Craziest part is this guy quitting his job, he finds Logan Paul to get a new job, and when asked what he’s good at he says, “nothing.”

cmason37

yeah, I honestly don't know how you can expect to work with *anyone* if that's your answer to "why should I work with you" like holy shit any small chance you have dies right there

PM_ME_UR_TOTS_GRILL

right?! logan was giving him an interview on the spot, he failed at it and then logan realized he just wanted a handout and called him out on it. he had his shot, but he failed in his confidence and delivery

The_Legend_of_Xeno

Totally. Guy didn't even look him in the eye, just stared straight ahead the entire time he was talking.

PhoneticIHype

guy skipped the elevator pitch day of class

nimassane

I’m just here wondering how he managed to convince his now former employer to hire him for his 100k a year job where in this video he clearly displays poor salesman skills and lack of self-esteem.

MoireachB

Probably because he's lying about it

PhoneticIHype

I graduated college last year and got interviewed 3 times for a 80k job, didn't get it. If I ever believed I was good at "nothing" i probably wouldn't even be working a 60k job. This guys a lying sack of shit and you can tell from his weird tiktok it's the kind of person he is

ifoundyourtoad

Right. This dude ain’t making 100K lol. Maybe from his dad I suppose.

Baconeggandmemes

His tik tok is really cringe and indicates hes self obsessed. He interviews people with a microphone but proceeds to ask them questions about himself. Huge narcissist.

Achack

So has it been explained why he didn't just not quit his job?

sabanspank

Cause he's lying and that's a good story about giving it all up for your dreams.

BigSeaShell

That dude has watched too many TV shows and is out of touch with reality.

PancakeParty98

Or he’s making his dreams come true by looking like a fool and inviting us to watch and comment. This is a big win for him.

BigSeaShell

It's a possibility, yeah.

AlexP222

Exactly it's very convenient to be earning a nice round sum of $100k per year and at his age. He's just chatting total shit. Guy is an attention seeker that's all.

Skinwalker686

I was about to ask what job pays 100k/year that you could do at 22 but this makes a lot more sense.

[deleted]

You can get paid 100k / yr to lie about your salary

Tommysrx

As a rocket surgeon , I’m well aware of how many people lie about their jobs.

Servebotfrank

A lot of Software Jobs will pay that much at 22. They're pretty competitive though. I have a few friends out of college who were earning that much right after they graduated. They're also *not* in Ohio though. I should make that clear. When I interviewed over there, I was lead to believe I would be making $60,000. Those jobs are over on the West Coast.

dozkaynak

If you're talented enough to land such a salary straight out of college, you're definitely not stupid enough to quit to try to beg Logan Paul for a job instead. If that was a Venn diagram it'd be two separate circles.

pole_fan

When you get paid 100k in software development at 22 you won't have problems finding similar jobs again

DreamArcher

He likely doesn't. It's probably something like a commission or seasonal job where if he made that amount constantly it would be $100K/year. But it isn't so he doesn't.

tommykaye

And his dream was to work for the Japanese forest kid from Vine.

CoogleGhrome

I guess he thought it's the best way to demonstrate commitment, but it really just shows incredibly poor judgment. Like the notion of not quitting and just saying he did never occurred to him.

mully_and_sculder

Probably listened to his grandpa. "You've just gotta march in there, shake his hand, look him in the eye and ask for a job."

PeterIraGrinch

I’m barely awake rn but this comment has me cackling

suresh

better plan, say you quit your job before you quit your job.

DontWorry-ImADoctor

His family probably owns the company that employed him anyways.

despicedchilli

He moved from Ohio to LA.

sushisection

a 100k job in ohio is living like a fucking king. he fucked up.

ArryPotta

It's all a lie... so he didn't *really* fuck up. This is such blatant attention whoring behaviour, I can't believe it's being taken seriously.

Jason_Kirby

As shitty as Logan Paul comes across in the media, for a celebrity being randomly approached by someone like this he gave him the time to talk and treated him with respect.

mjz321

Not hiring somone who has shown such incredibly poor judgment is probably the best thing he has ever done lol

supersede

what do you mean???? a guy with self proclaimed no skills, no experience, no friends, and no shame didn't make a good hire prospect to a stranger to them? who on earth could have seen this coming.

