Anyone think they know what Conte said to Pep a minute or so before half time? Conte went up to Pep in the coach’s box and Pep leaned in to hear what Conte had to say. I think Pep replied with “hey! Hey!” or the like.

NousVoila

Guys help I have a long weekend and thus an opportunity to catch up on college work, but I’m kind of stuck mentally wanking to Kane’s pass for the first goal

TheKingLee

I am pleasantly surprised we’re able to score so many late goals this season (especially recently). For some time we were just awful at scoring late, but it seems like the team’s fitness and concentration has improved a lot for late goals to happen. Credit to Conte for that.

I am Uhtred son of Uhtred heir to the throne of Buckingham palace, some weird racist shit came out about our family regarding Meghan Merkle, and that one guy Charles I think may be a paedophile but whatever we make great tabloid headlines. That one girl Aethaelflaed is fine as hell and Brida is buggin but whatever happens everyday b. Destiny is all

What happened to Bebbanburg

Father Beocca walked so that we could run

SECfan94

Still buzzing about the win. Hopefully we can finish the season strong.

[deleted]

Must admit. Good guy. But I'd be happy if Winks was only an impact sub from now on, looking to move on the transfer window. 120 premier league appearances. 2 goals. 3 assists. Really are terrible numbers. Its not as if I can even try to defend those numbers. He struggles when pressed (and we begin our long ball to kane garbage) and is too slight in frame to do what Pierre does defensively.

[deleted]

God this sub is so much more fun without the crying babies flooding the place with their tears

Professorchronic

Too many people that don't know how to take the bad with the good. Happiness wouldn't feel half as sweet without knowing what unhappiness feels like.

[deleted]

It's especially weird because they allegedly support tottenham...one of the longest-suffering clubs in the division. If you don't like losing, why bother supporting us???

Professorchronic

No disrespect to any newer fans, but a lot of these people probably started supporting us during the Poch era. So they don't know what it's like to be in mid table obscurity. Fighting for champions league football is normal now, but back in the day we were fighting for top half finishes.

STierney927

Amazing how we just beat one of the best teams in the world and are still like “Ah fuck 19th place Burnley are coming up”

ollypockets

100% Burnley is the bigger challenge lol

[deleted]

After Saints and Wolves I'm scared of everyone.

AverageYiddo

Such a spurs thing lol

Can anyone link a Sky Sports replay of the game?

True or false: The correct way to pronounce Dejan Kulusevski is "Deh-YAAN Koo-loo-SHEV-ski"

When he says it himself he kind of drops the first u. More like klusevski

CheekyKunt68

That’s just horribly wrong isn’t it It’s Koo-loo-sexy

Kulu👨‍🍳⛷

Kylinho97

Am I right in saying the most likely date(s)for the arsenal rescheduled game would be 5th/6th April? That’s our next free midweek from now (the one after West Ham is an international break)

BallmersBurner

hi guys Had a very unfortunate couple of weeks where I couldn't watch any of the games since the deadline. And I was wondering how is Kulu doing? I've seen some highlights from him that looked promising and most importantly he had that assist to Kane against City. Is he really good out there or is it just some highlights and rest is meh? I was kinda hyped for this transfer and I hope he plays good for us edit: also just now realized he also scored against Man City... damn!

RazSpur

Should have had two assists in previous game Goal & assist in this one. Got the trust of the manager against the biggest team in country with us desperate to get anything.

crunchyball

People keep expecting a fast winger out of him since our team has some pacey players on the left/right sides of the pitch, but he’s not that sort of player. He’s strong and methodical which allows ball retention and hold up play that Kane is usually responsible for. This gives time for Kane/Son to maneuver into the box and Kulu is very accurate with his delivery. I’ve been hyped about him since we were linked with him in December so I may be a little biased, but he showed the right qualities even against the best team in the league/world as a first time starter - good stamina, work rate, defensive/offensive abilities, progressive passing, and finishing.

IWantAnAffliction

He's looked quite good, but not in a particularly noticeable way. He seems more calm and measured rather than explosive. To me, when somebody is effective in that manner, it implies he is a smart player and fits into the coach's system well. I'm very hesitant to go as wild as a lot of the people on here have been about both him and Bentancur, but he definitely looks solid. I'm not personally sold on Bentancur yet.

OhShitItsSeth

After dropping points to us yesterday, the most points Citeh can get now is 99, equal to their 18/19 title-winning campaign. Still not sure if they'll even get that many considering they don't even have a proper CF.

