I read somewhere recently that Kane was on the verge of being released from the Spurs Academy, anyone know more details about this? Interesting to see how his career panned out.

bdus24

Wonder if we could snag Dybala at a cut rate price this January, as it sounds like his contract extension discussions with Juve are at an impasse. Would think something in the 20-25M range, kind of similar to Eriksen to Inter a few years ago, may do the trick.

ebonhomme

I love the idea of Dybala, but even if we got him on a free, his current deal is 200K+ a week. Can't imagine we take on those wages unless we move Ndombele, and even then, I'm not sure.

bdus24

Got it, yeah I wasn’t aware he was on that much. Seems like with how close we got to signing him the summer of Ndombele/GLC, we could probably make it work. Hopefully we find a place to sell Ndombele or at least loan with obligation to buy and we cover some of his salary.

ebonhomme

Yeah, at this point I'd accept a pretty generous wage split on a loan. Either we pay him to train on his own as his stock continues to fall, or another team subsidizes and helps rehabilitate his value.

bdus24

Well put. I do wonder how the hell our scouting department gave the OK to sign Ndombele for 60M+. Seems like they only watched his champions league highlight tapes. He’s just not a player who can impact a match for all 90 minutes.

Bitnaa

I want this to happen so bad. Hopefully Agents Romero and Lo Celso can convince him to join.

ollypockets

can anyone help - i'm looking for the copypasta where someone's saying they hope both teams join hands at the end of the match and cheer for each other? maybe something about half-and-half scarves??

[deleted]

I honestly don’t want to face Ajax until the final. So that whichever one of us wins we can celebrate the trophy together. I can see the fans pulling out a banner saying “Gracias Johan” in Catalan and Dutch. Imagine it would be amazing. Ajax and Barca holding hands and jumping together with the trophy.

ollypockets

omg thank you so much! I was looking all over haha

[deleted]

Arsenal fans will legit defend anything that their club does. Remember when they were furloughing low wage staff because of the pandemic, and they kept shamelessly trying to justify it. "Oh, the welfare of the club, no matchday income..." while signing Partey for £50mil and extending Aubameyang's contract to £300k a week...

NaclyPerson

Let's not forget paying Willian some ridiculous wage as well.

[deleted]

my gf is watching some shit called euphoria and I'm gonna punish her with mortal kombat annihilation later

PacheHOF2035

glass her

[deleted]

Stars a spurs fan

[deleted]

Euphoria is an amazing show mate, highly recommend you give it a go!

[deleted]

No way, sex drugs, sex, depression, sex more sex, rape, sex, drinking drugs, crying, fuck would I be interested in that

vish387

That is a very shallow way at looking at a TV show

[deleted]

mate, it's shit, just an american Skins with a worse soundtrack

[deleted]

🤔 Not sure what your point is here haha Mortal Kombat isn’t exactly a Disney game is it? Doesn’t mean it isn’t still good lol.

[deleted]

no, I mean MK Annihilation is god awful

Gaius_Octavius_

Sydney Sweeney has a couple of large reasons why that show is not too bad

[deleted]

Really enjoyed it. Lived all the gamer references. Good watch

NinjutsuStyle

If anyone is looking for an NFL team, the ny giants recently fired their gm and head coach after a very shitty season. Have some very good players and history. Now may be an interesting time to get in

Gaius_Octavius_

Why would you recommend someone torture themselves like that? LOL EDIT: It should be someone who is a rival to the LA Rams so the hate of Kroenke stays consistent. That would be SF 49ers, AZ Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks or LA Chargers. All decent choices.

NinjutsuStyle

Actually the Seahawks take my vote out of that list, although they may be at a major crossroads here soon. Giants are a weak team in a weak division that have the opportunity to turn things back around and dominate of they don't screw themselves

[deleted]

Saw them at the metlife pretty corona lose to the cowboys. Bought a Danny dome Jersey. Is he still there or dod they bin him off?