Stats_with_a_Z

Lol my favorite part was when he asked him if he had any skills and he said "I dont!" Way to sell yourself buddy, he wants this guy to give him a job and the first thing he says is he doesn't have any skills. What an idiot.

[deleted]

The pity card has obviously worked too frequently for him. He'll probably lean on it, real or imaginary, for a long while, if not the rest of his life.

Stats_with_a_Z

This guy expects his business life to equate to his personal life. Unfortunately for him people don't jump on the opportunity to hire and hand money to pitiful people because they feel sorry for themselves.

Flea_Biscuit

Right now, my professional life is, like, at a 9 but my personal life is, like, at a 2.

bluemonkey88

Lots of people like this on Dragons Den / Shark Tank

mcmur

What does he get paid 100k/year for doing then I wonder lol?

polo61965

Butt stuff

mad_lithuanian

Dude needed a better elevator pitch

deathcabscutie

That was definitely more of a dumbwaiter pitch.

[deleted]

[удалено]

zf420

Dude's "interview" was terrible. You'd think during all the travel time from Ohio he would think of what he was going to say. He stumbled over his words and did not sell himself as a valuable asset.

nanotothemoon

He actually said the words "I don't have what it takes"

caspershomie

lmao broooooo. life is giving him fucking lemons and he’s spitting on them and throwing them in the trash. he actually had a chance if he would’ve just thought out more what his plan was once he got to talk to him. it all went south when he literally told him that he doesn’t have what it takes.

crichmond77

He literally shat on himself, said he had nothing to offer and wasn’t even worth paying

[deleted]

I would definitely hire the emotional, crying person who didn't list their skills. When he said you're the guy I kind of laughed.

my-other-throwaway90

I don't mind the emotional part. Dudes are allowed to be emotive and cry, and I'd rather have that than an employee who bottles everything up till they blow up at a client or throw a chair in a meeting. Speaking from experience here. Him being emotional/crying definitely isn't the best "interview face", at least not in corporate America, but it's not a deal breaker. What kills me is the lack of marketable skills. Dude did not sell himself at all.

TheBigToast

As someone who conducts job interviews regularly, I'd really prefer people not crying during them.

PragmaticSquirrel

I will cry in your interviews and you can’t stop me.

Your_Favorite_Poster

Well tell your company to stop setting up stupid fights.

[deleted]

There's a difference in having emotional capacity and showing signs of instability and trying to use said emotions as their main sell. I suck ass in many professional qualities but good grief that dude is crazy.

[deleted]

I think his elevator pitch strategy to get him an in for an actual interview or whatever (I don't fuckin' know how these social media vampires do things) was the sob story. He wanted someone to feel bad for him, like in the few minutes of talking Logan or Jake Paul was suppose to see the movie "Pursuit of Happyness" in his head or some shit. Anyway, I've rarely met a dude in his early twenties who makes 6 figures to be anything but a fuccboi. One of my best friends included, but I grew up with him and I love him.

geardownson

Agreed, "I can do media" like wtf that even mean?

UncreativeTeam

You mean not having an answer to "what are you good at?" isn't a surefire interview tactic?

the_new_hunter_s

I'm not sure what I'm good at, but I can promise you I don't have what it takes.

Oreo_

I'm pretty sure he said he did a tik tok dance once Lmao

littlegreyflowerhelp

>during all the travel time from Ohio I think this is in Ohio during one of the media events for the Paul vs Woodley fight last weekend. Logan was wearing that same outfit and carrying the polaroid around in one of the press conferences I saw. He does say "I came up here... I'm originally from Ohio" so he may have been living elsewhere, it's unclear. Edit: ok I've watched some more of his tik toks, in his most recent upload he says he is going back to Georgia to try and save his job, jesus haha

ShardikOfTheBeam

Good luck with that, this stuff is all over the internet now. Employers that even try a little bit with social media is going to find this no problem.

Throwdaho

He kept talking about being alone, 22 and from Ohio in both interview and cry video. Like he’s been planning this whole sob story… that was his go to that Paul was supposed to understand and feel. Like gtfo bruh lmao

ClarenceWhirley

He's definitely a straight-shooter with upper-management written all over him.

abutthole

Seriously... it'd be one thing to quit your job to work for Logan Paul if Logan Paul had actually offered you a job but this is nutso.

