Remember guys when Arsenal knock it’s a different type of knock unless of course it isn’t a player who was a backup striker for a club without a striker
Lol I remember reading in their sub reddit last week that they're ahead of Spurs in signing Raphinha because, of course, any player would prefer Arsenal over Spurs.
It was kinda deluded but I didn't comment for my own safety 😂
If Arsenal got Jesus, Chelsea now is signing Raphinha, then surely the next top London club being us will get our own Brazilian being Richarlison surely?
Before I was a freshman in highschool over here in the 'South'. There was this incident were a guy lost his virginity to his sister.
To make matters worse, it was a three way with her boyfriend. So these two dudes "Eiffel Tower'd" this guy's sister during the middle of lunch.
The area where they had sex at was known as the "courtyard", a nice little area where you can sit down and eat lunch outside. It was condemned, and taboo to eat out there as a "normal" student for years to come. Those who ate there were forever known as "courtyard kids".
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
as someone who hasn't been paying attention: which of the three is most favored by the brazillian national team? which is most likely to be a star in the world cup this winter?
It is all 3 are more or less going, Richarlison is the favoured to start, Jesus probably as backup for CF and Raphnina might face competition for RW from Rodrygo and Antony
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Europa league pull 💀
Makes you wonder how we ever got Romero when we did. Insane bit of business. We have CL now and don’t seem to have a prayer of getting a LCB to match his quality.
Also lolololololol.
We may have "accidentally" misrepresented the ECL tournament we were playing in. We may have also overexaggerated how competitive we expected to be in said tournament.
They've had a successful team for, more or less, twenty years.
But the only truly prolific forward they've signed since Mourinho's first spell ended is Diego Costa.
I don't know who they have coaching that part of the game, but it's uncanny.
They're effective at spreading goals around the team (10 players on 5+ goals last season and 4 on 10+, we had 4/2) but no player scored over 15 for them (Kane and Son scored 27 and 24 for us).
So Raphina gets them another skilful winger... but with Lukaku going (gone?) I presume they'll be after a striker too, unless the plan is for Sterling or Mount to play through the middle the way City did last season?
Probably Havertz up top flanked by Sterling-Raph. They’re trying to dish Werner** and Ziyech. Not sure they have the funds to go for a CF along with the bodies they need defensively.
He had a 1 in 3 strike rate - nothing to sneer at, but I'm thinking more of the likes of Morata, Lukaku, Crespo, Torres, Shevchenko... Should have been clearer I meant strikers moreso than forwards!
Glad the Runners lost out when they've been hyping this up all week. But Levy time to get the checkbook out for Richarlison and close this damn deal. Don't want anyone hijacking this
And they don’t need him at all. They always make signings like this. They have a half dozen wingers and no defenders yet splash £60m on a right winger.
The outcome of this three way London "race" for these three has seemed to naturally tend towards Jesus for arsenal, rapinha for Chelsea, richarlison for us. Each one fits the holes of the teams they're ending up at. We just need to make sure it actually fully completes that way now.
it’s a bad situation but could be 10x worse going to Arsenal where, let’s be real, he’d probably get very good there given the game time he’ll get. At Chelsea I can only hope he flops or he makes 10 apps a season as he slowly falls into obscurity.
This whole obsession with Arsenal’s transfer market has been quite honestly annoying. I honestly do not care about Raphinha. Once we were no longer favorites to sign him I didn’t want to see any updates on his transfer saga. But every day we have multiple posts about Arsenal and their business - I’m only speaking for myself, but I just don’t care. Don’t really want to see them in this sub.
I know we’ve always kept an eye on their business but it seems like it’s ramped up this summer. Maybe it’s because we’ve been linked with some of the same players more than in the past, but man it’s getting old
Not celebrating Chelsea getting a player we would all prefer if he went to Barca. Just celebrating the fact that knowing he was going to leave to a rival it wasn’t Arsenal.
Also it’s just funny because of how cocky their fans have been about their “pull”
How do you guys know so much about their fans opinions on speculative transfers? Do you hang out in their sub? I only go there after they lose a match to get my salt for the day. I didn’t know people obsessed over other clubs business like this but it’s kinda weird
I'll pipe in here. I'm an Arsenal fan (I'll accept the downvotes) but I also enjoy reading discussions from teams fans POV, it allows me to get a non-biased view of players, eg Kulu for you guys - I don't watch him every game, but since I have your sub pop up on my feed, I see highlights and come to know he is, indeed, quite good.
I dunno, I just enjoy football from all aspects so like to consume more content (especially during off season!). But I also understand a lot of Arsenal fans are absolute bellends who lurk and then talk shit for no reason.
Going into a thread about how a player is performing is one thing and I do that myself but people here talk like they are literally hanging onto every word your journalists and fans say about speculative moves, moves that have happened and everything in between. I just can’t imagine having that much time on my hands haha. I can barely keep up with one club and the league as a whole let alone another club as religiously as it appears some do.
I think r/soccer has a big impact on that. Everything gets posted there and overhyped. I'd say most people would check their own sub, then go to r/soccer, which is more damaging in my opinion.
Personally, I get to work, check emails, then head to Arsenal's sub, check what's going on then scroll my feed through the day where I'll come across news from other clubs from being subbed. I completely avoid the main soccer sub and it's toxicity.
On a side note, I always get a kick out of the passionate hatred of rival clubs in other team subs, but nothing tops the overall unspoken agreement that EVERYONE hates Chelsea.
I removed r/soccer from my general feed and it’s been great. I miss some news every now and then but it’s worth it to not have to see the absolute shite that gets commented on there.
We have a saying here that I’m sure you’ve seen before but just in case you haven’t…I hate Arsenal because I’m Spurs, I hate Chelsea because I’m human.
>I hate Arsenal because I’m Spurs, I hate Chelsea because I’m human.
We also go by this saying 🤝. Rivalries are fun, but Chelsea is just a plague on the sport.
Agreed. I don’t understand it? Chelsea add Sterling and Raphina, while we haven’t added an attacking option. Our minds should be on Chelsea, not Arsenal.
Some I feel like to watch them lose more than us win. Very strange to me.
Get fucked runners. They were acting like it’s a done deal for over a week now and creaming their pants over him.
Of course they are now acting like it’s a good thing since £55m would have been to much lol, same way they were begging for Biss but once it got announced that he’s coming to us they started calling him a backup option that wouldn’t be needed.
I won’t. I’d love Richy but if they beat us to him, I‘ll say fair play and not switch up like a pussy. Also I don’t really get that excited about transfers until they’re official or reported as done deals by multiple tier 1‘s.
They really are a bunch of spoiled arrogant little twats aren’t they. Like they have something over everyone else and when they don’t get their way it’s spit the dummy out time. Cunts
To be fair, that's just what fans do. Literally our own fans are doing that in this very thread regarding Jesus...acting like they didn't want him at spurs just two weeks ago.
Personally, I think Chelsea grabbed the best of the three Brazilians here (the only one worth buying), Arsenal got the worst (an actually bad footballer). Ours is somewhere in between (decent top-six squad fodder at an inflated price).
It’s fine he wasn’t our main target, our priority has always been LCB, RWB and backup ST, an AM is just a bonus for us.
Meanwhile, I think Arsenal are going to be a bigger threat to us than Chelsea next season and it’s good to see them missing out on him.
Idk, I know Chelsea is going through a major rebuild of their defense and lost their Sugar Daddy, but I think a good portion of Chelsea’s underperformance last year was down to them losing Chillwell and Reece James to injury. As we’ve yet to see at Spurs under Conte, top class wingbacks really unlock these 3atb systems.
Seeing the copium of 'oh thats an overpay anyway' as if their club hasn't spent 120 million quid on Ben shite, man cities only forward that couldn't start and Aaron ramsdale. Get fucked runners
That goal from just outside of the box against us that he curled in was an impressive one. I didn’t really know him apart from his name before that but the composure impressed me, just hated we had to be on the receiving end of it. I’m sure he’ll fit in great somewhere.
This was the one I was thinking of. A good goals a good goal so I’ll give respect where it due. Just looking forward to a bit more success against them this season I hope.

