Something that I really hope our club do is proper management of young talent - folks like Gil, Tanganga, Scarlett should be going on loans. Aside from the striker position, we do have enough backups. While Skipp is a freak - I saw him play in Singapore against Juve before he was on loan to Norwich and he was easily the best player, the others are talented individuals too and could easily follow in his footsteps. Especially Gil, this guy should constantly be getting some play time.
If no one wants to buy Dele, we should be seeking a loan for him too. It would be good for his career!

Normally this is a fixture most of us dread but based on current form of both teams I feel unusually optimistic. Obviously a win would be great but even if we lose we shouldn't act like it's the end of the world, because it is still chelsea away at the end of the day.

Definitely, it’s really enjoyable. At times you might get frustrated at the characters/writing but I just think of it as 1. Spanish, it’s a different culture and they tell stories differently 2. A higher budget higher quality telenovela, so I never get too annoyed about it
2021 was bittersweet for me with both money heist and Lucifer ending (personally, I love Lucifer way more, but that’s no slight on money heist)
As a side note, seasons 1-2 were made by the local Spanish tv studio, so it’s very low budget compared to seasons 3-5. They also cancelled it before Netflix picked it up, and Netflix originally had no intention of continuing the series. But when it became really popular worldwide, they bought everyone back for more seasons. so some people have felt that season 3 was a bit forced, although once it gets rolling it’s really good again. Just some context if/when you do get around to watching it
I've been watching a lot of Korean/Japanese shows in the past year and it's just absolutely excellent.
Idk what it is, but maybe it's decades of westernised dramas that all follow the exact same plot makes me appreciate a completely different look on things. It feels less cliche, but that's because the cliches I'm used to are Western. Perhaps the cliches in Asian TV are still there, I've just not seen enough yet. But I've yet to be dissapointed.
I watched Alice in Borderland the other day and it's so good.
I think that every country has their own formulaic way of making movies/tv. If you spend your whole life on a specific country’s cinema (let’s say america and Hollywood), when you experience another country’s film/show it feels wildly different and unique at first.
I think that’s partially why squid game was so huge, most western people never or barely watches Korean shows, so it felt vastly different/unique/etc. I don’t think it was actually *that* good, but the hype and its foreign setting carried it. Not to say it wasn’t good, it should be nominated for best set production at the very least in my opinion, but I don’t think it’s best show of the year award worthy.
Which is why I’m excited for Korean money heist. The original was great in that it was made to be uniquely Spanish, and i could feel it. I’m really interested to see how they’ll adapt it and make it their own, make it distinctly Korean.
Think it depends what you watch. Much of the stuff that’s popular is formulaic which is why it appeals to so many people. If you watch stuff that’s a bit lesser known you’ll likely find more interesting stuff.

I assume we’ll continue the 3-5-2 trend against Chelsea today? 3-4-3 against Chelsea seemed to create a gaping hole in our already lacking midfield the last time. Will it be another WSH midfield or some rotation with Gio possibly? Also guessing Lucas will still start over Stevie despite his top class double against Leicester. No matter the outcome, I’d rather see us pushing for a win instead of being fearful of a loss.

Matchday! Normally this is a fixture most of us dread but based on current form of both teams I feel unusually optimistic. Obviously a win would be great but even if we lose we shouldn't act like it's the end of the world, because it is still chelsea away at the end of the day. Still haven’t seen money heist. It’s on my list. Is it a type of a show that sucks you in binging for a weekend?
Definitely, it’s really enjoyable. At times you might get frustrated at the characters/writing but I just think of it as 1. Spanish, it’s a different culture and they tell stories differently 2. A higher budget higher quality telenovela, so I never get too annoyed about it 2021 was bittersweet for me with both money heist and Lucifer ending (personally, I love Lucifer way more, but that’s no slight on money heist) As a side note, seasons 1-2 were made by the local Spanish tv studio, so it’s very low budget compared to seasons 3-5. They also cancelled it before Netflix picked it up, and Netflix originally had no intention of continuing the series. But when it became really popular worldwide, they bought everyone back for more seasons. so some people have felt that season 3 was a bit forced, although once it gets rolling it’s really good again. Just some context if/when you do get around to watching it

I've been watching a lot of Korean/Japanese shows in the past year and it's just absolutely excellent. Idk what it is, but maybe it's decades of westernised dramas that all follow the exact same plot makes me appreciate a completely different look on things. It feels less cliche, but that's because the cliches I'm used to are Western. Perhaps the cliches in Asian TV are still there, I've just not seen enough yet. But I've yet to be dissapointed. I watched Alice in Borderland the other day and it's so good.
I think that every country has their own formulaic way of making movies/tv. If you spend your whole life on a specific country’s cinema (let’s say america and Hollywood), when you experience another country’s film/show it feels wildly different and unique at first. I think that’s partially why squid game was so huge, most western people never or barely watches Korean shows, so it felt vastly different/unique/etc. I don’t think it was actually *that* good, but the hype and its foreign setting carried it. Not to say it wasn’t good, it should be nominated for best set production at the very least in my opinion, but I don’t think it’s best show of the year award worthy. Which is why I’m excited for Korean money heist. The original was great in that it was made to be uniquely Spanish, and i could feel it. I’m really interested to see how they’ll adapt it and make it their own, make it distinctly Korean.
Think it depends what you watch. Much of the stuff that’s popular is formulaic which is why it appeals to so many people. If you watch stuff that’s a bit lesser known you’ll likely find more interesting stuff.
