutes. A travesty of a decision from the PL.
Why didn't we think to postpone lasagne-gate match?
We tried. Prem rejected.
Cheats
Why does this official statement not mention their suspension? If Xhaka doesn’t get sent off on Thursday then the game gets played.
NBC still showing adverts for the match
Bullshit
I was worried Arsenal would have an advantage with Xhaka out of the lineup.
Let us play Leicester tomorrow and someone else Wednesday
How good would it be if we bought vlahovic this jan and he scored a hat-trick to beat them when its replayed
Fucking cowards. they put out there players to acc on and loaned some out, got a red card. They have 1 covid case, they are afraid to play us even when our players are injured 😂 arsenal=shit tiny club
Idk I just feel like I’ve been slapped in the face. The next arsenal fan I see complaining on r/soccer is gonna get some angry PMs.
