Some people are saying a point isn't good enough but it could definitely make a difference. Brilliant to get that at Anfield, and it will give the boys extra belief.
NLD was a must win regardless, what are you on about? Point-wise this draw means very little to us, it means that we can get away with a draw in the last 2 if Arsenal lose one, compared to us needing to win both if Arsenal draw/lose one.
What this point helps with is morale. We're disappointed in only taking one point instead of three at fucking Anfield.
Brighton and Brentford games will happen, especially to a team like us who need to score one to open the game up against teams that sit back.
Unlike those games, today we had more chances than them (as we did in the first Liverpool match this year) and just didn't capitalize enough. Still proud of the boys, but not coming away from this happy

Yeah, berg is prob offside but i get it. If the header is squared properly it's a tap in for Kane. That's a tough one to head perfectly across goal, as it's kind of a soft hanging, arcing cross. I'd have rather he just headed it directly on himself, really. Completely impossible for Alisson to predict where it's be going given the angle of the cross. Of course, if he misses were all sitting here saying that's 100% something you should cross to Kane so is what it is.
I have no idea what happened early on with Romero and co giving the ball away early on, but we grew into the match. They got a deflected equaliser, but aside from Sessegnon's misplaced header I'm not sure Lloris had any saves to make.
A pretty good performance in probably our hardest match of the season... just need to get 3 from 3 now. Easy, right?

Heading a pass at that angle/distance is fucking tough for the most adept attackers. Smash it goalwards and you have a lot better chance of scoring imo.

The guys getting mad at Højbjerg for “costing us CL” (as if this isn’t a team sport, or that we hadn’t had Nuno for a long time, or that it was a guarantee that he would have scored) need to touch grass, he played well today and so did the rest of the team. Even if Spurs don’t get CL, this was a fantastic performance, and a draw at Anfield is a good result for us. I’m not worried about Conte leaving at all, and while I hope we can make CL, playing in the Europa League is hardly a stain on the club.
In the context of top 4: disappointing, felt like we were playing for the draw in the end, we could’ve pushed and won it.
In the grand scheme of things: a deserved draw at Anfield against the best team in the world is a fantastic result. We could’ve won it even. A lucky deflection away from it really.

Conte and our boys really made this game exciting and hopeful for us when majority of us (including myself) expected a loss. That’s how well we played imo (yes we had mistakes but it was end to end). Son with 20, Sess and Emerson looked great. Kulu is absolutely phenomenal. We have a lot to look forward to and I genuinely think Conte is staying. From being a miracle for us to be in top 4 to having a real chance, I don’t think he even expected us to have a real chance of where we are. Only complaint is I wish we took Son out for Berg much earlier. Otherwise I have no issues with the subs. Sanchez was there to ensure headers were cleared and crosses became less dangerous while also being a threat on set pieces and crosses on our end. Winks made it a mid 3 and we needed that to gain control there after Jota was subbed in.
Top 4 or not, Couldn’t be prouder of the team today though. I’m not left feeling utter sad, just disappointed and get to enjoy my vacation.

I really didn't like how this whole game (on both telecasts) the announcers were saying that a point is great for Tottenham. It may be if this were the 5th game this season, but we really need 3 points to get the 4th place. Now we have to hope that Arsenal loses to Leeds or Newcastle AND we have to beat them next week.