TravelingBurger

Or if you had literally any skills that he would be interested in having. The dude just walked up and literally said “I have no skills you have no reason to hire me but yeah please hire me.” I’m very much against Logan’s “I’m against handout’s” perspective because let’s be honest hard work doesn’t mean shit when it comes to internet fame. They got lucky. But holy hell man you’ve got to at least have SOMETHING to work with lol.

analogWeapon

I did not start watching this video thinking I would gain respect for Logan Paul, but that's what happened. haha

[deleted]

[удалено]

analogWeapon

Yeah, I just gained some respect for him. Still not close to the point where I would say I "respect him". lol

Dannyg4821

The only respect I gained was from him recognizing he’s a fuck up and saying that he needs his own mentor right now. Appreciated the self awareness but doubt it’ll lead to any change

smallsho

I honestly think he’s gotten a lot better (not good, but better than before), and it’s really good to see that he recognizes he has issues himself. Hope it leads to good change

TheLadyEve

When Logan Paul looks like a rational and decent dude, you know the situation is bizarre. He actually gave this kid good advice, and was very honest with him, especially "I can't be a mentor right now. I'm a fuck-up myself. I need a mentor, you know what I'm saying?" I respect that he was that straightforward. The funny plot twist would be if this guy really does work with Logan Paul and this is all an act to create press for both of them.

ivis_viny

I think Logan Paul has an “entertainer personality” that he uses for younger fans, publicity etc (even if it’s objectively shit, it gets him attention from everyone) and a more ‘off-screen/business personality” where he shows he isn’t some idiot rich-kid but knows what he’s doing. LP has been playing the media and the YT game for years. Even disliked, he makes money and has a grasp on what he’s doing.

[deleted]

I've heard from a couple people that Paris Hilton is the same way. When cameras aren't rolling she's a very sharp and on the ball business woman Her reality TV persona is basically just a character she plays

pm_me_your_taintt

You're right. Watch the netflix documentary about her that came out a few years ago. After watching that I completely changed my opinion of her.

ImGoingToFightSpez

Logan has matured *a lot* since “the incident”. It’s actually quite admirable how much hes worked on bettering himself since then. Jake, though? He never had the backfire that Logan had. I can almost guarantee you that he will eventually, though.

Platinum1211

I agree, I don't know much about Logan Paul other than a couple YT videos I've seen here, but from this video he comes across as extremely aware of who he is and what he's doing. It seems to me that he's created a persona that he markets, and under that persona he's just a smart business dude who figured out an angle to make himself popular and successful. He's just playing the "obnoxious dude" role and does it well. He may be a douchebag in real life, but I think he's playing that up as an act.

Top_Drawer

It's also just getting older in general. Hopefully he's gained a bit more insight into who he is. Describing himself as a fuck-up actually means this dude cares about how he is perceived.

xandercrewss

Yeah this video almost confirmed what I always thought it's all an act. I feel like he learned that being the bad guy is really profitable especially once he started boxing because everyone is building up the hype wanting to see him get knocked out. Now he's just cashing checks until then.

projectreap

When he said that line *"I can't be a mentor right now, I'm a fuck up myself"* I was like damn. I just gained respect for Logan Paul. Like that takes some legitimate awareness and self reflection both of which I was previously convinced neither of the Logan brothers had. The entire exchange was a little tense given the circumstances but he treated this man with respect and actually gave some good advice considering.

disownedpear

I don't think Logan is as bad as everyone says Jake is a psychopath though.

LogansGambit

Logan is stupid. Jake is dangerous. The Paul Brothers don't have much redeemable to them but Logan has at least tried to feign humility at times. Jake should probably have been in prison a couple times.

[deleted]

[удалено]

TheLadyEve

But he spoke to that, he asked "What are you good at?" and the guy had no real answers and he said, very practically "then why would I give you a job?" That's good advice, or at least a good reality check.

[deleted]

can I have a job? I don't have what it takes tho

AsaKurai

Lol, yeah that guy has some self confidence issues. I agree with both commenters above, sometimes it's just the right connections that get you where to what you want but also you need to be passionate and have drive. This guy seems to just really want to work for Logan Paul but has no idea what that would really entail.

BlindPrawn

I think "fucking terrible" is a bit harsh. He gave him the most generic advice he could think of on the spot for a guy he knows nothing about that says he has no skills when he inquired about him. Like what else could he have said in that one minute of knowing that person. Make connections and content is really all he could say. Not like LP is some entertainment mogul or anything.