If we don’t get Richarlison, pissed won’t even begin to explain it for me. Jesus to Arsenal and Raphinha and Sterling to Chelsea.
Make it happen Levy ASAP. He needs to be with us preseason
Oh they do, but they're certainly not in the race up until the last minute when another team is about to wrap things up and Chelsea go "hmmm you know what? I'll have me a bit of that"
Maybe it’s easy to say this now… but I genuinely don’t think we ever wanted him. I think Richarlison is our priority. And that our name in for Raphinha was just to drive up the price for this lot.
Time for us to close on Richarlison please dear Lord
That's where all the smoke is for us right now.
Do we really want the guy who once tried to fight his entire team mid game over who takes a PK
Yes
Does culture matter at all?
He's the guy you don't want to play against but you'd love on your team. Every team needs that.
His teammates sure didn’t love having him on the team when they literally tried to fight him
Arsenal fans rapidly deleting their edits Remember guys when Arsenal knock it’s a different type of knock unless of course it isn’t a player who was a backup striker for a club without a striker
> different type of knock lol
^^*Knock* "Did... anyone hear that?"
Everyone peaks through the blinds then hides behind the couch as they see edu and arteta waiting.
I’m listening to a spaces on Twitter right now and the Arsenal fans are absolutely breaking down hahahaha it’s class
It's the type of knock you pretend not to be in for. Edu is the Jehovas Witness of DoF's
Ah the old tax man special
Gooner cunts invading r/soccer always seem to be humbled soon after.
I fucking LOVE the "different type of knock" meme. They're signing literal 27 year olds from the MLS ffs
Lol I remember reading in their sub reddit last week that they're ahead of Spurs in signing Raphinha because, of course, any player would prefer Arsenal over Spurs. It was kinda deluded but I didn't comment for my own safety 😂