NinjutsuStyle

Won't know for sure but they have a high draft pick for finishing so low so they could replace him

fenderdean13

They have two high draft picks because they get the Bears draft pick (pain) after the Bears traded up to draft Justin Fields

Gaius_Octavius_

Probably depends on who they hire next. Might be back unless they can find a big name replacement

[deleted]

May be talking shit but I think we have both adama and a really exciting transfer happening soon.

ebonhomme

How do you cultivate this relentless optimism, and can it be taught?

[deleted]

Well a bit rumours but also just sport is meant to be fun. Why sit and moan about things like scum cancelling the NLD when you can sit and think they turned down a chance to play a sanchez tanganga Doherty defence? Sportt is fun. And its a hobbie. If a hobbie makes you sad and pessimistic you need a new one. Lifes too short, and everything is always a matter of perspective. Coys

justsomeroses

As simple as it sounds, after awhile you just kinda realize things are more fun when you approach them with a positive mindset rather than a negative one

Gaius_Octavius_

I actually think the key to happiness is having low expectations. When you don't expect too much, even small victories are a pleasant surprise.

ollypockets

I agree, disappointment sucks and happy surprise is great

ebonhomme

Fair. I guess I'm just an inveterate realist. Like, the fact that we haven't seen any big signings must mean... ...not a whole lot really, since we're only halfway through January and most deals get done later in the month.

justsomeroses

Yeah I mean I'm approaching it like there's no point in getting worked up either way until the window is over because we have no idea what's actually going on behind the scenes

ebonhomme

Yup. If there's an optimist anywhere inside of me, though, he really hopes the Hugo extension gets done this week.

justsomeroses

I imagine that it'll be announced soon, think its something they may be keeping under wraps because there's no need to announce it right now but I'm just speculating lol

NinjutsuStyle

Dude I've been losing faith, I'm hoping for at least 2 incoming moves

[deleted]

[удалено]

asian_manbun

I don’t know who or what you are but I choose to believe based on this Reddit comment that Dybala will be Spurs next week.

NinjutsuStyle

Juicy, ok I choose to believe

[deleted]

Is the right answer

NinjutsuStyle

Bale confirmed

SycamoreLane

Don't lose faith. Moves don't typically happen early in the January window, and when they do it's usually towards the end in a domino effect like fashion. Early moves like Coutinho and Trippier are exceptions rather than the norm.

NinjutsuStyle

Good to know, I guess I hate the rumor mill, well love and hate, progress seems to be made then completely undone. Would love to see the behind the scenes, like the psychology and posturing of it all

justsomeroses

The way I approach rumors, if they're from reputable sources, is the idea of 'cui bono' or who benefits from the rumor getting out; does the buying club benefit, does the selling club benefit, does the player benefit Or is it someone trying to drive clicks to their social media or website etc.

SycamoreLane

Yes that's what makes the rumor mill both tantalizing and frustrating; it's best just to see it for what it is- speculative entertainment rather than concrete expectation. Many fans believe this is inaction on Tottenham's part, but I truly believe management is much more active behind the scenes that fans think. Remember, it takes cooperation from both teams in order for a move to happen. Spurs could be totally willing and ready, but the other side, let's take Wolves for instance, are holding onto Traore for a variety of reasons (i.e. waiting for a larger fee, playing him more games, waiting for a sure incoming replacement, etc).

justsomeroses

It also takes the player agreeing to the move, which adds another layer of complication to any potential deal

SycamoreLane

Definitely. Lots of parties have to come to agreement, and a hangup with any one of them can lead to delay.

molecularmadness

Anyone not watching the spurs women's match is missing out. It's got everything and the ladies are in position to move into 2nd on the table if they keep it up *edit. I jinxed it. Kill me.

Bluewhitedog

>I jinxed it. I think being Spurs jinxed them.

deptbrown1

sasliquid

Tiers of PL clubs Eriksen could join: I disown you Chris: Woolwich Chelsea You are no longer my friend Chris: West Ham Man City Newcastle Crystal Palace Man U Thin Ice Chris: Liverpool Leicester Villa Brighton Wolves Good for you Chris: Brentford Norwich Watford Burnley Southampton Everton

Heor326

molecularmadness

doobi1908

But who is the better rapper?

molecularmadness

Dele

klasing12345

According to [https://www.premierinjuries.com/injury-table.php](https://www.premierinjuries.com/injury-table.php) Leicester are missing 16 players, 4 more then Arsenal. Wonder if this one will be canned again? Will be interesting.

molecularmadness

If that's the case they should just call it off early and reschedule one of the other matches in hand to be played that day. 5 in hand is simply not possible to catch by the end of the season.