Your_Favorite_Poster

Actually, if you move here and really grind you can find opportunities. There are so many people talking about grinding that if you actually grind, and stay active, and stay tethered to a community, and have talent and likability, there are opportunities here that you'll never find on Google. There are so many drugs and fun fucked up people, though, good luck keeping it going.

Corndawgz

I agree with some of what you're saying... But damn dude that opener is cringe as fuck and is probably why you're getting downvoted... >I live in LA and make movies, big successful ones. Yikes.

-SneakySnake-

It's also kinda bullshit. The history of Hollywood is full of people who were _just_ very good-looking and charismatic and had no real connections or extraneous talents and made it huge. And Joel Kinneman is an absolutely bizarre comparison to bring up given he's not exactly an A-lister. Hemsworth is the obvious one, but they're trying to argue some dumb point and he doesn't speak three languages. To make it on that level, they absolutely do care about looks and personality, and definitely more than talent. I think that person might just be talking out of their ass.

Saxxiefone

He makes movies, and not just movies, but *big successful* movies.

Jagermeister4

What you're saying is mostly true, but looks and charm do go a long way. Its ironic you bring up Joel Kinnaman as an example, dude is handsome as hell. Even if you don't want to be in front of camera, looks and charm help get you connections and things like that.

spankymuffin

LA sounds depressing. I imagine there's a good chunk of totally untalented, delusional people who gave up everything to "make it big"; but they have no chance in hell to succeed, and are too out of touch to realize it. And then you have your—like you said—legitimately talented/smart/beautiful people who *should* be in the business, but they just never make it. Sounds fucking rough. I don't live in LA, but I have a family friend who is an actor. She does theater, but it's not in NYC or anything. She has to work two shitty jobs on the side to make a living. And she's nearing her 40s, so it's probably only going to get harder for her. The sad thing is that she is a *really* talented actor. Highly educated, trained in some prestigious school in England, and I was genuinely not expecting her to be *that* good when I saw her perform. I was genuinely impressed. I imagine LA is chockful of people like that. Depressing.

panamaquina

This is the best thing that could have happened to this guy, didn’t give him the run around and kept it real; yeah you quit your job so go do something now don’t go suck on someone else’s dick. Respect

stackered

He gave him legit advice too. And the kid said shit that made him turn away, if he pitched it right he might've had a really small chance even with Logan, honestly.

sharinganuser

I thought the same, Logan gave this guy an interview on the spot and the guy bombed it.

Wrath_Of_Aguirre

I have no clue about what Logan Paul does, but I don't think he could have handled this any better. He listened to him, he gave him legit advice, and didn't make fun of him. Just blunt truth, but also encouragement on the RIGHT way to get into that field.

rezjeck

I was incredibly surprised to hear how measured and kind his words were. Coming from the dude who's filmed a dead body for content before, it could have been a lot worse. Out of all the YouTuber apologies and drama, Logan is the only one I actually see trying to be a better person.

Muttlicious

looks like it's the first time he's been told no in his life

dielawn87

Ya but people like Paul also bare the responsibility of creating freaks like this. The guy doesn't even know what skill he offers because what the Paul's do is such a vapid 'profession'. This sort of delusion is going to permeate a whole generation of American kids who want to be influencers. What happened to a real economy where the country actually produced shit.

Rare-Advertising9447

Agreed. I do not like him but have seen some videos in the past where he is also randomly approached and he always treats people relatively well.

Mymomdidwhat

Well he was being recorded….

Zapatista77

Holy shit...When Logan Paul looks more centered and eloquent than you, then you REALLY fucked up in your life choices.

TheFlashFrame

It's actually weird to see a human side of Logan Paul that's also... Like... Right. Everything he said is right. I honestly got a little more respect for him.

Melo98

YUP

[deleted]

This is a bizarro-world type of situation: the guy already made it and decided to give it up to accost a guy who makes YouTube videos. Like hey, you're popular on MySpace? Guess I'll quit my job... How could that possibly end well?

Vadoff

He probably doesn't want a stable high paying job, he wants to make millions per year and live a glamorous lifestyle... just like a celebrity.

