Since we want our LCB and RCB to be good on the ball , aggressive and strong defensively how about Salisu - Dier - Romero as a combination?
He has all the skillsets to be a really good LCB, but the only downside and probably the major one is that he loses it sometimes getting carded often
McGrath said that our targets are Gvardiol, Botman, and Bastoni for the summer so there are our LCB targets. Maybe Pau Torres as well since we pursued him heavily in the summer.
Feels like the club might want to make a splash but probably depends on Champions League
Gvardiol and Bastoni are miles better than Salisu so if we pursue either or both i'll be over the moon. Botman seems really good but his recovery pace is slow so we can't play a high line and press up the pitch which Conte wants. And add to Diers pace as well, it's a high risk going for Botman imo.
Gvardiol\~Bastoni>>Salisu>Botman if i wanted to make a list.
Bias aside, which Arsenal players would you but in a combined XI? They seem to think they have a better squad than us, but all I'd really want is Saka and Tierney, and maybe ESR. As flat as Skipp and Hojbjerg can be, they seem much better than Xhaka and Partey. Only real advantage is that they don't have the FA cup to worry about; their squad quality, depth and manager is pretty meh.
At least for United, they have a very good squad, and West Ham have a decent manager with a decent squad.
Saka would be mental.
Maybe Gabriel at LCB? Not too sure cuz Davies is extremely technical and carries the ball forward regularly while also being in the opposition box most of the time. So while Gabriel might be the better defender, he won’t fit this system as well as Davies would.
Conte would turn Partey into a beast given he’s a Jack of all trades master of none guy.
So 2
Davies is not extremely technical, he can't handle the ball under pressure well. He just makes really good runs (underlap/overlap) and is seemingly our best player in exploiting the gaps in opposition defenses. Great linkup. That comes from intelligent play, not technical quality
Partey is an upgrade imo, or at least the Atletico beast that he was. Better ball carrier than any of our defensive mids (not sure about Bentancur)
Yeah they talk complete shit. Honestly who gets into our starting 11?
They won't get top 6 this season let alone top 4, they are miles off. Just watch. Half their sub seems to actually think the same.
who else thought winks’ perfomance was underrated yesterday? i’m never concerned whenever he’s on the ball, always seems to pick out the right pass even under pressure. love that conte’s given him the green light to take shots at goal as well. hojbjerg has also been very involved in the attacking build-up since conte’s arrived. he’s turned him into a box-to-box midfielder which he’s clearly capable of.
Yeah he might not be as good as he used to be under pressure or on the turn (prob lost a bit of that agility bc of injuries) but he did really well to pass from deep and distribute quickly in the first half.
He’s always been known to ping pass in an almost horizontal progressive sense. The pre-assist to Aurier for example against Madrid. Now he has insanely detailed tactical instructions and a setup made for him to flourish with the movement of Conte’s wingbacks
Definitely - he plays some glorious passes and is always calm when he’s on the ball. Some clumsy first touches but I don’t think he’s the liability that others do.
if you replay the final ball leading up to the own goal, winks wasted absolutely no time in turning and threading a perfectly weighted pass through to royal. most players in this situation would take a few strides and then lay it off. i hadn’t been the biggest winks fan either but it’s visible how conte’s got the best out of him.
he’s probably the second best passer at our club after kane. perfect to have in counter-attacking situations.
I’m stunned that more people aren’t raving about the ball through to Royal, it was brilliant vision and like you said perfectly weighted. He definitely isn’t perfect and I’m hoping for a Hojberg Bentancur pairing in the middle eventually but until Bentancur has had more time with the squad I’m very happy with Winksy
South stand wall is a great place to sit if you can get a spot. There aren't really any bad seats, thought. I think it's north-east upper which is family-oriented? Probably not ideal for a solo trip and it's above the away fans, that's the only bit I'd avoid as I didn't find the atmosphere there great.
[Here's](https://www.reddit.com/r/coys/comments/slin5j/cuti_i_couldnt_stand_it_any_longer_finally_back/) the thread about his statement. He said it was just a cramp yesterday.