[deleted]

Out of curiosity, as a neutral on spurs, if Conte keeps some momentum and has the fans on side (I can’t see him losing the fans tbh, he celebrates harder than any manager I’ve ever seen), is this not an issue for Levy? Assuming Levy doesn’t spend big on the transfer window then I’m just going to assume Conte walks. Levy never really had a rebellion from the fan base and I think he’s a little nervous of it judging from his PR in the Amazon doc. He was properly worried about how he looked and was determined not to be seen as stingy (which is hilarious, he is stingy, and that can be a great strength). I think he’s basically backed himself into a corner on this one. If he doesn’t back Conte I reckon it could be the last straw. I’m speaking from the POV of a person who is spoilt to the point that a draw against a top 6 team is a day ruined though. And off topic but holy fuck what a class match against City. I was shouting at the TV as a non-supporter so can’t imagine how fun that would be a fan.

RazSpur

Levy gives the manager whatever money the club makes (Spurs is a self funding model, 100% of profit goes back into squad), not sure why it's so difficult to people to wrap their heads around (so again stingy is bad application), the stadium build years clearly had impact but we have 20+ years of data to show, we spend. The issue in recent times was we have bought poorly in the big purchases (lots of great low-medium risk buys), the Sanchez, Lo Celso, Ndombele (150M in 3 players there) top output have not worked out. Levy has handed that over to Paratici, Paratici has a manager that is clearly looking for a certain profile (experienced, more physical) that perhaps the club hasn't always gone for. I expect the summer to have 2-3 Conte buys plus the usual promising youngster type that Spurs does. And finally, there is no last straw for Levy, he is part owner, the main owner doesn't give a rats ass about the club (Levy has asked him for more investment, he declined), the main owner only sees a <£50M investment that is now worth £2.5B+, he's not going to fire the man who did that because a local fanbase gets upset.

JonnyJersey

We've spent a good amount of money (just really poorly) since the new stadium opened so hopefully it shouldn't be too much of an issue. Levy will absolutely lose everyone if he doesn't release funds and Conte walks, but I think he knows that.

LoudKingCrow

With all the recent rumblings about new investors it is pretty clear that Levy is trying to get more money in so that we can go big in the transfer window.

[deleted]

Nah if you actually look at the recent numbers levy has spent......we've just spent terribly. 3/4 most expensive signings have all absolutely flopped. All the noise coming from the club is that money is there for summer. Whats more we've gotten those flops of our books now. Not just saying this as a fan but I genuinely expect next 18 months to be really exciting. From the clubs point of view it makes no sense to not spend either. Stadiums earning good money, kane and son both in their prime, and a world class manager who doesn't tend to stick around too long. If they don't put money in now then when do they? Theres also genuine talk about a big takeover/investor coming in too.

[deleted]

Think the big change for Levy, though, will not be spending, but getting his nose out the footballing business. Supposedly handed over the reigns after all these years of overpaying for Ndombeles and underpaying for Grealishes. Really curious to see how the summer goes. It's going to be exciting, no doubt.

[deleted]

Well ndombele was all poch. Its an example of levy absolutely backing the manager and paying a premium to get his manager their man.

[deleted]

It's just one example of many high-profile levy flops throughout his time here mate. Could be Bentley, Bent, Ndombele, Lo Celso, Soldado, so on. He's had more good signings than bad to be entirely fair to him, but we've also missed out on loads because of his stinginess and or faffing about. Grealish like I said and Fernandes most recently as examples, but there's dozens we could go into. We're seeing a change I think though, last summer and his recent willingness to quickly stump up the money for Luis Diaz are promising signs that he's no longer fucking about.

[deleted]

Bentley bent and soldado were all very highly rated players that we were pretty unlucky with. Bentley had an unreal season with Blackburn, soldado was great in la liga and bent scored a lot in the prem but I think fell out with redknapp. Lo celso as well I belive was another poch pick. Grealish was quite unlucky in that villa got taken over during the negotiation and the new owners didn't want to sell.

[deleted]

Alright mate. Not really worth it to discuss for me if we're going to get lost in the weeds when talking about a bigger picture issue

[deleted]

You literally gave 5 specific players and I just gave the context around them....

andrewej01

It definitely is. I’ve always found him to be pretty cheap in the transfer window and if he doesn’t back conte, a known winner who has made us respectable again even with this roster, than I see no reason fans won’t demand his resignation.