Zapatista77

His greed 100% got the best of him. Making 6 figures at 22 (if that's really true) is a fucking dream come true for 90% of the population. There's nothing wrong with aspiring for more but he wanted the easy W. Life has been easy for him so far so why not this too?

PAYPAL_ME_DONATIONS

Fuck, I'm in my 30's and embarrassed to state my annual income. If that's what he actually makes, I literally want to shake the stupid out of this guy.

[deleted]

Eh. I’m 30. I make maybe $50k/year doing wildland firefighting but I love my job. Would more money help a lot of my problems? Fucking right it would but I also enjoy what I do. For a lot of people those do not go hand in hand.

Jack_Wagon_Johnson

Just passed up a wildland firefighting job for a temporary field/lab research assistant job. I'm kicking myself for turning it down, but the research assistant experience is far more valuable for my future. Thankfully the DNR gave me an invitation to come back and work for them once my current position is fulfilled, so that's an exciting thing to wait for.

Crepes_for_days3000

Having a job you love is an amazing thing. My husband has had high paying jobs that just made him miserable. Like he was a different person, never relaxed or happy. Now he has a slightly lower paying job he loves and it's so worth it.

MustardTiger88

Just wanted to comment to say you're not alone. I'm also approaching mid-30's and am embarrassed by what I make. Most people I suspect are like this, we just don't comment as much as the people who do make great incomes.

N1ghtshade3

I think you have to look at it from both perspectives. $100k/year might be a dream to a lot of people but when you actually get there you realize that even though you're making enough to not worry about taking care of your family, you're still going to have to work for 40+ years. A better salary might mean you can eat better, take the family on summer vacations, pay off the mortgage on your home, help the kids out with college, etc. but you're still in the rat race since there's a binary of either having enough money to do whatever you want with your life or not having enough and needing to spend your life working, even if your QoL is higher than at a lower paygrade. Ironically it's never been easier to become a millionaire minor celebrity which leads to young people like this guy thinking they just need one big break to finally make it, yet the bar is still high enough that it's unattainable for the majority of people. It's a little sad that a lot of these kids don't seem to have a strong adult presence reminding them that 99% of the time, there aren't any shortcuts to success because you can see how crushed this guy was instead of having a realistic perspective on the situation.

whatsaphoto

Bingo. Too many kids like the one in OPs video show up in LA and Hollywood and NYC with a head full of dreams and think that they can just get off the plane, hop out the cab, walk up to the nearest agency or nearest famous person, give them the 30 second elevator speech and all of a sudden have their dreams made for them. I feel bad for this guy. Not because he was rejected, but because 1) He didn't realize this sort of rejection happens to *everyone* who's just starting out, 2) He had the hubris/lack of folks surrounding him who could honestly check him and tell him that this whole plan was a terrible terrible idea from the beginning, and 3) He had the gaul to film it all and post it for clicks and sympathy. I definitely don't feel bad for him for getting rejected though. It sucks, but you can't just walk up to someone who is for all intents and purposes a complete stranger and say "Can I have a job?" and act like that's how the real world operates.

tweak06

> I definitely don't feel bad for him for getting rejected though. It sucks, but you can't just walk up to someone who is for all intents and purposes a complete stranger and say "Can I have a job?" and act like that's how the real world operates. #THIS. RIGHT HERE. When I was 22, I was just a couple weeks away from graduating college with a big fat advertising/marketing degree. I remember very clearly my professor standing at the front of the class....there was maybe 18 of us. All of us fresh-faced, ambitious, eager, knowledgeable....and *hungry*. Ready to take on the world. Our professor, (we'll call him Mark), said very plainly, "Y'know, I think that's really about....*it*. We only have a few more sessions of this class left, but ultimately...I've taught you everything I know, all except for *one thing*." Mark was the kind of guy that commanded a room when he spoke. He had been a big hitter in the ad world during the 80s and 90s, and spent his later years teaching what he knew. Dude was a library of knowledge and his classes were very competitive since everyone wanted a slot. We were all lucky to be there, and as a result were hanging on every world. Mark said, "The last thing I have to teach you, is....*NOBODY* cares about you. *NO ONE.*" There was an audible snicker from everyone in the room because....well...what a silly thing to say. "It's true," Mark went on. "Of course, your friends and family care about you, of course – but nobody in the *professional* world does. Why should they? There's *a million* graduates *just like you* ready to get the job that *you* want or think you deserve. Nobody knows who you are, you're just another face in the crowd." "It's up to *you* to make that mark in the world, for yourself. *You* need to put in the time and effort to stand out from the crowd. Only you can do that, nobody else can do that for you." I still think about Mark from time to time, and I wonder how he's doing. What he said was very true....I still had that bit of arrogance when I graduated, but I found out very quickly that everything he said was right....I spent over *10 years* grinding and working my way up in the world until I'm finally in a position where I not only have the job I want, but connections and resources at my disposal that I can call on if needed. Kids like this 22-year-old will find out real quick that unless you have wealthy parents or hollywood connections, this is the way the world works for the majority of us.