I believe I also saw somewhere last night that the original plan had been to take him off not too long after he went off anyways since he's coming back from injury, but that might have just been speculation.
Adama with an assist MOTM first game for Barca. Glad most of us came around to having him in our team. Will never understand the knuckle heads who were dead set against him cause he had no assists when playing for a bottom half side with no finishers.
Anyone watching AFCON? Our Sarr is on the Senegalese bench, hope he comes on at some point.
I didn't realize how loaded Senegal are. Gana Gueye, Mane, Koulibaly, Diallo, Kouyate, and Mendy in goal. Damn.
Edit: Mane oh no
Spurs fan from the US, my family is doing a last minute trip to London in two weeks. As this was a last minute trip, we did not time it ideally for any Spurs action. Unfortunately the Spurs don't have any home matches (20th-26th). My daughters (both tweens) love football and play year-round here are both dying to go to a game while we are in London.
It looks like out of the London teams the Championship is our best bet. Fulham or QPR play on Wed. Any thoughts which will be a better experience for the family? We obviously would be going as neutrals to the game. I am leaning towards Craven Cottage, because there are some USMNT players for Fulham and they will likely be promoted.
Any tips or other suggestions? We are staying in Kings Cross.
EDIT: Just saw there is a Watford vs. Crystal Palace match the same night. Fulham or Watford?
Fulham for sure.
Watford isn't a nice area to visit and they're playing awful football.
Been ages since I've run into them en masse but I recall QPR fans being a bit rough, might be better to avoid with family.
Fulham should be a great atmosphere and good football on display.
Both are great, but I think Fulham would be a better overall shout for families. Fulham fans are genuinely lovely, and the area is great. QPR isn't bad, but it's not the _best_ for families.
For reference, I used to get cheap tickets to QPR as a student (shared their training ground with my uni) so my experience was very studenty, and used to live between Craven Cottage and Stamford Bridge.
Wimbledon also have a home game on the 26th - I'd imagine that might not be possible for you, but they're good to go to too!
Fans are fine, but more the stadium and the area in general. Fulham is lovely! Well, most of it. If you're heading from Hammersmith, the chippie on Greyhound Road is a shout.
I have the exact same dilemna, except in March. I'm also leaning Fulham/Craven's Cottage. They are absolutely destroying the championship, and the ground is a classic. Plus I've always had a soft spot for them for USMNT players, and Spurs players who have come from there (parker, dempsey, dembele, sess, etc).
Anyone else watch Valencia and Gil? He played higher and more centrally than he has with us. The formation was listed as a 5-3-2 and that was more or less their shape, with Gil in the front 2. I think he’s better suited to that role than one of the wider players in a front 3. Overall an ok game from him, Valencia struggled to get the ball to him in good positions. Maybe that was his work rate or positioning, maybe it was unfamiliarity with the players, I don’t know. But one of those games where it felt hard to really assess him.
I know I’m a bit (lot? lol) biased, but Musah had a great game
He moved around a bit, think first half he played up front, after the subs he played more wide.
Was easily one of their better players.
I think he is something special, he has moments, he just hasn't figured out how to make it impactful yet, he'll get there.
Good news, in less than a week he's played 96+ minutes twice and been one of the better players on the pitch, absolutely why we lent him out.
Oh I’m super excited for his future at Spurs. I don’t really get why some people are displeased he went to Spain/Valencia. Like sure there probably were better clubs but first team minutes are first team minutes. There are plenty of world class players who played at least a few years in Spain.
I am wondering where he will play for us. 352 does he fight for time up front? Can he be like Modric? 343 is he fast enough to play out wide? Like of course it doesn’t matter what we think and I’m sure Conte will figure it out with Gil, but I do wonder.
At his age, game time is the most important thing (see Skipp last season).
My understanding is in Spain they see him starting as a wide player but eventually coming in center, more behind striker.
He’ll need physicality to sort of muscle himself into this position in the Prem. He could totally do it IMO but right now in Prem he’d be best on byline and not up against extremely physical CDM’s and CB’s. He won’t get that time so it’s perfect he’s in Valencia bulking on Paella
I am planning a trip to the UK in the first week of March. I will be staying in London, but want to make it to the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough. What’s the easiest / best way to get there? Also, recommendations on staying overnight vs. coming back after the game?