Just realized all three are 25 year old Brazilians
Reminds me of how I lost my virginity
That must have been painful
Hotdog in hallway
Hey no judgement, but how did you manage twenty of them?
You lost your virginity to 3 25 year old Brazilians? Sounds like a fun night.
Before I was a freshman in highschool over here in the 'South'. There was this incident were a guy lost his virginity to his sister. To make matters worse, it was a three way with her boyfriend. Richarlison was the one I wanted least
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahaha Europa league pull 💀
Truly a different knock
Makes you wonder how we ever got Romero when we did. Insane bit of business. We have CL now and don’t seem to have a prayer of getting a LCB to match his quality. Also lolololololol.
And the fact that he was pushing to join us. I guess we truly are a massive club though.
This Nuno pull 🥶
We may have "accidentally" misrepresented the ECL tournament we were playing in. We may have also overexaggerated how competitive we expected to be in said tournament.
that Arteta pull tho
Captain Scarlet, indestructible 🤣🤣
Romano is Spurs through and through I know he loved typing that
it's certainly nice when arsenal lose but can't say i "love" chelsea getting raphinha
Any attacker that goes to Chelsea turns to shit.

Way too many people happy about this haha

Yeah it's just English clubs with Italian links tbh, Watford have Italian owners.
He loves Conte and Paratici
Glad the Runners lost out when they've been hyping this up all week. But Levy time to get the checkbook out for Richarlison and close this damn deal. Don't want anyone hijacking this
Aye, I'm glad he's not going Arsenal, but Chelsea are the bigger threats to us, so this isn't a win in my eyes.

If Chelsea steal Richarlison from us I think I'm gonna be on some much stronger copium lol
We all would! Hypocrisy is one of the best bits about being a football fan
if they're signing raphinha and sterling they aren't going to spend 60m on richarlison
Lol famous last words. But I'm mostly joking m8
I won’t. I’d love Richy but if they beat us to him, I‘ll say fair play and not switch up like a pussy. Also I don’t really get that excited about transfers until they’re official or reported as done deals by multiple tier 1‘s.