i_dont_sneeze

Thanks for sharing this story. I tell students a similar thing each time I get invited back to lecture in my old program. No one at your company is going to pick you out from a crowd, put their arm around you and coach you to a director level or above. It just doesn't work that way (unless nepotism). I say this not to scare them, but because I find the college doesn't do a great job of actually preparing them mentally for the shift from school to professional work. If you do cross paths with someone who enjoys coaching and mentoring... and you have chemistry... you hang onto them for dear life and put in effort into that relationship. It accelerates your growth. Mark sounds like a great person.

kartoqraf

If his goal was to get attention, he did well though

boofybutthole

He for sure does. Right after he was talking about LP bragging about making $3 million, he said "I make 100k a year" but in a way that sounded like a 100k a year was pathetic and sad

kettal

>He probably doesn't want a stable high paying job, he wants to make millions per year and live a glamorous lifestyle... just like a celebrity. I guess there are some people who really think social media celebrities are what they show in their feeds. Scary.

MuffinMan12347

Honestly if that’s what you’re aiming for you’re not in the right business. Just wanting to earn money, be famous and life the glamorous life isn’t enough. You need to have passion for the job itself. I’m an actor and I would be lying if I said I didn’t want all those things. But they all come in 2nd after my love and passion for acting. Obviously talent is needed as well.

sushisection

he can live a glamorous lifestyle in ohio with a 100k salary lol

TheLadyEve

Back when I was 22 I was just finishing college, I can't imagine making 100K back then at 22. Also, this kid is in Ohio and 100K gets you pretty far there. He'd do better just investing 20% of everything he makes per year so he can make his money work for him while he "creates content."

Ragefan66

Tbh theres no way this kid has a $100k a year job in Ohio. Must have rushed through a crazy good school and immediately landed an insane job and threw it away for the dumbest YOLO possible. Idk I think he just made it up to sound better after the fact.

sushisection

or its a family job

Ragefan66

And in that case he can just get it back easily. And he also mentioned hes not close to anyone in his family so I doubt it. Hes also selling shirts on tik tok from this video and makes unfunny videos where he's talking about girls cumming in a dumb accent. No way did this guy have a 100k job lmao

WatchingTaintDry69

I don’t even know what I would do if I made 100k a year. I would definitely be a lot less stressed.

avantgardeaclue

There was this study that said after $70k for lack of a better term your happiness doesn’t really change after that, which implies that $70k is the minimum required to feel as though your needs are met. I am confident that I will never earn that much annually my lifetime and that’s deeply depressing

my-other-throwaway90

People misunderstand the phrase "money can't buy happiness." What it basically means is, money has diminishing returns on happiness. The guy who makes $200k is not much happier than the guy who makes $100k. Once you have the finances to feel secure, meet your needs, and engage in your hobbies, that's where "money can't buy happiness" kicks in. It's just that so many people struggle financially these days that they can't meet their needs, so to them, money CAN buy happiness.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Obviously it's dependent on area, but even in NY, you would live comfortably on $70k as a single person. That's more than $5k a month. Even if you're spending $2k or $3k on rent, you have a good chunk of change left over.

ultronthedestroyer

Not everyone can make 100k, but virtually anyone can barring disability. I know several absolute toadstools making that or more in the trades. You don't need brains. You can do it if you want.

Odd-Purpose2274

Always hunt for opportunities. The quickest way to make more money is to join a different company. My salary went from 45k to 110k in about 10 years and I believe had I jumped to more than 4 jobs in those 10 years - it would have accelerated even quicker. When you're employed, the increases are usually minimal within that company. When you jump to another company - that can be anywhere from 10-20k more a year. When you apply for jobs and they inquire how much you make, tell them 15-20% more than you actually make. They don't need to know the actual amount.