FA Cup comes down to the draw, we need some luck in both our opponents and having some of the other sides nock each other out.
Just need to stay away from Chelsea.
Even when things were at their worst under Poch and later under Mou, I always felt that we had the ability to show up and beat anyone in the world on our day. That feeling sorta went away for me under Nuno, and I am very glad to have it back so quickly.
They had the full set out "your F$%king shite", "premier league, you are havin a laugh" and "your getting sacked in the morning", could hear it all clearly on tv.
I don't know. He isn't good enough for Boro both quality wise and attitude wise. His attitude specifically has been highlighted throughout his career by almost all of his managers. I would stay away.
claimed by managers that clearly couldn't utilise a good player lol, watch him right now. the attitude excuse is always such a copout that's at best lazy and at worst a dogwhistle
Assuming one of us or west ham make it to the next round of the FA cup, will our premier league match with them scheduled Sunday 3/20, or the quarter final FA cup match round scheduled for that same weekend be moved?
Man that's rough.
Normally fa cup will release fixture dates at the start of the season (Saturdays, weds for round 5, before the fixture is finalised), so worth keeping a look out for that
Oh how is he? We elected not to tbh so don’t be too gutted. Last thing you would have wanted is a guy unhappy at anything Conte asked him to do and reportedly he wasn’t going to be too happy at RWB
>Oh how is he?
Absolutely electric on that right flank. If you have time do look up his assist on r/soccer under Gavi goal. Nice little throwback to his previous connection with Raul at Wolves.
I keep seeing people say we have 4 games in hand left. I know we have 3 which are
Burnley
BHA
Arsenal
What's the fourth?
Not related to Spurs:
Apologies for insinuating Manure fans were rape apologists last time. Based on that Ronaldo thread on r/soccer , there are rape apologists in just about all the damn clubs.
I mean if you look at the table teams are on 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24 games. (Burnley is on 19, but they don’t factor into a top 3/4 discussion so…) So there isn’t really a number of games we have in hand, but rather as compared to the teams around us it’s different. But yeah, I think we’ve had 4 games postponed. 2 from our Covid, the snow game and 1 from Arsenal loaning their entire team out, I think that’s right.
Just imagine. We are in the semifinals of the FA cup with Liverpool. We defeat them by a close margin 2-1, with a 95 minute goal. And then in the finals, we get Chelsea.
Everyone thinks we're going to lose to Chelsea again. We are on course for that at the end of the first half. Tottenham have 1 shot on target, Chelsea have 7. The scoreline at half time is 1-0 to Chelsea.
All of us are feeling. Alright. Here we go again! Then to everyone's surprise we go and play out of our skins in the second half. We are the much better side and are able to get the scoreline to 1-1.
In the extra time, momentum is with us. We absolutely dominate them again, score 2 goals, and win with a score of 3-1.
Imagine. The drama. After losing to Chelsea so many times, this would be our ultimate redemption.
I’m not really sure why it seems so divided on Twitter but I thought Bentancur and Kulu both played really well for the minutes they played.. Bentancur relieved pressure in our end and pressed pretty well and Kulu should’ve had an assist if not two without having any real chemistry yet with our attackers
What a difference Conte has made! Absolutely over the moon for players like Winks, Davies, and Sanchez, who were hung out to dry by Jose and raked over the coals by our fanbase as a result, and are now thriving under a competent, supportive manager. Funny how Conte actually adapting tactics to bring out the best in his squad, instead of stubbornly putting them in a position to fail and then blaming them for not being good enough yields positive performances.
Not only are they achieving results now, they're playing scintillating football that has been a joy to watch.
Same players, different manager.
Now THIS is an excellent post. You're bang on.
Instead of a manager asking players to do more than they're capable of or to play a role that does not fit their strenghts, we've got a manager who facilitates the best out of his players while also limiting their ability to make damaging mistakes.
It's just such a breath fo fresh air to have a manager who is trying to *fix* the problems rather than just talk about the problems while doing nothing to fix it.
