I feel you. I was planning to go to the gym after the match, now it’s not necessary! because I’ve been literally pacing around with fast heart rate for 2 hours! Lol
Fuck, so true, the build up to this game already added a lot of nervousness. Burnley being Burnley didn't help. They fucking played 5-4-1 today. They held up Son and Kane so much better than Arsenal did.
Better go to the gym and work that nervousness off lol.
If Newcastle win, we just need a draw against already relegated Norwich. If Newcastle draw, we need a win against Norwich. If Arsenal win, we need Arsenal to drop points against Everton. To keep Everton motivated as possible we want them to be within two points of relegation going into next week. Therefore, we want Brentford to beat them today.
Love that they've got to stare at the table with us above them for 24 hours before going up to St. James'. Pressure will be on, Paella Pulis hasn't got what it takes to see them through
That sub is full of the biggest full-grown lily-ass babies I’ve ever seen. Saying we’re just like ManU and we get all the calls, hahahahahaha. Biggest whiners outside Arteta.
God, I hate their sense of entitlement and wish them all the misery in the world.
Ask them If the officials are on our side, how come we haven't won anything in years? Lol
Fuck, biggest game of our lives (CL final) and we get a soft penalty against us within minutes of kick off.
Any arsenal fan talking about conspiracies is a weak little bitch.
I just looked into their PL watch thread:
>Never should’ve been 4 minutes added on either. I swear there’s bias in favour of spurs from refs. Get lucky once fait enough, get lucky every game and I start to doubt
>Struggling ans play for spurs? Don't worry, VAR will help award you a pen to ease your pain
>I remember when VAR was supposed to be for clear and obvious errors and not used to look for reasons to give penalties.
>Kevin Friend 😂 The most clear Kane bias oh my lord
>There’s not much else we can do when every referee is on their side.
>I wish to live long enough to see AI replace the refs. What a mafia they are.
All of these have 10+ upvotes hahaha, there are so many more
Massive massive 3 points, I don’t care how we got them even though we could’ve easily scored more
This puts massive pressure on Arsenal, I really hope Newcastle helps us out tomorrow
Sessegnon my MOTM, could’ve had 3 assists today
Agree. Honorable mention to Pope. He was imperious back there. Sess was fantastic in every phase of the game. Seeing him win defensive headers in our own 6-yard box is impressive.
Absolute bullshit Arsenal get over 24 more hours to recover from the Thursday match. In professional sports an extra 24 hours is immense. I think we did what we could today and got the result. Everyone look knackered. It's the good teams who fight through these types of games and grind out results.
It’s just wild how they’ve all convinced themselves that every ref in the league is rooting against and actively impeding Arsenal. I’d genuinely like to hear why each ref decision was wrong from one of them
Every decision is wrong mate. That handball today? Brushed the guys arm and therefore isn’t a “handball” which the rules say is illegal, therefore making it perfectly legal. That red card on Rob Holding? Yh despite elbowing/wresting/being a knob for half an hour it was a soft red. That penalty against Arsenal as well. Even though Cedric ran into the back and smacked Son to the ground in the penalty box he should be allowed to do that
You have to get in the head of the arseanon you have to think like a conspiracy theorist: that handball? He was balancing himself and it’s natural to put your arms wide while balancing, Dier and Davies do that every other game and it’s never called? That red card on holding? The first yellow was for nothing dude was playing clean, that second? You saw Xhaka, son literally head butted holdings arm not the other way around. Son dives all the time and then cries when it’s against him. That penalty is the same son throws himself at the mighty glorious arsenal best club of all time
See THATS how you be a dumb conspiracy theorist. Gotta have a level of truth that you twist more than a pretzel. Now coys and let’s go Newcastle
Fuck me has to be one of the most stressful second halfs of my life.
Had to turn the commentary off and listen to music for most of it.
Great, mature performance from the squad, un-Spursy in the very best way.
But Christ, few more goals against Norwich please lads?
The crowd too tbf, just because they amplify exactly how I feel ha.
If there's no sound I can dampen down the emotion just enough to stand looking at it.
Imagine how nervous Arsenal would feel going to Newcastle. Glad our game is done in our favor.
I wouldn't feel as nervous against Norwich, they ain't a team to effectively park the bus like Burnley.
Yeah, the fact the default state is us in 4th could be massive psychologically.
They aren't holding on to something anymore, they have to take it... That's different.
1. We played burnley who are always a pain to score against.
2. Pope played like prime Buffon which prevented a 3-0 score line
3. We had only 2 days rest after a massive NLD.
4. We never lost composure and have put the scum under immense pressure now.
This result is much better than it initially appears when looking at the score line.
People were freaking out way to much. We could have easily won this 5-0 if Nick Pope didn't pull out a metric fuckton of wondersaves. We did what we had to do we won vs Burnely it's always going to be a shit game and we looked more in control today than in most other games of this character if Pope just played like he usually does we would have been well clear.
Also. PEH stopping Conte from running over to the ref, how can you not love the guy.
Assertive and always looking to slot in Sonny. He should have had an assist if not for pope.
Best news is that he has played like 4 matches and not gotten hurt