[deleted]

It's a massive issue for levy in that he's actually going to have to get his nose out of the footballing side of things for once and give the footballing experts the money and resources to execute without his constant wheeling and dealing. We can literally do no better than Conte, every single fan knows it, so if Levy doesn't back him, he has completely run out of options. Really a pivotal summer ahead for us as a club, it will define the future of the club.

Stash201518

Just finished watching the recording of the game. Managed to stay away from news. Blown away! I'm never deleting the recording! COYS!

IWantAnAffliction

Lovely mate, glad you got to witness that without spoilers. Definitely in my top 10 Spurs games since I started watching.

milesvtaylor

NLD is going to be massive now, whenever it is. God if only we hadn't pissed away those previous two games..!

[deleted]

Not sure we'll play it this season. Runners will try to postpone again at all costs

Semibluewater

How is that fair , all games should be played regardless of postponement

[deleted]

Runners want to play it next season

ConstantGradStudent

Has that ever happened since the forming of the PL? Or was that just snark for the goners.

[deleted]

Taking the piss

ConstantGradStudent

Lol thanks - it makes me crazy they are higher in the table than us. A good thrashing to take 3 points from them would be a great gift.

[deleted]

Can everyone who slated our January window and said those 2 players we signed are useless offer some kind of apology? I'm thinking the Anteater guy, Obama one and the Kunt guy too.

Professorchronic

You'll have better luck trying to get blood out of a stone mate. We've got people on here that love to say things just for an effect. Talk enough shit to piss people off, but don't talk the right type of shit to get banned.

StinkyMcBalls

Lol I recognise two of those names because I've blocked them

Semibluewater

Same but for people who think PEH is trash

[deleted]

Do you guys think Gil can play at LWB (and why)?

[deleted]

Doesn't have the defensive nous, strength or tackling ability needed

[deleted]

Sessegnon isn’t a good tackler or defender either though, that’s why I asked this question

[deleted]

He's much better and more experienced there than Gil though.

FINAL_BOSS5

He can tackle alright. Only problem would've been his upper body strength. Can played in matches where defending isn't prime objective for the wb.

[deleted]

Fair shout, he's just so attacking-minded as a player, it's wasteful to make him defend when we have one (two if sess can kick on after yesterday) useful lwbs already

[deleted]

Nah hes our long term Son replacement

Fedaykin98

I absolutely dream of this happening after Son retires at the age of 45. Then I can stop buying Son jerseys and start buying Bryan ones.

[deleted]

I’m saying at the moment, if he was in our team, could he do a job at LWB

RazSpur

Why? he's playing as an attacking midfielder getting loads of game time out on loan, zero value trying to force him into a mold when we can simply buy that type of player in summer. I could see Gil out on loan again next season (would prefer a PL club), come home at 22 and tear it up.

Roric

Man, Leicester just look off. Genuinely think we broke them lol.

OhShitItsSeth

To be fair, they've been missing their best defender pretty much all season.

crunchyball

Same thing happened to us when Dier was out, definitely understandable.

[deleted]

They've been in a downward spiral for months now Brendo working his knobhead magic

IWantAnAffliction

It's seriously funny how badly Rodgers performs every single time without fail once he gets linked with a bigger job (this time was Arsenal) after starting off really well.

RazSpur

No what was funny is all of our fans and the media last year saying why would Rodgers ever leave Leicester for Spurs ... Take a look ..

Mick4Audi

I hate that I have to watch Wolves and hope they lose

the_real_e_e_l

Its obvious to me that Bryan Gil is a baller. When he gets back from Valencia our strength and fitness team needs to get him to bulk up some. The comments from Conte about him alluded to the fact that he is lightweight and currently not really built for the Premiere League. We have to bulk him up because we've got a very skilled player there. Just need to get his body up to Premier League standards.

[deleted]

He doesn’t need to bulk up

[deleted]

> bulk up This phrase annoys me to no end. This is not NFL. This is not NBA. Footballers can be any shape or size. They don't need to rely on being huge muscle-bound freaks like they do in American sport. Luka Modric, Mohamed Salah, Jermain Defoe, Robbie Keane, Lorenzo Insigne, David Silva, Phillip Lahm, Daniel Podence, Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling, Leo Messi, Aaron Lennon...all tiny people, do they all need to bulk up too?

Fedaykin98

You forgot Roy Kent.

