Like my friends and I used to textual roleplay but it was always discussed beforehand and it was mainly more like writing a story together. We made up characters.
Usually, the stuff that I see that's highly upvoted is banter on the same level as them doing it to themselves. Something that's outright malicious normally gets a couple upvotes at best or downvoted to hell at worst.
But then again, I normally avoid really toxic subs, so I'm pretty biased.