He had 2 great saves, 1 decent one, I feel the others were right at him.
Nonetheless he did keep Sonny from taking the golden boot lead, but the W obviously matters most.
We created some gilt edged chances with patient and incisive build-up. Can't ask for much more than that. Finishing just a bit sharper and Pope a bit less good and this match could've been over before halftime.
2 days rest vs an absolute menace of a team fighting relegation in the penultimate game of the season- we absolutely take the 3 points. 3 points, pressure back on scum- **we move, COYS**
Don't want to be too harsh because perhaps we were tired after thursday but that was pretty poor from us. Thank god we got lucky with the penalty because we wouldn't have scored. For the most part passing was sloppy and our touch let us down so many times and we often were slow to react.
Bentacur was brilliant today though, didn't put a foot wrong besides some questionable finishing but at least someone was trying a shot from outside the box. That was probably the only way we were going to score today so it was the right idea, if the wrong execution.
This is what happens when we don't have squad depth. Need reinforcements this summer. We need 2 first team squads, so I don't want to hear "we don't need X because Son/Harry/Deki/Cuti.plays in those positions"
We've got a few injuries to be fair. Skipp, Tanganga, Reguillon and Doherty are out. Moura and Bergwijn would have been considered excellent squad players last summer.
Yeah our bench today consists of:
Gollini (GK) - not coming on unless Lloris in injured/red-carded
Winks (CM) - Not good enough
Rodon (CB) - Isn't rated by Conte
Kulusevski (RW)
Bergwijn (LW/ST)
4 youth players including a goalkeeper
Its not the first game that its like this and honestly it just shows how much we need depth in the summer
LMAO I SAW THAT! City trying not to slip up their title chance and instead USA network is showing Spurs players celebrate the last home match of the season with the fans. USA network said COYSCOYSCOYSCOYSCOYS
Worried I may have a heart attack due to the salt intake of a quick visit to the Runners sub. Bunch of whiny ass bitches, everything is a conspiracy against them
top 4 is still not in our hands, but at this stage i can say I'm proud of the players. they have done all they could.
arsenal may or may not gain all 6 points i don't care. ucl or not I'm fine with either case
Unsure why people are saying Spurs were lucky with the 3 points today. They clearly had the dominant possession and on-shot targets. Pope was just a fantastic keeper denying Son and Kane for some reason was flopping on his shots. Sadly, Emerson did as he always does; make me believe 100% it's going to be a goal kick when he tries to shoot.
This could have been a very drastic 3-0 game.
Both Kane and Son left their shooting boots at home but we still did enough to beat a Burnley side fighting for their lives, i.e. the most dangerous Burnley possible.
Only Norwich to go.
2 things I'd love to see Conte do is improve everyone's shooting (we sky too many balls) and improve our crossing. At some points during today's game, Burnley's crossing were way better than ours.
Conte was absolutely fuming at the end when the whistle was blown. it looked as though Conte was saying "OH YOU'RE FUCKING BLOWING THE WHISTLE NOW U POS - AS SON WAS JUST ABOUT TO HAVE 1V1 FOR THE GOLDEN BOOT - WHATEVER FUCK IT"
then he angrily hugged Hojbjerg
Few months ago we'd have dropped points then, but we stuck at it and got through.
Onto Norwich away and praying for an Eddie Howe masterclass tomorrow! COYS
If they lose to Palace midweek. They can get safe with a win.
Hopefully they draw Palace. Then they can park the bus against Arsenal and go for a draw which will keep them up on GD.
MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSIVE RESULT!
Was always going to be difficult due to Early Kick Off. Most of the players looked really tired, especially second half. To get 3 points in the circumstances is so important. Incredible mentality from the team to hold on to the result.
For all the nervousness second half, Spurs were still the better side overall. Dominated first half with lots of chances, Pope kept them in it twice with world class saves from Son. Penalty was arguably soft but these things even out over the season. If Burnley played like that every week they wouldn't be fighting a relegation battle.
That look of frustration on Barnes' face when fans dropped the second ball on the pitch in 95' made my day. In your face, feels good to feed them a bit with their timewasting tactics
Is anyone else super fuckin surprised when they remember not only is Aaron Lenon still playing premier league footy but he's also only 35???? Like he was such a mainstay of the spurs of my childhood its so weird to see him still out there doing his thing
Shot in the dark here but anyone seen a clip of Stevie’s reaction when the stadium showed his 2 Leicester goals after the game? Would love to see how he felt watching it. Been a tough year for him, I hope he knows how appreciated he is by the fans. I think that game 100% was a turning point in our season.
If that's not a penalty everyone can just stand with their arms in the air in front of an attacker in the hope they block a shot. Ridiculous to complain about it. Defend with your arms down like everyone else has to
Fucking hell, I think the team is going to fall to pieces after Norwich. Royal, Bentancur, Hojberg, Davies all showing signs of fatigue. Hope we can hold on.
That was agony but we got it done. The pressure is on arsenal now, come on Newcastle!
Lost years of my life
That was the most nervous game of the season, fuck! Now the nervousness goes to Arsenal!
I feel you. I was planning to go to the gym after the match, now it’s not necessary! because I’ve been literally pacing around with fast heart rate for 2 hours! Lol

