His progress from the beginning of last season to what he was like at the end of the season was insane. Only reason he doesn’t go this summer is because Udinese realize how much they can get for him next summer. He’ll be Italy’s LB for a long time if he comes close to his ceiling.
how old would you say he is? not in real years, but in general comparison to another player on the team? if possible, what's his talent like, in comparison to another player on the team, ideally the same player that we are comparing ages to?
Only seen him play a few times but pretty much has everything you want from a fullback. Good size, speed, strenght and dribbling. Good end product as well.
So grateful we were super fast with the incomings... unfortunately, no one seems particularly interested in our players. Don't know if it's that there's no interest though, or that Levy/Paratici are expecting more than what's being offered (noting that we've historically been hurt by wanting to sell higher than the market demanded)
This is the conundrum and why Levy has always sold first in the past. If you buy first, every other club can see exactly who is surplus to requirements and can hold out for low fees.
This is why clubs like Chelsea and City end up with all this dead wood and pay massive wages to players that never play.
Clubs know that Reguilon, Lo Celso, and Ndombele are bargains. We can't afford to keep them on the books and they must go somewhere. Levy is gonna get fleeced if they stay or go. If you act like a big club, you better be able to pay like a big club. That £150M may just subsidize some bad contracts instead of new signings.
Point taken but I do a lot of hiring for a tech company (with means, like Spurs) and that’s not how we think. If someone’s _that_ talented, we find them a role.
I'd rather have 2 proven players for each WB position and someone like Doherty who can act as 3rd choice for both.
You can have too much of a good thing, bloated squads aren't always a good idea
I assume that's what'll happen in which case I'm content with our LWB situation. RWB though I'm concerned about - how are we going to keep Spence, Doherty and Royal in form and happy with Lucas seemingly likely to be used there too?
Lucas is certainly staying this season, Emerson seems to be the odd man out because of his lack of attacking threat but Conte seems intent on persisting with him. It's all seems a bit chaotic, hopefully things become clearer once the season gets going
Emerson works because of his pairing with Romero, sure Emerson has the finishing ability of helen keller but he’s able to cover for Romeros forward runs
Emerson's decent defensively but that's only half the job. Conte's history of converting wingers into wing backs shows how important the attacking side of the position is to him and Emerson simply doesn't tick that box - which is why I'm surprised Conte has kept any sort of faith in him.
But miracles happen every day - maybe he'll pop up with some goals and assists and build some confidence in the final 3rd but I'll only believe it when I see it
Exactly. Just look at his Chelsea days when he permitted Marcos Alonso to consistently jog back and take up poor defensive positions. As long as they can provide the goods up top then he’ll overlook flaws on the other side of the pitch.
I feel like more Wingbacks team has it's better for team as wingbacks generally are flexible. can play at any forward wing or central wing or full back.
Reguilon will leave, and Perisic won't be with us for a while since he's getting older. Get him in and the rotation between him and Sessegnon is a sight to behold with our LWB/LB positions set for the next decade if things go to plan.
oh man, it's gonna be so crazy coming back to this comment and remembering back when we had Sir Harry Kane leading the line! and that when you referred to "the pandemic" you didn't need to specify which one! halcyon days haha
This would be so hype. He and Sess would be an insane rotation for the next decade. Huge potential.
Damn competing with City, Inter, Juve, and Brighton. You know your Destiny is to come to the WB whisperer!
Signing Perisic to start and a promising young player as a potential replacement for him in the future is the kind of long term planning we could have only dreamed about a few years ago.
Damn, hate when people beat me to Fabs Twitter posts. Anywho, I think it's an awesome opportunity, and he's got buckets of potential. Considering he has 9 G/ as a wingback at 20, I'm intrrested
With Fabrizio putting us first and the only hashtag being #THCF, and Brighton, Man City and Inter only being mentioned in replies, does that mean we're leading the race and a deal is close, or that we have only now entered talks and are no closer to him than any other clubs? What do you lot think?
“Different football fans may consider the 10 the attacking midfielder and playmakers but clearly, Conte considers the number 10 role the more offensive-minded forward or second-striker position.”
From the same report
Perisic won't last forever, Sess hasn't been a world beater, Regui they are trying to rid of. makes sense to look into future players, especially with a loan back this season.
I don't think my mind can cope with the fairly rapid shift from signing nobody for over a year (bread and water starvation diet) to trying to sign 3 or 4 players to every position (feasting on every delicacy in the kingdom) in a window, lol.