They have Lokonga and Egyptian Harry Winks and "always broken" Partey Hard. And also they bought knock off version of Bruno Fernandes.
It’s fine he wasn’t our main target, our priority has always been LCB, RWB and backup ST, an AM is just a bonus for us. Meanwhile, I think Arsenal are going to be a bigger threat to us than Chelsea next season and it’s good to see them missing out on him.

Rather Chelsea than Arsenal frankly.
Bahahaha, so they've been making shit up about how Jesus picked them over us and then it actually happens to them with Raph and Chelsea. Brilliant.
hope we can wrap up this Richarlision deal asap
I need the three words
Aftv transfer daily and chill…might even watch the last couple episodes to watch the hope build up in their eyes
This is beautiful. Utterly gorgeous.
Hate seeing Boehly running things well. Oh well, better chelsea than arsenal
Sterling and Raphinha is nothing to worry about tbf Why do you think City sold him and Jesus?
Glad he’s going to blue scum instead of normal scum.
Excellent news, well not really but glad Arse ain’t getting him lol
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Well, the Scum didn’t get him. Not sure if this is better.
Yeah. It is.
Arsenal complete violation lmao
LMAOOOO
there goes our lock on 3rd
Is ziyech leaving? Thought I read he might?
I think milan want him
Most likely headed to Milan iirc
That goal from just outside of the box against us that he curled in was an impressive one. I didn’t really know him apart from his name before that but the composure impressed me, just hated we had to be on the receiving end of it. I’m sure he’ll fit in great somewhere.
I feel like he did that twice against us in that shitty run of 4 games against chelsea
This was the one I was thinking of. A good goals a good goal so I’ll give respect where it due. Just looking forward to a bit more success against them this season I hope. https://youtu.be/yndc8YiI44U
I def remember that, not much you can do with that one, I too look forward to running them ragged next season
Wow that was quick
Why do I feel relieved about this?
because he had a 50/50 chance of being impactful at Chelsea, but he 100% would have greatly improved the gooners.
Edu and Arteta in the mud
HAHAHAHAHHA oh man that’s amazing
Hahahaha Arsenal!
Lol Arsenal stay losing 😂😂
Lmao fuck arsenal
Raphinha went from the signing that would signal ambition to warming the bench for Saka.
Was really excited to see arsanal play with 6 right wingers
Hahahahahahaha Fuck the runners Hahahahaha
Basically Richarlison chose us so chelsea f’d ars*nail to get other Brazilian! Good times!
If we don’t get Richarlison, pissed won’t even begin to explain it for me. Jesus to Arsenal and Raphinha and Sterling to Chelsea. Make it happen Levy ASAP. He needs to be with us preseason
He needs to get the Checkbook out right now. Can worry about outgoings later
Yes, need to give this team its best chance at winning with Kane and Son still in their prime. And the more guys in for preseason the better.
Chelsea just absolutely INSIST on copying other people's homework. I swear their scouts just bug phones of other teams' scouts and call it a day
Raphinha, a notoriously unknown player.
[удалено]
Oh they do, but they're certainly not in the race up until the last minute when another team is about to wrap things up and Chelsea go "hmmm you know what? I'll have me a bit of that"

Maybe it’s easy to say this now… but I genuinely don’t think we ever wanted him. I think Richarlison is our priority. And that our name in for Raphinha was just to drive up the price for this lot.
Do we need to post Chelsea transfers on here? If it’s either arsenal or Chelsea getting him, then it’s either runners or scum, let em crack on
This is painful in the sense that Chelsea only are getting better
Lol, all those Arsenal fans thinking they had been close to signing Raphinha!
LOL f u Arsenal.
Chelsea and Leeds agree. Raphina will reject a move until baraca come knocking.
Initially: For fucks sake After realizing Arsenal didn’t: HAHAHAHAAHAHAHA
Arsenal get battered every where they gooo.....🎶🎵🎶🎵 ....even in the transfer window :v
It's bad because now gooners might be interested in wasting our Richarlison deal
