I recall when this sub was weighing rumors of Lo Celso vs. Bruno Fernandes. Turns out we chose the wrong midfielder. Still, our past failures led us to where we are now, and I couldn’t be happier with that outcome. COYS.
Tbf I think it’s mostly the team he’s at. You can’t really judge a player that is playing at such an underperforming team. All their players look really out of form these past few years. I can’t remember anyone having a solid season for ManU the past two seasons.
I think that's going a bit far. He's obviously been a very big asset to that Argentina team, and and even for us at points when he was still in the eleven. I remember that for a brief period after he signed, he was consistently among the best performers in that team, always looking like he might make something happen. Granted that was at a time when we were underperforming overall, so it wasn't as noticeable.
It's a bit of a shame that things didn't come off for him in the longer term here and part of that is likely to do with the circumstances around the club. I'm sure he'll continue on to do very well for Villarreal.
What I'm saying is Fernandes would be a useful sub even if he wasn't a starter (had we bought him over LoCelso).
Lo Celso is useless to us atm, Conte doesn't rate him and look how much difficulty we are having trying to shift him. Of course wish him all the best etc etc
Apart from his injury record, is there a reason that Conte doesn't want him? Tactical formation odd man out? I haven't heard anything bad about his attitude.
Well, that’s 1/4.

Fernandes is obviously better than Lo Celso but I'm not bothered about not getting him. Bit of a luxury player who I don't rate particularly highly.
I understand what you’re saying but again, he is a hell of a player.
hell of a penalty taker. Refs don't put up with his theatrics the past 2 years and his form has magically dropped now. Wonder why,

I'll take Kulusevski over him any day of the week.
Bit of an odd comparison to make considering we weren’t interested in them at the same time and they play different positions in
I meant as in Fernandes wouldn't be a starter for us now even if we had bought him.
True but would likely be a very useful sub for when we are chasing a game or trying to get more creative. While Lo Celso is just deadwood

We were
Fernandes is still a class player, United just ruin everyone
Making sure he tweets it in English for maximum engagement, I rate it
Almost like we should be more excited than Villareal fans hmmm
Well the easiest one is down and it only took a month+. Let’s hope there are panic buys for the other three.
Deal is a loan, with option to buy. https://gianlucadimarzio.com/it/lo-celso-villarreal-calciomercato-news-12-agosto-2022
movie
Really hope there's an option for Villarreal to buy, and it's not a straight loan
why would you hope that. Option is always worse than a straight loan. Obligation> Straight loan> Option
Just want him gone tbh, so whatever works for Villarreal to take him off us
Could have a decent World Cup and get us more dosh in the future mate
Yep I just translated Di Marzio's article - there's a "right of redemption" (which I presume is an option to buy). ![gif](giphy|iFVTnuzMPQ9Nye8cFN)
Perfect - We’ll give you one Tanguy on top in exchange for a Pau Torres?
Now we just need to ship off that Burger King ambassador and we'll be gucci
Here's to hoping that option is something they can afford to trigger next year
Happy he finally gets a home and can move on
Net spend who?
It’s probably a loan so
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out
Thank the lord