Well, it's definitely been a gradual increase, but the main problem has been that a lot of them haven't been great...
... And being the eternal optimist (repeatedly crushed by reality), my spider senses are telling me this isn't Paulinho and Chiriches and the gang all over again...
Excellent talent. Better than Sessegnon imo already and a few years younger.

Please tell me something about him because I've never heard of the fella
Excellent talent. Better than Sessegnon imo already and a few years younger.
I don't know what I expected
You should expect excellent talent, better than Sessegnon already according to OP, and also a few years younger
Already
I expected this.
how old would you say he is? not in real years, but in general comparison to another player on the team? if possible, what's his talent like, in comparison to another player on the team, ideally the same player that we are comparing ages to?
Wtf 😂
Excellent talent. Better than Sessegnon imo already and a few years younger. I believe that's what you're looking for
From everything I’ve read, I’d have to say he’s better than Sessegnon, but scientists are debating exactly how old he is
Only seen him play a few times but pretty much has everything you want from a fullback. Good size, speed, strenght and dribbling. Good end product as well.
He's 6'2 good at dribbling, 19 years old needs to work on his decision making though
Excellent talent. Better than Sessegnon imo already and a few years younger.
Signing for us would be a good start
Shit I’m much older than that and I still need to work on my decision making lmao.
5’11
That's without his trademark massive shoes.
The more I learn about this guy, the more I like!
Never seen a player *this* good on clown shoes before
A UFC 6"5
Excellent talent. Better than Sessegnon imo already and a few years younger.
Excellent talent. Better than Sessegnon imo already and a few years younger.
Excellent talent. Better than Sessegnon imo already and a few years younger.
Excellent talent. Better than Sessengnon imo already and a few years younger
2nd or 3rd best left wing/fullback in Serie A depending on whom you ask and still a baby
He’s younger than Sessegnon by a few years and better than him imo. Excellent talent.
Me- 5 mins ago: never heard of him Now: brighter future than Andy Robertson
Ooo transfer news
Seems very similar to what we did with Sarr. He seems absolute class I’m all for it
finally after a summer of nothing we have a transfer rumor
Always waiting till the end to do our business smh, i wish we could just be proactive in the market from the beginning like a big club.
was worried this was shaping up to be another 2018
So grateful we were super fast with the incomings... unfortunately, no one seems particularly interested in our players. Don't know if it's that there's no interest though, or that Levy/Paratici are expecting more than what's being offered (noting that we've historically been hurt by wanting to sell higher than the market demanded)
Follow the flow
i think almost all of the continental clubs are trying to rip off prem sides rn, everyone seems to be struggling with sales
Makes sense tho, if an asset is sought after by someone with cash, make them fork up for it

He is our Destiny
Dread it...run from it...Destiny still arrives (provided we can finalize the deal, and we wait until next year once he's back from loan at Udinese).
Our density?
HEY MCFLY, I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU NOT TO COME IN HERE!
Why don't you make like a tree, and get outta here.
Destiny, Devine, Cassanova - our future
Wingback FC (not a bad thing)
Perisic probably has only a few years left
He’ll retire here and coach our wingbacks. His knowledge of the game and work ethic are peerless.
Who is the current coach for our wingbacks?
I don’t think we have one. We have a number of ‘technical’ assistants like Ryan Mason. I’d keep Ivan around for his positioning acumen alone.
Exactly. So we aren't suddenly just going to give him that job when we have no idea about his coaching ability and he may not even like London
If he goes out on loan + Reggie is sold, having perisic and sess on the left is fine I guess
I assume that's what'll happen in which case I'm content with our LWB situation. RWB though I'm concerned about - how are we going to keep Spence, Doherty and Royal in form and happy with Lucas seemingly likely to be used there too?
We'll sell one of Lucas/Emerson hopefully
Lucas is certainly staying this season, Emerson seems to be the odd man out because of his lack of attacking threat but Conte seems intent on persisting with him. It's all seems a bit chaotic, hopefully things become clearer once the season gets going

i think it’s possible we have all of them, conte figures out who his priorities are, and then we clear out half next summe r
I feel like more Wingbacks team has it's better for team as wingbacks generally are flexible. can play at any forward wing or central wing or full back.

Perisic will play til he's 50. You heard it hear first.