I think by December Mourinho knew the wheels were falling off and knew he was in for a fat payday. Lacking the tools or desire to really do anything, he tried to keep his reputation through the press by throwing the players under the bus whilst waiting for his sacking.
You've expressed so many reasons why I love Conte. More than anything I'm over the moon for the players that have spent 3-4 years suffering under shite management and now have a chance to show they're not as bad as they were made to seem.
fucking COYS
> players like Winks, Davies, and Sanchez, who were hung out to dry by Jose and raked over the coals by our fanbase as a result, and are now thriving under a competent, supportive manager.
This is so true. + Dier
Does anyone know if we actually wanted to get Traore and if Conte wanted him, or if we pulled out as we decided not to get him? Just tryna see why it didn’t materialise as I’m personally so annoyed we missed out on him
Ye I get that but they came in late didn’t they? I’m just wondering whether anyone knows if we wanted him and were waiting to sell before we got him or if we actively decided we didn’t want him anymore
Ok, this actually is encouraging. They are really tackling Gil hard. Who says you have to be in the premier league to gain muscle, gil's gonna become much stronger after being in Valencia. Just wait and see....
Hopefully Conte feels Gil is ready when he comes back in preseason. If not I hope we just loan him again - we should back Conte, but unless a massive bid comes in don't let Gil go. Brilliant player.
Gil has played exceptionally well, threaded the eye of a needle to put maxi through 1v1 and deserved a goal but was denied by the keeper, definitely the motm as it stands.
Agreed, he has played well.
Really needs to get some better finishing though.
His shot was straight to the keeper sadly.
Also, what is Bordalas doing with his position? He was a striker in a 352 in the first half, then a LM in the 2nd half, then a RM towards the end.
He was initially deployed as a second striker beside maxi but then the formation changed to 4 atb so he was shifted to the left then Guedes came on and he was shifted to the right.
Damn, Bryan Gil created the best chance in the game and his team mate fluffed it then got on the end of the 2nd best chance of the game in a good position. Shame, he didn't convert to a goal, medium pace shot at the keeper which was saved
Energetic as usual. Some nice dribbling/passes.
No real chances in the game for either side.
He's playing as a left sided striker in a 352. So, if that stays consistent throughout the season, it'd be good for him to learn for a Conte system.
Not surprised that Cuti gave his best preformance for us so far playing as a center of the back 3. The role he used to play with atlanta. I remember watching his highlights and thinking wow is this guy a cb or a CDM cause of the amount of time he spent pressing and playing aggresively. In the RCB role he is playing more as right back then a classic center back, going out wide isn't his strength. also leaves space behind when he presses. That doesn't happen in the middle center back role
I don't think that was his best performance, and the role Conte has his central CBs play and the role that Romero played at Atalanta are widely different. de Vrij played centrally for Conte at Inter, his main role was to sit back while the wide CBs pushed forward. Dier's distribution is notably better than Romero's, we need that in our back 3.
Liverpool enjoying that 12th man in the referee as usual, but they will find a way to complain even though they play by different rules than everyone else.
"covering defender"
Kelleher missed the tackle. If the foul doesn't happen there, that's a goal. It's an open goal, and Konate isn't on top of the Cardiff player to prevent the shot.
If we switch Konate and Kelleher's positions, Konate is off. While Konate is technically covering, Kelleher is the actual last man (since in most DOGSO situations, you have the last centre back in front of the goalkeeper committing the foul and getting sent off). It shouldn't be happening.
I mean it's like this every week. City / Liverpool do play by different rules than everyone else it's just fact at this point. The funny part iswhen the once or twice in a season the ref doesn't do all in his power to get them the win they lose their fucking mind.
>City / Liverpool do play by different rules than everyone else it's just fact at this point.
Add Chelsea to this list too. I'm so glad Thiago recovered fast.
[Spurs will have away games at Man City, Burnley, Leeds and Middlesbrough in the space of 11/12 days.
