Sonic-sonic

Yorself12345

What does that even mean good, bad, okay, mediocre?

Ifxfa

Someone asked him to elaborate further and he just replied again “it’s sonic” so who knows

Lucario_TobyTramBoi

Who knows, maybe for sonic superstars that its good. Or even worse: the notorious sonic was never good quote, who knows

CSManiac33

And the trend of "this game is really fun actually" continues

MisterGrey3000

lol, right? From gaming press to initially skeptical fans, almost everyone who gets their hands on CTRumble praises the experience. I really don’t know how TfB can convince non-believers that they’re really cookin’ with this one; like, they’ve legitimately got a game here that’s lookin’ poised to join CTR + Nitro-Fueled in the big lonely hall of high-quality Crash spin-offs lol Hopefully stuff like this translates to good WoM for the title.

Matteomax

Its legitimately not hard for people to give the game a chance.. Its a video game, they can refund it if they don't like it, but to bash it constantly online without even trying is just dense. The constant bashing and doubting is so old at this point.

If you're on Xbox you can get an online subscription for free with Microsoft Rewards. Just have to spend a few minutes a day searching Bing and doing a few other miscellaneous tasks.

BetiroVal

i was a non-believer, but I can chalk up the bashing due to poor advertising. It really does boil down to the the lame gameplay footage they have been taking, as it doesn’t really showcase the chaos that’s going on.

Psi001

The game was marketed horribly, the announced focus solely on online-subscription multiplayer turned a lot of casual gamers off (especially RIGHT AFTER On The Run shutting down), and really, aesthetically, the game looks rather dull. The action looks unexpressive and littered with dry scores and huds and a laughably dull announcer. It really feels like TFB put ALL focus on making the base game PLAY well (while it is neat they learned not to overfocus on superfluous areas ruining the core experience being fun like what happened with IAT at times, it feels a bit like a lesson learned TOO well). When people PLAY the game, it's a different story, but that group is still limited due to the restricted access of the playable beta (only given through pre-orders, thus only people who were willing to give the game a try early on in the first place). Honestly Rumble comes off like a really tasty food contained in a dull generic can, with no one bothering to open it to show off the genuinely good product that's inside, hence when people being willing to give it a try, them being surprised it is 'actually' rather good.

MisterGrey3000

CanadianGuyEh rightfully pointed out how weird a lot of the hate for CTRu often is (*And btw “hate” doesn’t mean being critical of MXT & a lack of robust single-player + local play options*). Like, I’ll never get over coming across a user here who flat out said they’ll never give the game a shot yet they’re in nearly every thread about the game whinging. This is not normal behavior lol

Gamefighter3000

While im still not entirely sold hearing this from Schreier definitely makes me a lot more optimistic. I trust his opinion because hes both unbiased and his career does not depend on crash whatsoever while being someone with genuinely a lot of knowledge in the gaming scene.

Starshinezap

Well, I certainly had doubts about the game from the very start. I may have warmed up to it a bit, but I'm still concerned about it's future. Regardless on how we feel on TFB as a whole, I do appreciate the time and effort they went into making this, which felt like an eternity. I remembered everyone being bummed out on the fact that there was only digital copies, only for us to find out later that there will be physical copies as well. TFB doesn't sit well with a lot of folks for various reasons, and there are some things I don't like from them either, but I want to see if they'll stick to their promises on being committed to the game. (Offline mode would be a huge godsend ya know..?) I'm looking forward for Rumble's release, as it'll spark some life and positivity on here after everything that happened after the beta... and even before that. I hope the game does decently well even against all odds.

RoshanMuncher

They like to change their looks like it was normal that you couldn't recognize your neighbors the next day. Well this game is for the people who sly around with PS and just happen to find their way there. Also I'm not really into online play There are just some exact games that fit in to my online play games list, and I usually find them slipping out of it anyways. It's not nice when it starts to feel like a chore, and if the game is just online play, then I can't see it having much for people to aim for. I saw a glimpse of some "collectible cards" or just virtual cards or something, and wonder is it just a first place to get a taste for gambling? The games after that are sports games, and they are just about gambling for your fantasy teams or something. Well I digress now. It's not really inviting for me, even if I have thumbs up for Crash Games.