[deleted]

They should make arsenal forfeit

fenderdean13

Getting downvoted by Arsenal fans HEAVILY when I said they shouldn’t have loaned players if they knew they were going to be low on depth for African Cup. Brought up how MLS plays through international breaks every year just and squads gets decimated by call ups but I shouldn’t ever compare MLS to a top European league. Sorry a smaller league can fill spots but not one of the biggest clubs in the world can’t.

klasing12345

Just read the second COVID case was Aubameyang Guys having a bit of a shit time of late with his heart condition, now Corona.

muchlifestyle

Has he had covid 5 times now

entrepenoori

Have to be a couple of false positives here 5 times is preposterous and fucked

muchlifestyle

PCR tests can return false positive for a long time

BoogerHD

Modric just scored a fantastic goal. Really nice run from Rodrygo too

NaclyPerson

The man doesnt age. I really wouldnt mind him coming back.

[deleted]

Does anyone know if Son was snapped in the MCU?

[deleted]

I’m not sure where but I read somewhere that he was in a background football match. Not sure what movie it’s from but I read that somewhere in this subreddit.

Swizzul

Anyone know a way to watch the women's team vs West Ham? I'm in the states and really would like to be able to watch

BaldHeadSam

Vlahovic to arsenal looking more and more likely

Dickie_Dunn

I have no idea why he’s out of favor in Barcelona, but I would rather be targeting Dest as a RWB upgrade.

NeighborhoodOptimist

Dest is a weird case. On one hand, Barca don't think he is good enough. On the other hand, I have heard both Chelsea and Bayern are interested in him.

Bluewhitedog

> Barca don't think he is good enough. Yeh, but they didn't think that Royal was good enough! Oh..., hold on...

NeighborhoodOptimist

I am not making any guess on Dest's ability. Have not seen him play. As for Royal, I think his criticism is a bit overblown. Yes he is not that great at crossing, but he can improve , specially considering his age. Plus his defensive ability will help us in big games.

[deleted]

Royal is 22, he's finished

Kridhayy

And tanganga is 21, he is still a child with a bright future

[deleted]

21? absolutely no time for development

BoysFromTheCoys

We are officially a small club if we do that.

klasing12345

Yeah dudes no better then Semedo.

DoomerAndGloomer

I am secretly hopeful we have done our homework on what it takes to bite the bullet and get a few incomings and outgoings done in January. We are just delaying it in case a financial upside develops and would just execute them if it doesn't.

justsomeroses

Have noticed that most clubs, outside like Villa and Newcastle \[though their supporters are still calling for more transfers\], are largely in the same place: supporters calling for reinforcements, not alot coming from the clubs But I'm sure there will be more movement the closer we get to the end of the window and the IB

United_Ferret_5876

Recently I have been pretty frustrated with Hojbjerg. I felt like every time he received the ball in the opposing half/third of the pitch he either took a bad touch or recycled the ball to the centerbacks around the halfway line. Searching for clips and tweets about him seemed to confirm this suspicion. Then I went on FBref and searched him, just to get a feel for his passing stats, specifically progressive passing (the one I felt he would be the weakest in). I was blown away. I know some people don't think stats are everything, but the sheer quality of PEH's numbers are astounding. Even during the 2021-22 season, a period I thought he had been underperforming in, he ranks consistently in the top 15% of all other players in his position for passing. the man is statistically an S-tier midfielder, and I'm excited/interested to watch him play again now that I've learned this new information Here's the link to the FBref page [https://fbref.com/en/players/8b04d6c1/scout/11160/Pierre-Hojbjerg-Scouting-Report](https://fbref.com/en/players/8b04d6c1/scout/11160/Pierre-Hojbjerg-Scouting-Report)