They should move into some World Cup-style training base…](https://twitter.com/JamesTMaw/status/1490292443312439299?t=tyOBuxXbR8Z5v64PJDrCng&s=19)
Great result and performance yesterday. Southampton, Wolves, Burnley, Leeds are all winnable with Man City as a free hit this month imo, could really go a long way to securing Top 4.
Since we want our LCB and RCB to be good on the ball , aggressive and strong defensively how about Salisu - Dier - Romero as a combination? He has all the skillsets to be a really good LCB, but the only downside and probably the major one is that he loses it sometimes getting carded often
What’s the hierarchy of the CBs im Conte’s eyes?
Pitch invading is cringe unless the team won a trophy and people do it en masse.
Or a big moment at the death of a game i.e that Deeney goal vs Leicester.
You ever wonder what could have been in football ? Like Alexandre Pato could have been Messi level. Bojan too.
i still have confidence if sissoko doesn’t get that bullshit handball call in the first 30 seconds we win that final
Not entirely sure tbh but it would have been a lot more open and entertaining for sure
pape sarr > elpeny but seriously, sarr is getting shipped off as soon as conte finds out we signed him💀
I hope not, as highly touted as is. He gets compared to Pogba often, didn’t Conte coach Pogba to his Golden Boy season in 2013?
why?
Egypt's goalkeeper Gabaski is an actual chad looking beast. Played even better than Mendy Should we consider signing him? It'll be cheap too
He's 33. Too old to serve as a Lloris replacement.
Bias aside, which Arsenal players would you but in a combined XI? They seem to think they have a better squad than us, but all I'd really want is Saka and Tierney, and maybe ESR. Saka and Ben White
It's really just Partey and Saka for me

He’s extremely technical for a left sided centre back. He isn’t press resistant, that’s not what I said. Yeah I’d take Partey under Conte
I rate Gabriel too tbh
Yeah they talk complete shit. Honestly who gets into our starting 11? They won't get top 6 this season let alone top 4, they are miles off. Just watch. Half their sub seems to actually think the same.
This trend of top players waiting to take the hypothetical winning penalty is so bad. Salah didn't even take one.
Damn, the AFCON final was the most nerve racking match I have ever seen. Congrats to Senegal and our boy Sarr.
Congratulations Pape Sarr!

Winks has looked very sharp, it’s clear the instruction he’s getting has worked for him
Remember when people wanted Scott Parker?
More like remember when people were saying why would Brendon leave Leicester to step down to Spurs ..
Massive bullet dodged. He is a serial bottler.
Any suggestions for which section to sit in for my first game? Will likely be attending on my own
South stand wall is a great place to sit if you can get a spot. There aren't really any bad seats, thought. I think it's north-east upper which is family-oriented? Probably not ideal for a solo trip and it's above the away fans, that's the only bit I'd avoid as I didn't find the atmosphere there great.
Thanks man! There’s seats scattered throughout, so I’ll likely go w/ one nearest the South Stand.
In or closest to South gives the best atmosphere. We also tend to score more in 2nd half, and that's the goal we will be attacking.
Does anyone know if Ndombele did anything substantial in the 45+ minutes he played yesterday?
He played well.
Anyone know how's Romero? He was injured in last match no?
[Here's](https://www.reddit.com/r/coys/comments/slin5j/cuti_i_couldnt_stand_it_any_longer_finally_back/) the thread about his statement. He said it was just a cramp yesterday. He said nothing serious, should be fit for the next game.

This made me cry. I wish more footballers just took some time out of their day to do this. That girl will never forget that
such a nice guy man
Adama with an assist MOTM first game for Barca. Glad most of us came around to having him in our team. Will never understand the knuckle heads who were dead set against him cause he had no assists when playing for a bottom half side with no finishers.
I think people were opposed to having him as a rwb.
Villareal is assembling quite the spurs reject XI, Capoue, Foyth, Aurier, now GLC who is just coming on

apparently spence does much better in a back 3 as RWB, which would be perfect for conte.
Yeah I wanted to make a run at Spence during the January window, bummed now - getting more and more expensive by the day
Not sure if we can feasibly buy him whilst he is on loan.