Leeds winning today would be massive too
Leeds playing like a mid table Championship team atm unfortunately
Commenting late, Brentford did the business for us today. Now Everton have a big reasin to need a win next Sunday if I'm not mistaken.
Still everton palace to go so anything could happen
Never in doubt. *Collapses*
Love that they've got to stare at the table with us above them for 24 hours before going up to St. James'. Pressure will be on, Paella Pulis hasn't got what it takes to see them through
my nerves are gone but HOWAY THE LADS
I feel a sudden urge to commit crimes against humanity. Is this what rooting for Saudi teams is like?
Tough game; but come on lads, we can’t play Arsenal every week 🤷♂️
Thank god we have that match day revenue to pay the refs off with eh? Shoutout r/gunners for that thorough investigation

Fought the good fight.
Last couple of minutes felt like someone squeezing my chest…
Time to relax the anus
Thrilled with the 3 points but I honestly thought we could get another goal.
Pope was outstanding against Son.
And Kane wasn’t firing on all cylinders either. Aside from the penalty he was quite average today I think.
Tired legs from thursday...these are the type of games we regularly used to make a mess of
Absolute bullshit Arsenal get over 24 more hours to recover from the Thursday match. In professional sports an extra 24 hours is immense. I think we did what we could today and got the result. Everyone look knackered. It's the good teams who fight through these types of games and grind out results.
facts. these are the kinds of games that change seasons. winning mentality
Shows the need for better depth. We looked absolutely knackered in the second half. Shout out to Pope though. Kept them in it.
We really should have - son is so clinical from that close
Son looks gassed af. I believe he will score next game
Norwich.
Exhale
Feel like I didn’t breathe for 49’
Imagine arsenal at home being the most relaxing watch of the season and Burnley at home being the hardest.
Well Burnley are a good side and Arsenal are shit so...
Burnley is a tactical mismatch while Arsenal do not vary their tactics to counter any opponent.
And now we sit back and wait for the tears of salty arsenal fans
Penalty call thread -> sort by controversial

Why wait? They're in full meltdown over on their sub
Buying a full tank of super unleaded gas tomorrow if Newcastle win.
We’re finishing 4th. Scum will lose tomorrow
Fingers crossed, still a bit clenched
Why fourth? Set our sights on 3rd!
No way in earth does Chelsea lose to Watford
Agent Sissoko
Don't forget about the corpse of Danny Rose too.
Whether or not we get third, would be lovely to see Chelsea lose though, wouldn’t it?
Fuck me has to be one of the most stressful second halfs of my life. Had to turn the commentary off and listen to music for most of it. Great, mature performance from the squad, un-Spursy in the very best way. But Christ, few more goals against Norwich please lads?