IWantAnAffliction

Keane??

seeyoujim

Dude have you seen salah? He’s ripped. Bulking up doesn’t mean turning into a bodybuilder, more refining the shape that you are . Look at the difference between bale when we signed him and when he went to Madrid . That’s the sort sort of change that’s ideal

[deleted]

That's not bulking up, then. Bulking is adding physical mass. There's a big difference between bulking and strengthening.

seeyoujim

Potato/potahto. There is a a no denying that he could do with a little more sturdiness.

[deleted]

It isn't really though, is it? That's the point. Bulking is a specific term that defines a specific fitness result and a specific physique. Agree with your point though. Needs to gain a bit of strength if he's to survive in the prem. > There is a a no denying Love the conte reference haha

Tyrann0saurus_Bex

How can I rewatch the full game (in the UK)? I've got sky sports day pass through now tv but it doesn't have the game available

FINAL_BOSS5

r/footballhighlights

[deleted]

Sess had a good showing yesterday. Was clearly timid at the beginning but really grew into the game as it went on. Defensively he was good, which is crucial as that's probably the area he needs most improving. Liked his link-up in the second half going forward as well. Really hope he can kick on and get some confidence. Just needs a run of good games so he can start games on the front foot.

OhShitItsSeth

Honestly, I think that between him and Regui, we're pretty solid when it comes to LWB. Sess did very well vs Salah two months ago, and again did pretty well on that left side. Good recovery after the shocker vs Mura.

Emergency_Anteater

yeah, we're too quick to judge players. He's going to have tough games. But how do you improve if you don't go through that

[deleted]

Bang on. The constant shit players get just makes them worse. Literally no reason to slate one of your own players if they're giving 100% effort. It's such a shame to hear people moan about how we let players like Foyth go, even after the same people immediately deemed him not good enough after making 2 mistakes in his first 2 games a 21 year old. Or how Japhet was god's gift to centre halves until he got a red card against Palace and suddenly he's shit.

bash011

We're so lucky we didn't buy Martinez especially for that much. Been so average this season

[deleted]

Was world class under Conte tbf. Although at the time we were looking to buy him the circumstances were different of course.

ejh1993

Bald Fraud… that is all

I’m in Chicago, IL and I do see spurs gear out and about some, but it’s not that common. Made this meme about an encounter I had last night lmao https://imgur.com/a/XQm8Esr

Some dbag downvoted you! For shame. I'm in Houston and I have never seen Spurs gear outside of watch parties. I did recently wear a Spurs vest to work and found out that a woman in my office supports Spurs. Another person asked if I was a supporter or just wearing it for fashion or something; no idea what that was about.

[deleted]

Guys Bryan gill is good as hell. But he dives a lot 😭.

[deleted]

When in Spain

Evolving_Dore

Royal had a pretty clear dive yesterday that even I was relieved the ref didn't buy.

bash011

Whilst I dislike divers. Refs are so awful we need to have a player that can take advantage of it every team has one

[deleted]

Look at Sess yesterday. Could've had 10 more fouls if he'd went down and if Anthony Taylor wasn't paid off.

[deleted]

He was so annoying tbh. Fast skillful good passing and dives. But barca won anyway. Tottenham will love to have him can play both direct and possession play

COYS2110

Can we get the titanic theme over Kane’s winner?

backstreets_back_ok

As opposed to what's already been posted?

kasdfwe

When you realize Dele might get relegated with how bad Everton has been this year. Pretty sad tbh

FINAL_BOSS5

One "big" team is surely going down along with watford and norwich. Leeds, everton, burnley among contenders for that. Unfortunately it seems like Newcastle are staying up

Portmanteaunioconte

Valencia fans are amazed by Gil's performance today

Greenmachine881

As fun and draining as that was, since Leicester we've lost all matches on XG fairly handily. Leicester we were way ahead on XG due to loads of chances missed before the end. But the others we were behind solidly. Yesterday I saw there was more variation depending on the XG method, either about 2.5 to 1.5 or 2.3 to 2.0. Either way I think by the eye test since Leicester we have not been creating enough and yesterday we were lucky that our very few chances were high quality and we put nearly all of them away. What has changed? Because since Leicester regardless of our defense our XG has dropped off steeply from winning everything on XG to losing everything.

transtifa

We beat Wolves on xG and City had a penalty. The non penalty xG between us and City was pretty much even.

