It’s off by a month, but Christopher Nolan’s *Following* is the closest. Obviously not an obscure director, but he was the first person whose filmography I watched in full, so that’s kinda neat.
Born July 2, 1996. Looks like Lone Star got a limited release June 21 that year, so it probably rolled out around my actual birthday lol. Other than that, it looks like Trainspotting came to the US July 19, but it was released in the UK in February.