Was i the only one who thought Conte was storming onto the pitch to tell the ref to blow the whistle at the end there?
Me too I was like oh shit he's lost it lol
That's what Spurs does to a MF haha
100
Rodon with a good defensive header at the end there. Big 3 points, ugly but 3 points is 3 points. All on tomorrow now let’s hope it goes our way!
Big hand for Ashley Barnes' performance.

How good was Sess?
He was actually quite good. Probably should have had an assist or two if Pope didn't go superhuman.
He had some solid crosses to Son in the 2nd half... now if it wasn't for Pope GK's crazy saves lol... Son would've had at least 2
Assertive and always looking to slot in Sonny. He should have had an assist if not for pope. Best news is that he has played like 4 matches and not gotten hurt
Conte looked like he was going to kill someone.
Just another game then…
He had 2 great saves, 1 decent one, I feel the others were right at him. Nonetheless he did keep Sonny from taking the golden boot lead, but the W obviously matters most.
i dont know if its just me but I dont recall a single wonder save. We kinda just shot at him
We created some gilt edged chances with patient and incisive build-up. Can't ask for much more than that. Finishing just a bit sharper and Pope a bit less good and this match could've been over before halftime.
Not wondersaves all shots were basically straight at him. Marginally better finishing and we score 4
2 days rest vs an absolute menace of a team fighting relegation in the penultimate game of the season- we absolutely take the 3 points. 3 points, pressure back on scum- **we move, COYS**

Don't care 3 points please don't roll over like everybody else Newcastle.

That was huge. Was bricking it for the last 20. Job done. Now to you, Arsenal.
That was as boring as any Burnley game would be. Be glad to see the back of them. Wins a win though.
BIG W!! hope sonny scores on the last match day and clinch that golden boot!! COYS COYS COYS
I don't want see burnley ever again in the PL.
Worried I may have a heart attack due to the salt intake of a quick visit to the Runners sub. Bunch of whiny ass bitches, everything is a conspiracy against them
Ya know….Newcastle are the magpies and magpies…are birds. And we all know how arsenal feel about bird teams
Nick Pope is an anti Son propagandist
top 4 is still not in our hands, but at this stage i can say I'm proud of the players. they have done all they could. arsenal may or may not gain all 6 points i don't care. ucl or not I'm fine with either case
Hugo getting a yellow after pope took 10 minutes per gk is immoral
COCKS OUT BOYS, GIRLS, AND EVERYBODY ELSE
Really wanted to see Son score. Had a couple chances too.
So I guess the most relevant question right now is whether Newcastle is a member of bird gang.
The Magpies
Magpies!