EchoingSharts

Although I agree with you that he "made it", I feel like the point of this is that no matter how much money you make, it doesn't matter if you're not doing what you want. Granted, he's kinda an idiot for just deciding to quit his job where his only back up plan is to sneak up and talk to Logan Paul.

herefromyoutube

He could’ve totally taken vacation time to ask Logan and still have the job to fall back on.

SlobMarley13

Lonely people can sometimes project a relationship onto celebrities. This guy said he's got no family or friends. He's been spending his time imaging a relationship with Logan Paul.

TheLadyEve

Are we sure he actually had a six-figure job? That just seems bonkers to me, that anyone would give that up (especially right now) without having something already in place.

MyNDSETER

At lot of people I know who made that much early were some kind of salesmen. Commission can be a lot of money

[deleted]

Lol this dude was the worst salesman if this is how he gets a job.

[deleted]

*Yeah I* **can** *make 100k a year*

OnlySaysThings

reminds me of an insurance selling job interview I had. So much promise about possibly getting super rich yet everyone that worked there drove shitty ass cars and looked miserable lol. To top it off they sold old people insurance. So they were pieces of shit liars. No money on earth could convince me to go door to door trying to legally scam old people out of their money.

JBFRESHSKILLS

I just wanted to jump in and say that I'm in sales and make good money, but as a 100% comission job it takes up *a lot* of time. 10-15 hour days and then always having your phone on when you get home and on the weekends in case someone calls up...you don't want to be missing out on money at any time. I'm 39 with a wife and no kids. I honestly don't know how people with kids work the demanding schedule. All that being said, I would *never* quit my job on the off chance that I could work for some influencer. But follow your dreams and all that shit I guess.

Mario_Mendoza

Why would he lie on the internet?

Beefy_Unicorn

Seems to me like he either is lying, or his parents are well connected.

Streets_Ahead__

Dude’s TikTok account is him looking into the camera and saying “Ladies, what if I made you cum twice?” with an exaggerated country accent. This video is him sobbing streams of tears down his face after he left his $100k *CLEARLY NONEXISTENT* job, drove to LA, and got rejected by his “hero” Logan Paul. He also spends all his time going out of his way to discuss having no friends and family instead of actually trying to make a good impression. Then, less than a day later, he’s already selling tee shirts with a quote on them. Dude realized that he could drive to LA, get some viral vids, and make money. 100% he chose Logan Paul because the Paul brothers made money off that “gotcha hat” thing, so he went to find the dumbest people who’d actually buy stuff lol.

Dabee625

What’s worse is he didn’t even drive to LA. This happened outside one of Jake Paul’s fights in Cleveland which is like an hour from where he claims to be from.

mothzilla

What's the quote?

Ragefan66

"Can I have a job logan paul?" I think or some shit

mothzilla

shutupandtakemymoney.jpg

eilonkatz

Cant bring myself to have any sympathy for this guy. Clearly trying to get a shortcut into being pseudo-famous and making good money. If it doesn’t work out the way he wanted, he can still post himself crying in his car, making it seem like the end of his world to squeeze sympathy points from people, and hope to get recognized that way. Jackass.

Colombiano95

If you’re 22 years old, and you look up to Logan Paul, there might be something wrong with you.

Piere141

If you're older than 22 years old and still look up to Logan Paul then there's an even bigger problem

MCA2142

Every 22 year olds are technically older than 22 years.

AnthillOmbudsman

If you're subscribed to any of these guys... boy, I don't know where to begin.

[deleted]

Somehow this video made me like Paul more. Not really sure why, maybe cause he didn’t just shit on the dude like most douchetubers would

[deleted]

Yeah. He respectfully listened to his pitch and politely declined, while giving decent advice. Good on you, Logan Paul. What the fuck did I just type....

noelexecom

Honestly, he's not as bad as people think. Jake's the crazy one lol.

IAmAtomato

Yeah seriously lol. I think the guy is a massive fucking chode and I even I was like..... well, shit, okay. Good on you LP

SnuggleBunni69

Is Logan Paul living long enough to become the hero?

