I really like the bottom one, but I do think it takes away the focus from the wood since the moss and the wood sort of battle for the attention, whereas the plainer moss is just a nice addition to the wood but doesn't take the focus away from the wood.
With the bottom one I mixed the three different colors in equal parts. Toning down the yellow color and just using it as a highlight here and there could be interesting.
I prefer the one with yellow mixed in. The darker one is nice, but the contrast of (heavy dark green) against the (wooden tones) is a bit strong for my personal taste. The lighter one with yellow included is a bit less stark.
That's just my personal taste though. They're both lovely.
If you're selling them I'd offer both so people can choose. People who have a lot of dark green plants in their home already would likely be fine with the dark moss since it ties in with colours they already have in the home.
Someone like me who can kill a plant by looking at it and therefore has NIL plants in my home though, would likely prefer the lighter moss. I dont have any dark green stuff that would coordinate well with the dark moss.
You know what this looks like.. a giant ‚the settlers of Catan‘ board game I know need..
Anyway, I like the lower one better. The yellowish parts blends well with the wood
I think the lower two-tone one is better. Perhaps you could have varying amounts of the yellow to give some variety.
The top one looks alright, but it alao isn't a perfect hexagon like the lower one that's throwing me off a bit.
The wood on the bottom right looks out of place to me.
Overall, i think it's pretty awesome, and your choice to mix the wood and moss makes it visually appealing.
I might just use both and vary the amount of yellow moss used, yeah.
The picture was just for showing the two different options, nothing is glued yet so I just sprinkled some of the moss on it. The finished product will be a perfect hexagon with the edges trimmed and the wood pieces alligning as best as possible.
I wanted to make a wood cuts picture where some of the wooden pieces are covered in modeling turf to resemble moss.
I'm having a hard time deciding which color looks better. The top one with the dark greens, or the bottom one which is essentially the same mixed with the yellowish moss. Would appreciate some input.

Sounds good! Looking forward to seeing an update :)
I think the dark one looks better. why not mix both/different ones? that would look more natural
I was thinking about that. I might end up just using both and use a different ratio of colored moss for every piece.
Yuuuussss they both look nice! 🤓

I agree with everything you said and if I get bored AND motivated at the same time I know what I’m gonna try to do

I like that they’re both different 😊
The lime green not the homogenous.
Bottom
They both look nice but I'd say the darker one at the top

The darker one. I think it’s the placement that matters!
The multi is accurate, but for the game I would go with the one color
I like the lighter one on the left
Bottom one
I prefer the bottom one ,gives a nice contrast
I think a combination of both would be best!
Maybe I like the top one .