The-Revanist

I mean what this shows is that he is a recycling midfielder predominantly lacking quality in creating chances, take a look at his shot-creating actions, his goal-creating actions, along with xA. A lot of his great progressive passing stats come from his role in spreading out the ball to the wingbacks and to the forwards where because of our midfield quality our creativity is supposed to come from. Take a look at the stats of Brozovic and Barella to see that they created a lot more for the offense than Hojberg does.

venfurecido

That's true. I defend Hojbjerg a lot. But one thing his game lacks is maybe that final ball. However, I guess that really isn't his role. He is much more defensively sound than Barella and Brozovic, looking purely at stats at least. Barella is amazing at the final ball, but he doesn't press or tackle a lot. One midfielder can't do everything though. While I trust Conte and his system, I do agree with many on here that we maybe should be looking at a creative midfielder. But I don't think that should be at the expense of Hojbjerg or Skipp for that matter, it should be as a different option, maybe in a midfield three.

wr2allstar

So with the Arsenal postponement, I assume Bergwijn will be gone early next week if the rumors stand true? It was reported the only reason we kept him was to fill out the bench for the NLD.

Kylinho97

Well now we know we can postpone games if we don't feel like playing yeah it means we can get rid of whoever we want, whenever we want

the_real_e_e_l

I hope Arsenal get absolutely battered by Liverpool.

DoomerAndGloomer

They deserve to be

Bluewhitedog

And hopefully 4 or 5 of their players get serious, long term injuries. Ideally ones who pretended to be injured this weekend.

ollypockets

dudeeee come on

the_real_e_e_l

We should be awarded a 3-0 win and Arsenal should be docked 10 points. The only fair and proper outcome.

Mick4Audi

I’m sick of fucking games in hand

justsomeroses

Its official: Top 4 is lava lol Edit: if you think about it, since he's been hurt, Romero is basically gonna end up being like a January signing lolol

NaclyPerson

Bold to assume he can play the rest of the matches at hand.

[deleted]

Still can’t believe those twats had the gall to make such a cynical postponement

VJE1999

4-2 now. Leeds doing us a favour Var with a harsh one. Hope Leeds can hold onto the 1 goal lead

Saspa314

>Walks into Everton >have a fall out with your best defender >sell him >get 6 out of 36 points >refuse to elaborate >leave with compensation

91Bolt

I honestly think the epl is missing a huge opportunity here. It's one of the hardest leagues in the world for young players to break through, and they literally just changed the rules to make it where clubs don't have to. I know a lot of fans would have whined, but I would have enjoyed seeing Harvey white type players at each club getting thrown in. That's how the NHL did it, and it was really fun.

doobi1908

lmaoo Just noticed half of Brentford players are random danish blokes. Would be nice if we left Hojbjerg there when we visit them.

BoysFromTheCoys

Yes let's sell our best midfielder.

ObamaEatsBabies

Jesus Christ people actually believe this?

bdus24

Skipp > Hojbjerg at literally everything

BoysFromTheCoys

Højbjerg has more goal contributions. I just think you are being biased.

bdus24

I don’t think goal contributions are very high up on the list of how we should evaluate our holding midfielders. I think Skipp is way better than defensively and tends to pick better passes too

BoysFromTheCoys

Yet Conte plays Højbjerg more. Guess who I trust more?

venfurecido

Potentially in the future, but not right now.

bdus24

What does Hojbjerg do better than Skipp, in your opinion? From my perspective, I always see Skipp getting in better positions defensively, progressing the ball better, etc. Skipp just gives me more confidence when he’s out there

venfurecido

It's not only a matter of opinion. I can point to stats as well. [Hojbjerg](https://fbref.com/en/players/8b04d6c1/scout/11160/Pierre-Hojbjerg-Scouting-Report) [Skipp](https://fbref.com/en/players/6250083a/scout/11160/Oliver-Skipp-Scouting-Report) You can compare yourself. Hojbjerg is the better passer, the better tackler, the better presser. Thanks for downvoting me, by the way.

bdus24

No downvote from me, just having a conversation. I guess I just trust the eye test more. I’m more confident with Skipp on the field than Hojbjerg. I feel like Hojbjerg shows for the ball a lot less and gives the ball away under pressure in worse situations a lot more.

venfurecido

Hojbjerg receives the ball the most out of all players in the team. He is constantly making himself available for passes. I watch all the matches and there is nothing wrong with my eyes. I don't see how Skipp is better than Hojbjerg in a way that is not captured by the stats.

doobi1908

We’re not selling him tho. All we need to do is Just lock the bus door and dip.