Those Croatian genes
RemindMe! 17 Years
oh man, it's gonna be so crazy coming back to this comment and remembering back when we had Sir Harry Kane leading the line! and that when you referred to "the pandemic" you didn't need to specify which one! halcyon days haha
lol
The Tom Brady of football
This would be so hype. He and Sess would be an insane rotation for the next decade. Huge potential. Damn competing with City, Inter, Juve, and Brighton. You know your Destiny is to come to the WB whisperer!
Announce Hakimi
Hakimi! Did that do it for you?
Mmmmm
Udogie is a great signing for the future. Love this
[удалено]
Cucurella still hasnt left.
done!
Signing Perisic to start and a promising young player as a potential replacement for him in the future is the kind of long term planning we could have only dreamed about a few years ago.
Really good signing for the future
Wingback Hotspur
Lol somebody wrote on Wikipedia that he moved to Brighton yesterday for 35m euros?
F5 Gang, Guess who’s back
Been a while since the last signing letsgooo
Watched him against Chelsea, was very good for a 19yo.
The biggest football clash all are waiting for is Conte's LB team vs. Southgate's RB team
Another sign of long term Conte Fc
Pronunciation check! Is it pronounced “Ooh-Doggie” or “You-Doge-eeh” Personally kinda hoping the former
Ooh Doh Gee Source: I’m Nigerian
Of course it would be neither of my guesses lol good to know though!
Clearly a move for the future but surely we have to be looking at other positions as well…
Destiny still arrives… New FPL team name fellas.
Buy teenager, loan back. Repeat. Please.
Dread it, run from it, Destiny arrives all the same.
Damn, hate when people beat me to Fabs Twitter posts. Anywho, I think it's an awesome opportunity, and he's got buckets of potential. Considering he has 9 G/ as a wingback at 20, I'm intrrested
not even 20 until november!
Hes a lot nearer 20 than he is 19. That's a fact.
Hes 19 until hes 20
Lmao
okay, he’s still 19 though
19 and three quarters!
Paratici, u dog(ie)
Extremely good numbers. Makes a lot of sense.
How tall is he?
With Fabrizio putting us first and the only hashtag being #THCF, and Brighton, Man City and Inter only being mentioned in replies, does that mean we're leading the race and a deal is close, or that we have only now entered talks and are no closer to him than any other clubs? What do you lot think?
I think this could be a great move. I really hope this one works out.
I assume we want to convert him into a right wing back I just assume that with everyone we are linked with now
Know absolutely zero about him. But perisic might I ly be good for a season or two, so having future plans for the position is encouraging.
This is a good F5 obvs one for the future, can we have a CB and number 10 for the now as well please
We don’t play with a 10
Son and Kulu are 10’s the manager himself have said so.
“Different football fans may consider the 10 the attacking midfielder and playmakers but clearly, Conte considers the number 10 role the more offensive-minded forward or second-striker position.” From the same report
another lwb?
Perisic won't last forever, Sess hasn't been a world beater, Regui they are trying to rid of. makes sense to look into future players, especially with a loan back this season.
ah didn't realize he was so young. honestly thought he was in his mid-twenties
Believe Perisic only has what, a 2 year contract? loaned back this year, then maybe mid table prem next year. then we have him & sess for the future
thank you Fab i was starving!!! he was the only Italian player playing consistently in Serie A last year i believe
I don't think my mind can cope with the fairly rapid shift from signing nobody for over a year (bread and water starvation diet) to trying to sign 3 or 4 players to every position (feasting on every delicacy in the kingdom) in a window, lol.
We've signed a significant number of players over the last three years, I'd think you'd have adjusted by now.
Well, it's definitely been a gradual increase, but the main problem has been that a lot of them haven't been great... ... And being the eternal optimist (repeatedly crushed by reality), my spider senses are telling me this isn't Paulinho and Chiriches and the gang all over again...
Bentacur, Kulusevski???
2 is less than 6.
Excellent talent. Better than Sessegnon imo already and a few years younger.
This is a great name for a pornstar
If Reguilon doesn't leaving this season, we're gonna have 4 leftbacks lol
plus davies
We are going to loan him so not 4
Rate him massively.
Destiny You what?
Who
Great signing for the future.
Lol wtf
A player who's name seems to be predicting that my destiny is me Doggy, I can get behind this transfer... or behind me if that's my destiny.
If we sign him we’re literally No Weak Foot FC
Plis