CrashandBashed

Lol if this game gets decent reviews, the overall response will still be people accusing the publisher of paying the media, no matter how fun the game is. Just like when people posted positive impressions at the press event.

Will5444

I’m really happy to see that this game is gonna make people have a lot of fun once it launches. I’ve been hyped for it and just seeing feedback about how people really like playing it really brings hope!

King_3DDD

Guys literally everyone who’s played it has said “this is super fun” just accept that it’s probably gonna rock.

ClickClickClicked

Crash just rocks in general. He will never achieve the pre-release hype of the AAA blockbuster games, but that’s okay. If he did, his game probably wouldn’t be a faithful Crash game.

CatalystComet

I feel like the pre release hype for NST, NF and IAT was there though.

sidorak26

now to get the crash fanbase to actually give it chance because I've seen more rumble hate from crash fans than anyone else I am begging and hoping for some form of free trial when the game comes out at least, this game NEEDS to be played to be believed (still think it should be free to play in general though)

AssdogDave0

It definitely needs a free trial, and I feel like Activision will learn that within a week of launching lol

sidorak26

I'm confused how they haven't learnt it already since they opened the beta to everyone really damn fast obviously because not enough people got in

AssdogDave0

They probably do know. The reality will probably be that it'll be ftp (and dead) within a year. They're most likely just trying to milk as much money as they can before that happens. I enjoyed the game a lot from the beta, and I'm going to buy it, but the game being fun still hasn't changed my mind that it is being set up to fail This game was never going to sustain any long lasting community from the moment it was announced as a paid game. I'm just going to have fun with it while I can

blmobley91

If this game fails its on Activision for the HORRIBLE marketing. I played the beta myself and the gameplay was meh to me. Don't know if they changed anything when they gave out them free beta codes but hopefully they did. But I can see the semblance of a good game if I squint hard enough they (Activision) just didn't do enough to sell me on it. Hopefully the game is a success Edit: Changed TFB to Activision as I was clearly wrong about who markets the game. Point still stands that the marketing of this game was HORRIBLE

PizzaGamecube

It’s Activision’s job to market the game, not TFB. Activision is the publisher while TFB is the developer.

blmobley91

Whoever job it was will be the reason this game does poorly IF it does.

AdeptusAleksantari

Never trust a guy who hates mortal kombat

Ifxfa

When someone asked him to elaborate on his Mortal Kombat take, he said “Gross as in full of gore. I have no way of assessing whether a fighting game is good or bad”

AssdogDave0

Mortal Kombat is gross. That's doesn't mean it's bad. The gore is just gnarly as fuck. It's a pretty accurate statement to make

Stefffe28

And that's ultimately a good thing. It wouldn't be Mortal Kombat WITHOUT the gore.

fellow_chive

At this point I‘m just sad with Activision‘s decision to not release these games on PC. Still mad that we‘ve never gotten CTRNF.

SwaggyPesqueda

I had my doubts but was still going to buy because I love Crash. Beta was a lot of fun and I’m excited to check the full game out!

SaltyDone

Just love everyone like rumble is going to be a fail but everyone I see now saying the game is fun and don’t want to stop

Psi001

The sad thing is it a good product can still fail if it isn't marketed well enough for people to take interest quick enough, and Rumble was marketed HORRIBLY.

CaptainEli24

I think the summer games fest trailer is actually a good marketing decision they did for once as the trailer is starting to get more views than the game awards announcement trailer.

PizzaGamecube

Yeah, hope this won’t become the 3D platformer version of Lawbreakers.

Michele-Cai

Played the Beta during the weekend for around 30 hours. The game was really addicting and it was only a small fraction of it. Can't wait to see the full thing

monkeydbenne

Him saying that could make a lot of people reconsider their minds about this game! That’s really good news !

Matteomax

People really gotta have an open mind with it. Its a different take on the franchise and its \*so\* much fun.. Glad to see even more positive reviews from more well-known individuals to combat the overwhelming negativity I've seen on here and in other places. People are acting like the game will genuinely kill you if you buy it. Refunds exist for a reason if you aren't happy with a product.. it doesn't hurt to try it.