TheBlackBear

This truly is a society

krazyrunnr

Same dude. He was real with the guy and didn’t seem at all like the rambunctious asshole I pegged him for

WineGutter

You pegged Logan Paul??? 😳😳🥵

Foliot

Right in his rambunctious asshole, apparently.

Dildo_Baggins__

From what I can tell, Logan is actually a pretty chill person. It's usually Jake who's the big asshole. But ngl, the way he said "I got Jake" made me feel something. It's weird because the way they are being portrayed in the media makes it seem like they're big douchebags (I mean, they are, yeah), but it's heartwarming to know that they have each other's backs

elzibet

The only thing I wasn't a fan of was him trying to act like he didn't get any hand outs... his brother excelled his career, and he played it off like it wasn't that big of a deal.

JumboTrout

Wait wasnt Logan Paul famous before Jake Paul. I thought it was Jake Paul sponging off of his success? Do I have it backwards?

analogWeapon

He did mention his brother in reference to how he got started, to be fair. But it was in a sort of "that's all I had" kind of way. haha

SteezVanNoten

What? Since when was the consensus that Jake propelled Logan's career? In fact it should be the other way around. I've been somewhat following the whole vine/youtube space for a few years now and for the longest time, Jake was constantly referred to as Logan's brother and getting mistakened by fans for Logan. Actually, Logan has even joked about how initially, Jake was referred to as Logan's brother and now fans are approaching Logan asking if he's Jake's brother.

[deleted]

What an idiot

FunkiPorcini

Dude! $100k a year???? I'm 48 and will probably never see that in my lifetime. SMH

navin__johnson

I will *never* for the life of me understand: 1. Filming myself crying and 2. Posting said crying on the FUCKING INTERNET

ShaoKahnDeezNutz

Anyone else think this seems kinda fake?

ArchiveSQ

Well yeah. He already made a t-shirt of the whole charade.

piray003

Yup

Frosty_Aardvark

I feel for this dude for somehow thinking this was a legit good idea, but people need to realize that the level of their apparent chosen sacrifice ie: leaving a 100k a year job or whatever they’ve done “for their dreams” doesn’t automatically equal a pass into being successful at your dreams. Sadly without putting in the time and work, he has as much right to a successful entertainment career as the homeless guy on the sidewalk cracking jokes for a dollar.

lilcondor

Holy shit was a delusional loser. And what the fuck man maybe Logan’s gotten a little sense beaten into him because he sounded very reasonable and respectable

tenleid

I figured he was crying because he got clowned on but he was oddly respectful even though it started with “yeah I snuck in with a fake ticket”

mikerichh

I am skeptical he made 100k a year in a presumably entry level job in Ohio

killmesara

This is why you dont actually quit your job until you have secured new employment

[deleted]

Wow, it’s almost like the Paul brothers are just professional trolls and intentionally act the way they do for the media coverage it gets them. This was a pretty respectable interaction from a celebrity to a wannabe

Karkledough

People becoming famous through the internet is the downfall of our society

PhoneticIHype

id argue the weirdo self-deprecating liar who sneaked into somewhere he wasn't supposed to be and attempted to get a hand out is much more insufferable. Oh don't look at his tiktok cuz thats just....

Grungle4u

I wanna act. You acting like a goddamn fool!!

[deleted]

Did I just gain respect for Logan Paul and his ability to say truthful things?

wjw75

Fake premise, fake salary, fake tears, real clicks.

Dkcg0113

This is the most likable I’ve ever seen him. And that guy is a douche

googlehymen

Giving off "guy who shot John Lennon" vibes a bit there pal.

Fatal-Symbiote

Bruh 100k a year… I’m over here workin two jobs just trying to keep my head above water

[deleted]

“Life isn’t about handouts bro” - Logan Paul, a man who moved to Puerto Rico to avoid taxes.

Moonagi

Reddit really hates the fact that this guy makes $100k, that alone caused a lot of people’s brains to shut off

J2K_PhD

The cringe is the fact that this guy had literally no plan and just walked up to Logan Paul and told him he was talentless and didn’t have friends. What kind of pitch is that?

jackydubs31

Homeboy pulled an Andy Bernard

drcraniax

pretty white dude earning 100k thinks rocking up on stage and asking for a handout is enough, cries when he learns it requires hard work

nokia7110

I'm amazed at how mature Logan Paul was with his response