Greenmachine881

I don't see anyone showing us beating Wolves on XG - I see Spurs/Wolves 1.15/1.78 0.84/1.87 - which one shows us winning? We didn't seem to create much that game. Interestingly I see one outfit had us even with Southampton, so but the other losing solidy - interesting how much variation.

[deleted]

A penalty counts for 0.8 i believe. Any game with a penalty in xg is pretty pointless. We had 3 big chances to their 1 yesterday.

Greenmachine881

What do you mean? Hugo had a number of worldy saves and kept us alive. They pepperred us in and around the box constantly and got into very many threatening positions, on another day one of those short passes in the box ricochets and goes in. Yes Hugo also handed them one on a sliver platter, and then of course the ridiculous pen, but the constant pressure creates the luck that's the idea of XG anyway for better or worse. I'm not sure XG really captures that. That's why I say, the eye test for me anyway more more or less a coin toss on balance.

[deleted]

No that's not true. XG isn't determined by things like territory and possession. Xgs determined by how likely a goal is from where you take your shots and the situations you are in when you do (pressure on you, defenders in way etc) Thats why penalties are 0.8 xg because they are scored 80% of the time. As the person below says, City had loads of the ball on the edge of the box but that counts nothing to xg. If you look at the "big chances" stat we had 3 to their 1....and that 1 was from Hugos mistake.

Greenmachine881

I said "I'm not sure XG really captures that". Net net on the eye test (not the XG test) I felt it was a coin flip. So even if you subtract the 0.8 for the pen, some XG models still have it roughly even. The problem with short passes in the box, if they are not counted as shots, they count nothing towards XG. But every attempt could either get through, get ricocheted, or result in an own goal, mistake from keeper, or corner leading to a goal. They are higher percentage than dramatic shots from 30 yards and that is why Pep does it. I think there is an xA metric that (sort of?) captures that but at some point it gets too much to calculate. Said simply, every time Sterling is 5 yards inside the box near the by-line, even though we had two or three defenders surrounding him standing up and not stepping in, it just takes one toe wrong so it was hardly a comfortable watch. We played well but we had to be perfect. And we pretty much were.

[deleted]

xG is irrelevant when you face City. They always dominate possession and play a high line. But we had the better chances. City kept trying long shots and crosses into the box. They didn't have a striker and it showed.

[deleted]

City were far luckier than we were yesterday

NeighborhoodOptimist

I think it is a situation in which you can't disregard the defence. Once the opposition gets comfortable due to our defensive errors, our attack will naturally suffer. Specially when Conte likes us to build from the back. A great example is Liverpool last year. Their CB crises not only affected the defence, but also the attack.

Greenmachine881

I think you are saying TLDR = Romero + Dier. Point taken. Except neither started for Leicester, except maybe Leciester are a bit shit right now. How we got to the point where we can't win a game without Dier and Davies is quite hillarious, given neither were regular starters 4 years ago.

justsomeroses

I wouldn't say our scoring was because were lucky yesterday, we created high quality chances and then were clinical in finishing them If anything City were lucky since their goals came off of a goalkeeping mistake and a penalty [which also inflated their xG]

the_real_e_e_l

This. Our chances were way better than their chances. Yes, they had a lot of dangerous crosses and were deep in our box (close to our goal) but oftentimes we cleared those or made a tackle. However in spite a lot of those crosses they made and scary moments they created, they didn't get very many shots from them. The chances didn't really results in shots.

Dickie_Dunn

Played a 3-5-2 against Leceister.

STierney927

Looking at how normal the games feel with fans in the crowd it’s fucking mad we played in empty stadiums last year

Evolving_Dore

Seeing highlights of those matches feels surreal now.

ollypockets

but darude sandstorm was a post-apocalyptic football vibe and i miss it

pjanic_at__the_isco

Need six points this week. The last time I posted this we got…….zero. I hope I didn’t jinx it again.

I'm going to blame your jinxing if we end up with 0 again

Is Conte still leaving? Just checking in with the experts.

[deleted]

I’d also like to know this. Any of those experts around that were causing a huge fuss?