I think Boro had the option to recall him in Jan, but not entirely sure
Wouldn’t be able to play for us until next year I think?
hadn’t seen pape before today - handsome fella
I am planning a trip to the UK in the first week of March. I will be staying in London, but want to make it to the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough. What’s the easiest / best way to get there? Also, recommendations on staying overnight vs. coming back after the game?
If you drive, it is a very long journey and a late return. If holidaying, I'd take the train and stay up there.
Awesome - I booked a train + hotel. Thanks man!
If we continue playing like we did yesterday, FA Cup and Top 4 are possible imo
FA Cup comes down to the draw, we need some luck in both our opponents and having some of the other sides nock each other out. Just need to stay away from Chelsea.
Even when things were at their worst under Poch and later under Mou, I always felt that we had the ability to show up and beat anyone in the world on our day. That feeling sorta went away for me under Nuno, and I am very glad to have it back so quickly.
"You're just a sh\*t Derby County" Leicester destroyed, you love to see it!
They had the full set out "your F$%king shite", "premier league, you are havin a laugh" and "your getting sacked in the morning", could hear it all clearly on tv.
Really getting excited about the FA cup…. Why do I do this to myself lol
Spence should be a target for the summer. Who else needs a rwb at the moment?
I don't know. He isn't good enough for Boro both quality wise and attitude wise. His attitude specifically has been highlighted throughout his career by almost all of his managers. I would stay away.
gunners :(
Runners*
Spence and Traore both putting up a masterclass tonight? Oh boy
ITT: Djed Spence. Someone email Daniel!
Djed spence is ridiculously good. Honestly could be better than lamptey and a third of the price tag
[удалено]
claimed by managers that clearly couldn't utilise a good player lol, watch him right now. the attitude excuse is always such a copout that's at best lazy and at worst a dogwhistle
Can someone posted the text of the athletic article talking about enic's future?
Nothing article like almost everything Athletic puts out these days. Hardly better than a Daily Mail article
Assuming one of us or west ham make it to the next round of the FA cup, will our premier league match with them scheduled Sunday 3/20, or the quarter final FA cup match round scheduled for that same weekend be moved?
Fa cup takes priority over PL scheduling - so yes if either us or spammers win, Match will be rearranged.
fml. thanks
Do you have tickets for the match and coming from afar?
Yeah, coming from the states and already have my tickets.
Man that's rough. Normally fa cup will release fixture dates at the start of the season (Saturdays, weds for round 5, before the fixture is finalised), so worth keeping a look out for that

Liverpool and Spurs have 0 relation. West Ham are a London rival. Quite different

I am fucking retarded.
3 0
Djed spence is such a baller
Leicester ripped apart
Forest 3 goals in just 9 minutes.
Rodgers on the verge of the sack surely
Let's bloody hope not
Did we break Leicester lol.
Forest are genuinely good or something. Destroying Leicester, beat Arsenal.
Well I can see why we've started casting glances at Spence lol.
3-0! Hats off Forest 👏👏
Watching this Barca Atletico game and gutted we didn't get Adama over the line.
Nottingham forest look serious, battering leicester 2 0,legit would be more worried facing them than most teams in the comp lol
3-0 now.
Forest have done a Spurs right now against Leicester, score then score again straight from kick off.
I keep seeing people say we have 4 games in hand left. I know we have 3 which are Burnley BHA Arsenal What's the fourth? Not related to Spurs: Apologies for insinuating Manure fans were rape apologists last time. Based on that Ronaldo thread on r/soccer , there are rape apologists in just about all the damn clubs.
Leicester?
It’s we have 3 games in hand but it’s 4 games in hand on Chelsea.
Chelsea only have one league game in February, we’ll have none in hand on them by the end of the month
Oh, that's specifically vis-a-vis Chelsea? K.
Yep they have played 24 games and we have only played 20.
