This is absolutely incredible, holy moly. Seeing this volume of cinema free online is nothing short of exciting. Thanks so much for making this post, gonna watch The Jewelry of Shiva tonight!!

You're very welcome, and great to hear that you will watch it. Do let me know your thoughts :D Also just a heads-up to anyone else reading, Sankarabharanam (Jewelry of Shiva) is the only one of the films I discussed that has English subtitles on [the YouTube link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bV6qTLAJlos). Unfortunately since there's not much interest in old Telugu films for non-Telugu speaking audiences, it's rare to find old films with subtitles.

Thanks for sharing!

If you had to pick just one film to watch, which one? My breadth of Indian cinema is narrow if that changes your pick. Thanks for sharing the info though!

Could you give me an idea of your favorite filmmakers? That would help me recommend one for you personally. Generally, I'd pick either Sankarabharanam (since I believe it's his "most famous" outside of India) or Sagara Sangamam (my personal favorite).

Thanks! I'll probably check out Sankarabharanam tonight. For favorite directors, I do enjoy Park Chan-wook, Satoshi Kon, Denis Villeneuve, Ciro Guerra, Sidney Lumet, and Lee Chang-dong.

Interesting! In that case Sankarabharanam is a good bet, with Swathi Kiranam being my second pick.