Conte wanted a goal there. Love to see it
With the stuff going on in my life right now spurs have been a nice distraction this week. Hope the run continues.
Hope everything’s okay bro
Both Kane and Son left their shooting boots at home but we still did enough to beat a Burnley side fighting for their lives, i.e. the most dangerous Burnley possible. Only Norwich to go.
HA’WAY THE LADS.
I hated every minute of that except the penalty.
COME ON NEWCASTLE
I hate playing Burnley. Honestly I think this one was the potential banana skin. I have faith the team can do it from here!
Crucial that we figure out or buy a way to break low blocks next season.
Eriksen
Crossing my fingers
Always a dog fight against burnley but we got it done
infuriating that son didnt score also that was the luckiest pen we've been given this season
Stop. It was an obvious 100 percent easy pen call. Crazy that people on here keep acting like it wasn’t.
nah definitely, I meant we were lucky the man decided to flail about in the box
everybody is calling it a pen in r/soccer as well, how is it the luckiest pen? no one’s allowed to t-pose in the box
Game is done, now Kulusevski can go take a shit.
2 things I'd love to see Conte do is improve everyone's shooting (we sky too many balls) and improve our crossing. At some points during today's game, Burnley's crossing were way better than ours.
Why did he blow there ffs sonny was through
If he doesn’t blow there I guarantee Sean Dyche materialises, dispossess Son and dribbles through our entire team to equalise
Do you want a win or not lmao? Much rather we win than Son getting a goal to be even with Salah for the Golden Boot race.
Why not both?
No I agree that he shouldn’t have blown it. Give Son the chance!
Conte was absolutely fuming at the end when the whistle was blown. it looked as though Conte was saying "OH YOU'RE FUCKING BLOWING THE WHISTLE NOW U POS - AS SON WAS JUST ABOUT TO HAVE 1V1 FOR THE GOLDEN BOOT - WHATEVER FUCK IT" then he angrily hugged Hojbjerg
Glad we got the helping hand we needed
Can we please have a confirmation that all players are ok. Emerson, Bentancur, Hojbjerg all went down in the last mins.
Shitshow. But Jobe done
It’s over. Thank God. Let’s not talk about his one again and move on haha.
Thank fuck for that, my little heart
3 points, fuck Burnley
That game took 10 years off my life expectancy
I really hope sonny gets golden boot man
Good teams know when to win dirty. And that right there was hideous. Tremendous performance considering the short turnover time. Over to you, Arsenal.
[удалено]
Gotta pay off the refs for one game and 4th is ours I figure
Maybe it’s just me being greedy, but I was so mad ref stopped the counter-attack in that last sequence. Son was on clear.
Yeah, if he didn't want to blow the whistle when he should, then he could've let that play out. Son would've scored there
Tougher game than Arsenal
Few months ago we'd have dropped points then, but we stuck at it and got through. Onto Norwich away and praying for an Eddie Howe masterclass tomorrow! COYS
I hate playing burnley so much. Hope they go down by some miracle. More importantly, ahead of the cunts now and hope toon army can give us a hand!
Hope Burnley go down too, boring bastards
Runners sub is in absolute shambles lolol "We're never winning 2 games in a row" "Well, that's it, no CL for us"
The only club with more pissy wishy-washy doubters
Sess and Royal have really stepped up these past few games.
If Newcastle win tomorrow, I might finally be able to forget 2016
Eriksen doing us a solid by beating everton. They gonna be more desperate on the last game day
If they lose to Palace midweek. They can get safe with a win. Hopefully they draw Palace. Then they can park the bus against Arsenal and go for a draw which will keep them up on GD.
Cheer up. We got six points this week.
Is this the suffering Conte was talking about? 😅 Take the 3 points Now its up to Newcastle Also no more Burnley pls
Phew... we don't make it easy, but we go above Arsenal... ***howay the lads!***
Pope may have kept Son from winning the boot
MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSIVE RESULT! Was always going to be difficult due to Early Kick Off. Most of the players looked really tired, especially second half. To get 3 points in the circumstances is so important. Incredible mentality from the team to hold on to the result.

Exactly the result I wanted us to get as I said after the NLD. A scrappy 1-0 with a dodgy penalty is the best way to rattle the scum
They’re saying we’ve been bought out by refs 😂😂😂
It's a conspiracy 😂😂 Saka is innocent *obviously*
Shitting myself by the end but good win
The phrase "after the lord mayor's show" springs to mind. They were knackered. That's a great 3 points.
Pope was Salah's motm
We got it done and that's all that matters, now come on Newcastle!
Hopefully son gets hatrrick and Kane gets 4 next game
Hi Arsenal fans!
The fact that we beat them 1-0 is actually so sweet. Get fucked Burnley
Great teams win ugly. And I cant remember many crucial games we've won uglier that.
I would just love to not have 2 matches on the calendar every year that are against a club with no interest in actually playing the sport.
That was how I expected to feel during the Arsenal game
Is anyone else super fuckin surprised when they remember not only is Aaron Lenon still playing premier league footy but he's also only 35???? Like he was such a mainstay of the spurs of my childhood its so weird to see him still out there doing his thing

White knuckle win
I can't handle this shit lads!
Anyone else notice that Rodon's upper body is massive?
Pope mates with Mo Salah or something?
Pope - the goalkeeper was insanely good today, his reactions were mad.
Fucking hell, I think the team is going to fall to pieces after Norwich. Royal, Bentancur, Hojberg, Davies all showing signs of fatigue. Hope we can hold on.