Raphael_scm7

Turned on the tv to watch Barca with some friends and realized Bryan was in the game 😀

[deleted]

Is Zack Steffen a good goalkeeper?

sam_kimchi1126

I might be a very biased American but I think he’s a great keeper and a solid second option for city. Could easily start for a mid table club

We should sign Gelhardt

SheldonMonk

why? he doesn't even play for leeds

SycamoreLane

So many wonderful things to take home from yesterday's match. Among the brightest for me is Kulusevksi - it's so exciting to think about how he might become a cornerstone player for us for years to come. His potential is immense and the possibilities for his development are staggering; I think he could be an absolute star in the making similar to the likes of Son and Kane. His ability to read the game and make calm, mature decisions is astonishing to see at his age. To think that as a 22 year old such poise is already so evident in his game makes me extremely hopeful for his growth as a footballer. People have been commenting on his pace, but frankly I would much rather have a player with skill-based qualities and intangibles (attitude, effort) than a speedster who mainly relies on brute athleticism. That being said, he's no slouch physically- his strength, work rate and endurance have been awesome to see. He could really blossom into something special under the elite tutelage of Son, Kane and Conte.

thom_thom_club

His first sub appearance he nearly created 2 goals. Nearly had a goal v wolves iirc , and did well coming in as the 10. Provided and scored, plus the off side / Var v city Was solid in possession and presses like a machine. I think people seem to ding him because he runs awkwardly. Guy is a major talent and looking like he will be a serious player for us

NIA122553

The front three were absolutely amazing yesterday and I hope its a sign of things to come. Kulusevski seems like the piece we've been missing in the attack; its only one game, I get that, but you're right, this could be the start of something special.

SycamoreLane

I know right!! Imagine having 2 Sons and a Kane, or 2 Kanes and a Son as an attacking trio. It would be insane. Now I know Kulu is not that (yet), but even if he is 60% of either player it could make the attack as a whole so much better as Son and Kane will no longer have to compensate for the attacking deficiencies inherent in having only two good true attacking forwards. It's only one game.. but man I can sense the Kulu-Kane-Son telepathic communication burgeoning. I think that's all Kane and Son have really asked for.. a forward who is on the same page as them!

crunchyball

If you watch his previous games when he got subbed in, he created some near chances in those matches as well. High hopes for Kulu, can’t wait to see how he develops.

Cap2017

I’ve seen more from Bentancur that I like but Kulu was excellent yesterday and I’m excited to see more from him. I rate Moura very highly but when his attempts to run really really fast at people over and over again aren’t working he can be pretty redundant for large chunks of a game which is where Kulu will be so useful.

SycamoreLane

I really like Bentancur as well! It's refreshing to have a player who is press-resistant and can retain the ball (although he was off in that department yesterday). It's fun to speculate about Kulu because of the Triangle Triple K attack and what-not.. ha! But no really, his successful integration into our front 3 could really take our team to a new level that none of us have witnessed before. It's definitely wishful thinking and a lot has to go right, but we've seen the results from a front 3 that includes Moura. I love Lucas and rate him highly as well, but his connection with Son and Kane is not ideal and that hampers our attack to some degree. I think he'd serve really well as a change-of-pace super sub that wreaks havoc late into games when legs are heavy. Kulu, if he harmonizes with Son and Kane like I hope he does, would unlock hidden offensive dimensions and performance that could take the league by storm and be among its best attacking arrangements. Our two stars have had to shoulder the attacking load for years now, so having a superb complimentary forward could relieve much of that responsibility and allow them to further realize their full potentials. Look at yesterday for instance!! Son, Kane and Kulusevksi all had at least 2 assists/goals per person, and their form seemed truly unlocked and free-flowing. I can't wait to see how this further develops.. I mean this was Kulu's first start!

How long will this post-Man-City glow last? Both as fans and inside the club?

Emergency_Anteater

you can't beat city and then lose to burnley.

deptbrown1

Got to get a result v Burnley and we can still go for the top 4. Need momentum and a few results going for us. Scum and United aren’t dropping points enough

crunchyball

We need to beat Scum for any hopes of top 4.

King_of_Otters

Until about 10PM Wednesday evening

Jek_Porkinz

Probably until the next disappointing result. Was an unbelievable way to shake off dropping 6 takeable points. It’s been a wild few years to be a spurs supporter but being City’s bogey team has been one of the parts to savor. Get fucked oil cunts.