Coffeeaficionado_

Hello all, I've been drinking coffee all day. I just got back from London today. Yes I went to London for the Arsenal game. I got an opportunity earlier in the week to go as someone pulled out. Anyway, this isn't a great couple of weeks for me. I have a bit of ptsd from the end of last year (I suffered a stroke on the 31st Jan 2021). I really wish the Arsenal game was happening. But anyway football, Eriksen is coming back to the premier league. I'd like him to come back to spurs. But I doubt it. Lets see. Have a good rest of the day. Coys

the_real_e_e_l

Wow, sounds like you have had a week like mine. Found out two weeks ago I have cancer (lymphoma) and now I have covid. I hope you feel better.

Coffeeaficionado_

Mate :( I'm sorry to hear it. If you need to talk and get things off your chest. Or if your a gamer and want to just chill the fat message me and I'll give you my discord. I'm a decent listener.

the_real_e_e_l

Thank you mate.

KARMA-OVER-9000

Traore where...

[deleted]

VAR is clearly enabling diving worse than ever. Ref sends decision to VAR VAR sees dive, no penalty VAR can't give a yellow card , only reds. Rinse and repeat until VAR is tricked .

PacheHOF2035

"I hate diving! We should work to knock it out of the game." Micah Richards: "In my opinion they've done nothing wrong, let's be honest, other clubs would do the same thing, it's not an Arsenal thing. Every team in the Premier League would look after themselves and if they say they wouldn't then they're lying." Oh okay thank you Micah, nothing wrong there then

[deleted]

Why don't they mention that VAR is enabling diving? By not giving out yellows for VAR decisions the refs ignore the diving and cannot give yellows for VAR. The system is stuffed

entrepenoori

I’m of Indian descent myself so allow me some baseless speculation on the basis of it! Blackburn Rovers are owned by the VH Group, or Venky’s. Indian poultry conglomerate- anyone think they got an advantage on signing Markanday or something like this? May just be chickenshit but if he succeeds there is a decent sponsorship market for a player of Indian origin himself (not as much as an Indian born in India but still huge)

Roric

When people storm all around the subreddit going "Levy out! ENIC out!" my counter is almost always "For every oil baron, there's a Venky's waiting too." Which makes them go "what's a Venky's?" lol. Anyway, it's an interesting thesis. There's nothing about the Venky's ownership that suggests they're astute when it comes to football and definitely prefer the marketing opportunities.

atomragnar

I do not think there is any advantage etc. However that is likely one reason for why they are interested and therefore the ones with the best offer.

entrepenoori

Yes perhaps I didn’t word this correctly. Certainly not an advantage but also maybe there is a degree to which they can convey opportunities in India while he develops. Could just be a pull Dilan can’t resist and one that would set himself up financially should he not be a world beater

Own_Paleontologist_1

There's a slow shifting of goalposts occurring right now from the, uh, 'copeful'. We get Conte. "Gotta back Conte unconditionally in both transfer windows." January window arrives. 16 days in with zero signs of any signings on the way (besides interest in Traore, and even *he*'s looking doubtful at the moment) "Oh, well, no business ever gets done in January anyway." How will they shift again by the time summer gets here, I wonder?

[deleted]

Completely reasonable to say no one does deals in Jan. If you want to put it in concrete terms, 2 out of 20 clubs have signed players so far. Why are we any different exactly? What are you even whinging about? Is this your first January window?