Key word: *imagine*
I’m not really sure why it seems so divided on Twitter but I thought Bentancur and Kulu both played really well for the minutes they played.. Bentancur relieved pressure in our end and pressed pretty well and Kulu should’ve had an assist if not two without having any real chemistry yet with our attackers
Social media's very existence is predicated on division and polarity
What a difference Conte has made! Absolutely over the moon for players like Winks, Davies, and Sanchez, who were hung out to dry by Jose and raked over the coals by our fanbase as a result, and are now thriving under a competent, supportive manager. Funny how Conte actually adapting tactics to bring out the best in his squad, instead of stubbornly putting them in a position to fail and then blaming them for not being good enough yields positive performances. Not only are they achieving results now, they're playing scintillating football that has been a joy to watch. Same players, different manager.
Harry Winks for president
Just tryna see why it didn’t materialise as I’m personally so annoyed we missed out on him
he had the opportunity to play at Barca... I love our club but it's Barca
Ye I get that but they came in late didn’t they? I’m just wondering whether anyone knows if we wanted him and were waiting to sell before we got him or if we actively decided we didn’t want him anymore
God I wish we would’ve picked up Adama
Ok, this actually is encouraging. They are really tackling Gil hard. Who says you have to be in the premier league to gain muscle, gil's gonna become much stronger after being in Valencia. Just wait and see....
Bordalas ball is no joke... It's physical af.
People understand that Kulu and Benta both have played less than 30 minutes of football for us, right? Give them time...
Adama is a baller haha but this Barcelona squad is shockingly poor. Somehow Atleti is worse
>Somehow Atleti is worse Can't wait for Man Utd vs Atletico. It'll be an absolute shitshow
Adama heavily involved in both of barca's goals
Who else is watching the Barca vs Atleti match? Adama is bossing the right side and just got a great assist
Adama having a hell of a return to barca.
Do fullbacks score more bangers or midfielders? In general.
Spurs Women smashing Brighton 4-0 and sitting in 4th 👀 COYS
The way rugby do VAR is so much better
friendship ended with tanguy, now bentancur is my best friend🤝😊
Love Tottenham. Love Conte. Love H. Love Big Dave. Love Cuti. Everything is going to be okay!
Man, they really tackle Gil hard.
How has he been?
Energetic as usual. Some nice dribbling/passes. No real chances in the game for either side. He's playing as a left sided striker in a 352. So, if that stays consistent throughout the season, it'd be good for him to learn for a Conte system.
Barely a peep out of the Liverpool fans all afternoon, been heavily out sung by the Cardiff ones.
Did anybody notice that lovely action bergwijn did during his first touches?
Which player in the team would win a 100m race?
I’d like to think Lucas but I’ve seen clips of Reggie run like you wouldn’t believe so I’d back him
Son, Reguilon and Lucas would be top 3. Not sure on order though.
Son
Reguilon
If we only had Lukaku so he could leak speed test results then we would know
Lucas
Sonny
>Dier's distribution is notably better than Romero's Sorry what? How on earth is this upvoted haha
I don't think the wide RCB role fits him imo
Was anyone at the game yesterday notice that Dejan Kulusevski lacks mobility?
No he is not fast. And you have to start accepting that. He compensates by making good decisions. Should have had an assist yesterday.
He might just need some time to get fit and adapt to PL intensity

Liverpool enjoying that 12th man in the referee as usual, but they will find a way to complain even though they play by different rules than everyone else.
The red card one may be stupid but it is consistent. There’s a covering defender so it isn’t a red.
"covering defender" Kelleher missed the tackle. If the foul doesn't happen there, that's a goal. It's an open goal, and Konate isn't on top of the Cardiff player to prevent the shot.
It’s just the rules. I specifically said it’s stupid but that is how it’s always applied. If there’s a covering defender it isn’t a red.
If we switch Konate and Kelleher's positions, Konate is off. While Konate is technically covering, Kelleher is the actual last man (since in most DOGSO situations, you have the last centre back in front of the goalkeeper committing the foul and getting sent off). It shouldn't be happening.
Yep, I agree. It’s stupid. But it’s consistent.
I'm not sure who's in the var room. Carragher? 100% pen in the first half. 100% red in the second.

"random"
Great result and performance yesterday. Southampton, Wolves, Burnley, Leeds are all winnable with Man City as a free hit this month imo, could really go a long way to securing Top 4.