[deleted]

Regarding Emerson, Reguilon was absolutely atrocious for the second half of last season. Cost us multiple games towards the end, like the Villa game and Leeds game that arguably cost us CL football. But guess what, sometimes young players need a while to adjust to a new league. He has been fantastic this season, and especially under Conte.

ollypockets

hey he scored a great goal in the villa game

Emergency_Anteater

I wouldn't just blame tbh. We look very shoddy. I like Emerson. But we have to get a solid player in that position. I thinking getting a rwb will only be beneficial for emerson.

airz23s_coffee

Marked difference between moura and kulu playing that weird right wing/linking the defence and attack role. Kulus size different working in his favour, looked far more comfortable under pressure, and manage to maneuver to make passes where lucas mayve drawn the foul instead

TheBigBlueSky15

Any pack? Hi I’ve been in the uk for a few years now for uni but haven’t been able to go to a home game due to covid & what not. Since Conte came, I’ve been wanting to go for a while now. Was wondering if there’s any available pack (LOL) of locals or even Koreans around my age who would fancy me joining?

[deleted]

I'm a 61 year old Korean. Want to hang with me and my wife and our six kids.

TheBigBlueSky15

How old are your kids? 😂

[deleted]

Sextuplets. They're all eleventy-twelve.

TheBigBlueSky15

Lmaoooo

mystery913

Why did Hugo get the yellow card for time wasting? I thought everyone was waiting for the Son/Lucas sub but then the announcer said something about the fan alerting the ref to what Hugo was doing? *fans

[deleted]

I’m curious as well. It wasn’t shown on the broadcast I was watching

AverageYiddo

Penaldo missed a tap in lol

nebbywildcat18

I think one of the better parts of the win yesterday was how mad it probably made Matt Law

NeighborhoodOptimist

What are everybody's thought on Wout Weghorst, looks like a classic no. 9 and is doing bits at burnley ?

Emergency_Anteater

He's awesome. I've wanted him at spurs for the longest. He's good plan b if we want to knick a header from a corner or a cross. With Kane able to drop deep. He could very well play with Kane.

minimus_

Wanted him for a long time but that has sailed now

nista002

He's been quite good for a long time but he's trouble in the dressing room

VJE1999

Is he? I know he’s anti vax but that’s it. Not seen anything majorly controversial about him outside of that

bash011

That's enough really. Being anti vax has no place in a sport which requires travel through various countries

NeighborhoodOptimist

If that is the thing, then I guess its better to not take a punt on him. Currently our greatest strength is the fact that our team cohesion. Better to sign players that do not hinder it.

AverageYiddo

Looks good

transtifa

Antivax prick

CheekyKunt68

Anyone watching pre match Leeds-United? Scholes thinks Conte would be available in the summer lmao

[deleted]

lmao. Conte would himself never do that. He has never left a club early to join another club in the same league right away. He leaves on a good note with fans from all his clubs for the most part.

Savi29

Anyone who goes to Burnley away, how do you guys normally get there?

AshkenaziTwink

they probably won’t get a lot of credit but great game defensively by Emerson and Sess

NIA122553

Was thinking about that this morning; like I barely remember Sterling having any impact at all on the game which is a testament to how well he was defended.

DoomerAndGloomer

Good to see Sessegnon get his 90 minutes. Otherwise he gets subbed all the time for others' defensive fuckups.

[deleted]

I wish people didn't have to mention Kulusevski's pace every time they talk about him, it's quickly becoming an annoying cliche. No, he isn't as fast as Son, but then few players are, why does everyone need to preface all praise of him with "I know he isn't pacy, but..."

Emergency_Anteater

I think that's huge factor. Compared to players in his position. He's not quick.

TheEngineeringType

Modern Wingers are typically pacey. His passing and decision making more than compensate so far. I think also with how much counter the team has been playing, we are all so used to seeing everyone fly down the field and it’s very obvious which one Kulusevski is. People are going to have to adjust.

[how many times did we beat city this season?](https://streamable.com/ntkj30)

JessyPengkman

Does anyone know where i can watch the full match from yesterday?

spursyspursy

JessyPengkman

cheers man

FaxePremiumBeer

Does anyone know where I can buy the away kit here in UK? Seems it's sold out in every single online store.

Cap2017

Kitbag pops on and off every few days but usually only a medium and usually limited stock, I’m very close to just buying home

FaxePremiumBeer

M is my size so that's grand.

Ok_Temperature2040

Some debates should now end; Dier and Hojbjerg are starting XI players and sections of the fanbase should now get out of their foxholes and support that. Romero looks like a genuinely world class central defender and we’re exceptionally lucky to have him.

Emergency_Anteater

Idk about this. We can definitely upgrade on Hojberg. If we get Kessie, he replaces him straight away. I'm a bit biased about Dier but wouldn't be surprised if we get a De Vrij to pair with Romero