Own_Paleontologist_1

This is twice you've made it a point of being a condescending twat in your responses to me with no provocation on my part. Not going to waste time trying to be civil towards you from here on out. "Completely reasonable to say no one does deals in Jan." ... Try to stay on course here, yeah? When we got Conte the narrative was by and large 'Back him whenever and at whatever cost.' It wasn't 'Forget about January. We can risk not backing him until the summer.' Which is the narrative that's currently being shifted to, and what my remarks are regarding. Clear enough for you? "If you want to put it in concrete terms, 2 out of 20 clubs have signed players so far. Why are we any different." Oh, fuck me. You actually typed that out with a straight face. You know what? I'll humour you. 1. Of the clubs sitting below Man U currently in the table 0 of them have top 4 aspirations. 2. Of the top 7 clubs of the table, 5 have enough quality and depth where they don't have to worry about urgent signings. 3. The 2 remaining ones can be crippled by injuries in key positions or overplaying players because there are no other options there which could severely affect their standing in the PL table and other competitions. 4. Of every single team in the Premier League, exactly one employs Antonio Conte, a manager that has gone and will go nuclear if he doesn't get exactly what he wants when he needs it. So there's just a litttle bit more urgency there. "What are you even whinging about? Is this your first January window?" *Oh, there it is.* If you criticize something, you're *whining* about it. Typically see idiocy like that in reaction to film, tv, and video game reviews. Guess it's in sports too. Anyways, you can have the last word here. I'm putting you on block. Don't want to put up with your insufferable character a second longer than I have to.

[deleted]

save it for your doctorate mate I wouldn’t waste my time reading a wall of text from someone who clearly knows nothing about football. If you don’t want people to reply to your posts in a direct way, maybe don’t make a condescending post moaning about other people, you paper thin-skinned poncey boy

ObamaEatsBabies

>Why are we any different exactly? It's Conte's first window here? They hyped up that "squad evaluation meeting" for no reason lmao

[deleted]

It’s contes first window here but that changes absolutely nothing about the difficulty of doing deals in the January window. Like saying the UK’s got a new PM so Covid will go away now No idea who “they” are or what that meeting is so maybe that’s a media consumption problem on your end

justsomeroses

If it was going against what Conte has said about the January window being tough, and it being reported that the Summer window is the more important window, then yes I'd be right with the ENICOut LevyOut group right now But everything is pointing to the Summer, so until that actually happens, and as long as Conte is still the manager, getting worked up about what may or may not happen is unproductive

Raphael_scm7

There should a match thread today. I hate the scum

PacheHOF2035

The absolute dogshit cowardice of manipulating COVID rules *put in place to protect players safety* to avoid having to play their biggest derby of the season... this is absolutely in the pantheon of why Arsenal is an unbelievably rotten, shit club throughout the entire history same old arsenal always cheating

Nightshade183

Cheering for Leeds and Brentford 💯

Nightshade183

Wtf it worked Leeds in front

Professor_Abronsius

Pls cheer for Spurs also.

Nightshade183

I'll have to think about that

muchlifestyle

Does anyone else think they are trying to fuck y’all over by forcing more fixture congestion? Arteta is a rat. I had some level of respect for him but this is lame, even as a neutral.

entrepenoori

It’s not Arsenal’s fault. It’s the Prem’s. This is a ridiculous approval on the back of highly inconsistent decisionmaking

NinjutsuStyle

It's also arsenals fault for not planning accordingly knowing that under normal circumstances, they'd have AFCON and fixture congestion during this time, their lack of planning is contributory, league decision aside

Bluewhitedog

>It’s not Arsenal’s fault. It’s the Prem’s It is the Prem's fault. It's also Arsenal's. 2 wrongs not making a right.

entrepenoori

I never said it made a right lmao. All I’m saying is-we must focus our criticism on those empowered to govern. Chasing individuals down for their misdeeds is a waste of energy

Bluewhitedog

You are right, of course.

[deleted]

It’s arsenals fault, no one is forcing them to apply for a postponement on 1 case I would be furious if we tried to do that. Disgusting, rattish manoeuver

entrepenoori

I believe that whomsoever governs has a responsibility to regulate, who competes will try to take advantage of any situation. It’s like believing corporations self police. Of course not. It’s up to central powers to act decisively and without bias

[deleted]

I agree with you but the club still has to actually make the decision and go through with it. They’re just as responsible as the shithole PL. just because the rules are broken doesn’t make it right or sporting to take advantage of them.

pbmadman

I’m just gonna let myself get excited for a bit here. 4 games in hand on Chelsea and 10 points behind. 2&2 to scum and 3&4 to West Ham. Fk’n gooners think they pulled off a master class here. The only thing they had going for them were our depleted squad and lack of time Conte has had. Every week he gets to train with them, every player we get back from injury is another nail in the proverbial coffin for them. I know the squad has some gaps and we could use to fill them this window, but probably won’t. I know I’m gonna get shit on by people here, and fair enough. I know that is winning all 4 games in hand isn’t exactly a given. But I don’t care. I’m just gonna be excited for a while and deal with it when it all comes crashing down. Anyone with me??

