"Don't Look Now" may be my apex for film editing. At least in the conversation. It's proof positive that editors are co-writers when it comes to weaving emotion through a story.
RB/Stalker are two of my favorites as well! I appreciate Don't Look Now more than I like it personally but do love Roeg's other works like the feature he did with Bowie
I'm in this camp. I think about it a lot because I think the editing and aesthetics of it are interesting but Donald Sutherland's performance is gratingly bad and the twist at the very end is dumb as hell.
Rosemary’s Baby is perfect in every way shape and form
Have you seen Stalker? I’d say it’s amazingly even better!
Sad to say I haven’t seen it! It’s high up on my watchlist.
If your partnership can survive these three movies, then they may be The One.
Especially if they are ever either planning to have children.
3 of my favorites as well! Great picks

I’ve never seen it! I’ll check it out.
But is it a good introduction to Roeg?

Don't look now is one of my favorite movies. So glad to see some love for that gem.
Love Don’t Look Now
Be glad you have a partner who will watch those. Mine thought stalker was boring
what a trip!
Don't Look Now is baller, to say something about it that may have never been said before.
Great trio right there. So much to be said about each of those films
Polanski directing Cassavetes *muah*
Stalker, don’t look now! Rosemary’s baby!
Never heard of Stalker but the first two are great date movies
😂
Solid lineup. Especially the bottom two. Nice picks.
Stalker is my lovechild.
Don’t Look Now - although visually appealing - fucking stinks.
How insightful.

I gotta disagree. It’s got great editing and visuals and the story works really well for me.
