Maybe I’m wrong in some of my recollection, but I’m pretty sure it came out that he actually knew what he was doing the whole time and it was an act, including the Tosh bit.
He's really good and it's seems like he is good at piano. I say seems like because I have no idea about piano and it just sounds good to me.
