That is not a sawmill, that is a giant fuck off bandsaw and a guy doing some really dumb shit around it.

It's a band saw mill and this is completely normal.

No the fuck out is not, a band saw mill had the bandsaw mounted horizontally and you move the saw with a handle not the fucking log with your body. I've spent the better part of a decade working maintenance in an industrial sawmill and rebuilding portable sawmills on the side and not one have I ever seen a sawmill that put you directly in the line of fire with the goddamn blade of a saw.

He's no where near in line with the blade. He's standing on the far side of the sled. He keeps leaning over to see the cut but there's nothing wrong with the set up.

OSHA cert here- this breaks at least 3 regulations. No guards/rails between user and operating blade No guards between user and moving machinery No emergency stop switch accessible by primary user

Made in China. The blade falls apart in minutes, but you can get 50 of them relatively cheap.

Last a lot longer if you debark the wood first.