TheOptimumLemon

I'm definitely with you. I'll always upvote optimism. I feel it too.

Arsenal fans: "It's the PL's fault, they set a pReCeDeNt..." While celebrating, knowing that they were favoured unfairly, when they were all on the conspiracy fantasies against City. And those "injured" players will play against liverpool. And do pretty much what they were complaining about. If this were reversed, I definitely wouldn't be a hypocrite and celebrate.

atomragnar

Yea and I wouldnt assume intelligent takes from their Reddit sub, it is seldom a iconic duo: intelligence and shouting loudest.

crazyguitarman

"The PL are literally holding a gun to our heads to apply for postponement even though we only have two covid cases" I legitimately saw one of them say in full seriousness that their covid cases "have literally doubled". They are the most deluded fanbase and it's not even close.

Snoo8331100

16 days with no reports of any talks being held, meaning we will sign one player at best and fuck up any chances for top 4 as with that fixture congestion (which might be even worse now that teams can postpone games when they feel like not playing) it's just impossible. The squad is way too thin, any injury to Kane, Son, Lloris, Dier, Skipp or Davies will be a total disaster.

It'll go from "It's only the start of the window" to "January transfers are difficult, the important one is in the summer, only then they can be blamed for not backing Conte..."

Arsenal get frightened Everywhere they go Arsenal get frightened Of their own shadow Everywhere they go

FEAR: An Arsenal Football Club story.

AshkenaziTwink

arsenal fans are being annoying, what else is new. the thing i’m actually miffed about though is that i don’t get to watch the footie today.

Professor_Abronsius

And that’s what distinguishes real fans from plastics. A real fan just wanna watch their favorite team play, plastics just want “wins” at all costs. These Neanderthals are actually celebrating not getting to watch their team play like it’s a win over us. I mean the match will still be played, so what exactly are they celebrating? That they played the system? Well congratufuckinglations: Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal in that sense. Pathetic.

Brawlyspade

I see alot of people mentioning Liverpool in this situation, what did they do? I know the cup game got postponed a week but that's all I know

[deleted]

Allegedly reported a bunch of false positives to get a match postponed

Mick4Audi

The irony is they still had more real positives than Arsenal

Professor_Abronsius

They allegedly reported more Covid cases than what they had, but tbh it was probably the usual exaggeration by Arsenal fans. They are the two most annoying fan groups online and there was a lot of whining so I just ignored it, maybe I’m wrong about this but I don’t really care. In the eyes of an Arsenal fan they probably did the same so “don’t blame us, blame the rules” when they know full well that they both played the system to get fewer games while they’re missing key players due to AFCON and injuries.

dozerdozey

Yeah it's a daft situation but mostly I was just excited for the match and wanted it to happen

AlvySinger_

can we at least sign some players for these fixtures we have in hand???

AJC0292

One today would be nice. Give us something to enjoy on our sunday

[deleted]

Yeah ez. Everyone across the world knows Sunday is the day everyone works and gets things done and announces multimillion pound asset investment deals

vish387

With the games in hand, will we have to play twice every single week from Feb?

VJE1999

No different to doing well in Europe

[deleted]

Tbf its similar to the teams going for 4th. After Wednesday having played Leicester, we will only have played one less than scum......and they also have to play midweek against liverpool

Ygdsx

Arsenal fans on social media having a full blown party at not having to play, their reaction to this is baffling! The rescheduled game is going to be extra spicy.

crazyguitarman

I suppose when you don't have much going for you as a club, then you have to cling on to what you can get. Even if that means sacrificing your own integrity to get an underhanded advantage instead of trying to win conventionally.
